I have to tell you guys that sometimes I just need a light and fluffy romance to dive into and lose myself in. There are just a couple of authors that I can know that no matter what I pick up by them, they will fall into that category, and Candis Terry is among my favorites. I really enjoyed book 1 in her Sunshine Creek Vineyard series and was looking forward to book 2 and I wasn’t disappointed!

Declan Kincade is what some might call a workaholic. Growing up he never had it easy… struggling to figure out why he didn’t get things as quickly as his brothers, but once he was diagnosed with dyslexia he pushed himself to succeed and succeed he did. Running his own Wealth Management company has made him a lot of money and a portfolio of clients but he doesn’t do it alone. His executive assistant Brooke helps keep everything running smoothly and she’s irreplaceable. Which means for the four years she’s worked for him, he’s basically had to ignore any feelings that might have grown between them. He won’t mess up their amazing work relationship with a fling no matter how much he might want her.

When Brooke and Dec find themselves in close quarters to work from Dec’s family vineyard after his parent’s unexpected deaths, Brooke is bound and determined to show Dec that there is more to life than having a successful career.

I really enjoyed seeing Brooke get Dec to let loose, and I liked the way her background was revealed and the why of who she is today.

If I had to admit that something bothered me, it would be that Dec kind of used Brooke a bit. I get his reticence to start something with her, but then stick to your guns, don’t randomly kiss her like it means something and then pull the employee/employer card the next day. No way. I loved at the end that Brooke stuck to her plans and what she wanted for herself instead of making plans around what Declan was hoping to do.

Overall a lovely addition to the series and I’m excited to see which brother we get to learn more about next!

Thank you to the publisher for an early copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Another fantastic entry in the series mainly because of the heroine who was the complete package, she was fun, flirty, sexy, intelligent and so full of life despite how she grew up and what she had been through. The hero on the other hand was as stubborn as a goat and Mister serious. H/h have been working together for four years and heroine has finally decided to make him notice her. I loved how she rocked the hero's world and introduced colours into his life. The hero, he was so stubborn sometimes that like the heroine I wanted to bash his head in. As usual awesome characters & chemistry in this one.

Perfect for You is the second book in Candis Terry's latest Sunshine Creek Vineyard series. It features five delicious brothers, whom I believe will all get their happy ending. This book is about Declan Kincade, the third in line, twin of Jordan Kincade (the hero of the 1st book), and his lovely assistant, Brooke Hastings.

I LOVE Candis Terry's books. She has become one of my favorite go-to authors for contemporary small town romance. Perfect for You blends the recipe for boss/employee romance, opposite attracts, a dash of road trip, and it comes out altogether delightful!!

Declan is more reserved, he is very focused (a result of suffering from dyslexia which makes it hard for him to concentrate on multitasks), and he lives for his career. While Brooke is living her life with one goal in mind, to be fearless (she even has a charm bracelet with that word). She wants to seize the day, be adventurous, and fills the entries on her bucket list.

I really loved Brooke -- she is AWESOME. Sure, I felt her background might be a little too much for this lighthearted romance but I could easily dismiss it because I thought she rocks! I loved how she butt-heads with Declan, her determination to make her boss lighten up and enjoy life ... and most of all, I loved Brooke for standing her ground when Declan being stupid. She knows she's perfect for Declan ... and if he can't see that, well, it's his lost.

Declan was a good hero -- and because the whole arc for this series is about the Kincade's family, Declan's background might be more solid than Brooke's. And I couldn't help it, Declan was yummy :p. But yeah, Declan needed a big smack on the head, for not being able to see what's good for him. Luckily, his brothers and sister are willing to do it for me.

I definitely had a lot of fun reading this. Their banters SIZZLE. I loved the road trip part so freaking much. Oh, and we finally discovered the "secret" that Daddy Kincade kept away all these years. I think it will continue in the next books ... and I wonder how Terry will work on this arc.

PS: I hope the third book will be about Ethan and his "one who got away"

In the second of her Sunshine Creek Vineyard series, Ms. Terry proves that she only gets better with each book. The characters, plot line, sexual tension, and overall heat of this novel had me cheering for this couple all the way from the first page through to the last.

Declan is wound so tight that I swear he was a half-second away from snapping. I could feel the tension radiating off him - he was stressed out and in desperate need of letting off steam. His employee, Brooke, is the perfect person to help him do just that. And, as she's been in love with him since almost the day she met him, she's more than up to the challenge.

These two have such a great working relationship, so I was curious how the author would bring these two together without messing that up. True to Terry's style, she put them both through the wringer, gleefully torturing them all the way to the happy-ever-after, which was delivered with a smooth and cheer-inducing finish.

The subplot of the puzzle that this family is trying to sort out (it started in the first book) continues through this story, leaving me even more excited for the next one in the series (and I was pretty darn excited for this one). We got to know some of the other brothers even better here, and it certainly did whet my appetite for more Sunshine Creek Vineyard stories. Five stars - highly recommended!

What a fun book! I was already invested in these characters from book 1 (thought this book can be read stand alone) so I was excited to read Dec's story.

Dec is the workaholic of the group. I was surprised to find out why he's a workaholic and it added to the reasons why he resisted his sexy assistant. This aspect of his personality wasn't revealed in the first book but it made him so much more real to me. Not a typical workaholic by any means, he really does already love his assistant. But he's just too used to the business relationship to let anything else in.

Enter fun loving and determined Brooke. She had a not so pleasant (heavy dose of sarcasm there) childhood yet she comes through it with a happy outlook. She started her bucket list at age 10 and she's working hard to make things happen. Number one on the list is marry the love of her life. Yeah, that could be hard when Dec won't let them outside the boss mode. But Brooke is an insistent thing and she has a way of talking him down. Loved her lots.

The story was just so enjoyable as you watch these two try to avoid what the other wants. Dec thinks things are fine the way they are. Brooke wants more...way more. They banter back and forth, keeping thing interesting and the pages flipping. And once that first kiss happens? Well, poor Dec just doesn't know how deep he's in it.

Great for character driven readers, this book is flat out entertaining.

Declan always felt like he had something to prove. He wanted to be exactly like his athletic and smart brothers and worked extra hard to make something of himself. He's now a successful business owner. Even though he's well off financially he doesn't have much of a life. He hasn't got any close friends, there's no love and there's no fun, the only thing he does is work. Because his brothers need him he has to return to the family vineyard and to keep working while he's there he takes his assistant Brooke, a woman who's very good at what she does, with him. Declan recently discovered that he isn't just happy with her because she's a capable assistant, he also finds her very attractive and being in her presence brightens his days. Will spending even more time together finally bring him what's missing in his life?

After a difficult childhood Brooke is doing everything she can to make her life fun. She wants to live and she has a bucket list to make sure she does everything she's always wanted to do. She fell in love with her boss Declan when she started working for him four years before. He keeps their relationship professional, but maybe their trip to his family's estate will bring them closer together. Will they have a chance or is Declan's businesslike attitude something he can never switch off?

Brooke has a sunny personality. She's positive, organized and cheerful and she knows what she wants. A road trip with Declan is an adventure for her and she makes sure she teaches him how to live a little too. That's something I loved about Perfect for You. Brooke's amazing attitude and bubbly presence put a big smile on my face. She makes Declan come out of his shell and I liked that a lot. He's serious and he always wants to prove himself, but with Brooke he discovers a whole different side of his personality. They're perfect for each other and I enjoyed reading their wonderful love story.

Perfect for You has a nice fast pace. I flew through the pages and couldn't wait to find out more about Declan and his family. There are secrets he and his siblings need to uncover and Candis Terry slowly reveals some of them. I can't wait to read the rest of the series to discover more. Declan is from a large family and his siblings are all equally interesting. I love the idea of such a lively big household and think it's a fantastic basis for a series. Perfect for You is a lovely sweet romantic read.

Usually in my romances I'm more for the hero then the heroine. But with Perfect for You I leaned more towards the heroine. I really liked Brooke. She is so fun and sweet! She brings life to everything around her. It's hard not to be happy when you are with her.

It's not that I didn't like Declan, because I did. It was just that at times he had a very hard head. There was more then once that I wanted to climb into the book and slap him upside the head.

More then once.

I understood why he was the way he was, but that didn't stop me from getting a little ticked at times. Of course it was all "me wanting to kick his ass" I also really enjoyed the story.

Perfect for You has all the humor and fun that her other books have, plus a great story. I was glad to visit with the family again and I'm enjoying the mystery with it. Perfect for You continues said mystery and adds a new layer. One I didn't see coming but can't wait to learn more.

We'll have to wait till the end of September for Tangled Up in Tinsel. Oh the wait!!!!

In book one, we met the Kincade brothers (and the one sister). Their parents died not long ago and since then, they learned shocking things about their father and even if other details are revealed in this one, there's still other mysteries left. I like that Candis Terry made the choice to not give us all the answers and to give out new information with each book. Together, they're all trying to keep the family vineyard afloat.

Declan Kincade is the most introverted of the bunch. He's a little uptight, sometimes broody and he's a very private man. He kept the fact he have dyslexia from his brothers and it's always been a difficult thing for him, but he never let it stopped him from his goal to success. Everything he have, he worked hard for it. But it also made his work his main (and maybe only) focus in life.

Despite a difficult start in life, his executive assistant is the complete opposite. She worked hard to escape from a tragic fate and to get where she is now, but she choose the light, instead of focusing on the bad things. She's sassy and fun to be around.

Brooke have a crush on her boss since they met four years ago. All this time, Declan sought to not see her as anything but a mere employee. It worked well, until his brother made a remark about her beauty. After that, he cannot help but fantasize about his assistant. Declan sudden desire for her can seem very quick, but for me it felt like it gave him the perfect distraction to deal better about the family tragedy.

Brooke will take the opportunity of a business trip, to try to crack his armor. Her bubbly personality mean that the journey won't stay in work mode for very long, especially if she bring her little dog with them.

Brooke encourage him to let go, to discover a playful side he didn't know he could have and that makes him happier.

It's cute how he noticed all her habits and nervous tics, but at the same time he's totally clueless about her attraction to him, even when she's not subtle about it. It's sweet that he wants to know more about her, even if we can argue he should have wanted it when they first met.

It's sweet how she's trying to make him smile, especially since he doesn't do it often. And her bucket list is adorable.

Declan will try to keep her at arm's length, afraid to being close to someone. But fortunately, the heroine is not, and she fight for what she wants. I really enjoyed the story, but for me, it was the characters who made this book even more special.

This story had wit and cute characters, but I lost interest before I finished the book. In fact, I couldn't remember if I actually finished it or not. At about 60 pages before the end, I was done but the book wasn't. Naturally, I finished it, but it was boring for me by then.

My other complaint was at the beginning. Brooke has been totally professional and a competent assistant for 4 years and seemed to kind of change overnight. Just because she was in a car instead of the office, she dresses scantily, is flirty and pushy in wanting to have fun and show Declan fun. For me, it was unrealistic that your boss has never seen any side of this before and now you are a date instead of an employee. Although my co-workers don't know all of my personal life, they still see bits of my personality all the time. It didn't seem that way with Brooke. She seemed to change completely and became very overt in seducing Declan.

If you are looking for a light, summer romance, I think there are a lot of other authors and stories that are better choices.

What’s it About? Declan Kincade has spent most of his time plotting, planning, and putting into action his plans for success into action. He’s literally the embodiment of the “All work and no play” adage. Brooke Hastings has worked with Declan for four years and she’s the best employee he’s ever had. She’s dedicated, intelligent, efficient, and more than capable to handle anything thrown her way. And she’s had a thing for Declan for just as long, except he’s been so “busy” that he’s never noticed her until now. Now Declan’s noticing just how attractive Brooke is in addition to her qualities as an employee.

Describe the hero in five words: Stubborn. Driven. Workaholic. Smart. Loyal.

Did you like him? Yes.

Why? On the surface Declan looked and acted like your garden variety workaholic who wants to take over the world so he can feel important. But he wasn’t. He was driven by some very personal demons and that took him from “jerk” to a guy worth fighting for. His reasons behind his all work and no play attitude were what made him seem more real and relatable. He basically just existed instead of lived his life and I loved watching him rediscover himself while on the road trip with Brooke. Sometimes Declan seemed bewildered by the things he was learning about himself and other times it was like he was remembering bits and pieces of who he used to be. He broke my heart sometimes and other times I wanted to shake him to see if he did anything other than grumble and work.

Describe the heroine in five words: Assertive. Funny. Sneaky. Optimistic. Hungry.

Did you like her? YES!

Why? She’s almost always optimistic and while she’s in love with Declan she doesn’t put up with his crap (And he can certainly dish it out when he’s cranky). Brooke was this cheerful character who did see the good in things and in people but wasn’t blinded to reality. She had a terrible childhood that she escaped from yet she still maintained hope that there was something better for her. She was sweet without giving me a toothache, and she was darn good at her job which made her invaluable to Declan long before he noticed her as a woman. I loved that she maintained her intelligence and business savvy rather than tripping over herself when it came to Declan. She was so much fun, definitely a character I’d love to be friends with. And guess what? She’s not a “just a salad” woman, much less a food pusher (You know, those women who order food and suddenly decide they’re too nervous/upset to eat and just push their food around on their plate. I hate that). It might sound weird but Brooke has this outlook on how she orders food that is totally the same as mine and that really sealed the deal on her awesomeness to me. Brooke just made people comfortable around her and did I mention she had this adorable little dog named Moochie?

Let’s talk about the romance: Declan and Brooke had a very strong working relationship when Perfect for You started but it was also layered with this bubbling attraction between them which had time to build and grow throughout the book. The push and pull between them made the happy ending worth the wait and I couldn’t get enough of Declan and Brooke’s fun, flirty interactions. Brooke brought out the fun side in Declan (Which he needed desperately), and a fun Declan was a sexy Declan. These two had such great chemistry and not just romantically. They just clicked so well and definitely had that “Team” vibe going strong.

How about that supporting cast? Declan’s brothers and sister appeared off and on throughout Perfect for You and I couldn’t help noticing how different they were to Declan. They were relaxed, confident, fun, and basically everything Declan kept locked up tight. I loved all of them and the way they teased and poked at each other and even Brooke. They did bring out another side of Declan since they were his family but they also made the effort to get me as a reader interested in them.

Overall reaction to the story? Perfect for You is the first book by Candis Terry that I’ve read but it definitely won’t be the last. Terry shows a real talent for creating a heartwarming story with grounded characters you can’t help but fall for. She definitely made my day with Declan and Brooke and that guarantees I’ll be back for more very soon.

Click It or Skip It? Click It. Especially if you’re new to Candis Terry like I was. This was a perfect way to be introduced to her writing. Totally worth it.

Like halfway into the first scene - not the first chapter, the first scene - I've already got too good of an idea where this is headed. I know it was on my "waiting game" list, which means I read the blurb way back when I added it, but when I grabbed the book today I didn't read the blurb again - I just knew it was on my waiting list. So I get it, I start reading, and I don't even need to reread the blurb - I know exactly what's gonna happen. And that's a bummer.

The H just had a bout of verbal diarrhea right off the bat. "I'm mega stuffy and focused on work because I'm dyslexic and I struggled so hard to become insanely successful, but now I'm thinking I should be focused on fun and enjoying life. And here comes my assistant who I've just recently realized is sooo hot and sexy and bubbly and fun and she has a bracelet that says "fearless". I can't even focus on this important meeting because she crossed her legs and I want to lick her dimple and oh my, this is so out of character for me but I just can't stop looking at her tits and what, the meeting started? Now she's teasing me with her sexy smile!"

WHAT.

Stop.

Shhhh.

I don't need to read another word. This chick is going to get him to let loose, have fun, live life to the fullest kinda Ferris Bueller shit and they'll realize they want each other and bone like mad, but one or both of them will insist that it's just sex, but oh no they both fall in love with each other but it'll never work but then somehow it does because their obstacles were nothing more than mental insecurity bullshit and happy ever after! The End.

Feel free to read it and then comment about whether or not I'm wrong. I'm not real interested in finding out on my own by reading this whole damn book. You can do it if you want.

Great story for the second in a trilogy. I love a good romance novel that involves a strong family dynamic for at least one of the characters. It provides a sense of realism into the whole enchilada. Declan and Brooke had such a sweet story of boss/assistant that turned into something more I truly enjoyed every page. The conflict didn't feel fake or forced and it all ended nicely with a curiosity of what shall happen next. On to book 3!

PERFECT FOR YOU is the perfect addition to the Sunshine Creek Vineyard series. I loved the story of Declan and Brooke from cover to cover.

Declan is a workaholic and he depends on Brooke to keep his office running well. Lately, he is seeing her as more than an assistant, but he's not willing to do more than keep his successful business going and growing. When he needs to help his family business after the death of their parents, Brooke talks him into letting her accompany him back home. She even talks him into driving back instead of flying so that he can think and unwind a little.
Brooke is the heart of the story. She is funny, strong, and smart and she knows what she wants. She gets the reluctant Declan to cut loose and enjoy life more, and they have a chemistry that even he can't deny. She helps him reconnect with his family and becomes just what he needs in his life. Unfortunately, being male and a sometimes blockhead, he nearly loses what he just found. Brooke stands strong enough to follow her own dreams if he isn't smart enough to grab onto a chance of forever.
I loved this breezy paced story. It was filled with laughs, romance and heart. Ms. Terry does a wonderful job bringing together two people that need each other and PERFECT FOR YOU doesn't disappoint. I loved seeing the changes in the lonely Declan, brought back to life and family by such a strong and sassy heroine as Brooke. What a fun ride!

Candis Terry is a genius! Jordan and Lucy's story was so good but left us with some questions about the family business. In Declan and Brooke's story we get a bit more info but there's still more to come...oh and there's this amazing boss/employee relationship that hits all the buttons without ever once feeling like it's overdone or shading toward bad office behavior. I loved Brooke's spirit and approach to life, her back story is amazing! And Dec is another yummy Candis hero. Can't wait for the next Sunshine Creek book.

Perfect For You is an incredible story about Brooke and Declan.

Brooke is a bold girl, adventure seeking, and still seeking herself. She is a truly unique heroine, tough and ready for anything. She just wants to be happy and make others happy.

Declan is a tough nut to crack. He lives his life the easy way. Mostly just for him. He's quiet, reserved, and very focused on business.

Perfect For You was an easy going tale with some suspenseful moments. The secondary storyline to Brooke and Declan's journey is enticing and I'm very much looking forward to reading more about the Kincade family.

This book is a standalone within a series, I read it without reading the previous book, and enjoyed it very much.

Fun and flirty, entertaining and heartwarming. That’s what author Candis Terry excels at and is exactly what we got with Perfect for You. Filled with the small town charm I crave in her stories, this also had a thread of family drama that was every bit as intriguing as the romance turned out to be.

‘The more time he spent with her, the harder a time he had remembering the whole boss/employee thing. Every little tick of the clock he spent in her presence was rife with the temptation of hauling her against him and kissing her sweet lips.’

I really do have such fun with Candis Terry’s books. They’re lighthearted for the most part but there is always just enough emotional depth to keep me engaged and wanting to figure each character out. And I have to say that she creates some of the coolest, sigh-worthy alpha males and sassiest heroines in contemporary romance, which this newest series is chock full of so far. Thanks to those fiery match-ups, I of course get a kick out of the bantering she writes, and boy did Declan and Brooke have some comical–and some very sexy–interactions. It definitely had me giggling and kept things moving along quickly.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I enjoyed this book, but I felt that both Declan and Brooke spent too much time in their own heads than actually communicating with each other until the last few chapters of the book.

Declan has hidden his learning disability for years, and believes that people knowing about it will cause them to treat him differently, as less. His fears of being different actually isolate him more than his disability and does so even with his family. Brooke's insecurities are more tangible and keeping her secrets make more sense.

Declan's fear of losing her to one of his brothers is the main reason he capitulates to the desire he feels for Brooke.

The secondary plotline is just that, secondary. I realize that this is part of the world building, but a little more information from Aunt Pippy would have done wonders.

A perfect contemporary romance to read, when you just want to escape everything and have fun. I loved all the humor mingled into this book, it kept the mood light even with dealing with some serious issues. Brooke is the prefect woman to break Declan out of his routine, once he finally realizes that the woman for him has been there all along -- as his assistant. A sweet, passionate romance that starts out with a road trip, and leads to a wonderful happily ever after. I can't wait to read the rest of this series, the Kincade family is going to keep us on our toes.

Really great contemporary romance. This author has been on my radar for quite some time and I'm glad that I was able to finally check out one of her books.

Overall, this book was a quick and easy read for me. It was well written and entertaining. For the most part, this book was light on the drama and just an overall sweet read, with a touch of forbidden romance to it. This is the perfect book to spend an afternoon just getting lost within the pages.

I thought this book was cute. I adored the heroine and liked the hero (for the most part). The hero's family was amazing as well. I just had a hard time getting motivated to keep reading though I can't pinpoint anything wrong with the book itself.

This book hit me at just the right time. Last week I was bogged down in the nitty-gritty. Work, home, reviewing it just seemed like so much stuff all.the.time. Then Perfect for You came along. I had read the first book this Sunshine Creek series, A Better Man, last summer and even though I remembered liking the book, I couldn’t for the life of me remember the hero and heroine or their story. So I put off Perfect for You. Well, wouldn’t you know it, as soon as release day for the book hit I was struck with this undeniable need to read the book. Something about the cover screamed, “this is the break you need” and what do you know, it was the break I needed.

Perfect for You is a little ray of sunshine in this dark winter. Brooke has been Declan’s Executive Assistant for the past four years and even though she loves him, he has restrained their relationship to the “strictly business” category. However, when Declan’s family needs him back at home, Brooke jumps at the chance to show Declan that there is more to life than business. Declan doesn’t take to Brooke’s fun, fearless and lighthearted ways right away, but somewhere along the way, he finds himself falling for her.

As this book progressed I found myself falling a little bit in love with Brooke right along side with Declan. Brooke is a heroine that I truly admire. Her fighting spirit, ability to focus on being fearless and can-do attitude inspired me to take a hard look at my life, priorities and centering around the “good stuff”. I made some minor tweaks last week inspired by Brooke and I can’t thank Candis Terry enough for her ability to write heroines that are relatable and inspiring without seeming preachy.

The romance in Perfect for You is a bit of a roller coaster ride. Brooke and Declan’s relationship is complicated since they work together. Declan seemingly thinks Brooke will just work for him forever, but Brooke has a bucket list of goals to get through and working for Declan isn’t in the long-term plan. I especially liked that even though Declan was Brooke’s boss, there wasn’t a strong boss/employee dynamic here no matter how many times Dec brought up the issue. It was almost like Brooke had the power over Declan emotionally and in a slight (very slight) way that reverse power dynamic reminded me of several BDSM novels where it’s mentioned that the sub has all the power. Brooke has to harness her power to make Declan see that they are perfect for one another and bring Declan to his knees. In a strange way, Perfect for You is just like a BDSM erotic romance.

I also really enjoyed that Terry explored Declan and Brooke’s “flaws” in this book, but that the flaws weren’t the only factor in the dark moment of this book. In many contemporary romances, it seems like the hero’s flaws are the only reason he breaks up with the heroine near the end of the book (i.g. “I am a man-whore and you deserve better”). Candis Terry handled the dark moment and Brooke/Declan’s flaws perfectly, though. Declan’s learning disability did set his life and work down a certain path, but his big flaw wasn’t the only bump on their way to happiness. It was a factor, sure, but not the only thing. Big thumbs up to Candis Terry for exploring layers upon layers in a romantic relationship as complicated boss/assistant turned boyfriend/girlfriend.

From start to finish I couldn’t get enough of this book. I know I won’t forget Brooke, Declan or Perfect for You anytime soon. If you are looking for a romance to make your week better and brighter look no further than Ms. Terry’s newest release. 5 stars for Perfect for You!

Early on in life Declan Kincade learned that he had dyslexia, but he made the decision to not let it defeat him, or keep him from achieving the things he wanted in his life. So, he buckled down and worked hard, and now he is a successful business man and owner of a flourishing Wealth Management company. But somewhere along the way, while he was working on his dream, he forgot to take time to live in the present. He was so focused on finding success that he forgot to make time to enjoy his life, and the people around him... well almost everyone, the one bright spot in his busy chaotic world is his assistant Brooke. Working alongside her is the one joy in his life, she keeps him grounded and organized, and has been a big contributor to his businesses success. He's also recently realized that there are some intense sparks floating around them too, but mixing business with pleasure is a huge 'no-no' in his world. But is it wrong that he'd still love nothing more than to see where those sparks will take them?

Brooke Hastings wants her happily ever after, the house, the kids, the whole works, problem is she wants it with a man that doesn't even know she exists. Well he knows she exists, but only as his assistant, he depends on her to keep his business running smoothly, but she'd love nothing more than to help him keep his personal life running smoothly too. No matter how many smiles she throws his way, or vibes she sends out in his direction, he doesn't seem to notice. And while she understands the risks of getting involved in the workplace, she also knows that you can't ignore love, when you find it you have to grab it with both hands and hold on tight... no matter if he is your boss or not!

Anytime I'm in the mood for a fun and lighthearted read I always reach for a book by Ms. Terry... her stories always leave me with a happy heart, and never disappoint! I really enjoyed this book, it had me laughing, blushing, swooning, and smiling the whole way through! The moment Brooke and Declan appeared on the page I was completely taken with them, and instantly knew they were going to take me on a blissful little literary escape... and I am happy to report that they did!!! Loved every minute I spent with these two!!

If you are looking for heartwarming read rich with emotion, toe curling romance, and a little humor sprinkled in here and there, then I suggest you make a visit Sunshine Creek Vineyard, I promise you will be happy with what you find!!

What a sweet, sexy, and lovely small town romance! This book up to my expectations I just couldn’t keep it down. I was reading it everywhere.

Brooke and Declan are what you would expect to have as a typical boss/employee relationship. However, what I love about both of them is that they are independent people who have flaws and have been through so much. First on Brooke. Brooke has some dark secrets and she wants a life for her own. However, her determination is amazing. Plus, she is just a heart of gold. She does not push Declan, but she also isn’t a pushover. Brooke is just amazing. She is one of my favorite contemporary romance heroines out there. Her internal strength, determination, and intelligence really make her hold a candle to many of my favorite heroines.

Declan is just such a sweet heart. However, I feel that he is just clueless at times. He is such a workaholic and has some serious issues to resolve. I felt that in the beginning he was totally clueless about his feeling to Brooke and it was adorable that he didn’t know what to do. But after sometime this got annoying. I was like “Dude, you know that you care for, so act on it!” Sometimes I wanted to give him a noogie on his head and make him see through his stubborn thickheadedness. But, Declan still won me over. His swoony actions and seeing him grow in the book was amazing. He really is stoic and a proper workaholic. The guy doesn’t have a single ounce of fun in his bones. Nonetheless, real, sweet Declan is one that is swoon worthy.

What I love about the relationship between Brooke and Declan is that it is slow. They don’t get physical until they start realizing their feelings for each other. Boy, their chemistry is hot. There are some steamy scenes which are scroching, but enjoyable.

The only tiny issue I have is that there are some twists in this book that are unsolved. It’s like when the big reveal happened I was like “now what?”

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It met my expectations and I highly recommend it.

<<<<< My Synopsis (Actual Review Follows): <<<<<
Brooke Hastings has been Declan Kincade's administrative assistant for four years. During that time she's developed a massive crush on the handsome man, and has been trying to get him to look her way. Declan, however, is a work obsessed stick-in-the-mud that Brooke feels needs to be shaken up a little. Armed with her 'fearless' bracelet, she decides to create a situation that forces the two of them to take a long business trip by car. With the two of them in such close quarters for so long he's bound to take notice, right? If not she's got several other tricks up her sleeve. Declan doesn't stand a chance.

<<<<< My Review: <<<<<
This was a very cute story, but I didn't warm up to Brooke for quite some time. Almost from the get-go Brooke manipulates things in a manner that put me on guard. We go in knowing hardly anything about her and it took me awhile to feel her intentions were noble, or at least as noble as they can be when you're attempting to seduce your boss. All the while she's tempting and testing the waters with Declan to see if the two would be a good match. One of the items on her bucket list is to marry the man of her dreams. She thinks he may be the one.

Declan was sort of clueless and a little miffed by Brooke's behavior. He was afraid to make a move, but desperately wanted to. He believes himself not to be relationship material and feels that starting something with Brooke can only lead to disaster. She'll have to prove him wrong and that won't be easy.

Overall I gave this one 3 1/2 out of 5 roses. I found Brooke's shenanigans amusing and Declan's attempt to do the right thing charming. There are some twists and turns which shook thinks up a bit and made things interesting. On the Lisarenee Romance Rating Scale this one gets a FAN rating--the temperature in the room seems to have suddenly gone up a couple of degrees and a fan would be nice.

“Perfect for You” is the second book in the Sunshine Creek Vineyard series by Candis Terry. These books center on the Kincaide family…. 5 alpha, hot and too sexy for their own good brothers and their younger sister Nicole. The star of this book is Declan… a successful hard-working business man who does not know how to have fun.

His trusty assistant, Brooke, convinces him to take a road trip and sets out on “Operation Shake, Rattle and Roll” in an attempt to break down his stuffy business-like demeanor. But has she bitten off more than she can chew? She shares items on her bucket list with him but every time she thinks she is making headway, he clams up and it is back to business as usual.

Declan has harbored secret feelings for Brooke for 4 years but he is afraid to act on his feelings for fear of losing her as his valuable assistant. Brooke works hard at her job and she, too, has kept her romantic feelings for him a secret
.
Watching Declan’s stiff demeanor develop cracks was the best part of the story. Brooke knows she has made a dent in his armor when he tells her “teach me how to dance in the rain…how to separate life from work…how to be the man you want and need me to be.”

A secret that is hinted at in the first book “A Better Man” plays an important role in this book as well. You may want to read that book first just to get a better feeling for the back story…although this book can be read as a stand -alone. The playful banter among the brothers, as well as their eccentric Aunt Pippy, adds a comic element to the story. I would recommend this book without hesitation and look forward to the next one in the series.

Disclaimer: I voluntarily accepted an ARC of this book and have offered my honest opinion of the book.

Brooke Hastings wants her boss Declan Kincade in the best of ways, but it seems he'd rather keep their relationship strictly business. However, when he finds himself needing to return home to help his brothers, Brooke decides to invite herself along, if only to shake up her driven, predictable boss's life. But what starts off as a simple road trip turns into so much more. Can Brooke show Declan what he's missing, or will she walk away from the one man that's perfect for her?

What a wonderfully written, fast-paced, captivating read Ms. Terry has penned in this story, encompassing the forbidden relationship trope, well-written dialogue, a heroine that isn't afraid to go after what she wants and a hero that needs to decide what he wants before he loses the woman he's come to immensely care for. The way this story started introduced me -- as a reader -- to the hero superbly. He's a workaholic that faced a tough challenge growing up, and which made him feel like the odd man out when it came to his brothers, but he's more than proven how he's risen above it all by being so successful.

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, the twist concerning Declan's family and the growing relationship between this couple. In the beginning, I was a little put off by how forward the heroine was in her pursuit of the hero to get him to loosen up and see her as more than his employee. Yet, the further into this story I got, I really started to enjoy her point-of-view. Her back story is a pretty emotional one, and it was no wonder she went to great lengths to escape her situation after what happened to her sister and it's understandable why she wears a bracelet with the word Fearless on it.

Both the main characters were highly entertaining because of their growing relationship and the way they interacted with the secondary characters. Declan has always felt apart from his family due to his learning disability, and I liked how determined he was to be close with his family again. The way they tease each other had me laughing, especially with a certain brother's antics in trying to make Declan jealous enough, so he'd realize how silly he was being by not pursuing something with the heroine when it was palpable how much he liked her.

Furthermore, I liked how Brooke managed to get him to have some fun. She can be quite persuasive, and I enjoyed that she didn't give up on Declan, until the moment when it seemed impossible for her to get him to see that they're perfect for each other. Why did he keep walking away at the moments when everything between them felt so right? While Brooke, she's been through so much in her life and I could understand why she would want to live life to the fullest. The way she goes after what she wants and her determination to conquer the bucket list she's had for years made her admirable. Also, she's kind, caring and I liked how she was willing to help Declan's family with her ideas for the Vineyard.

Overall, Ms. Terry has penned a delightful read in this book, which had the perfect blend of intense, emotional and teasing dialogue between the hero and heroine, as well as between the main and secondary characters. The growing relationship between Declan and Brooke had me hooked, because he needs her just as much as she needs him. Because although Brooke had a good family in her foster family, she still wants a family of her own. Is Declan the right man to fulfill her number one item on her bucket list? But what I liked most was the ending, although I could sympathize with the entire Kincade family because of a huge family secret. However, in saying that, I liked how Declan made things right between him and Brooke. Certainly, he was determined to make sure she crossed some items of her bucket list. I would recommend Perfect for You by Candis Terry, if you enjoy the forbidden relationship trope or books by authors Erin Nicholas, Samantha Chase, Melanie Shawn or Jennifer Bernard.

This was a fun read and I would recommend it if you’re looking for something light and easy, but there were a few issues as well that brought it down to a 3 star rating.

Overall I really liked Brooke and Declan - they were good characters, and the boss/assistant trope is one of my faves. Unfortunately, this went off the rails a bit.

Brooke has been strictly professional and efficient for four years, then one trip up to Declan’s family vineyard and she’s dressing differently, pushing him to have “fun” and acting completely different than her norm. It really just didn’t make sense. I also didn’t like the drama with his brothers towards the end - it was really immature and not the way I’d want to convince someone to take a chance on me.

Declan was a workaholic who wanted Brooke but didn’t want to lose her professional skills as his assistant. This actually irked me a lot - he was willing to give up a life partner who loves him so that she could continue to help his company? Wow, talk about messed up priorities. He was likeable overall though, so I’m not completely discounting him.

The chemistry was good but not great. The story was the same. This was good...just not great.
