"You feel that, baby?" His voice rasps beside my ear as his tempo finally slows.
"This is real. You, me... us"
"Yes" I whisper, wanting so badly to believe it, my chest aches with the wish.

Avery is deeply in love with Dominic who is constantly spoiling her with trips and expensive presents. She is lost in a world of luxury, sensuality and nonstop passion.
Every time Avery and Dominic are together, they always end up making love.
Every time they are apart, they are thinking of each other and they are searching for each other.
There is of course domestic bliss in the paradise of Dominic’s New York penthouse, but there is no talking about their common future.

Trying to keep her personal autonomy and her hard earned independence, Avery decides to rent a cheap studio which she shares with two more rising young artists. Avery will get two more friends to be able to discuss about her art and to get encouragement. And her talent will start blooming. Let’s not forget how much Dominic had been belittling her art in the previous book. Avery needs any kind of encouragement.

As their story proceeds, secrets and lies are a constant threat to their happiness. There are moments in which I was not sure who was keeping more secrets from the other.

Since the book is written from Avery’s POV, we really do not know how Dominic is thinking. The secrets that Avery has are a constant unbearable burden.
But before the end of the book, we will realize that the secrets Dominic has are even more unbearable. The strong, untouchable Alpha male will go to pieces and we will get to see his emotional side.

I am looking forward to some real groveling and finally some honesty by Dominic in “For 100 Reasons”, the next book in the series.

An EROTIC DELIGHT that will have you on the edge of your seat! An instant addiction and a COMPLETE escape, with an intriguing storyline and an ending that will leave you gasping for air. Lara Adrian is becoming a FAVORITE of mine in this particular genre. She may be new to it, but she sure writes it like a PRO!

"I can't deny him. My body and my will are both at his mercy. And so is my heart."

Well, it's safe to say that I'm officially addicted to Nick and Avery's love story. And it's getting better and better and even more mysterious than ever! Even though a bomb was dropped towards the ending, there are so many more questions that stem from that, and I just can't wait to get my hands on the next installment. Some secrets are out, but many are still hidden, and Adrian isn't taking any prisoners! You will fall and you will FALL HARD at the ending of this, but I just know it's going to be worth it in the end. And Dominic Baine...I freaking LOVE this man! Rich, powerful, mysterious, intriguing! I could go on. I think we see a different side to our hero in FOR 100 NIGHTS. A side of vulnerability that you wouldn't expect from a man like him. It's unexpected, so freaking sweet, and unbelievably sexy! I need MORE of him!

"I'm not a prince. God, never hold me in that light. You'll only be disappointed." His touch gentles, even his gaze goes hard with intensity. "I'm not a good man, Avery. But I am the one who loves you."

OMG! Could you hear my SWOONING and SIGHING? God, THAT MAN!!! The walls surrounding both hearts come crashing down, just in time for them to be completely broken. How much betrayal can you endure before you break completely? Well, you're about to find out in this installment of the sexy and captivating 100 Series. Get ready to meet your new addiction!

Good news! Lara Adrian knows how to leave just enough tidbits of the past that in case, like me you did not read book one, you are good to go. Avery has never known how the rich and famous live, she hasn’t even known how the middleclass live, but now she is in the lap of decadence and luxury with Dominic, her billionaire lover. Is Avery living in a fantasy bubble that could burst at any moment? Will the secrets of her past be the dagger that bursts that bubble?

Dominic demands honesty, loyalty and total sharing between the sheets and in their everyday lives and Avery fears the impact her lies of omission will cost. She is in love with Dominic, her heart, mind, body and soul are his to command. What she doesn’t realize is that Nick has his own monsters in the closet and he isn’t being forthcoming, either. Between the two of them, their lies and betrayal will test the bonds of trust they have forged physically and soul deep.

Lara Adrian’s FOR 100 NIGHTS is erotic romance through and through. There is a sharing of trust and even love and control, but Nick is the dominant one with the biggest trust issues and fear of loss of control. While we share in and have vapors over their intimate moments, I felt a loss of that special communication between lovers. It was almost too much detail, too much graphic sex and not enough of that special something that brings everything all together as a love story.

We all at one time dreamed of someone who would swoop in and make our every thoughts become reality, but there was something off about one scene where lingerie was being purchased that was a bit too clichéd and cold. Seriously I did like this read, I love Lara Adrian’s gift of writing and authoring incredible reads, but this time out, I wanted more face time and less, um, booty time. I know, I know, call me crazy, but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, except for chocolate.

I received this edition from Lara Adrian in exchange for my honest review.

2nd read:
I’m listening to the audiobook for my re-read and I. highly recommend it. The narrator is fantastic! I’m enjoying this series just as much the second time as I did the first.

1st read:
So deliciously good! I loved the first book and I love this second one more! We end on a cliffhanger that is going to have me completely impatient for the the next book in the series.

"One hundred nights. For each day I deceived him, he demanded a night in return. He wanted all of me. In his bed. On his terms. At his total mercy."

In the first book, you learn that both Avery and Dominick, are hiding from their past.

"the broken parts of me recognize the fractures in him"

Part of Avery's secrets don't stay hidden and the first book ends with Nick demanding a 100 nights from here for lying to him. A hundred nights, completely at his mercy.

"Nick and I came through some of my worst secrets together, but there is more he doesn't know. Things I don't dare tell him. A truth I intend to take to my grave."

The last of Avery's secrets are haunting her ever step in book 2. She's desperate to make it go away all the while she learns more of Nick's secrets that may tear them apart.

Despite seeing how cold and distant Nick can be, he isn't able to stay that way with Avery.

"Tell me you're mine, baby. Whenever and however I want you."

We don't get Nick's POV, but if you look close enough, you see that Avery means more to him than a temporary destraction.

I wasn't expecting the revelation at the end, but while it pushed Avery away, it pulled me in even more. I can't wait to see how Nick goes after Avery in book 3.

For 100 Nights is the second book in Lara Adrian's erotic romance trilogy and it follows on immediately from the first so I'd recommend reading the books in order. I'm going to write this review assuming you've already read the first book so if you haven't it's probably best not to read any further. However, if you're looking for a hot new contemporary romance along the lines of Sylvia Day's Crossfire series then you're not going to want to miss this series.

At the end of the last book we saw Avery agree to spend 100 nights with Nick, completely on his terms and with no more barriers between them. Although she has come clean with him about most of her past she's still hiding a very big secret, unfortunately for her someone from her past has figured out her secret and when they find out she's dating a billionaire they figure they'll be able to make a fortune blackmailing her. Avery desperately wants to handle the situation on her own and I can understand why she doesn't want her past to impact Nick's life but I did get a bit frustrated that she kept things hidden from him for so long after everything they'd already been through.

It's hard to be honest with someone when you know they're hiding things from you though and Nick obviously has things from his past that he's just not willing to talk about. He's also not very open when it comes to talking about his feelings for her or where their relationship is going. Nick is brilliant at action - he's romantic, he puts her above his work, he treats her like she's precious and their sex life is phenomenal - but he's never told her that he loves her and Avery is hurt by the walls he keeps up between them emotionally. We do get to dig a bit deeper into Nick's past here but it's obvious he's not shared everything yet so I'm looking forward to learning more in the final book.

For 100 Nights is an incredibly hot read, Avery and Nick spend a lot of time screwing each other's brains out but I also enjoyed the more romantic side of their relationship and seeing them learning to trust each other more and starting to share their secrets. I will warn you that this book ends on a cliffhanger but I didn't actually find it was a bad one. The final book will definitely jump straight to the top of my to read pile as soon as it's released but I don't feel annoyed that I've only been given half a story like I sometimes do with cliffhangers!

Not going to lie, I was really looking forward to this book. Book one was a 5 star read for me, this one not so much. It's erotica. Plain and simple. Book one, introduced us to good characters, lots of secrets and drama. And while it too was erotica, there was more story than just sex scenes. This book, while it has a small amount of suspense, was mainly about the sex scenes. Oh, there's some other things that happen and a villain, but that felt a bit contrived as it gets taken care of way too easily. And I had forgotten that it was a three book series. This one ends with a cliffhanger, one of my least favorite things when reading.

How many books have to happen to tell a couples happily ever after? Not sure if I care what happens now. Maybe I will read book 3, maybe not. I just hope there's more to it than sex scene after sex scene.

Adrian is one of my favorite authors, but I feel a bit let down this time.

Deeper

This is book 2 in the “For 100” series, and it was twice as hot and twice as revealing for the main characters. Just when you’re sure they’re happily ever after has been clinched, Lara Adrian drops the floor out from under her readers.

Very spicy romantic drama. Four stars. I hate dragging out books, even if it is well done

3 stars!

This book is the second in the 100 series, a steamy romance trilogy featuring an arrogant, controlling billionaire and an innocent young woman with a difficult past. It may not be unique, but it’s a trope that I love, and this book continues the story of Nick and Avery’s passionately intense relationship

Nick and Avery’s relationship started with lust at first sight and they quickly fell into a passionate and all-consuming affair that saw Avery giving herself completely over to the insatiable, dirty talking sex god. And soon, what started out as no-strings became something much more meaningful as real feelings started to become involved, and these two broken souls recognised something special in each other.

The broken parts of me recognise the fractures in him, even if he hasn’t permitted me close enough to touch them yet.

This book picks up where the last one left off, with Avery and Nick entering a new stage of their relationship – one in which they openly acknowledge that they both want more - and it’s romantic, intense, and gorgeously swoony as they explore everything that is happening between them.

“I wasn’t expecting you either. I wasn’t looking to feel something like this. But then you look at me like you are right now…you take my hand, or you pull me down beneath you, and I think maybe I’ve been waiting for you – looking for you, for this, for us - all my life.”

And the sex! Holy hell the sex!!! Passionate, intense, descriptive, and there’s a whole lot of it! In fact, I actually skimmed some of the scenes because there’s just so much of it! But it shows just how much these two feel for each other, how in sync they are, and what a wonderful connection they have.

With him, I’m dancing right up next to the flames of everything I’m afraid of and I’m learning that I can actually enjoy the burn
With him, I’m learning that I crave it.

But Avery still has secrets from the past that she is keeping from Nick, and she’s learning that there is so much of his past that he is not sharing with her either. And when those secrets start to come to light, can they overcome and build something lasting, or will a devastating betrayal change everything?

I enjoyed this book. It’s written entirely from Avery’s POV, and I love the sense of mystery that gives us with Nick as we never really know what’s going on with him. It’s makes his character wonderfully enigmatic, and means that when he does start making declarations, the swooniness packs an extra punch.

“I'm not a prince. God, never hold me in that light. You'll only be disappointed." His touch gentles, even his gaze goes hard with intensity. "I'm not a good man, Avery. But I am the one who loves you.”

I did find the book a bit slow moving though, with not a lot really going on. There’s a bit of a mystery about Avery’s past that seems like it’s trying to build drama, but it’s predictable and I started to get annoyed with her for not just opening up with Nick, yet being so nosy about digging into his past. But I do like the way that she is not afraid to put her heart on the line for him, and be so open about her feelings.

“I need you, Nick.” I stare up into his haunted eyes. “Don’t you know? That’s where all of my wants and needs begin and end…with you.”

The love story develops really nicely and I enjoyed the deep and meaningful moments between them, and it’s all tied in really well with the growth of the characters – Avery regaining her confidence, and learning to explore what it is she wants, and Nick opening up and sharing more of himself.

The book ends on another cliffy, but given what I know about these two, it’s nothing that I’m too concerned about and is one that I look forward to seeing resolved. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with this couple in the third and final book.

3 stars.

FOR 100 NIGHTS is the second installment to the 100 series trilogy by Lara Adrian. This book picks up where the last book finished and doesn’t waste time in getting into the romance between Nick and Avery. As you can expect, it’s hot. If you’ve read Lara Adrian before and are looking to see how different this book is, it still has the excellent writing and twists, but the conflict is much more simpler in this Contemporary setting. There’s more emphasis on the sex obviously and how these two people go from feeling lust to falling in love.

I really enjoyed this book. My favorite part is actually Avery because she is one of those heroines who manages to be sexy without being sleezy. I love it when she asks for things and although she melts for Nick, it doesn’t feel one-sided at all. You can tell that Nick is just as heads over heels with her as she is with him.

Although I can be a little picky with it comes to first person POV, I didn’t have a difficult time falling into this story. I think this goes back to Adrian’s writing style. It’s never too over the top but gives just the right amount of detail that it feels believable.

In terms of the sex scenes, I worried that Adrian may lay it on thick as a lot of Erotic Romances do, but none of the scenes feel out of character or forced. It just flows very well, which makes things easy for me as a reader because I can fall into the world easier.

There is one thing to note about this book- it ends on a cliffhanger. I personally loved it, but I know a lot of readers have gripes with cliffhangers. They see it as the author just trying to get more money out of them. I actually love cliffhangers. Yeah, they suck because you have to wait a little longer for a resolution, but I admire authors who are willing to take that kind of risk, especially since there is such a divide when it comes to readers who enjoy it. So the fact that Lara Adrian does it means that she isn’t afraid to upset people. She would rather write a good story than try to please people. I think I love her even more now.

FOR 100 NIGHTS is a total scorcher that will not only wind you up, but it’ll definitely have you begging for more.

I kind of love Lara Adrian books, and her new erotic series is no exception. For 100 Days introduced us to Avery and Dominic and turning the last page left us all hanging to see what would happen next for this steamy couple.

And let’s just say that For 100 Nights does not waste any time getting to that steam. Nick is powerful and has the world at his fingers and as Avery quickly learns, nothing is off limits. The relationship between these two is all-consuming and wild and he will do anything and everything to make her happy. That said, it’s not all fancy parties and stunning penthouses… both Avery and Nick have secrets and they are both trying to figure out a way to trust each other enough to share them. As things come to light, Avery has to decide if she can forgive Nick for a betrayal she never could have imagined.

So I completely enjoyed this installment of the story… I like that there is some underlying story to this that at least moves a plot along. That said, I would say about 75% of this book is sex, sex, sex. I’m not a prude by any means… seriously. But these two were like rabbits on meth. I don’t even know if it’s possible to have as much sex as they did… (I mean I’m game to find out someday but I think my vagina would say no). I feel like even after Nick just had sex, he was raring to go in less than 5. I’m all for endurance and staying power, but seriously.

We also get some deepening of the relationship between Avery & Nick – not just because of the sex, but you see growth in the relationship between them and I really enjoyed that.

The focus of this book though seems to be Avery. We delve into her past a bit more and learn more about her mom, why she’s in jail, and who from her past is now reappearing. We see her grow more as a character and come into herself, becoming more secure in not only her sexuality, but her painting and what she wants to do with her future. I anticipate the next book will provide us with more of Nick’s history and the things that have influenced who he is today.

There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this story (I know some of you hate that) but it truly didn’t bother me. It made sense to have it end where it did, and I for sure, am looking forward to book 3.

The second part of this thrilling sexually charged affair between two people from opposite worlds with hard and painful pasts they slowly share with each other leads them both on a journey of building trust...but not entirely and that last step will lead them also on the crossroad altering everything good they experienced from the start...

I loved the story right until the very ending where certain details/simple logical facts and questions that arouse while the plot unraveled and honestly, I thought those factoid details were crucial for the credibility of the story. But since there was no legit reason for NOT having them cleared out in the story I found that act pretty shallow and it made me very determind to 'punish' the story for the lack of it.

It could have been perfect instead of leading the plot towards the superficial mainstream.

Oh, Nick, how could you. Just when you finally admit to loving her.

I love how both Avery and Nick are broken, but trying to help each other deal with what they have faced in their past. Nick admits to Avery over and over again that he's not a good man, but I never saw his devotion being that deep.

Can't wait for 100 Reasons to see what happens with Nick and Avery.

I received a NetGalley ARC of this book for my honest review.

Since this was Book 2, I decided I had better go and read Book 1 first, which I did. And I enjoyed Book 1. But Book 2 - well let me just describe my experience:

Hmmmm....this is sexy, sexy, sexy
Wow - this is really sexy writing
Arggghhhh - why do people have to keep secrets? This is so cliche. She's afraid to tell her secret because it's so awful and could possibly destroy his life. And he has secrets - but he's dark and brooding and isn't going to tell them, other than he's not a good man.
Ahhhhh - finally the secrets come to light. His and hers. And they get past them.
Sigh - All is good.
Crap - There's a Book 3. So what could possibly happen now?
BAM - Out of left field comes the ending/cliffhanger and I was completely taken by surprise.

For most of this book, I thought it was going to be a 3-3.5 star read. Same story, done a zillion times over. Don't get me wrong. It had great writing, great editing (thank goodness), an engaging story line, lots of hotness between the characters, secrets, intrigue. But that ending, I didn't see it...and I loved it. And I need Book 3.

First of all I have to say I absolutely adore Lara Adrian. Everything she writes is awesome. I have to say I am so in love with this 100 series! This first book was amazing, but 100 nights was even better! It was every bit as steaming hot as the first book - Lara is a master at making us hot and bothered, but this one has a plot twist at the end I was nowhere near prepared for! I'm not going to give any spoilers, just prepare yourself and enjoy the ride - they don't make them much hotter than Avery & Nick!

I can't quite put my finger on why this book is such a disappointment to me. I found myself cringing and rolling my eyes during some points of the book because I felt the plot or dialogue was just too much (or maybe too little, I'm not sure). I'm glad this is only a trilogy as opposed to a full drawn out series. I hope the final book 100 Reasons at least finishes off the series strong. I'm not sure I'll be reading this author anymore beyond that.

4 stars; took me forever, but not because it was bad. A good second book to the first. Was thinking it would end with a HEA, but instead it ended on a cliffhanger so now I feel like I have to read the next one.

"At times in these past few months we've been together, I've wondered if there are other scars he doesn't allow me to see. I know there must be, because the broken parts of me recognize the fractures in him, even if he hasn't permitted me close enough to touch them yet."

FINAL DECISION:  A middle book that, for me, exceeded the first book in the series. Avery and Nick are navigating their broken parts in this series.  As Avery's demons recede in this book, we are given an introduction to Nick's secrets that end in a cliffhanger revelation.

THE STORY:  In the first book in the series FOR 100 DAYS, Avery Ross, struggling artist, agrees to apartment sit in a luxury apartment building.  There, she meets Dominic Baine, billionaire. The two begin a relationship although Avery is keeping secrets.  She allows Nick to believe that she is wealthy as well; Avery also is hiding the fact that her mother is in jail for killing her husband who raped Avery when she was sixteen.  After Avery's secrets are revealed in FOR 100 DAYS, Nick demands that Avery give into him with complete trust for 100 Nights.  And thus this book begins. The two are now living together and Avery and Nick are drawing closer together although both still have secrets.

OPINION: I would like to get a preliminary matter out of the way.  This book is part of a trilogy which is about the same couple. I don't take complaints about this fact seriously. Adrian is certainly allowed to construct her story in that manner.  There is nothing hidden about the construction of this story so potential readers should know what to expect.

This book picks up right where the prior book ends. Nick and Avery are engaged in a relationship and are now living together. Avery continues to have secrets from Nick. As the book proceeds, Avery gains in confidence and strength as a woman as this book continues until the revelation at the end.  She is now strong enough to be her own person.

In this book Nick becomes more concrete as a person and less mysterious.. His secrets begin to be unraveled as Avery draws closer to him and his world. This book humanizes him as he begins to reveal his emotional attachment to Avery and as his past is disclosed. In the first book, Nick appears as the stereotypical romantic billionaire with a dark and mysterious past, but in this book he truly gains his humanity as the story moves towards its conclusion.

This book continues the intense, sexy relationship between Nick and Avery but the story contains a sense of drama and plot moving forward. This book ended far too soon for me and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

If the first book of the series was about Avery and her problems, this book ends that arc and begins an exploration of Nick's past.  It constitutes the connection between these characters and I expect that the final book in this trilogy will finally expose Nick's secrets.

I liked this book better than the first in the series because I did feel that this book developed these characters further and because I can now see the outlines of where this story is going. My only reservation is that I have been burned before by these romance in various parts stories. I reserve the right to downgrade all these books if the ending is bad.  Because each of these books depends upon the other, each book is not complete in and of itself, no matter how much I liked the first two books, if it doesn't end well, I will not be satisfied with what I have read so far.

WORTH MENTIONING:  This book ends on the cliffhanger as the book is part of a trilogy.

CONNECTED BOOKS:  FOR 100 NIGHTS is the second book in the 100 trilogy about Avery and Nick.  The trilogy is all about their relationship and thus the books should be read together and in order.

STAR RATING:  I give this book 4.5 stars. This review was originally posted on Top10RomanceBooks.com

Nick and Avery are back and they are as compelling and sexy as ever. When we last left them in For 100 Days, immediate lust had turned into a slow burning and deeper passion. For 100 Nights picks up right where the first book left off and Nick and Avery are ready to take their passion to the next level and see where an actual relationship with each other could lead.

The secrets hinted at in the first book are still lurking in the shadows and as we follow their hot and passionate relationship, there is a sense of concern. We learned quite a bit about Avery's past that could catch up to her and dismantle this dream life she finds herself now living. In this book, Nick's secrets take the forefront and as more and more is uncovered we are lead to a cliffhanger that leaves me anxious for book three.

I am a long time Lara Adrian fan and I would was all aboard the erotic journey she took us on in For 100 Days. For 100 Nights ramped that up for me and was almost more enjoyable. I love Nick and Avery. Their dialogue is delicious, their love scenes sizzle off the page and I am as invested as humanly possible in seeing where Adrian takes them in the final volume in this trilogy. Highly recommended.

I did not like this book. For reasons I cannot even pinpoint. I think it was a bit inconsistent. She told the story of her past from her viewpoint when she lied about what happened only for her to be the one behind it. I think most people could see where it would potentially go but if it’s from her view point, why is she lying in her head. This book was predominately sex. And I like some good raunchy (downright dirty) action but the story line of action was too far in between. It’s basically reading sex for 30 something pages, something dramatic happens on a couple of pages. Then back sex for another 30 something pages. I think because I like a good balance of action/romance this book didn’t sit right with me. I started skimming major chucks of it to get to the heart of the issue. I really do not like doing that but this book was too much at times. And lastly, the hypocrisy of it was a turn off. This chick lied or withheld truth throughout the entire two books. Then when dude’s lie comes out or lie by omission, the world completely ends for her. She looks past all the things this man has done to prove his love and devotion to her and act like all her lying didn’t matter at all. I cannot read the third book. I actually looked through all the spoilers so I wouldn’t have to skim 80% of the book to see how things work out between the two.

For 100 Nights: A 100 Series Novel For 100 Nights: A 100 Series Novel by Lara AdrianMy rating: 5 of 5 starsWhat made Nick and Avery so provocative as a couple is the secrets they kept. He was a man of mystery that kept his life close to the vest. She was a woman trying to outrun her own demons. Two broken people seeking sanctuary in each others arms proved for a darkly sensual, complicated and dangerous love affair. I am so glad that I had the chance to read For 100 Days first because the two books complement each other in that For 100 Days lays the groundwork For 100 Nights. View all my reviews

4.5 stars 100 Night continues Avery and Nick story from 100 Days. I loved this book it picked up where we left the last book and didn’t skip a beat. I found myself falling right back into the story with Nick holding Avery to their agreement and all its twists and turns along the way. I look forward to reading the final in this fabulous trilogy.

Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book was SO much better than the first one! The ending is 🤌🏻

There was a little more romance in this book than the first, but the majority of the story is still spice.

Don't waste your time - plot week and just full of sex. Over descriptive to fill pages. Who really cares how she wipes the counter. Maybe I'm missing something but more than half way in the book and don't see a storyline. 50 shades of grey remake
