My father (who died when I was 7) bought me this book when I was 5. He read it to me several times (it was usually my mother who read to me), so that made it very special. The artwork is unforgettable and, now, obviously that of the beloved Richard Scarry. I still have my copy tucked away in my closet.

I read this book when I was younger and I just loved it. I have
always loved all the books by the Scarry's that I have read.
I just find their artwork incredibly appealing.

I guess for some bizarre reason that I will never
understand-- this book is considered controversial.
