#7 THE ROACH

I never thought I would return to that farm I ran away from. I never wanted to return to my hellish family I still have nightmares about as a grown man. After my father was murdered, I swore I’d never go back. But my grandfather is sick. He’s dying. He’s the only person who ever believed in me and said I was special. Now I have to go back and say goodbye.

But this homecoming isn’t what I think it is. Everyone is back: my drunk mom, my angry sister, even my troubled drug-addicted brother. They’re all hiding something on this old, dying farm. It’s a dark secret, one that could destroy my entire life, and my grandfather knows the truth.

Just when I’m ready to say goodbye to Grandpa, he tells me that one of the family members is killing him, and it’s the same culprit who murdered my father so many years ago. I have to stop them from murdering the only man I’ve ever loved. But which one is it?

By the end of the night, to save my grandfather, I may just kill my entire family.

THIS IS A STAND ALONE HORROR NOVEL. IT CONTAINS A TWIST ENDING. IT CONTAINS GRAPHIC MATERIAL THAT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL READERS.

The Roach is book 7 in the Psycho series by RC Patterson. This one was decent reading, although I have issues with fish hooks and flesh which really made me flinch. There were several times where I had to skip a few sentences and take pause from the gory details.

And like every other RC Patterson book it was sloppily written, with grammatical issues and formating issues. It’s pretty plain to me that RC Patterson is just sick in the head and not a very good author. I just keep reading them because I got them for free, they are short and I need to read a horror story every single day this month.

And again, like the other books, it has DRM.
