The prayer, "Jesus, I Trust in You" is a whole program of life in fact, it's a journey. But we rejoice, because Mary has already walked along this journey of trust, and she walks it again with us! Stepping on the Serpent: The Journey of Trust with Mary is a meditation upon the meaning of the short prayer, "Jesus, I Trust in You." Stemming from years of personal prayer and lived experience, Fr. Thaddaeus Lancton hopes to encourage the reader to take the next step in their own journey with the Lord.
Fr. Thaddaeus Lancton, MIC, is the youngest of five. His mother died when he was two years old, and his father died shortly after he graduated high school, leading him to redouble his commitment to trusting in Jesus, The Divine Mercy. His childhood dream was to become an Air Force pilot and pilot the space shuttle, but the Lord called him to the priesthood.
He attended Strake Jesuit, entered the Jesuits briefly for one year, then discerned out and entered the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. He studied at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he obtained a BA in Philosophy, then he studied in the Philippines, Washington, DC, and Poland for theology. He received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Katolicki Uniwersitet Lubelski (Catholic University of Lublin, Poland), and is continuing his studies there for his Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology. He is also currently a student at Divine Mercy University for his Masters of Science in Psychology.
He lives in Stockbridge, Massachusetts at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy and is the formator for seminarians living at the Shrine. His hobbies include reading, writing, running, and baking.
