Plus I didn’t like how often h’s ex was brought-up. He called her frigid and she told this the H.
Why? To sell herself cheap?

I can only speak for myself, but if my ex called me frigid:
a) There would be no one to speak about… coz they let eunuch enjoy his life (guess who would help him to become the one? 🙄)
b) I would never tell this to any man, because why? Only if it was about eunuch…

Sexcation is about two strangers who met on vacation. Jade and Jackson are both in Bermuda with the intent to relax and forget about life at home. When they first meet, they are instantly attracted to each other in a lustful, physical way. They decide that they would spend their entire vacation together pretending to be a couple but not really revealing their true identities. They both agree that once it is over they will go back to their old lives, so why not make the best of it right?

Well, plans don’t always work out the way they’re intended. Jackson and Jade did have a beautiful and SEXY time together and once home they regretted not taking each other information. How do they manage to find each other again? (very interesting). Since their pseudo relationship started with secrets and regrets, everything became more complicated. Jackson and Jade’s feelings for each other deepen. Can they reconnect the same attraction and sizzling chemistry they once shared? I adore Jackson – he is hot, sexy, fun, easy going, and has patience of a Saint. Jade has quite a few skeletons in her closet (self-esteem and self-worth issue from her past). She can be frustrating at times but thank God she was able to work through all the hurdles. This book is told in two POVs so I feel there is quite a bit of repeat information. Over all though, Sexcation was a fun and entertaining read with some drama and twists.

Story, alias Jade, parte controvoglia per una vacanza in solitaria alle Bermuda, alla ricerca di un po’ di serenità, ma soprattutto in fuga dalla pressione e dai notevoli problemi a cui la sua vita la sottopone continuamente. Jackson si ritrova nel suo stesso hotel anche lui in solitaria, per rilassarsi in vista dell’enorme cambiamento che la sua carriera si appresta a compiere. Due sconosciuti che il destino pone l’uno di fronte all’altra...una vacanza all’insegna del sesso senza impegno ed un accordo tra loro, nessuno dovrà svelare il proprio nome e al termine della settimana ognuno se ne andrà per la propria strada! Cosa c’è di meglio di una lettura leggera e piccante? Nulla, ma proprio nulla, perché questo libro di frizzante ha davvero poco! Conosceremo all’inizio due personaggi agli antipodi caratterialmente, una timida e riservata che ha quasi paura della sua stessa ombra, ed un giovane aitante manager in carriera, l’incontro e l’attrazione saranno fulminei, così come fulminea sarà la scelta della riservatissima Jade di trasformarsi, da un capitolo all’altro, in un amazzone della camera da letto lasciandomi al quanto interdetta. I sentimenti che iniziano a prendere vita saranno completamente oscurati da tanto, tanto, tantissimo sesso, finché arrivati a metà libro la vacanza giungerà al termine ed i due, presi dall’ansia della decisione, non faranno altro che blaterare le proprie elucubrazioni mentali su amori improvvisi e destini avversi mettendomi addosso una noia infinita. Ovviamente non svelerò il finale, ma posso dire di aver davvero faticato a raggiungerlo, ahimè volevo scoprire assolutamente quale fosse il motivo di tanto stress nella vita di Story, quale fosse questo trauma dalle proporzioni immani che non le permetteva di vivere la sua vita e la sua sessualità in pace, trasformandola in una specie di dottor Jekyll e mister Hyde, e beh, alla fine mio malgrado l’ho scoperto e personalmente mi ha fatta sorridere.

Sexcation is an unbelievably sexy summer read! I adored both characters … I’ll call them Jade and Jackson, for now. They were fun and sexy. They knew how to connect and did it with passion and flair. I, honestly, read this book in 5 hours … she had me hooked right from the beginning and had me wishing for a whole lot more at the end.

Jackson just needed a holiday before branching out in America. He needed to get away, have some fun and maybe have a hook-up or two. His mind was changed as soon as he saw the sexy woman standing in the lobby. Now all he could think about is her.

She was talked into going to Bermuda by her best friend. After a bad break-up, she was told to go … let loose … have fun … have sex. But, how could she? She’s convince that she’s frigid – like she was told. But, just one look at that guy in the lobby and she’s rubbing her legs together.

A meeting on a balcony. A meeting at the pool. Jade and Jackson are born and the wild ride begins. But, they agreed, they have an end date to their little charade. Unfortunately, since neither of them are being totally honest, they have no idea that they both don’t want the vacation to end and would really like to see each other again.

They get their wish. But Jay and Story don’t get exactly what Jackson and Jade wished for.

I outright laughed reading this story. I loved the banter. I loved the timidity of Jade/Story. I loved the brashness of Jackson/Jay. The beginning of my laugh-out-loud moments was when Jade woke up and thought an octopus was latched to her boob. And, it didn’t end – even during the angsty parts. I can’t remember when I read a story that truly made me happy. I’ve always loved Heidi McLaughlin’s writing and I just love that she wrote this light-hearted, fun story. The perfect summer read if you are sitting beside a pool, on the beach or on a yacht.

Okay, I have never had a holiday fling but I know friends who have. A bit of harmless fun, some great sex and then you part ways never to see each other again. What if you take it one step further and use fake names, never revealing anything true about yourself?

Welcome to the story of Jackson and Jade ☺ Jade has recently broken up with her long term boyfriend and after some convincing by her best friend, decided to go away for a weeks holiday on her own. Jackson is there for a one week break from his busy life and just wants to recharge his batteries / relax. Until he spots Jade checking in and as luck would have it, he ends up in the adjoining room beside hers.

Jackson is a fine looking man and when Jade sees him for the first time, she is reclining beside the pool perving at this hot stranger, who is being hit on by other women. He swims though the water, gets out, walks over to her, kisses her deeply and then sits down beside her. Talking about making a lasting first impression!

There must be something in the air or just the fact that this man is so gorgeous but Jade finds herself agreeing to play his wife for the week they are there. He wants to be ‘unavailable’ to other women so he can truly relax and Jade thinks a bit of harmless fun won’t hurt right?

It does not take long for the chemistry and attraction between them to build to ridiculous levels and the lines between pretending and reality are blurred and then eventually completely erased. These two are hot for each other and the vacation turns into a marathon sexcation. Jackson schools Jade in the art of love making and pretty much blows her mind & body, several times a day.

‘The problem is I can’t keep my hands off her. And when my hands are on her, my dick is rock hard. I have never shagged this much in one day.’

They also have a lot of fun out of the bedroom, doing touristy things and exploring all the sights. This is beginning to feel a bit like love so when the week is up and they part ways at the airport terminal they keep the anonymity up, each of them hoping that one day to cross paths again, but never voicing it to each other.

Fate steps in about a month later and it seems that even if they hadn’t met on holiday, they were bound to meet each other. Jackson works in the same industry as Jade’s parents, an industry she is ashamed of and distances herself from. She can’t reconcile that the man she was falling for is the sort of man she knows she would never want to be with.

It is a shame that her body didn’t get the memo though because she wants him anyway. Jackson is determined to have Jade back in his life and this time he plans to never let her go.

I think the name made this book seem more dirty than it was actually. So disregard the title, please.
It was pretty entertaining and very sexy sweet and that was just the week in Bermuda.
Things got more complicated after their vacation or got easier, depends on how you see their leaving the island without sharing their real names or hometowns.

Fun story and I liked the characters. It was clear what Story's problem was (besides the dumb first name) and therefore you sort of understand her behavior (barely).

I loved this book!

I loved the banter between the two of them, it was fun.

I'll admit, I almost gave up on this book. There is ALOT of inner dialogue that is very repetitive of the chapter before and I found myself skimming ...

But I needed to know what happened when the trip came to an end!

What a bizarre yet interesting twist. The second half was much better. Still same issues but I just passed over it.

Okay, so this happened .... what I assumed would be a quick rom-com about two strangers meeting on a vacay and falling into lust and having lots of incredible sexy times turned into a really heart warming story about two strangers meeting on vacay and growing from lust to more :) color me *haaaaaaaaaappy sigh* :)

I really enjoyed everything about this story. The way it unfolded was very realistic and relatable. Both Story and Jackson were created perfectly for each other, both with hurdles of their own to grow from as well as grow with each other. It's a really well rounded story full of heart and smiles and lots of sexy :)

Expect the unexpected

Usually a vacation means relax, fun, traveling. This is more than
that, cause Jade will get so much more.
Do you find the British accent....irresistible? And if this British
guy is also good looking and the first thing he does when he get close
to you....is introducing himself with....a kiss??? That's how Jade met
Jackson. And when he tells Jade that he needs to play along pretending
to be his wife? Obviously and unexpectedly she agrees. Now her
vacation looks so much better right? But this is just the
beginning....because he will treat her like a princess....is his fake
wife, isn't she? But this dream which look perfect, gets a huge impact
on both of them. Cause their chemistry and their feelings are far from
fake....the problem is that they know nothing about each other. It was
the main rule of their pact. So when their dream/vacation ends....how
will do to meet again, if they don't know their real names? It looks
impossible. It looks like the end for their obvious but unconditional
love. But fate is by their side. I won't tell you how, when they will
meet again, but nothing will be the same!

Jackson e “Jade” sono in vacanza alle Bermuda i due si incontrano al check-in ed è subito attrazione ma ognuno prosegue per i fatti propri fin quando Jade non scopre che la sua camera è comunicante con il tizio che ha squadrato al check-in. Jackson è un imprenditore di successo bellissimo le donne lo desiderano e tre ragazze non fanno Che corrergli dietro fin quando lui non si inventa di avere una moglie scappando da Jade e baciandola senza permesso , lei sta al gioco e decidono di fingere di essere marito e moglie per una settimana senza rivelare nulla ad entrambi sulla loro vita privata....

Il libro l’ho trovato molto carino certo niente di eccezionale ma piacevole per passare alcune ore. L’inizio è scorrevole ma dopo un po’ meno fin quando la trama poi non si svolge a New York . Per me 3,5 stelle .

Fenicette, questa volta vi propongo una recensione pressoché priva di spoiler.
Questo libro l’ho scelto senza leggere la trama; è una cosa che ogni tanto faccio se la copertina mi colpisce.
E come può non colpirci una copertina come questa? Ѐ praticamente impossibile!
Fare una scelta di questo tipo è sempre un rischio, anche molto grosso, però ancora una volta sono stata fortunata.
Il romanzo è bellissimo.
Una storia d’amore carina, dolce, divertente, ironica e sexy, anzi direi dannatamente sexy.
Non voglio raccontarvi molto della trama per non togliervi la voglia di divorare il libro pagina dopo pagina, per scoprire cosa succederà, come è capitato a me.
Dopo averlo letto, mi direte se anche voi vorreste incontrare lungo il vostro cammino “un dio del sesso” come lui.
Jackson è inglese e il suo accento manda su di giri Jade; vestito da uomo d’affari ha un fascino incredibile, ma sotto i suoi costosi abiti si nasconde un ragazzaccio con un fisico scultoreo e tanti tatuaggi.
È sempre stato assorbito dal suo lavoro, che è molto particolare e per questo motivo non ama parlarne con le persone perché finirebbero per guardarlo in maniera diversa.
Ha sempre pensato che le relazioni non facessero per lui, così cupido si è messo in mezzo e gli ha rivoluzionato la vita.
Questa è la sua occasione per fare conoscere il suo vero io.
Jade è appena uscita da una relazione fallimentare e la sua amica l’ha spedita in vacanza per distrarla.
Lei è convinta di trascorrere le ferie da sola a leggere, invece i suoi ormoni impazziscono appena vede Jackson in completo sartoriale. Già il suo accento britannico le provoca dei brividi lungo la schiena, ma quando lo vede in costume le viene addirittura l’acquolina in bocca e pensieri lascivi mai avuti iniziano a tormentarla.
Questo libro ha una caratteristica che io personalmente non ho mai trovato altrove e che mi è piaciuta molto: è diviso in capitoli che narrano il punto di vista di Jackson oppure di Jade, però la parte finale di ciascun paragrafo viene poi ripresa in quello successivo e raccontata dalla prospettiva dell’altro protagonista.
Non pensate però di trovarvi davanti ad una ripetizione narrativa che può stancare o far calare l’interesse.
Assolutamente no!.
Anzi tutt’altro. Questo doppio punto di vista rende la lettura molto divertente e stimolante ed è bello osservare le due versioni della stessa medaglia.
Oltre l’amore, la scrittrice ha toccato temi importanti come la famiglia, il rapporto genitori-figli, l’amicizia e il bullismo, con le cicatrici che lascia nell’animo anche quando si è ormai diventati adulti.
Ragazze, vi assicuro che tutti questi argomenti molto profondi vengono shakerati insieme molto bene e ci regalano momenti dolci e divertenti.
Perché mai vi consiglio questa lettura?
Perché è un buon libro, è scritto bene, intrigante e il sesso c’è ed è raccontato con dovizia di particolari, ma senza mai diventare volgare o pesante.
Vi terrà inchiodate fino alla fine, con momenti di suspence, perché anche se si può intuire come sarà la conclusione, ma il percorso che i nostri protagonisti fanno non è per niente prevedibile né scontato.

Jackson incarna tutto ciò che cerco in un uomo, se fossi alla ricerca, e se lui fosse realmente così. È facile essere l’uomo dei sogni, se stai recitando una parte.

È un romanzo che accontenta le aspettative delle lettrici romantiche in cerca di una storia a lieto fine; quel tipo di storie che lasciano un buon sapore, pagina dopo pagina, senza troppi sconvolgimenti.
La trama è intrigante, con tanti spunti e conflitti che potevano essere sviluppati in modo più approfondito. Una prima parte del romanzo vede i due vacanzieri che decidono di conoscersi senza svelare nulla di se stessi e del loro lavoro; è la fase in cui si innamorano e si conoscono soprattutto carnalmente, ma in cui scoprono anche di trovarsi bene insieme, in cui riconoscono nell’altro, segretamente, “la persona giusta”. La sintonia con cui giocano nei loro finti ruoli, con cui osano e sperimentano cose nuove, è qualcosa che accade a prescindere dalla loro vera identità, ed è qualcosa che può esistere solo perché l’anonimato consente loro totale libertà.
Jay è una “bella copia” del principe azzurro: oltre all’aspetto fisico e alle dotazioni, lo è nei modi educati di parlare, di atteggiarsi, nel modo in cui riesce a far sentire Story importante e corteggiata, nelle attenzioni che le riserva.
Nella seconda metà del libro, una volta terminata la vacanza, Jay e Story hanno modo di ritrovarsi e devono fare i conti con le loro rispettive vite, le loro quotidianità, la prospettiva di una relazione che non sia a scadenza. Nonostante l’attrazione persistente, in questa fase la determinazione di Jay dovrà fronteggiare una ragazza restia a lasciarsi andare.
Sono diversi i motivi che inducono Story a non accettare il suo corteggiamento, tra cui il dubbio che lui non sia la stessa persona che ha conosciuto durante la vacanza, stante il loro accordo di fingere un’identità diversa. Ma il problema riguarda soprattutto il settore in cui Jay lavora: come i suoi genitori, anche il suo aspirante ragazzo gestisce un’attività nel mondo dei sex toys, un fatto che ha traumatizzato la sua infanzia e che lei non ha mai accettato fino in fondo.

I due protagonisti sono caratterizzati in modo da rispondere alle aspettative della lettrice romantica in cerca della fiaba: Jay è dolce e amabile, capace corteggiare con gesti eclatanti e regali significativi, di inseguire tenacemente senza mai desistere, di piegarsi senza arrabbiarsi. Praticamente privo di difetti, riempie questa ragazza di attenzioni, di coccole e di potenza sessuale, ed è il classico uomo asservito, adorante, sexy, monogamo, romantico.
Allo stesso modo, Story incarna pienamente i sogni più elementari delle fiabe: principesse che devono essere corteggiate e conquistate da un eroe in grado di affrontare innumerevoli prove, e che si aspettano di essere rispettate sia nella loro (moderna) indipendenza, ma anche di essere venerate come principesse. La tipica donna orgogliosa a cui tutto è dovuto, che ha tutte le risposte giuste e il diritto di cambiare gli uomini, dotata di buon gusto, piacente e desiderata (non solo da lui ma da tutti gli amici), e con potere decisionale su tutto, dal vestito del suo uomo al numero di figli, il tutto senza dover lottare.
La seconda parte del romanzo, quindi, è meno ricca di momenti erotici e più concentrata sul convincere una donna che si fa rincorrere.

Il giudizio complessivo rimane su valori medi, considerando anche uno stile narrativo troppo introspettivo e ripetitivo.

"Sembra addormentato, ed è per questo che lo osservo. In realtà, suppongo che continuerei a farlo anche se fosse sveglio, perché pare che non riesca a impedirmelo. È perfetto, almeno per quanto mi riguarda. È difficile da spiegare, ma è tutto ciò che ho sempre cercato in un uomo, ma che non ho mai avuto il coraggio di prendermi. È il modo in cui si pone. È sicuro di sé e di quello che vuole. Quando mi guarda, mi sento viva, sensuale e desiderata. E quando mi è accanto, i miei sensi sembrano amplificati. Adoro il suo accento e lo ascolterei parlare senza sosta. Se cominciasse a leggere il dizionario, mi metterei seduta e starei a sentirlo solo per la sua voce. E quando mi chiama amore… be’, è allora che perdo ogni buon senso e vorrei tanto che non stessimo facendo questo gioco."

Jackson e Story si conoscono alle Bermuda: lei esce da una storia finita male, il suo ex ragazzo l' ha lasciata perché la riteneva noiosa e che mancava di iniziativa. Conosce Jackson in un modo bizzarro, lui le propone di fingere di essere sua moglie per sfuggire alle avances di alcune donne ospiti nel resort. Essendo entrambi single e nessuno li conosce lì,  possono chiamarsi con un nome falso, anzi possono proprio inventarsi ogni genere di cosa, persino le storie più stravaganti. Non cercano di fare colpo l’una sull’altro ma solo di evadere dal loro quotidiano. La regola è che devono mentirsi e questo ha senso: si trovano in vacanza e l’ultima cosa che vogliono è che un’avventura si trasformi in qualcosa di asfissiante. Così diventano Jay e Jade. Quando Jade ha scoperto che sotto il vestito firmato c’era un tipo pieno di tatuaggi che ai suoi non sarebbe mai piaciuto, si è accesa persino di più, per lei rappresentava il connubio perfetto, ma non c’era speranza che un uomo del genere si interessasse a una come lei, di questo era convinta.

Come avrete notato la sinossi ci lascia a bocca asciutta, ed essendo io una tipa strana, questa è la prima cosa che mi ha attirato. La seconda è il concetto alla base di questo libro. Due sconosciuti si incontrano, si piacciono e decidono di passare una settimana insieme facendo splendido sesso ed esplorando un bellissimo paradiso tropicale insieme.

Sono adulti, consenzienti, a quanto pare senza legami e vogliono solo passare una bella vacanza senza pensare a un eventuale impegno alla fine. È divertente, è eccitante, è perfetto per due persone, magari quotidianamente molto impegnate con il lavoro, che non sono in cerca di una relazione.
Insomma, già da questo avrete capito che Sexcation è una lettura incredibilmente sexy e bollente ma, sorpresa delle sorprese anche estremamente romantica.
Jade e Jackson sono d'accordo sull'avere un'avventura estiva per poi separarsi e non rivedersi mai più. Jade ha recentemente rotto con il suo fidanzato di lunga data e la sua migliore amica l'ha praticamente costretta ad andare via per una settimana di vacanza da sola, per rilassarsi e rifasarsi. Jackson è lì perché è stanco e ha bisogno di uno stop dalla sua vita frenetica, che da lì a una settimana sarà ancora più frenetica a causa di un nuovo progetto di lavoro. O almeno questo era il piano di Jackson fino a quando non posa gli occhi su Jade. Da quel momento le sue priorità diventano altre.
La prima mossa Jackson la mette in atto in piscina, delle ragazze lo stanno importunando, quindi per togliersi dagli impicci coglie la palla al balzo e bacia Jade facendo finta che sia sua moglie. E sorpresa, o forse non proprio sorpresa, lei ricambia il bacio e accetta di interpretare la parte della moglie per l'intera settimana.
Jade al momento ha attirato tutta l'attenzione di Jackson che è interessato solo a rilassarsi magari in compagnia dell'unica donna che ha catturato la sua attenzione. Jade, da parte sua pensa che un po' di innocuo divertimento in un posto dove nessuno la conosce non potrà farle che bene.
La chimica tra loro è immediata e profonda. Non riescono a togliere le mani l'uno dall'altra. Questa vacanza è davvero una sexcation di proporzioni epiche.
Questa prima parte del libro è ricca di scene di sesso con degli scenari fantastici a fare da sfondo, ma vedremo anche nascere un amore, crescere i sentimenti di questi due ragazzi. Sta per finire la settimana e d'improvviso il lettore si ritrova a volerli insieme, a volere di più. E grazie al cielo ci troviamo solo al 50% del libro.

Jade and Jackson are on a weeks vacation to a tropical paradise to get away from the pressures of their real lives for a short time. Instinctively drawn to each other more than just the physical from first glance. It would seem the universe is conspiring to bring them together, making them neighbours in adjoining rooms and sharing a balcony. Followed by an elaborate rescue of Jackson from the clutches of three barracudas leading to an arrangement of a fake relationship for the duration of their vacation under the guise of keeping the predators away from Jackson.

Jade suffers from low self-esteem stemming from the bullying she endured during her teens as a result of her parent's occupation and exasperated by her Ex labelling her as frigid :( Jade needs to take ownership of her sensuality, something Jackson is more than willing to help her with.

Jackson is a workaholic, entrenched in the expansion of his family business and embarking on a new venture. There are hints within the narrative as to his upbringing and social status, as well as clues to the nature of the family business.

Jade and Jackson have so much in common from favourite breakfast foods to family responsibilities' the more time they spend together the more they realise that they may have met the one person who is destined for them. However, both are afraid of rejection and instead of confronting their feelings and each other, they both hide behind the rules they have set for themselves - a prison of their own making.

Returning to their real lives is bittersweet, as they both realise they desperately want to be with the other for more than just a vacation. However, they have no way of contacting the other, not even a last name or home town. Although fate has other plans in store for Jade and Jackson, bringing them together in dramatic fashion and in more than one way. They really were destined to meet and fall in love ♥ Unfortunately, Jackson's business and the source of Jade's teen angst are the same, challenging Jade's outlook on both the business and the way in which she views it. Can they overcome the large barrier that has been erected between them or will Jackson be able to help Jade slay her demons once and for all?

I completely adored both Jackson and Jade, their character is brilliantly portrayed brought to life with their interactions not only with each other but the trials and tribulations they endure with friends and family.

While the characters are endearing, it is the romance within Sexcation that is guaranteed to sweep you off your feet. If someone would like to sponsor a vacation for me to a tropical paradise to find my own happily ever after please let me know ;)

What a fun read!

Sexcation is one unbelievably hot and steamy sexy summer romance read. Both characters Jade and Jackson make up this couple who have a holiday fling then you part ways never to see each other again. Why would she have this fling, well Jade has recently broken up with her long term boyfriend and after some hard core push by her best friend, decided to go away for a week’s holiday on her own. Jackson is there at this resort because he is worn out and wants to just regroup and disconnect from his busy life for a week and relax. All that was Jackson’s plan until he lays eyes on “Jade” and then he finds out he is in the room next to hers. He makes his move when she is at the pool for he swims around and over to her, gets out, walks over to her, kisses her deeply and then sits down beside her. Talk about first impressions… Jade finds herself agreeing to play his wife for the week they are there. He wants to be ‘unavailable’ to other women so he can just unwind without having to fight off women and Jade thinks for her, a bit of harmless fun won’t hurt anyone. The chemistry between these two is immediate and deep. They can’t help but keep their hands off one another. This vacation is really a sexcation of epic proportions---- When the week is over, they part ways at the airport terminal they keep the anonymity up, both of them hoping to one day cross paths again, but never saying it to each other.
About a month later, Fate plays a hand when they meet up again and find out who each really are. Jackson works in the same industry as Jade’s parents, an industry she has deep issues with and distances herself from. When she finds out the man she is in love with works in that business, it disrupts everything she thought she knew, everything she was building in her head with Jackson. Can they overcome the large barrier that has been erected between them? Will Jackson be able to help Jade slay her demons once and for all? This is such a fabulous story with awesome secondary characters and the plot really works. It is told in two parts and I enjoyed the steamy scenes completely. Loved it!

I was given a advance copy for an honest review and I thought sexcation was ok, I am a fan of Heidi McLaughlin's book "Forever my Girl," so I was looking forward to reading more of her work. I think she is a good writer and the whole pretense of the book is two strangers meeting during vacation, lusting for other another and pretending to be husband and wife for a week. I am not too big on books where characters rush into love and hook up quickly, I understand for this book to work that it needed to happen, but I could understand more lust at first sight and not love.

I also had an issue with how much Jade/Story cried throughout the book, I felt like she was too insecure and a bit of a flip flopper with her feelings towards Jackson. Throughout the book it was mostly Jackson trying to prove himself to Jade/Story and I honestly think no guy in the right mind would go through all the hoops he did just to prove his love to a girl.

I found the whole destine to be together cute, fated no matter what, the sex scenes were good and not too much which is great since you want there to be a actual story line and not just about sex. The whole parents and Jackson having a sex toy business was a bit funny and definitely not something that I saw coming when their business was eluded to in the book.

Over all the book was a good read but not my favorite from this author.

Jackson e Story si conoscono alle Bermuda: lei esce da una storia finita male, il suo ex ragazzo l' ha lasciata perché la riteneva noiosa e che mancava di iniziativa. Conosce Jackson in un modo bizzarro, lui le propone di fingere di essere sua moglie per sfuggire alle avances di alcune donne ospiti nel resort. Entrambi single ed essendo che nessuno li conosce, possono chiamarsi con un nome falso, anzi possono proprio inventarsi ogni genere di cosa, persino le storie più stravaganti. Non cercano di fare colpo l’una sull’altro ma solo di evadere dal loro quotidiano. La regola è che devono mentirsi e questo ha senso: si trovano in vacanza e l’ultima cosa che vogliono è che un’avventura si trasformi in qualcosa di asfissiante. Così diventano Jay e Jade. Quando Jade scopre che sotto il vestito firmato c’è un tipo pieno di tatuaggi che non le sarebbe mai piaciuto, si accende persino di più, perché per lei rappresenta il connubio perfetto, ma non c’è speranza che un uomo del genere si interessi a una come lei, di questo è convinta. Lei non è il tipo da avere la messa in piega, non indossa vestiti di marca e si fa le unghie da sola. Ma adora l’idea di mentire a Jackson, sapendo che non lo avrebbe mai più rivisto. Trova che ci sia qualcosa di straordinario nel costruirsi una nuova immagine, soprattutto se è migliore dell’originale. Può essere quello che desidera senza conseguenze. Anche per lui è facile essere l’uomo dei sogni, perché semplicemente recita una parte.
Il destino li ha fatti conoscere ma la realtà li terrà lontani, ossia il lavoro che li accomuna ma che Story ripudia con tutte le sue forze, per i trascorsi dolorosi vissuti a causa dell'attività di famiglia.
Ho trovato originale lo svolgimento della prima parte della storia poi però ho ravvisato troppe coincidenze e intrecci poco probabili. Inoltre se Story all'inizio del libro si è facilmente lasciata andare con uno sconosciuto, con Jackson ritengo l'abbia tirata troppo per le lunghe, allontanandolo in ogni modo possibile senza neppure lasciarlo spiegare.
La scrittura appare leggera, frizzante e abbastanza piccante,così come già preannunciava il titolo.
I protagonisti sono caratterialmente opposti, riservata e timida lei, manager in carriera e sicuro di sé lui.
La caratterizzazione dei personaggi avviene per lo più nella seconda parte del libro.
