Long, but worth it

I really enjoyed this trilogy. (Not a fan of trilogies as I usually get bored) but this one kept my interest through to the end. I loved Avery and Nick. Nick had some huge obstacles to overcome and Avery needed to get Nick there. It was all worth it in the end.

Best of the trilogy!

Although The 100 Series books one and two were excellent, this last one was the best! I have read many of Ms. Adrian's books, the Brotherhood series, the historical novels and many of her single titles too but the 100 series with Dominic and his dominant sexy personality really catch your attention in a magnetic sort of way. I also enjoy Avery and the strong character she personifies. I love to read about strong willed grateful females because I believe behind every good man there's got to be an even better woman. It's not a match made in heaven if the characters don't compliment themselves in every way ...life's truth! The books touch so many topics, it's amazing how Ms. Adrian exposes so many emotional issues throughout the series. Death, murder, child abuse, a mother's sacrifice. Determination, commitment, success and fame are also discussed and dealt with, even media frenzy... She is an artist at bringing out the inner self within you as you read her writing...Read this series. It's enthralling!

Emotional romantic roller coaster ride

This box set is an emotionally intense and romantic book series. Avery and Nick are two broken people who together heal each other and love deeply. This box set tells their emotional love story. Both have been broken by people that should have loved and protected them and both have the strength to move on and find the one love that understands! Sometimes frustrating but worth the read! Free with k.u.! 3.5 stars

Great Series

Great stories with good characters, even the secondary characters. My only complaint (and I have this in any book) when the h has a secret she's afraid to tell for fear the H will leave her...and the story goes on and on and on about it. In this case, turns out the H knew before he actually even met her and used it to manipulate her into a situation where they could finally meet. When she finds out, she leaves him. See...that's how it should be, tell or let it come out and leave then work it out and move on with the story or don't leave and move on. Just don't give me pages and pages of "I'm afraid to tell cause he'll leave me!".

Fortunately, she eventually realizes that he knew and had manipulated her situation so they would meet, so SHE leaves him.. Now...does that sound like the actions of a girl who was madly in love and so worried about him leaving her? But at least we could then move on with the story and start tge process of them getting back together. And I'm making it sound like this was a bad story, but really it isn't. It was actually very good (it's just that this is one of my pet peeves when a character has a secret they're afraid to tell but the longer they wait the worse it will be and the author drags it out and just goes on and on about it.)

I really did like this story and may well read it again sometime in the future!

not what I hoped for.

This was like watching an old B movie, that really wasn’t all that good. I don’t know what everyone else read, but I couldn’t even muster a tear. Just couldn’t connect to this endless drama and repetitive drivel. Maybe 2.4 stars. Maybe.

For 100 Days:

I really liked this one. I think it's my 1st contemporary of reading Laura's work. Im glad the storyline into Averys past is a bit different. I listened to this on audio and summer Morton did an excellent job. I'm already looking forward to the next book bc the suspense is getting good.

For 100 Nights:

Avery and Nick explore more of their relationship. After we thought one problem was solved another secret was revealed. I will admit, I predicted what it was, but I'm still eager to read the last book.

For 100 Reasons:

Sometimes when I read about a separation thats for 1 year, I have a hard time grasping it. Not that it deterred me from reading the book, I just felt the attraction between Avery and Nick from book 1 that I think maybe 6 months would have made more sense. Anyways, we get more info on Nick's past and its not what I was expecting at all, such a shocker! This series brings the heat and tension. It was really good.

Really 1 book told in 3 separate parts instead of 3 separate books, I chose to read the combined anthology version to get it all at once. I hated it. Let me back that up a bit.... I think Lara Adrian is good writer having enjoyed some of her previous works. Unfortunately, I hated the plot and characters, specifically the choices the characters made causing the plot twists. It's pretty well written, but that didn't stop me from hating it. Any specific criticism is a spoiler, so I'll just leave this here.

Wow! Very nice to have all 3 parts in one purchase - highly recommend

Adults only (18+ years old). This is a very emotional story between two people that have skeletons in their closets, so there are lots of elements that may be a trigger or offensive to some.

It has adult language throughout, steamy detailed intimate scenes, child abuse (physical, mental, sexual), and violence (rape, assault, blackmail, etc.). So please be advised that this may not be the book or series for you.

I am so glad that Lara Adrian has started writing in a new genre. I have been a fan of her paranormal stories for years, but she is so talented that it is good to know that there are options for when I am in the mood for a contemporary story.

In this trilogy we are introduced to an artist, Avery, and a billionaire, Dominick. Things are not what it would seem for either of them. Both have things that they hide from each other and the world, but their attraction to each other is off the charts. This story is long with all three parts, but it does a great job of introducing characters and building a story universe for future additions (yeah!!).

If not purchased together, there would be two small cliffhangers between the 1st and 2nd, and then subsequently 2nd and 3rd. Fortunately this book contains all three so it is not an issue. To make sure I limit any potential spoilers, I am only going to add a little bit on how the 1st part of the story begins.

Avery lives in New York in a small 1 bedroom apartment that she either has to come up with the money to purchase or move as they are being converted to condos. She only has two weeks and she knows that she doesn’t have the money to buy. She has a few pieces of her art with a gallery, but only one piece has sold in the last year, so she won’t be able to get the money that way.

Now she has been informed that they are going to remove her stuff from the showroom, which she may have expected but it is still a blow. What is she going to do? Then her boss at the upscale restaurant where she is a bartender is always on her butt for no reason. She has never missed a single day, she has taken on extra shifts when needed, etc. but it is always the same.

Then it seems her luck changes somewhat, when one night a well dressed lady is sitting and waiting on a friend to arrive, but she receives a message instead. Avery and her talk some and she is upset that her friend is not going to be able to housesit for her over the next 4 months while she is filming in Japan. Is this a gift? Avery’s friend who is also on shift thinks so and encourages Avery to help her out since she needs a place while her is being “remodeled”.

Is this the break Avery needs? It seems so, especially when Avery and her friend visit the building to check it out and it is one of the top addresses in the city. Wow! Plus she got paid on top of it?! Then as they are getting in the elevator to go up to the 5th floor, there is a very handsome male getting out. Avery feels a powerful connection to him, but he just stares and locks eyes with Avery, so she is not sure if he felt it too ... after he leaves her friend warns Avery to watch out for that one, as he was so arrogant ... mm’mm but he sure looked good doing it.

I don’t want to accidentally provide any spoilers, so I am going to stop there.

I think I’d give the trilogy 4.5 stars out of 5

Book 1: For 100 Days.
This book introduces us to Avery and Dominic “Nick”.
All from Avery’s POV, this book tells us of their introduction to one another and the draw they feel towards each other. They quickly become overwhelmed by their own connection but Avery is withholding a lot of secrets and then a ghost from her past resurfaces.
Book 2: For 100 Nights.
Avery’s past and the secrets that’s she’s been keeping from Nick are catching up to her. Again, solely from her POV, we navigate how she deals with her past, how Nick factors into that and how/if they can forge a future together. They might but then the author throws Nicks secrets into it and a future seems even less likely.
Book 3: For 100 Reasons.
The conclusion to the trilogy is told from Nick and Avery’s dual POV, and navigates them through Nicks dark past and his secrets. Can they now survive a second wave of lies and mistrust?

This is my first Lara Adrian book. As a whole, it evoked a lot of emotion from me, which is the sign of an amazing book. As three separate books, the third is by far my favourite because, as much as I enjoy a hot, dirty, regular amount of steam in the books I read, I did feel myself rolling my eyes through the first two books at how absolutely anything and everything can end up with sex, lol!!! I suppose it was just making a point at how massively drawn they both were to each other.
The first two books were basically based on both of their lies and secrets and that really isn’t my favourite premise of a book so I did will myself to get to the end as quickly as possible. The third book had a bit more meat to the story. I love Avery’s best friend Tasha and the other secondary characters are all great too.
I would recommend these books but I don’t think I’d read them again.

Ok,so,admittedly,I never read the "50 Shades of Gray" series, despite my unabashed affinity for erotic literature. But it seems that, ever since its release, there has been a myriad of erotic fiction where the male love interest is frequently a powerful billionare, just like Christian Gray in the "50 Shades" series. Appearing too predictable for my taste & I honestly never had much interest in reading a story series with a billionaire as one of the main characters, but after I read the description of this particular series, something inside me said 'take a chance' and boy,am I glad I did! Sure, there's (obviously!) tons of sizzling hot sex,but the story, itself was really good & I really liked that BOTH characters had realistic flaws(not just the guy) & weren't "picture perfect" from the get-go.The situations they have to face, force them to really take an honest look at each other & face the "elephants in their rooms",so to speak. But will it prove to be too much for their relationship to last?
I'm not going to give away any more of the storyline, but if you're looking for some good erotic fiction, summer reading or otherwise,I'd recommend this series.

Emotional rollercoaster!

I really enjoyed this 1st part of the 100 series. Nicks character just pulls you in, and won't let go. Yes, he is abrasive, and harshest times, but then he he does something so heartfelt and kind, and it leaves you cheering him on. My only issue with the storyline was Avery. In the first book, she's likeable, and you understand her reservations on disclosing personal aspects of her life, and why she's ok with ("letting Nick believe"), she's someone she's not. But in book 2-3, she comes off sooooo hypocritical, self absorbed, ungrateful, and likes to play the role of victim. Sure she admits that she's lied and has keptsthings from Nick, crucial things mind you, but she keeps harping on how he want let her close, or talk about his past. And this is sooo different from her actions how?? Yes, they both have wronged each other, but it's all about her. Overall this is a good read, an emotional rollercoaster with great "adult" scenes, I recommend.

Great Series

For 100 Days. Nick and Avery are a great couple. The book does take a long time to get to the “resolution” of this part of the serial, but the build up was good. Having already read the two standalone 100 Series novels I have an idea how Avery and Nicks story ends, but I can’t wait to read their journey

For 100 Nights All I can say is —WOW! Part two of this three part serial has left my mouth agape. Nick and Avery are in the midst the 100 nights he requested at the end of the first installment. Secrets and more secrets fill this book. As soon as you unravel one another one appears, until the very end. I anticipate the last and final installment to be earth shattering.

For 100 Reasons This was a wonder ending to this serial trilogy. The resolution of most of Avery and Nick’s issues was developed expertly from beginning to end. There were a few plot twist that I did not expect and they made the story even better. Great series.

Exhilarating........Loved it

This is a review of the whole series combined

Nick and Avery were great together most of the time, it took me a while to warm to Avery especially after the 1st book I thought she was a little bit of a hypocrite because of the ending in the 2nd book as though she was an angel and did nothing wrong, I didn't see any issue with how Nick went to extreme to meet her, he was pretty obsessed with her and I totally understood where he was coming from and for her to do and say the things she did, well when I got to the 3rd book I understood her thoughts a little better although she was harsh at times towards Nick eventually they got it and the ending was definitely emotional with Nicks upbringing, also I liked that we got Nicks POV in the 3rd book as well. I liked the other characters in the book and the story flowed really well with lots of emotions .... thank you Lara 😊
I definitely recommend reading this book 📖 👌

I've enjoyed other Lara Adrian series, but sadly this wasn't my type of story/style.

I'm sure there are some who would absolutely adore this series, as it is 80% sex scene after sex scene. Alas, I need more meat to a story to captivate me, and I don't mean anatomically speaking.

The sex scenes seemed repetitive and the plot line reminded me so much of 50 shades, that I was bored. Too many authors are following this same plot line, lately.
I don't mind reading about light dominance (and this was super light) but authors need to know it's ok to write it without childhood abuse as the driving back story... it feels like the same story over and over.

I finished all 3 books in a day and a half. So, if you're looking for a quick read, it does the trick.

I adore Lara Adrian, so I'll continue on with other series of hers.

Why??

Lara, I love your writing and I've been reading your books for years now. This has to be one of my favorite trophies that you've ever written and I was thrilled to hear that there will be some strange alone books using some off these characters! My whole reason for why.......I don't understand your use of the Lord's names in your books. Is there something wrong with an "On damn", "Oh shit", or even the word "Crap"? I think that whether a Christian believer or not that a little of that goes a long way. Even Christian women like to read romance and frankly I found this more than just a bit off putting and more than a bit upsetting. More than once I considered not finishing your books.

I loved it and was seriously addicted. I read all 3 books within a week, the 3rd book in one day.
The storyline was very easy to follow and I could feel the chemistry between Avery and Nick right from the start. The romance they shared was very sexy and hot but romantic at the same time (in my opinion of course). The twist within the story toward the end of book 2 took me slightly by surprise but everything was explained as to why he did what he did and made complete sense.
I can’t say anything negative about this series and I’m looking forward to beginning the 4th book/standalone tonight “Run to you”.

There is a lot in these stories. Its erotica and its easy to get caught up in that.

But its also a love story. A story about trust - how it needs to work both ways. its about power and understanding that power is better shared and traded in a relationship, rather than dominated.

I was captivated by the understory of this relationship. It was teased through three books and I was rooting for Avery and Nick to figure themselves and each other out.

Its a great read. it does touch on some sensitive topics such as rape, murder and death of family. Its done well - those topics are mentioned, not described, not detailed.

I liked it very much.

Brilliant

Wow this trilogy is a absolute must read the storyline is excellent the characters charismatic and the bedroom action red scorching hot. Dominic Blaine a dominant Alpha billionaire who always gets what he wants and Avery Ross a single minded struggling artist is who he wants. He makes it his mission to get her. These two both have very troubled pasts and each have their own nightmares but find it difficult to open up. Their are some difficult issues that are opened up and it all adds to the drama between these two. This is excellent work by this author and I fully intend to read more of her books.

absolutely a page turner

I was so glad to find this series. I haven’t read books by Lara Adrian before but she did not disappoint with this series. Nick and Avery started off both having secrets from their past. They connected in many ways but when Avery found out about Nick’s betrayal they ended up parted for a year until they find each other again.

Avery grew in their time apart and was stronger in her approach to starting again with Nick. I loved how the story covered so many twists and turns and in the end there was a happy ever after. This series will have you wanting to read so make sure you give yourself time to really get into the books.

I have to say, I don't know what I expected as I read the book based on the reviews. But my goodness...I must concur... Lara Adrian does billionaires the best. This series has been so honest, so real life that its hard to believe its just 'a book'. I lived vicariously through each character. At one point I think I actually tasted the beer Tony made, lol. I was so hooked it took me 2 days too read the series ( with breaks in between for a bath and to take care of my family). Man!!!!

Thank you Madame Adrian for allowing to share in your imagination, your passion and your art. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Sensational

The author who wrote these books is sensational. The two characters from the trilogy have you hooked right from the start. I've absolutely loved this trilogy. I got so into the story that it made me cry, and I've never cried when reading a book. Best trilogy I've read in a very long time. I've never read anything by the author before, but I'm most definitely going to read more of the author's books. Absolutely 💯 beautiful, captivating, moving, simply the best I've ever read. I most definitely highly recommend the trilogy. Thank you 😊

Avery is a struggling artist, about to be homeless but seems luck is on her side when she gets a gig apartment sitting in a swanky building. She think it’s luck and after having her paintings removed from the gallery, she needs it more than ever. On her first visit she legit bumps into Nick. There’s weird chemistry that pulls them together and over time she gets to know him or so she thinks.

The reveal at book 2 was supremely surprising

Book 3 is how Avery is trying to get over Nick but having success in the art world

I enjoyed this book

loved the series

Avery has never had anyone on her side for anything. She’s always on her own and being strong. She meets Nick and her world is turned upside down and he wants her fully but she has kept secrets from him and wants to let him in but can’t since she knows it will change the way he sees her. But will it?
In the next book she learns more about herself and Nick. He is still hiding something but isn’t ready to fully let it out. The third book is about everything coming out and he might lose the one thing that he loves most because of not opening up fully.

Another winning series by Lara Adrian. Billionaire Dominic and Avery both have darkness in their past. We slowly learn about their past and how it makes them who they are today. Dominic is very controlling but realizes too late that he needed to be honest when it came to Avery, a mistake he never realized till it was too late. This was an amazing series and one I enjoyed every word of!

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

Outstanding

This trilogy chronicles the love affair of Avery Ross and Nick Baine. Two deeply scarred individuals by events in their early lives. Their chemistry almost sizzles off the page and the emotional quotient runs high. There are lies and manipulations, despair and forgiveness, second chances and love, most of all love. This is outstanding story telling by Lara Adrian and definitely worth the time to read this series.

I really liked the first two books in this series - even though some of the sex scenes got to be too repetitive and too frequent (gasp!) - but by the time the third book came around, I just stopped caring for the two MCs. Not that I didn't like them, but I felt the story was really dragging by this point. Still, a good read - an obvious rip-off of FSOG, with not so much angst and much more forced drama - but it did the job when I needed something like this!
