Fandoms: NCIS, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, The Sentinel Relationships: Jim Ellison/Blair Sandburg, Anthony DiNozzo/Jethro Gibbs, Daniel Jackson/Jack O'Neill, Rodney McKay/John Sheppard -------------------------------------------------- Blair, Tony, Daniel and Rodney all meet in high school and become good friends. When their twenty year high school reunion comes around, Tony decides to get them all to attend--with their significant others.
When I read this the first time, I rounded down to 3 stars on Goodreads (I am generally star-stingy here), presumably because the unique, charming premise, past and present, does require heavy suspension of disbelief re. "everybody's gay/bi" and re. certain coincidental timing (as well as jiggering of the timelines, but I don't care about that). After this reread, though, I decided I really need to reward all the smiles and laughs it gives me 🤗 (though, hmm, I should avoid misrepresentation: it's not without one sudden, exciting action scene), and round up. — ETA: And that action scene contains one quick-thinking move that makes me say, "Why didn't they ever do that in canon?!" https://archiveofourown.org/works/877456
As happy as it makes me to see so many beloved fandoms and pairings collide, this doesn't have the weight and detail of LadyRa's "Building the Future" https://archiveofourown.org/works/507585 (NCIS/Smallville). Its fun, though.
