Ghost hunter Meredith Good was getting used to being back in her small hometown, Silver Bells Cove, Ohio. The most serious things she's had to deal with the past few months were hauntings and things that go bump in the night. That she could handle. Meredith and Zane go to a local show that hosts popular stage magician. In one of his acts he dies by drowning. When his ghost appears Rebecca, Zane and Meredith are on the case.
This man was adopted and his birth mom sent him a note to come see her and she will be waiting. Or did she. This is what draws him to Silver Bells. Long kept secrets come to life and what they find out makes everyone think twice.
Sarah tells Meredith her and Jonathan are going to get married and wants her as the maid of honor. What could go wrong?
I enjoyed this one we get to see more of Zane. Their romance starts to blossom even slowly. Rebecca comes out more as well.

This was an enjoyable quick readable cozy mystery. The characters were not quite fleshed out yet but since it is the first book of a series, I'll give it a pass. The cop ex-boyfriend is a jerk but the rest of the characters are entertaining. It's your typical heroine sees and talks to ghosts, moves back childhood town and someone is killed. Heroine solves the murder. I love books like these around Halloween time as they get me into the spirit of Halloween. If you like cozy mysteries with ghosts, you should enjoy this book. I am going to buy the other two books just to see where the series is headed. :)

Another fun read
This was another fast and fun read although I have to admit the main character, at times, acted like a teenager which irritated me, but not enough to make me stop reading. I will give her another chance to move on with her life. A good way to spend the afternoon.

Absolutely loved it. The mystery, excitement, suspense, intrigue, drama, emotions, humor and so much more. This is one great series. Her and Kane get closer and people are starting to believe her. Nice to read a series that is so good with out sex in it.

Old secrets turn up to muddy the waters.
Not as good as the first. The main character is acting against what I expected from her based on the first book. Business is chugging along but a visit from a famous magician has the whole community excited. However when he does survive one of his tricks, she suspects foul play. Old secrets come to light and with the aid of the hunky PI they try to sort out who is telling the truth. Her relationship seems to be floundering in this book and she is acting like an adolescent rather than a grown woman. However he manages to save the book and the actual crime itself is well worth reading as it has a surprise at the end
