I’m crazy, deranged, and psychotic. I’m out of my mind and my life isn’t even mine half the time. Having Dissociative Identity Disorder, it’s an accurate assumption. Born an MC brat, my only dream is to wear the colors of my father’s club, The Shadow Keepers. To feel the weight of the warm leather press across my back, and to be a part of something with purpose.
It wasn’t until the last drop of blood dripped from my fingertips and the gun smoke faded into the night sky that I realized what was really important to me. Him. In a blink of an eye, I lost it all. I lost him.
There’s no such thing as a Free Ride in life, and our story is an example of that.
M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

So I had to take some time to think after this one, I warn you now this is going to be a messy review with some unpopular comments going off all the 5 star reviews.
We start with Harley who is 6yrs old, she is living in a single wide trailer with her mum who 'entertains lots of friends'. She is living a sad life of neglect until her father the president of The Shadow Keepers comes to her rescue, taking her to live with him. The same day her dad gets her she meets 10yr old Benji the son of another club member.
20yrs later Harley and Benji want to be together but Harley won't do it because she has Dissociative Identity Disorder also known as split personality. She believes because of this she can't love someone and she doesn't want to break Benji's heart. But apparently having sex is fine though.
So Harley really wants to be part of The Shadow Keepers not just the club princess but a member who sits in on church (meetings) and rides on runs. Her father is very old fashioned though and women can't be members according to him. Harley decides to prove him wrong and show him she has what it takes, so she goes on a solo mission. Only it's not a solo mission if you have two people living in the one body.
While on the mission we are introduced to Farrah the 'other' personality, she is all girly girl and a raging slut who wants love in any form she can get it. There is really only one way you can describe Harley/Farrah...............
I think what has me bummed is that this started out so good and had so much promise, it just fell apart along the way for me. For me there is a fine line between a realistic dark and twisted read and a ridiculously OTT one, unfortunately this one seemed to cross the line and I couldn't take the story seriously.
In saying that I was thoroughly entertained and still enjoyed the book. I enjoyed the connection Benji and Harley had and how he had looked after her growing up, the notepad he kept was so sweet. M.N. Forgy has always been a 1-click author for me and although I don't class this book in the same league as her others I will still 1-click anything she brings out. Again this is all strictly my opinion and going on all the other reviews I am in the minority.
Give it a go and see what you think.

3.25 Free Ride by M. N. Forgy takes you on a crazy ride with a self-proclaimed crazy woman named Harley. Growing up in a small trailer with her mother turning tricks, she was neglected and abused. Eventually, her father, the leader of a local MC called The Shadow Keepers, takes Harley away from her mother to come live with him at the clubhouse.
It’s there that people begin to notice that Harley is different from other little girls. She regularly pretends to be other people, and by her teenage years, she is diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder a.k.a. split personalities.
Being a child in the MC, Harley didn’t have many friends, but she did have one. Harley met Benjamin the day she came to live with The Shadow Keepers. The two quickly became inseparable with Benji being the only person that really understood and appreciated Harley in every way. Benjamin falls in love with Harley, but she won’t allow him out of the friend zone. She believes she could never make him truly happy because of her disorder. That doesn’t stop him from trying to win her over though. He knows they are meant to be together and hopes one day she will see it, too.
Harley adores MC life and wants nothing more than to become an official member. Benjamin got patched in as the club enforcer, but she isn’t offered a seat at the table because females aren’t allowed to be members. They can be ol’ ladies or club whores, but that’s about it.
One day, Harley decides to run away to try to handle some club business on her own hoping to prove to her father that she deserves to wear a cut…leaving her medication behind in the process. To make matters worse, Harley has never been outside the club walls alone, and soon after she leaves her alter, Farrah, takes over. That is not good news for anyone.
When Harley doesn’t return home, Benjamin takes off to find her despite receiving a threat from her father in doing so. Benjamin is worried something will bad will happen to her out in the world all alone, especially without her meds, but her father just seems happy to be rid of her. Girly and promiscuous, Farrah is different from Harley in many ways. With her in charge, Harley could have any number of things happen to her. Will Benjamin get to Harley before it’s too late?
Free Ride is a quick, fun read. I love books about characters with D.I.D and MC romance, so when I heard this book was both of those things, I was beyond excited. Maybe it was my high expectations, but I was kind of disappointed with this one. The main problem for me was that it seemed way too over the top at times. I rolled my eyes a lot which took away from my enjoyment somewhat.
Despite that, I loved the two main characters, Harley and Benji. Harley was crazy as hell, but I felt for her. She endured things no child should which is why her mind created alters to cope with it all. I loved that while Benji tried to protect her, she tried to protect him in her own way. Harley put Benji’s happiness before her own, and that made her a pretty cool chick to me. Benjamin is absolutely swoonworthy. He is hot, strong, protective, sweet, and alpha. I don’t think I would have been able to hold out if I was Harley. I would’ve probably thrown my panties at him and said to hell with being noble!
Regardless of the OTT portions of the story, the author peaked my interest and made me invested enough in the characters to want to see what happens next. Therefore, I will be continuing on with the series for now. If you enjoy books about D.I.D or MC romance, this might be the book for you!

While I tag books I usually only review them when they are atypical romances that I like or something about the book irritates me to the point it ruins the romance for me. Thankful this story falls under the first category as opposed to the second.
I usually avoid reading MC romances due to the std manhoe behavior with club hoes but this story was atypical in a lot of ways including the hero was not a manhoe but rather far from it. The hero and heroine were each other’s one and only which I loved. I never doubted the his love for the heroine which started when he met her and became her best friend as a child. There was nothing he would not do for her and did for her including accepting and even embracing her mental illness. Honestly I could not be with someone like her and so in that way he is a better person than me,
I love jealous and possessive men and the hero certainly was one. He could not imagine himself with OW and brutally put a stop to other men trying to get with the heroine.
The story had a good mix of drama and hot sexy times. At no point was I bored.
The reason that I didn’t give the story a 5 star review is that I subtracted a star for the acceptance and use of drugs. Both the hero and heroine had started doing drugs at a young age and liked it a lot. In fact they loved when each other smelled like pot. That was a turn off for me.
I will be reading the next book in the series as long as the hero is not a manwhore or If he is one it as soon as he meets the heroine, (less)

M.N. Forgy off the bat hits you with a sucker punch of emotion when we're introduced to 6-year-old Harley. There wasn't a moment I didn't want to jump into my kindle, find that trailer, save that little girl, and give her a hug. She may have been different, but she was innocent and all she wanted was love and attention.
Boom! Fast forward the years and we witness how much Harley has grown and we get a first hand account of her mental state. Harley has Dissociative Identity Disorder, which means she has multiple personalities that plague her mind brought on by the neglect and abuse she endured as a child.
Since being rescued by her father, Grudge, all she's ever wanted was to be a part of the Shadow Keepers MC. They're all she has known. They're her family. She wants to prove her worth to them, show them she's a valuable asset instead of a liability, and by doing so become a patched in member. After all, she would do anything to protect her family.
On top of her internal mental struggles, Harley must battle with her heart. She loves Benji, but she rather be his friend then ever break his heart #tear.
Benjamin, beautiful brooding and sexy Benji doesn't give a shit about Harley's mental state. He loves her kind of crazy. He lives for it! And I dig it!! Their connection is off the wall electric and it's bound to drive you crazy.
My Lanta, this book couldn't have been more twisted and mind fucking. M.N. Forgy just has that touch. Each book she writes gets better and better and she's never afraid to take risks and be an advocate on certain topics. Especially with this novel which deals with mental illness.
I recommend this book to those who want the raw and gritty, who aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone. Take a risk and read it. You have nothing to lose. It's a book that you have no choice but to love.

Free Ride was an enjoyable read for me. I have read most of this authors books and while it wasn't a favorite I'm glad I read it. For starters this was almost a DNF in the first half, but I'm glad I stayed with it because overall it was a good read. Harley suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder since she was a little girl. Her mother was a neglectful, druggie turning tricks with her little girl in the next room. Harley's dad is President of the Shadow Keepers and when he realizes Harley isn't being taken care of he takes her home with him. This is the point 6 year old Harley meets 10 year old Benji. Harley will have to deal with her DID but most of the time it will just get her in trouble but Benji the only safe presence in her life will always be there to fix it. Benji was absolutely the best thing about this book. He loved Harley beyond words and loved all the different parts of her. The journal broke my heart and was the most beautiful thing ever. Now while there were parts that I loved I hated what Grudge did and I was so confused by his actions. Did he love her at all or did her illness make him dislike her. Also there were inconsistencies and editing issues but if you can overlook these things and also the fact that the DID is glossed over I would recommend this quick read. I really hope the author writes more books in this series.
Leave it to M.N. Forgy to bring us something pretty unique and captivating! Known for her INCREDIBLE MC Romances, Forgy brings us something BRAND NEW that will mess with our hearts and our minds. If you’re not HOOKED by the cover or the synopsis, TRUST ME on this…give FREE RIDE a chance because like it or not, this book, these characters, this storyline will MOVE you in ways you will NOT see coming. It’s an incredible feeling to FEEL something for these two characters that are not your typical hero/heroine set-up. Harley and Benji were so FUCKED UP, but that is what made them so freaking lovable! Your boundaries will be pushed with this one, but it will be one HELL of a ride, I guarantee it!
A determined heroine with a split personality disorder and a gruff, relentless, and loyal anti-hero who will stop at NOTHING to bring his girl back…believe me guys, there is NO GOING BACK once you start this bad boy! It’s addicting, sexy, raw, emotional, and so incredibly entertaining! If you are looking for a little mind-fuck to go with your nightly escape, FREE RIDE is the next book for you.

This is my first read of M.N. Forgy and is most definitely NOT going to be my last. This book pulled me in and gripped me in a mind twisting way.
Free Ride was quite a unique story as it covers Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Harley is the sufferer after having quite a troubled start to life. Then being brought up as the club princess in the Shadow Keeper's MC. She then lives and breathes the MC lifestyle. Her various personalities throughout the years have sheltered her, or caused her trouble. With only one constant person that has always been there and excepted they way she is and that is her best friend and club brother Benji.
"Find something you love, and let it kill you. Harley is my something."
Benji is in love with Harley he doesn’t care that she is crazy, in fact Harley not being normal is what he loves most about her. He is extremely protective when it comes to Harley and he has claimed her for his own.
The only thing is Harley refuses to acknowledge that their connection is more, wanting to protect Benji because of her illness. Benji has had enough now and he has been friend-zoned for far too long. When Harley disappears, Benji is beside himself and is bound and determined to bring her back, and fully claim what's always been his. The only thing that has him worried is will he be in time to save Harley from herself?
"She's my disaster, and i'll be damned if i let anyone walk in the walk of my club's princess except me."
Free Ride left me speechless at times but in such a good way. Every time I thought I had a grip on the characters and the story there was the next unexpected twist or turn that gripped me all over again. Great MC read, fantastic twisting story.
Today I picked up an arc of Free Ride by M.N. Forgy and was surprised to have read it in one sitting. I have to say this book is a hell of a ride! I was completely captivated by this story line. HOOK LINE AND FREAKIN' SINKER! M.N. Forgy knocked this one right out of the F*cking ball park!
Harley is the princess of the Shadow Keepers MC. She also has a split personality. This is unlike anything I have ever read before. I loved this new take on the MC trope. Benjamin (Benji) is a member of the Shadow Keepers MC. For nearly his whole life Benji has looked out for both Harley and Farrah being the boy and the man who each personality needed. Now Harley is missing and Benji has set out to find the woman he's loved for nearly his whole life. Will he find her before its to late.
There was the perfect mixture of emotions with this book. Intriguing lust, heavy angst, and a shit load of mysterious endeavors.
I love M.N. Forgy's writing style. With each book that passes I go in with a clear mind, almost like this is a new to me author just so I can write an unbiased review. And each time I am blown away. Free Ride though, this book is the icing on the cake. This novel is so different from anything I have ever read in the MC book world. I'm intrigued to find other novels that deal with split personalities.
Seriously, READ Free Ride, you WON'T be disappointed!
Wow, so different from what i'm used to read, really liked it!
So, i was scrolling through my ebooks on my kindle and saw that i had this one. I had no ideia going into it what it was about, i just was really intrigued by the cover. This was some crazy shit, and i really liked it! Having the whole switch between Harley and Farrah was really great. A revelation about one of the members of the mc club really caught me by surprise! Really curious to know more about Jesselyn, hopefully the next book is about her. Kinda ship her with one of the members of the club ( if you read this you probably kniw who i'm talking about). That blue notebook was really awsome. Loved to know a bit more about the other alteregos. Please realease the next one soon!
Let me tell you M.N Forgy really knows how to write about emotionally Fudged up characters that you can't help but sympathize and be drawn to . I've read a few of this authors stories that I really enjoyed but this one knocked them out of the park . Benji and Harley have known one another since they were little he was her protector the one that loved her crazy , she's always felt something for the hero but kept putting him in the friend zone thinking that her illness would hurt him . It was really beautiful to see her come to realize how much he has done and to really see his love for her and let me tell you Benji will have your panties evaporating while also being swooned off your feet . From the first page I connected to Harely my heart broke for the little girl who only wanted love , I thought it was really interesting that the author put in a couple chapters of one of her alters and to see how different she was to Harley (Harelys characteristics awesome , tough , protective dresses like a bomb as biker , has piercings and tattoos loved her ) (Farrahs characteristics needy , girly , slutty , and tries to cover Harely up by putting makeup on the tattoos and taking away the piercings not really shore how I felt about her ) .Benji is yummy once an adorable kid who declared he'd protect Harely to and adult sexy biker who's living up to that promise , seeing the way he was with the heroine just blew me a way and to see him admit that he loves Harely and all her crazy just made me want to jump him . I can't wait to read more about the secondary characters you just know they have one hell of a story to tell . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero=10 heroines= 10 and 8 secondary characters=10 Chemistry=10 steam=9 romance=6 humor=4 darkness level= 7 action=4 mystery=4 enjoyment=10 angst=2 story line=10 Story ending=10 character development=10 pacing= 10 cover=10 stars=5 author= 10 would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
"WOW! Free Ride is a glimpse into living with someone multiple personalities. Harley and Farrah occupy the same body but their personalities are so different, one light one dark but in a way they complement each other. This is fascinating to read and to see the differences and how they interact between themselves. Harley is the Shadow Keeper's club princess but everyone treats her differently because of her condition but all she wants is a place at the table.
Benji has been her protector since they met, and he has been in love with Harley for just as long. He will do anything for her, even protect her from herself. ""She's my disaster, and I'll be damned if I let anyone walk in the wake of my club's princess except me.""
Can they together find their HEA? I definitely recommend this book!"
If you like things a little dark and a little twisted, you should totally read this book. With more personalities there is more emotion, and more hot and steamy sex.
Harley wants to be a part of the Shadow Keepers Motorcycle Club, like an actual member. But, it’s against the rules. So, she devises a plan and sets out to prove herself. One thing she forgets in her plan is her medication. The craziness is elevated when her alternate personality Farrah comes to light. Farrah is Harley’s opposite in every way. She even craves a kind of attention that is against Harley’s wishes. Can Benji save Harley and Farrah before she does something that can’t be undone in this psychological romantic suspense?
Let’s start with the cover, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s probably my favorite of the year! Now onto the book… what can I say my mind is completely blown right now. M.N. Forgy took me on a roller coaster ride to crazy town and back, and I loved every minute. This is a beautiful MC love story mixed in with a twisted and mind shattering psychological thriller.
Let’s start with the obvious question here… Who do I love more Harley or Farrah?!? It’s such a hard choice because both girls are amazing. Wait let me back up a bit, technically they are the same person, but on the inside, they are both completely different people. Interested yet? Believe me I was sucked in from page one.
Harley grew up in a not so loving environment. When she was six years old, her father, the president of the Shadow Keepers, came to her rescue. This is where she meets Benji. Benji is her best friend, her knight in shining armor, her rock through everything, until he becomes more. Benji has been in love with Harley for years. He knows that she might be a little crazy, but she is his crazy and he loves every single part of her. Benji has been the only beautiful and supportive person in Harley’s life, so when she takes off Benji is on a mission to find her.
All Harley has ever wanted is to be a part of the MC club her father runs, and it’s time to show she is worthy. But what happens when Harley becomes Farrah and all the lines start to blur. Will Farrah wreck Harley’s plans to join the MC, and leave Harley lost in the darkness forever?
I cannot rave about how much I LOVED THIS BOOK! It’s pure perfection. I loved every single crazy part of Harley, and of course Benji is just the perfect man. These two share a history no one else will ever understand. I have to say hands down this is the best book MN has ever written, and I cannot wait for me!
4 stars WOW what a book this was.First i want to say i absolutely love the cover,I think it totally captures the subject of the book.Second i love Mrs.M.N. Forgy books, she wrote one of my favourites biker romance so this book was one-click from me.Third before starting this book ,i didn't have a clue about dual disorder so this was a new territory for me.So why 4 stars?I think it has too much craziness, and i think the biker romance is put second thing and i couldn't understand the thing with Harley father The story The story begin with 6 year old Harley who lives with her mother in a trailer, her mother is absent and have a lot of 'male friends' in her house. One night her father, who is the president of the Shadows Keepers MC,come and save her. That night she met a boy Benji,he is the son of one of the members of MC.From the first moment Benji see her,he know he will protect her till the last day of his life.Twenty years later Benji and Harley are grow up.Benji love her and want she to be his old lady but Harley is torn between her love for him and making the right thing because her Dissociative Identity Disorder. She doesn't want to hurt him.So Harley really wants to be part of The Shadow Keepers not just the club princess but a member who sits in on church and rides on runs. But her father is very old fashioned though and women can't be members according to him. So she decide to go on mission where she can prove herself, but she forgot her pill and on this mission we meet with Farah a complete opposite from Harley.Benji knows Harley is his love and no matter her craziness he love her so he goes to find her.But can their love get past many obstacles on their path?
Overall it's good book,it's remind me little of Tara and Jax from SOA(and how much i cried when Tara died in the TV series).I'm looking forward for book 2.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Free Ride is hands down my favorite book by M.N. Forgy. From the moment I started reading, I was captured into Harley's world, which is somewhat dark and sometimes scary. First and foremost, I want to applaud Forgy for tackling a mental illness topic and bringing it some light and attention. I don't think I give anything away when I mention that in her author note, Forgy talks about how she made some different decisions through the process and one of those was to make a change to not hide the fact that Harley is suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Kudos to you, M.N. I love the way that Harley not only doesn't hide it but she embraces it the best way she can.
Now that I got that out of the way, let's talk about Harley. She's had a very rough start to life and even though she eventually ended up as the Princess of the Shadow Keeper MC, she continues to lead a difficult life. As mentioned, she is diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder so we get to witness the struggle that Harley has. How she blacks out when another personality comes to the front and how she has to live with that when she comes back to consciousness. I think Harley is strong, fierce and beautifully flawed. I fell for her as much as Benji did.
And then there is Benji. *SIGH* He stole my heart and melted it from the start. The second we met him, I knew his connection with Harley was going to be epic. I can't tell you how many times I swooned and held my chest when Benji would talk about Harley. He loves her unconditionally and to watch him love every single piece of her and use it to help her and to grow their connection was just truly beautiful.
"She's a curse and a blessing. Wild but caged inside of her own mind."
Free Ride is heartbreaking and uplifting, bided by epic love. There are twists in here that you won't see coming and you'll constantly wonder what is going to happen next. But one thing you can always count on is Benji's love for Harley. I seriously can't express to you how much I loved this book and I really do think this is the best thing Forgy has written to date. You do not want to miss out on it.
M.N. Forgyrenders an alluring tale that focuses on one woman's fight against mental illness, her desire to show her worth, and the love she has for the one man who wants every single piece of her.
Harley has multiple personalities, medically diagnosed as Disassociative Identity Disorder. All she wants is to be a part of the Shadow Keepers, her father's MC and not just the club princess, but her disorder makes her a risk to the club and she's a woman.
Benji is the Enforcer of the Shadow Keepers and has his own duties for his position in the club. Yet, to him, his main priority is Harley. He's always been there for her, no matter what. No matter who she thinks she is. This man loves this woman and he has since he was a boy and she was a girl. He geniuinely and unabashedly loves her. Psychotic ways and all. She's his, even if she doesn't realize it.
But Harley doesn't make it easy for him. She pushes him away, taking a friendship over a relationship because her frequent black-outs and never knowing where or who she might wake up with plague her and she's not willing to take that chance.
But that's not the main focus of the book. This book tackles mental illness in a gritty and twisted way as the h takes us on a journey, one in which we meet Farrah, Harley's only other dominant personality as Harley attempts to prove herself to the only family she's known since her father brought her to the clubhouse at six years old.
Filled with emotion,Free Ride is more than just another MC book... It's thought provoking and enticing, making this one hot psychological romance that will surely screw your mind!
“Stay still...Can you feel my heart beat against your back?...Can you hear only my voice?...The chaos and the voices can’t be heard if you stay still and let me have you.”
Benji is the ultimate alpha male as he goes to war with his MC for the woman he loves, risking it all for her. Harley is the MC Princess but she’s viewed as being a little too broken to truly have any worth to her dad, the President of the Shadow Keepers MC. Having multiple personalities she is a handful and one her father tries to keep hidden. Yet she yearns to be more, to be accepted, to be loved by her club. Trying to prove herself Harley finds herself battling against her alter ego who is vying for supremacy as she experiences life outside the MC for the first time since she left her humble trailer park beginnings. Can Benji find his woman before things spiral too far out of control? Will Harley prove to herself she is more than enough just the way she is?
This is a MC read with a difference as it also explores dissociative identity disorder and takes the reader into the fractured parts of her soul. Creating multiple personalities to cope with trauma Harley is a complex yet amazingly strong young woman that captured the struggles of mental health issues perfectly. Facing so many challenges the author poignantly expresses the whirlwind of emotions she faces trying to live with her condition. Love, acceptance and understanding are key themes throughout this story with Benji being her rock. He is totally head over heels with her, all facets of her and he quickly became one of my all time favourite book boyfriends. This is a fantastic read that doesn’t disappoint for MC lovers as it has all the signature themes of brotherhood, bad boys and walking the wrong side of the law combined with suspense, intrigue and dastardly plot twists that will make you gasp. Harley and Benji are a lustful pair with Farrah turning up the heat numerous times, it ticks all the smut boxes too! Blood soaked romance is my favourite 😉
Free Ride is not your typical MC story. The author stepped out of the box with this unique romantic and touching story! This read that had all the grit and suspense of a an MC but with an added twist. I couldn't put it down! The intriguing and compelling story of Benji and Harley was one I had to stop and process after I finished. Their romance was a twisted emotional journey full of high highs and low lows. The writing was fantastic, as the author gave us their dual perspectives of their complicated relationship. Harley's horrific past caused her to experience serious mental health issues, impacting her ability to feel like a part of the MC club her father was the president of. What Harley does to prove her worth in the MC takes the reader on a a twisted and painful journey where she comes to grips with questioning her sanity and real past experiences. Benji was not only the MC enforcer of the Shadow Keepers but he was the champion of protecting loving Harley. This story highlighted flawlessly the trials and tribulations mentally ill people go through and the struggle to feel accepted. Harley's character was created beautifully and her challenges were depicted realistically and with integrity. Benji's commitment to protecting her made him the ultimate badass sexy alpha biker and I need another read with Benji!! MN Forgy's best writing to date!
ARC Review: Free Ride by M.N Forgy is about Benji who since the first time he meet Harley all he wants to do is protect and love her, and that what he does. They grew up together and have love each since they were kids yet because of Harley having Dissociative Identity Disorder she pushed his love away. Though we can see the deep running love they have for eachother it takes one single breaking point to want to risk it all for the one you love.
Benji is protective of Harley and loves every part of her. He is torn between his club and her love. He wants to find a way to keep both.
Even though Harley loves Benji she doesn’t seem it fair to tell him how she truly feels because she thinks no one will love her because she feels so broken. She loves Benji because he has always been there for her but doesn’t want him to see her a a burden.
Things aren’t alway what they seem. Dissociative Identity Disorder is rare but as humans we sometimes don’t see what is right in front of us because we want to protect ourselves from the truth.
Wow! Just wow! Benji and Harley’s story is multidimensional and Long standing. They have known each other for years and Benji has determined that she is his and he will protect her, at all costs.
Harley has had a difficult start with her mom and her MC President dad that she rarely sees. But one day she is taken into the MC and away from the life she had. That’s where she meets Benji Who upon seeing her, immediately says he’s her protector.
But Harley has some mental issues, split personality disorder, and so she has another personality we meet, Farrah.
This book was written with so much explanation and thorough thought for split personality disorder, how it appears to people, how it affects those with it, etc. Reading this book pulled me in within seconds of starting!
Harley is the daughter of a MC pres, and it's no secret she has Dissociative Identity Disease (DID) - schizophrenia in layman's terms. Benji has taken care of her for most of her life, including all her personalities. Harley gets in lots of trouble due to her DID, but her biggest problem isn't her disease.
I really like this author and have loved some of her books. This one is a bit simplistic to me, and the editing was not so great. I may continue the series but I'm not sure.
This is a 3.5 for me because it was an MC book with quite a unique story to it which isn't easy to find nowadays; I round up, so it's a goodreads 4.
I liked this book. The writing was ok and the storyline was different and alright. There didn’t seem to be a lot happening to the storyline. Not sure how to describe that. We met the characters then Harley left to prove herself. Farrah had some classes and moments with the professor. Benji showed up. They went home. Grudge betrayed people. Benji rescued Harley. That’s about it. I enjoyed the read though. I liked the characters. I thought it was interesting to read about Harley’s life with DID. I’m not 100% sure still why Farrah hung around so long. The book hinted at it but it was more guesses than a resolution to that alter. There were some confusing parts in regards to how things were written and some typos but they weren’t overwhelming. I love this author’s books and will definitely read the next one. Her other MC books are great.
So if you DON'T want to read about a kick ass biker princess that would rather be patched in, who has multiple personality disorder, that enrolles in Uni, killing ensues, a nut house is involoved more killing ensues maybe or maybe not in that order BUT through out is a howt as hell hero than this book is def NOT FOR YOU!
This book is hands down my favorite book of Forgy's. It was so different than her other MC books and it's absolutely amazing. I can only hope there will be more to follow. ❤❤
