Alexa Stevens doesn’t do commitment. The ex-model turned personal trainer and gym owner lives a jet-set life. With all the exciting adventures to have in this world—especially of the masculine variety—why get tied down?

Keeping it light suits Graham Ryan just fine—especially since mixing business with pleasure is bound to cause complications he doesn’t need.

When her old flame Adam Gadsby arrives in town to win her heart, suddenly Alexa's take on long-term love starts to shift. Graham sees her drifting away and wonders if he doesn’t want more. Adam knows what he wants — if only he can convince Alexa she wants the same.

For Alexa, the question is: how do you know who’s the one? With two men chasing her, can she make the right choice before it’s too late?

While reading a romance novel, you should actually enjoy hanging with the main couple. Even in the midst of whatever conflict they are having -- be it real or imagined, angsty or cute -- you should want to enjoy their presence and enjoy watching the work their way together as they overcome their obstacles.

I did not like hanging with Alexa and Graham. Actually, Graham wasn't so bad at least he makes it clear he wants to pursue Alexa. But Alexa was such a puzzle. Her headspace was irritating. Like, what exactly did she even want? Sometimes even when you are in her head you don't know. It felt like she was pushing Graham away just because the author just didn't want them to get together too soon. And her reasoning lacked maturity at times.

Added to that these two just didn't know how to communicate with each other. They never talked, just made assumptions that then translated into stupid actions.

Also there were too many exes and other external people inserted as obstacles, which again led to lack of communications and bad assumptions.

I just wanted the two characters to actually try. I wanted to breathe with them and enjoy their company. But instead they sniped and fought and pushed away (well, mostly Alexa).

I gave up. Not enjoyable.

Chasing You is the fourth book in the Thirsty Hearts series by Kris Jayne. This is the first book by Ms. Jayne that I have read and I can’t believe I hadn’t discovered this author before now. Even though the book is part of a series, it can be read and easily followed without having to read the other books first. But, after reading this one and liking it so much, I will definitely be exploring all her other books!
Ex-Model, now personal trainer, gym owner and true commitment “phobe”- Alexa Stevens lives a jet-set life style. She is all about excitement and adventure- especially when it comes to men. With so many to choose from, why settle down?
After ‘letting go’ a little too much at a New Year’s Eve party, Alexa wakes up next to a stranger, with little recollection of the night before. She flees the hotel, wanting to avoid all the awkwardness that comes with the ‘morning after’ a one-night-stand.
Graham Ryan takes his business very seriously, he works hard- so when it comes to his own, personal time, he plays just as hard. He appreciates a beautiful woman, for a while anyway- but he doesn’t do long-term relationships. He also doesn’t mix business with pleasure, as that only leads to unwanted complications. Will Alexa become the exception to his rule?
Adam Gadsby and Alexa have history, it may not have been long, but for him it was incredibly memorable. He has arrived in town on business, all the way from London. While he’s in town Adam hopes to re-connect with her and rekindle what they began back in London. He knows what he wants and that’s Alexa. Will he be able to convince Alexa that what they shared is worth exploring some more?
There is definite love triangle happening. Alexa has two sexy, successful men who are vying for her affections. How will she know which one is ‘THE ONE’? Will she be able to make a choice, or will her commitment issues lead her to walk away from them both?
Ms. Jayne writes beautifully. She was able to infuse just the right amount of tension, suspense and surprise into the plot. The way she constructed the story and its various elements, was very clever.
The story is entertaining and does contain some really funny moments. There were moments of frustration through it for me though, as I really wanted to shake Alexa and Graham- with all the angst and push-pulling that was going on!
The story had a good pace from about halfway through the book; I found the beginning a little “slow” to get going. But from that point on it moved quickly I found myself enjoying it a lot more.
It is told from a duel POV and has a HEA.
This is a fun, flirty, witty, light hearted and entertaining story.

Thank you Ms. Jayne.

I was able to locate a Box Set of this series where there was the #3.5 novella and the next book included, since they blend as one and man, both of them deserve a very floppy 2.5 but I'll round up to an average weak 3-rating for both.

Okay, so... we open Book 4 up and Alexa is in bed with a 3rd guy from a NEW YEAR's party she and her friends held and she's slept with this new bed-warmer.

Come to find out, Graham - the male MC - is her building’s new landlord for her business and well, she tells us [the readers] she doesn't mix business with pleasure but it isn't long before Graham is warming her bed once again. Oh, and now, apparently, Graham is the same exact person as Alexa is because he's got a fuck buddy on the side he uses when he can't get Alexa back in his bed the first few times she refuses him until she doesn't anymore.

I swear these two idiots were perfect for one another and they continued to not just be rude and cruel to one another [and themselves] but they were fucking hypocrites, as well.

A new yoga instructor comes to interview with Alexa's gym...and it's one of Graham's old fuck buddies...and he does a dumb thing...

I mean, it's like this Author wanted to write a revenge book about 2 people she knew in her life and tried to show us [the readers] how childish, selfish and immature these two were being but were PERFECT for one another.

Anyway, Alexa breaks with Graham... and Adam [from Alexa's vacay in Bk 3.5] is there to be her Boyfriend-for-NOW and then he becomes like a crazy-person stalker; this was the Author's easy way of getting rid of an unwanted man so she could clear the road for Alexa and save her from getting rid of Adam like a fucking ADULT would.

Everything that befell Alexa was mainly her own damn fault for stringing him along and then never allowing her ties to Graham to be severed. No wonder it made Adam crazy-pants because Alexa was hoping to keep BOTH men in her pocket, for you know...certain purposes.

Not so shockingly she ends up having a dumb HEA with Graham even though everyone was screaming at him that Alexa wouldn't commit to him or say she had feels or even liked/loved him, like he did for her, but then again...man, TOXIC PEOPLE who eventually married so they can be toxic together.

Good riddance to this very unromantic romance book. And possibly the last one from this Author I will read in awhile.

I have never seen an Author HATE their characters the way this one does...sheesh...

This is the fourth book in this series, and the first time I am reading any of this authors work. I was not disappointed; however, it did take me a bit of time to get into the book.
Alexa is an ex-model, turned personal trainer, and gym owner, with commitment issues. When old flame Adam arrives back in town determined to win her heart, things change. Can Adam change Alexa’s mind? You really need to read this for yourself to find out.
This is a well written story, and I found that I could not put the book down until finished. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Who Was Doing The Chasing?

This is a difficult book for me to review because I didn't like the main characters, Alexa Stevens and Graham Ryan. Alexa Stevens is an interracial, business owner, a supposedly strong woman. Graham Ryan is a very arrogant businessman who, for the most part, only has one night stands with women.

The story opens with Alexa and Graham in bed after a one night stand. Apparently, this was their agreement - sex only. Alexa wakes and has no idea where she is and once she remembers and sees him, she says "Why can't you disappear in a puff of smoke?" She showers, get dressed and prepared to leave. Graham insists on driving her, so she agreed but leaves while he's in the shower. At this point, Graham is indignant because Alexa stole his thunder. She did to him what he was used to doing to women.

They didn't even know each other's real names. He thinks she's Lola and she thinks he's Ryan. So when they meet later in Austin for business, they're both shocked. He owns the building where she's expanding her business. For her, she wants to forget that night and concentrate on business. For him, it's game on.

The book continues in this vein. She's not interested in a relationship with him but is very attracted to him - you could say she's weak for him. Is he really attracted to her or is a matter of pride?

Enters a third character, a British man, Adam, whom she had an affair with while in London. Once she returns to the USA, she's done with him. However, he continues to call her and finds a way to come to Austin for business for a couple of months. She goes back and forth between Graham and Adam.

There is so much drama between them, it gets ridiculous even though she's Graham friend and decides to give Adam a real chance. Graham hates her being with Adam and let's her know that she really wants him. Adam hates Graham and decides he's the only impediment to him having Alexa. Alexa often sees Graham with other women and inadvertently hires one of his women, Trista, who still wants Graham. After seeing him with Trista, Alexa is furious's and causes a scene. She realizes that Graham was using Trista, so she calls Trista, apologizing for the drama and tells that she still wants her come to work. That's one of the misunderstandings that she and Graham has.

This goes on and on. Both of their family and friends gets in invovled and take sides. They both had lots of friends who very outspoken about who they should be with. Hers are either team Graham or team Adam. For some reason, most of her friends and family went from disliking Graham, because he was a manwhore, to thinking he was the love of her life. How Adam, who appears to truly love her, becomes a cray-cray who stalks her. She finally gets a protective order against him. He calls her at her job and she reports him to the police and he disappears from the book. I blame the author for completely changing his character making him the bad guy. By this point, I disliked everyone in the book and just wanted it to be over for I had a severe case of whiplash. I agree with one reviewer that this is the most "unromantic" romance that I've ever read.

Graham and Alexa deserved each other and the book quickly ends. Yes, the Epilogue ends in a HEA.

Chasing You (Thirsty Hearts Book 4) by Kris Jayne is the fourth book in the Thirsty Heart series. This book is will make you laugh, feel sadness at times and is excitement. This story will show you what happens when someone has a problem committing to someone.

Alexa Stevens is a woman who is an ex-model and has just bought a gym. She feels that there is so much masculine in the world, why just settle down with one man? She meets him, will she change her mind? When her ex comes to town, what will happen? Who will she choose? He was a one night fling so she thought until he comes through the gym doors as the new landlord. Will they keep their relationship professional? Two men want her, how can she choose, who will she choose?

Graham Ryan is a real estate developer who just purchased a building. He meets her one night then she just seems to disappear until he walked into her gym. What will happen when he meets the woman he can't seem to forget? He realizes that there is a conflict of interest, but its a conflict he doesn't want. Will he change is his mind? When she starts spending time with her ex will he change his mind about wanting her?

Alexa and Graham's story is one that is a push and pull relationship. She doesn't want to commit and he doesn't want conflicts. Will they both deny what is between them? Will they stop fighting the forces and just be together? Their story is one where they will have you keep wanting more until the end. They will pull you into their world of fighting commitment. What will happen with them in the end?

This is my first read by Kris Jayne. Kris lives in Dallas with her dogs. She is a devoted writer, reader and traveler. Her passion for writing is only matched by her passion for traveling. This story is a fast read that will have you turning page after page until the end. You will get lost in this book and lose track of time. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love it as much as I have.

Chasing You by Kris Jayne is book 4 in the Thirsty Hearts series. While I have not read the other three, I must say book four was really good! This is the first book by her I’ve read and I’m not afraid to say I’ll be reading the previous three and the ones that come after.
Our story begins with Alexa waking up one morning and realizing that she is not in her own bed. Where could she be? Well, the bleached white sheets give it away. The only place she knows of with bleached white sheets are hotels! (OMG, I know!!) She doesn’t recall staying at that hotel, and soon after that is when she realizes she went out and partied the night before. It had been a New Year’s party!
Not wanting to wake the naked man sleeping next to her, she hurries around the room to gather her stuff. Little does she know, that naked man is awake and ready for breakfast. She freezes and tries to flee but isn’t fast enough. He tries to get her to stay but Alexa can’t. She has to meet with her cousin.
Returning to work at her gym and soon to be spa, she must meet with the new landlord. At this meeting she plans on discussing the previous landlord’s expansion agreements, and hopefully keeping them in order. Much to her surprise the new landlord is the naked man she slept with at the party. Whoa! Talk about a major twist. She didn’t expect that. How was she supposed to make business with him when he had seen her naked? As hard as it is, Alexa must control her thoughts and feelings. She can’t mix pleasure with work. Or can she? Graham, the new landlord feels the same. He can’t help his feelings but he lets them show. Alexa makes him feel different. He doesn’t know if it’s because of the great night they had, or if he really does like her.
Will they both give each other a chance? Or will they keep acting like they don’t like each other?
Great read! 4 stars

“Chasing You” is the fourth book in the Thirsty Heart series and explores whether The One exists.

Alexa is enjoying life. She’s her own boss, life is filled with adventure and no one is tying her down and preventing her from grabbing life with both hands. But a drunken (and blurry) night changes everything. Add in an ex determined to win her back and suddenly Alexa’s life is no longer so carefree. Will her heart tell her to settle down? Or will her head convince her true love doesn’t exist?

This is my first book by the author and I was hooked from the very beginning. The first seen is hilarious! “Why can’t you disappear in a puff of smoke? That’s not the magic act I do, but drop the sheet, and I’ll show you another trick.” It sets the stage for what to expect from the characters. These are well-developed, multi-dimensional characters that you become invested in. And I enjoyed the love triangle angle. It wasn’t about sex, but more of the emotional angle. How do you know when you’ve met The One? Is it someone from your past that got away? Or is there really such a thing? I think most of us have asked ourselves these questions and this is what Alexa is faced with. She prefers not having commitments and wrestles with if she’s content. Even though the character’s lifestyles are far removed from mine, I found them relatable.

This is a smart, funny standalone HEA told in alternating points of view. You will be glued to your reading app from start to finish.

Chasing You (Thirsty Hearts Series, #4) by Kris Jayne

4 out of 4 stars
This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Jayne even though this is the fourth book in the series. This was a well written story, and once I was able to get into the story I found that I couldn’t put the book down until finished it.
Alexa Stevens is an ex-model turned personal trainer and gym owner who lives a jet-set life. Her and her best friend/partner Melissa are expanding their business to include a spa. She doesn’t do commitment with all the exciting adventures to have in this world especially of the masculine variety why get tied down?
Alexa’s old flame Adam Gadsby arrives in town to win her heart, suddenly Alexa's take on long-term love starts to shift.
Then Alexa meets Graham Ryan on New Year’s Eve he is a good looking real estate developer with ladies after him all the time. He likes to keep things light especially since mixing business with pleasure is bound to cause complications he doesn’t need. That is until he meets Alexa.
With Two men chasing Alexa who will she choose? How does she know if she is picking the right man? Can she choose the right man before its two late? If you want the answers to my question then you need to read this book/series.

This box set has been amazing topping it off with this read. Alexa has told everyone time and again she isn't interested in long term but slowly around her things are changing and so is her heart. Graham isn't much better. This is a great read watching these two go back and forth neither wanting to admit they want or need more. Graham keeps trying no matter how far and hard she's pushes even if it means standing in the shadows as long as he can be there when she needs him. This author better get them together before he goes elsewhere.

This is a great story that brings it back to reputation. Grahams biggest enemy was his reputation. This author does a wonderful job of bringing it all out and making this a great story.

This is the 4th book in the Series. There seems to always be one book in a series that just isn't as great as the other books. This was that book for me. It started slowly, l didn't seem to connect with the characters in this book.

Waking up in the morning all Alexa knows is that she is not in her own bed. The only place she knows that has bleached white sheets is hotels. She couldn’t even remember where she was, back tracking her trip she worked out she was in Dallas where she had celebrated new years. Now all she had to do was to get out of the room before the naked person besides her woke up. Sneaking around the hotel room she finds her clothes and freezes when she hears the naked person saying good morning to her. Whoever he was wanted her to stay for breakfast but that wasn’t going to happen. This person thinks her name is Lola and she thinks he told her his name was Ryan.

Returning to her work at the gym which she was the owner she was to have a meeting with the new landlord and she hopes he would stay stick to the agreements for expansion made with the old land lord. Well things couldn’t be any worse the new land lord was now in her office and it was none other than Graham Ryan her new years fling. He looks at Alexa and tells her he is glad she got home ok since she left while he was in the bathroom. Alexa had to force herself to breathe in order to speak. When Graham told her he wanted to speak about that night, she told him that this was a business meeting and that’s all she was going to discuss. He really needed to work out why “Lola” Alexa was being so dismissive towards him.

While ion London Alexa had met Adam, she had, had fun with Adam but that is all it was ever going to be. Adam on the other hand had different ideas and was determined to have Alexa in his life. Adam was moving to Austin for a while for work and while there he planned to make Alexa see that she need his love. In the meantime Alexa and Graham were hanging out together, two problems for Alexa she thought Graham slept with too many women and the wall she had built to protect herself. When Adam arrived in Austin he was not pleased to find out Alexa and Graham were kind of dating but that did not stop him from making a play for her.

Adam ended up seeing Alexa more than Graham, so Graham decided it was time to move on. He could not work out why since she was seeing Adam that she was angry with him for meeting up with other women. He felt it was like she didn’t want him but didn’t want anyone else to have him either. Graham was mad at Alexa while she was having fun with Adam; she had ruined him for being with other women. For Graham there was only Alexa. Alex started to see changes in Adam that she didn’t like. He demanded that she no longer have anything to do with Graham. When she told him that was going to happen as graham was her landlord. Hearing this he got very irritated and started to yell at her over the phone so she hung up on him. Alexa knew this relationship had to end for her own safety but Adam was not going to let that happen without a fight.

Graham was invited to Alexas birthday party and was shocked to find Adam would not be present. This was his chance to tell Alexa his thoughts on Adam and how he was with her. Surprisingly she didn’t get angry with him but told him why she was the only one that could not see what he was doing? Graham told Alexa he was leaving her birthday party to go home and that he hopefully would see her soon.

Reviewed on behalf of 2 girls who love books blog.

Chasing You by Kris Jayne is the 4th book in the Thirsty Heart Series. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone book.

This is the first book that I have read from this series and by this author. Overall I enjoyed the book but it did take me a bit of time to get into it and I thought that the second half of the book was better than the first half and this is where the story really started to pick up pace and therefore my captured my attention.

In this book we read Alexa's story. I believe that Alexa also features in the novella 'Her London Fling' which takes place in time before this story does, however it is not necessary to have read it before Chasing You.
Alexa is an ex-model who now runs her own gym and is happily single - she's having far too much fun to get tied down to one man!
For Graham Ryan, mixing business with pleasure is bound to cause him problems so keeping things casual with Alexa works perfectly for him - but does he secretly want more??
Alexa's old flame Adam comes into town with the intention of making Alexa his and to her he's everything Graham is not - but as time goes by Alexa can't decide who she wants - they are both chasing her but can she make the right choice before its too late?

As I was reading this book I sometimes had the urge to bang Alexa and Graham's heads together - at the beginning I found their relationship quite frustrating. I found the first part of the story just conversations between the pair and not much story. It wasn't until Adam arrived that the story really started to pick up the pace and I started to enjoy it a lot more.
To be fair I liked Graham's character from the beginning, he was funny and had a romantic side to him (even if it took a while to come out) and it was pretty obvious how much he loved Alexa.
I wasn't quite sure about Alexa's character, yes she was strong and independent but I did find her a little frustrating at times. I wonder whether reading 'Her London Fling' may have given me a little more insight into her.
You also get a little background of the other characters in the story so I'm interested to go and read their individual stories too.

Overall I would give Chasing You by Kris Jayne 4 stars and would recommend it. It starts slow but is a good read and I did enjoy it.

Chasing you (Thirsty Hearts book 4) by Kris Jayne a catching five-star read. This is the fourth book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone also. It tells the story of Ex-model turned Gym owner Alexa Stevens and the choice she must make, does she choose the sexy brit that she spent thanksgiving with Adam Gadsby or choose to mix business with pleasure and choose Graham Ryan. Or as someone tells her choose neither of the above. This is because they both come with their own set of issues.
Adam Gadsby is over from London for a conference and will be in Austin for a couple of months and he sees it as the perfect time to woo Alexa, only when he arrives she tells him she has started seeing someone, and he knows its early days so he figures he can change her mind. Adam is a man who believes he will get what he wants, and Alexa is what he wants. Even though Alexa has never said she wants anything long term, and saw him as just a fling, Adam is here to show her what she wants, and sets about showing her the benefits on a long-term deal.
Graham Ryan hasn’t ever wanted anything long term he is serious in his work and believes he can do as he pleases in his non-work time, and he does with lots of women, including one he meets on New Year’s Eve, only problem is he can’t get his new year’s date Lola out of his mind. Then he walks into Lola’s Gym and realises she gave him a fake name Lola is Alexa’s alter ego. Graham realises he wants to see more of her despite the fake name he likes this woman, but not for anything serious as he isn’t looking for long term. That is until her Ex Adam walks back into the picture and he wants something long term with Alexa, Graham starts to realise he may lose her and that’s something he doesn’t think he can face.
There are several very funny moments and scenes in this book, where people think the wrong thing and get the wrong idea, sometimes rightly but not always, it creates a very funny read, that is very hard to put down.

4 Star Review
Chasing You is book 4 in the Thirsty Hearts series by Kris Jayne. It can be read as a standalone novel and is told in alternating points of view by the two main characters, Graham and Alexa with several well developed side characters. Based mostly in Austin, Texas, Jayne delivers one clever, entertaining, and well written novel.

With his good looks and charming personality, Graham Ryan isn’t used to any woman walking away from him; especially a passionate one night stand on New Year’s. However, weeks later, he’s still desperately trying to find the woman who is consuming his every thought.

“What are you offering me?”
“The chance at something spectacular.”
“With you?”
“Why not with me?”

One night stands are supposed to be simply that though-one night only. But several weeks after her one night stand where she snuck out before morning, Alexa Stevens finds herself staring into the whiskey brown eyes of the man she ran out on. And, as luck would have it, she has to work with him.

The more Alexa and Graham are around each other, the chemistry is blazing and everyone around can see the sparks.

“I love a chase, but catching you is more fun.”

Graham pursues her every chance he gets asking her to take a risk and try life with him. But, when an old flame reappears in the picture, things get uncertain. With two sexy and successful men chasing after her, Alexa will eventually have to make a decision on which one to keep or if she wants to date either man.

“Any time he touches you from now on, it won’t feel the same to you. I hope I’ve ruined you for him as much as you’ve ruined me for any other woman.”

Can Alexa outrun Graham or will she let him catch and keep her?

If you’re looking for a fun and flirty romance that ends with an epilogue and a happily ever after, then I highly recommend Chasing You. I loved the witty banter and playfulness between Alexa and Graham so I’ll definitely be reading more of Kris Jayne’s novels.

Alexa is a ex model who has recently bought her own gym. She isn't you typical women wanting a big wedding white picket fence dream no she isn't into settling down she thinks there’s to may men in the world to just stick with one. The question is will she ever change her ways and settle down with one man when she finally meets him (the one)? When her ex arrive back in town will it completely turn her world upside down? What will happen when she has two men fighting for her attention will she chose one or walk away from both and carry on with her not settling down ways???
Graham Ryan Is a real estate agent who meets Alexa one night but suddenly disappear and he has no idea if he will send her again but that all changes when he steps it to a gym but not any gym but hers. He hasn’t forgotten about her she’s embedded herself in his thoughts the girl that disappeared. Will he get through her walls? What will happen when he finds out she's spending time with her ex? Will he walk away and move on or will he fight up against the ex until he get what he really wants her....
Wow Alexa and graham's relationship is like a yoyo they push and pull from each other constantly with Alexa’s commitment issues and Graham doesn't want conflict its hard for them to move forward. Will they ever work through there issues and just be together? Will he finally get her to commit to him? Will they get there happy ever after?
What a novel this is my first read from Kris Jayne and I wasn't disappointed the storyline had me hooked it was different to have the main women to be so against relationship it was a nice change. I found myself reading this book very quickly as I just wanted to know the outcome there are so many obstacles you can't help but keep turning the pages to see if they overcome them. 100% enjoyed wonderful read.....

chasing you by:kris Jayne ****4****
chasing you by kris Jayne is her fourth book from the series thirsty heart series. this is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed her style of writing. she told the story with excitement, intrigue, romance and comical at times, and I wanted to smack the couple a lot. this is the ideal situation of people running away from commitment. they have it in their head that if you commit to someone your afraid your missing out on something better.
for alexa Stevens , how does she know which one to choose. she has two men chasing her and must decide on just one or none. but how does she pick, I don't do commitments and why should I. I live a jet set life as a personal trainer and own my own gym.
moments pass for a reason, especially when you make no attempt to hold onto them.
Graham Ryan is a real estate developer who just purchased a building, which luck would have it is where alexa Stevens lives. he is her new landlord. he and alexa meet on new years eve and spend the night together. the next morning she rolls out of bed and leaves. he has asked everyone he knows who this woman is. he cannot stop thinking about her. he has an appointment with a gym manager and is stunned to find himself face to face with alexa again. Graham likes things simple without commitment until he ex blows back into town from across the pond. when they start spending so much time together it irks Graham. Will Graham change his mind about commitment or will it be too much conflict for him. it seems the forces of nature are working against them, not only is alexa's ex here stealing all her time but one of graham's ex shows up to complicate things. what will happen is anybody's guess. you will have to read the book to find out.

Chasing You, written by author Kris Jayne, is the fourth book in the Thirsty Hearts series. Alexa Stevens avoids commitments. She’s living each day as if it was the only day seeking exciting adventures without being tied down and being independent, true to herself. Yet, two men from different points in her life begin to want more. Graham Ryan has no complaints with Alexa’s outlook – it alleviates complications. Adam Gadsby walks back in Alexa’s life, wanting more. He wants to win her and plans to convince Alexa that he is the right man for her. Though, Graham doesn’t agree… he doesn’t want to lose what he has, possibly wanting more than he anticipated. This requires Alexa to take a look at her life and her choices, which is for her and will she make the right choice?

This is a nicely written story of a fun loving, life of the party woman who is given choices and working it out within her head… and heart which is the best choice. The characters are well developed with them dragging you into their lives, their stories, their wants and needs. Kris Jayne has loaded this story with lots of surprises and will keep you guessing. The story is not focused solely on the sexual aspects of relationships, but more of the whole of what a relationship entails – physical, mental, emotional… This was a great & sexy romantic read with wit and humor mixed in for good measure. I would recommend this to others who enjoy a good romance, whether decisions are easy to make or require more thought. This was my first book by this author and after reading this, I am now curious to read the other books in the series.

Chasing You is Book Four in the Thirsty Hearts series by Kris Jayne. It can be read as part of the series or a standalone novel. The POV alternates between the two main characters, Graham and Alexa. I gave this novel 4 out of 5 stars. This novel had it all: romance, sarcasm, levity, and a great storyline.

Alexa Stevens is a gorgeous and successful woman running her own gym. She doesn’t need a man to complete her. Of course when she feels this way, two men enter her life vying for her attention: an ex and a recent fling. Her recent fling also turns out to be the landlord of the building her gym resides in. Mixing business with pleasure? Rarely works out, but she may take that chance. Or will she choose her ex?

Graham Ryan is a hot charismatic real estate developer who happens to own the building her gym resides in. They have also met before, in a hot one night stand on New Year’s. She seems to want nothing to do with him, which never happens to him. He can’t get her out of his mind, and proceeds to pursue her though she resists. It’s a huge conflict of interest, and though he hates mixing business with pleasure he can’t let her go.

Chasing You is aptly named, because there is a definite chase! The attraction & resistance between the two main characters had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen? Alexa is used to being independent and can’t bring herself to commit to a relationship. Graham doesn’t want any business conflicts, but he’s never felt more strongly for any woman like he feels for her. Will they get together? That’s for you to find out. I hope to read more from this engaging author!

Chasing you (Thirsty Hearts Book 4) by Kris Jayne – 5 Stars
This is the fourth book in this series, however having not read the others did not interfere with my enjoyment of this one.
Graham Ryan is hot! but this does not mean he knows it! After a New Year’s Eve dance in the sheets, he would normally walk away but there is something about his partner in crime that makes him rethink. He never for one minute thought he would find her again when walking into a Gym on business.
Alexa Stevens is an ex-model, but don’t let this fool you, she is by far the brainless bimbo, a successful Gym business owner she is happy to play the field. However, when her Mr London and her Possibly Ryan both seem to want more, who does she pick, what does she do?
Alexa is so strong willed, she is determined to be the best at what she does and doesn’t really have time for a relationship let alone the white picket fence. A surprise visit from her past and random hook up seem to upset her balanced world and she is confused in her feelings towards the two men in her life.
Graham is Hot! sorry I know I’ve already said that, but his character is also steamy and his banter with Alexa was brilliant. He has never wanted a relationship but when the Adam appears back for a visit and wants more, he realises he just might to.
I was vying for him all along and as the story progressed I could understand the confusion; I mean who wouldn’t want two charming gents chasing you. Some of the chapters made me laugh with the storyline and this is what made me love this book.
Now to get the others read so I can work out what I have missed

This is the fourth book in the Thirsty Hearts series. This is the first book that I have read and it's a perfect standalone. Alexa Stevens wakes up New Year’s Day dazed and confused and not in her own bed. Though the man beside her is beautiful eye candy, Alexa flies out of there like a bat out of hell. She really doesn't do commitment. Alexa is an ex model who now owns her own gym and is a personal trainer. She is single and loves it. Why settle down when you can have them all?

Graham Ryan feels the same but would have liked to have breakfast with Alexa that New Year's Day. His ego was bruised from her fleeing so fast. He decides that she's not getting away so easy and starts searching for her. As fate would have it, he finds her three weeks later. She is his tenant in a building he just bought. He starts pursuing her claiming that she owes him breakfast but spending time with her has him falling head over heels in love.

Alexa has never been in love and doesn't know what it feels like. She is drawn to Graham but his player days keep getting in the way. She is too stubborn to even listen to him. Her old flame Adam steps into the picture and has her questioning exactly what she wants out of life. Who does she want it with? Stable committed Adam or Graham who sets her soul on fire?

I enjoyed reading this book and flew through it fairly quickly. Though Alexa did annoy me at times with her obstinate refusal to even listen to Graham. In the end everything worked out the way I wanted it to. It was a fun, light read.

Alexa woke up with the white sunlight blasting her in the eyes. She ducked her head under the loud of bedding and only then realizing she wasn't in her bed. Alexa's heart jump. Where wasshe. She been London, New York, had a weekend in Vegas. Oklahoma for Christmas.. Dallas for the slamming New Year's party. The vodka-induced pounding of her head was muddled her mind. She has no clue where her underwear or her dress is. The hangover was the worst one she had in years. She need your clothes to meet Melissa for their New year's lunch plans.. Than he was there smiling naked and a wake in more ways than one... Alexa say to him "Why can't you disappear in a puff of smoke??" She did realized she said that out loud.
Graham woke up pleased with his New Year's Eve success but she was like a totally different for the woman whom couldn't keep her hands off him just hours back. He told her he couldn't disappear in a puff of smoke. But if she drop the sheet he show her another trick and then he disappear. She took off. Rather than stew over lola Graham called his best friend to check on him.. Graham thought Alex's name was Lola..
With the New Year's adventure over. Alexa went back to her committed relationship with work. She went in work early to get a workout in before heading to her office. She was meeting with the new landlord of the building her business was in. Well she was about to get the shock of her life. When Graham walked in. What will happen read the book to find out.

Chasing You is a sweet romantic story that happens to have a couple of bumps in the road! A fourth book written in a series by Kris Jayne! Alexa and Graham bring the new year in with a bang but what they don’t expect is for the world to be so small. Presto! Alexa and Graham find each other under entirely different circumstances. It does not take away what already happened?! One is trying to be more tough than the other. Friends and family have their own ideas!!
I like the characters for being strong and independent! They each had goals to work towards and achieve. Graham and Alexa seemed combustible in a sweet sort of way. They try hard to stay on the track of meet that guy or girl and move on quickly but sometimes fate between two people is stronger than anything else!! Or maybe not. While Graham and Alexa are figuring things out someone steps up their game enough to confuse Alexa. Now what will she do? I don’t think Alexa is ready for all the turmoil about to happen.
I gave this story four stars! Again, I liked the characters. Liked the issues that created the twists and turns. It flowed nicely. She did a nice job at building up the story! I liked that the author had a flair for detail while keeping the story light and easy going. She was able keep me reading. Which character was going to win over the other what will it take?!

This book is about friendship, dreams, relationship, jealousy and forgiveness. What do you do when you have feelings for two people? Is it fair to date both until you figure out if you have a true connection with either? What happens when someone finds out and gets jealous?

Alexa put all her time into her business. Along with her friend and business partner Melissa they were expanding Starlight Fitness into Starlight Fitness & Spa. Alexa's friends were always on the hunt to find the perfect guy to set her up with.

Graham knew women loved him. He was handsome and charming. He never has a problem walking away after a night. He was not looking for a long term relationship and made sure his dates knew it upfront.

Alexa and Adam had a good time when they were together. She promised that she'd meet up with him when he was in town. Alexa was just being considerate and following through with her promise while Adam was looking forward to it and hoping to become serious.

At a New Year's Eve party Alexa finally put work aside and let loose with friends. The next morning she had a sketchy memory of the previous night and the guy she had drinks and danced with. Graham never got Lola aka Alexa's last name or a way to contact her. Usually that wouldn't bother him, but there was something about Alexa he couldn't shake or get out of his mind.

A thoroughly Enjoyable Book!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the storyline. Alexa, our protagonist, has a big problem committing to a relationship. Model turned gym owner she has thrown herself into her business. Along with her business partner she is running a very successful gym and is a fitness trainer as well. After a New Year's Eve fling, in the city with her friend and business partner, she is back to business. She is expanding her gym and has to deal with the landlord/owner of the building. Twists here. She "ran away" from a relationship with her Artist/tech boyfriend across the pond. He wants her to commit to him, and comes to town and acts so very overly attentive and loving, then there is her "landlord" who has taken an interest in her. Bad boy/good boy...Good boy/Bad boy which is which? Can she commit to anyone? The romp through the book was fun and the characters were complex although developed in some interesting personalities. What I really liked was although there were some sex scenes they were not graphic nor described so the purpose for them in the storyline remained and didn't detract! I WILL read more from this author. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review.

Ok, this is the first book that I’ve read from Kris Jayne. It took me some time to get into the book but once I did it really started to take off.

Alexa is the owner of her her own gym in Austin as well as being a former model. She is completely business minded and doesn’t have time or really the attention to deal with a romantic relationship.

There are two male characters that we see in this story. There’s Adam who she had a slight fling with in England and when feelings started to become present she literally ran for the hills. Then there is Graham who is a real estate developer who doesn’t have a problem picking up women but won’t commit. Alexa and Graham meet over New Years Eve where she gives him a fake name and isn’t there in the morning.

This is where the mess begins. Alexis and Graham has this massive attraction but don’t necessarily want to commit. Adam is in town for a while and wants to reconnect. Graham’s blast from the past ex shows up with drama. There’s a lot to wade through.

Overall it was a good book. In some parts it was hard to get through but I love the push and pull with Graham and Alexa. All the conflicts made it worth our while to get to the end. I’m definitely interested in the other books in this series.

Chasing You by Kris Jayne is the fourth of the series but it is the first one I read.
It was hard to get into the story at first as it felt like a tennis match and both Alexa and Graham seemed not to want to acknowledge what they really want and kept snapping at each other. Once I got further into the story and let myself go along on a ride, I started to relate to Alexa and her resistance to any kind of personal commitment – it is so much simpler to commit to one’s carrier and friends than one’s romantic interest as it makes us vulnerable and tests our trust.
I liked that it was not a wham-bam thank you ma’am story, I ended liking the long way it took for Alexa and Graham to get together as this is how it is also in the real life out here – we might dream of someone sweeping us off our feet but very often the deep and lasting relationships are built long and slow.
On the surface the story might seem fun and sexy but Kris Jayne manages to create different layers and touch upon important issues that we encounter in our daily lives – stalking, lack of communication, assumptions when it comes to other people’s actions, disconnection when 2 people go at different pace in a relationship…
It is a good read, put aside some time, pick up a glass of wine and enjoy the hours!

Chasing You by Kris Jayne

Holy cow, this book will take you on the ride of a lifetime with all of the twists and turns that it takes. When we start this book Alexa is a completely different person than who she is when the book ends, and it is a large change. She meets Graham in the beginning of the book, and then finds out later who he is. They start with a working relationship and it builds from there, though Alexa doesn’t let it get too far before running for the hills. Enter Adam, she met him in London and thought that she had left him there, but she was wrong. She starts a relationship with him, and things are going seemingly well for the couple throughout the book. You can tell that while he is in love with her, she isn’t in love with him. You can also tell that her feelings for Graham are more than what she is letting on. Things take a turn for the worse with Adam and while you know she would love to flee back to Graham, she knows that she can’t. This book has twist and turns that I know I didn’t expect, but I absolutely loved this book. I hope that if you take the time to read this book that you love it as much as I did. Kris Jayne did an amazing job on this book and I would love to read more from this author in the future.

This is the continuation of Alexa's story. Alexa meets Graham on New Year's Eve....that is how her New Year started. But, she disappears and Graham only knows her by a fake name and that doesn't stop him from trying to find her. Until they meet again when the building her business is in is bought by Grahams's company.
Graham is a player. But Alexa is a game changer. The question is, can she change, too?

Gah! This was a much anticipated book for me because I loved the first three stories and the novella introducing us to a more personal Alexa.

I know this is not the norm for me, but my favorite line in the book was when Graham was in traffic in Austin....

"It's just some shitty Austin driver."

For those of you who've never experienced the oh-so-fun drive in Austin....be thankful. {wink wink}

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Thirsty Hearts series written by Kris Jayne. Alexa Stevens is an ex-model turned personal trainer and gym owner has never done commitments. When her old flame Adam Gadsby arrives in town to win her heart, suddenly Alexa's take on long-term love starts to shift. Graham sees her drifting away and wonders if he doesn’t want more. Adam knows what he wants if only he can convince Alexa she wants the same. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
