The first three books in the epic Sundered Crown Saga plus The Nightblade prequel novella.
The royal family of Delfinnia is assassinated, sparking a conflict that engulfs the realm – the War of the Six Claimants. Amongst the chaos, dark things are stirring: in the mountainous lands of Eclin, the ancient N'gist cult rises, setting its evil plans in motion. A diverse group of heroes oppose them: Luxon Edioz, the first wizard seen in an age; Ferran of Blackmoor, a legendary monster-killer; Sophia Cunning, a retired witch-hunter; and Kaiden, a noble knight of the Order of Niveren. The Sundered Crown Saga is a tale of magic, monsters and epic battles.

Absolutely an epic fantasy series that combined all the elements of a good fantasy series. I READ for pleasure, fun, light romance, love , excitement , being SKERT as I called it when I was young and this 3 book series fulfilled every reading need for me. The last part that described ALL eras of history was fantastic!! it explained in summary form each era and that told me there are more to come. Great great great reading pleasure.
Great trilogy to start the series. Matthew has built a world full of Wizards and Witches, Knights and fierce warriors. And don't forget the Dragons (who doesn't love a Dragon). Plenty of blood-shedding and battles as they try to find a way to defeat the evil that seeks to destroy their world. There is also an exciting Nightblade story, plus plenty of information on the world. I cannot wait for Book Four - Voyage of The Sundered Crown. Read them all, you won't be disappointed.
This was one of those times when you can’t wait to finish the book so that you can start the next one. Loving the varied plot line. Can’t wait to get the next one.
This trilogy serves as a delightful start to the saga, one that truly finds its strength in how deep the world's and conflict's history are. For fans of wizards and knights epic fantasy with a dark lord and armies of undead, but that's spiced by a deep background and foundation-of-the-world roots to the central conflict, this should tickle your fancy.
This was a very interesting approach to a Fantasy tale. I was a little disappointed with some of the grammatical errors I encountered. Overall the characters were well written.
this should be a five star review but the kindle version is riddled with grammar and spelling mistakes which jars me out of the adventure. Other than that wonderful world building with great characters, not everybody survives. In short a wonderful story that could do with a good proof reading.
