Book Robert Blackburn Talking to the dead seems like a great idea until they just won't shut up. Janice learned a long time ago that it's not places that get haunted, it's people. The necromancer is ready to end it all until Robert Blackburn, grade A hottie and bad boy rescues her, but he's not doing it to be nice. All he wants from Janice is her help in bringing his vampire girlfriend back to life. But when, during a forced road trip, Janice becomes the target of a villainess' schemes Robert is forced to keep her safe. When things turn hot and heavy between them will Robert admit his feelings? Then again, maybe she is just a tool for his own means, like she has been for everyone else.
Book Dmitri Blackburn Being a single mother of three is hard enough, but add in being a witch in a place where the land is slowly becoming more and more corrupted with tainted magic, and a son who shows the gift for witchcraft too? That's a recipe this kitchen witch knows is going to end badly. When mysterious Blackburn brother Dmitri, son of one of the most powerful practitioners in all of Russia, offers his help how can she say no? What will she do with the unexpected chemistry between them? What about when her magically gifted son goes missing?
Book Kyle Blackburn Terry Miller put a stopper in her love life a long time ago, what else was she supposed to do when she found out that her kisses could kill? It doesn't matter if Kyle Blackburn, nerdy and sweet, says that he's willing to risk it, Terry knows her demon blood better than that. Kyle is a tasty treat and she just can't give in. When the pair of them have to rescue the town, and possibly the world from Elenore, living bride to a god of destructive magic, will Terry find time to come to terms with who she is and what she feels?
DNF --- The first two books were okay but Robert's book was soooo boring. The we get to Dmitri and Honey. Their book wasn't quite as boring but wtf happened to the end? It was so ridiculously confusing and abrupt. There was practically no explanation and a lot of information was left out. It was so bad that by the time I started reading Kyle and Terry's book, I just gave up. Yeah I was at the end but seriously it was just too off the wall.
As others have said, the continuity of the book was messed up. There were a large amount of typos. There were a couple instances when they used the wrong name for the MC. I can usually overlook that stuff but the boring 3rd book and the ultra weird ending of the 4th book with far too little explanation just couldn't be overlooked.
I can count on one hand, with fingers leftover, the number of times I chose to not finish a book. I usually can't, it's a personality quirk. I usually just trudge through, even if I hate it but I couldn't with this book. Sorry.
The series is filled with continuity errors and typos. In a 4 month period a kid went from 16 to 18 years old is just an example. I kept having to go back and forth to try and figure out what was correct and what was an error.
I should have known it wasn't going to be worth my time when the story started out with a witness relocation program individual running from the Russian mafia as the starting theme and then being thrown into a cult sacrifices without warning that there was going to be a change in themes.
Couldn't finish the series. Made it through 1 1/2 books.
This bear shifter romance bundle contains the five book series. 1. Adam Blackburn is a bear shifter and deputy working for his father, the town's sheriff. Brenda is a mundane Russian "princess" in witness protection after testifying against her father, who is missing. 2. Marcus Blackburn is a doctor who broke up with his mundane teenage girlfriend Val on his father's orders. Val is now a Hunter and the US Marshall who placed Brenda in the little resort town. 3. Robert is the rebel of the Blackburn boys and the clan's ambassador. When his vampire bride is fatally "dosed", he finds a necromancer, Janice, to bring her back. 4. Dimitri Blackburn is the mage and bear shifter half brother who moved to the U.S. to be near family after his Russian mother's death. Honey is a neighbor, single mother of three young children and a powerful witch that he has dreamed about since he was a boy. 5. Kyle Blackburn is a very young PhD who still loves his high school girl friend, even though she ended things with him years ago. Terry has demon blood and her biggest fear is that she will hurt Kyle, or worse. Each book has its own couple and HEA, but an overarching storyline featuring a Fury/Lamia hybrid with her sights set on bringing back an ancient god ties the stories together. That's what makes this bundle the best way to go.
This was a great series I have to say I enjoyed every story and the characters in them. I almost did not read the last book because to me demons aren't something to play with. Usually if a book is about them I skip it but this time I wanted to know what was going to happen with Eleanor and the Blackburn crew. I do think she could have been half some other magical creature and it would have been just as good. Glad Charlie reappeared finally and that he got over himself. I would love to read more books about this town.
I loved how Adam stood up to his father for Brenda!!! After all those years Marcus and Valeria deserved to finally be together!!! I enjoyed Robert and Janice's story unfold, I'm so glad they ended up together!!! Honey deserved someone like D'Mitre and vice versa!!! And finally, cousin Kyle gets his highschool 🏫 sweetheart 💜!!!
I really enjoyed how these books 📚 tied in with each other but also I loved 💕 that all the Blackburn's women were all friends!!!
Magical bears and all the creatures of magical realm make this a paranormal romance fantasy worth reading. Well-developed storyline and well-developed characterization makes reading about how these bears find their mates. Adult readers due sexual and violent content.
Your going to love these brothers and their mates. Plus all the witches, necromancer, lamia, magic, bears, hunters, God's, Fae, trolls and so much more. This was such a long enjoyable read. All the Blackburn brothers and cousin were detailed about their lives and how they and their mates got restored once they bonded.
This is a great set of stories for that you have written. I think you put a lot of thought into it these plots and they show. I loved reading the series and I hope others will be able to enjoy this series as I did.
Considering all story lines and characters, these stories kept changing and redirecting to create a unique series of mini short stories. These all connected to produce a well organized fiction romance that kept me excited and determined to complete each one.
But the editing and proofing leaves a lot to be desired. You would really have a best selling set if you took the time to correct all of the errors and make sure you continuity was perfect. Good luck hope you take the time with these they are worth it.
This is a great series! It's very well written, and I love the characters. My only complaint is that I'm not happy with the abrupt ending. There was no epilogue to wrap up after the final battle. Still deserves 5 stars though!
It started out a little confusing but the more I got into the story the more I fell in love with the story. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Magic is everywhere. The sound of wind in the trees. The sound of the ocean as it breaks upon the sand. A child's laughter. The love shares between two beings is magic.
I would give this series more stars if I could. I loved the characters and how they interacted with one another. Also, how the main story line built up in every story.
This book was very well written. It has romance, adventure and drama all rolled into one. Keeps you going to the next book to see what is going to happen next.
Loved all of it fast paced and loved the suspense and the way it all ends. I loved how the characters got their happiness in a world they trying to protect from evil.
