For the Female of the Species is far more deadly than the male." Rudyard Kipling, said of female lions.
After returning from a mission to salvage a time capsule, Quinn and the Space Marines face imprisonment at the hands of a rogue faction of the resistance, and Samantha is taken during her attempts to use her otherworldly abilities to save them.
It’s a race against time as Quinn struggles to find a way out of the silo and run a gauntlet through the badlands of Wyoming, where she confronts bands of armed scavengers and resistance fighters who will do anything to stop her from saving her daughter.
Will mother and daughter pull through and escape to bring the war to the Syndicate, or will internal conflict signal the end of the fight to save humanity?

Oh, and he acted in movies for a bit - all small roles though.
So much action in this 4th book. You have Quinn who is bound and determine to save her daughter and kill Xan who has caused nothing but trouble. You have Sam Quinn's daughter who is learning more about her abilities. Can Quinn save her daughter? Can the Marines escape the resistance that are keeping them prisoners? Can they beat the Syndicate? Will they be able to get to the time machine and change everything? Wow, so much going on in this story. The only thing different was the Epilogue it left you hanging on the Marines, but it did introduce a start of a new resistance. So I guess I will have to wait for book 5 to find out more on everything. I received a arc copy for my honest review.
I read this series of books, I was so wrapped up in them I stayed awake reading, book one great, book two great, book three still great had me so involved I got book four and the ending left me hanging, I couldn't even understand it, what a let down. I was so high on reading the first three that book 4 ending or non ending was sooooooo bad. I wasn't looking for a happy ending just an ending that wrapped up all the loose ends and this story had lots of loose ends, I am bummed out
As hope rises for the resistance , internal strifes threaten the fight and maybe their only hope to affect the outcome of this war. The female characters kick ass in this series and it's great to see that it's more from sheer determination than being overpowered or using force of arms which makes this a great read. Not sure what to imagine for book 5 as this has some unexpected outcomes but I'm here to stay
The series is still holding my attention. I am curious as to whether the threat from beyond will be a satisfying pay off, hoping so and not just time travel shenanigans!
