Engineering Metrology is a book that describes the role played by automated machinery and precision instruments, which are used for precision measurements. The book gives an account of the usage of computers in the domain of metrology. Special emphasis has been laid on the practical aspects of the subject in this book. The subjects of TQM, ISO, and Quality Control and Assurance have also been explained. This book has been edited to be compatible with the course prescribed for engineering students. Different methods of measurement such as linear measurement, light-wave interference measurement, and angular measurement have been mentioned in Engineering Metrology. Various measuring techniques using gauges like comparators, calibration, dial indicators, and ISO metric screw threads have also been explained in the book. Machine tool measuring techniques, quality control and assurance, TQM, and the international parameters for Quality Control, along with testing for metals and metallic alloys, are some of the concepts and topics that are covered in the book.
