As comprehensive a summary as you will find of one of the Boer commandos that fought in the Anglo-Boer (African) wars. Well researched, full of interesting information drawn from a wide variety of sources. Somewhat pedantic, and somewhat too Boer-centric and sympathetic for my taste. On the other hand, for a keener of this era, a great read and an amazing source of information.
