SWEAT, a sexy new standalone from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Deborah Bladon. Exercise is supposed to strengthen the body and clear the mind, right? Wrong. When I’m looking across the gym at a half-naked Smith Booth, it’s hard to focus on anything but his gorgeous face, piercing brown eyes and the way the sweat travels down his abs to his…. I can’t. If I didn’t already know Smith, I’d think he’s the hottest man on the planet, but we have a past. It’s not checkered. We didn’t have a sordid affair that ruined anyone’s life. He stole the only thing that ever mattered to me. Forgiving him is not an option. Apparently, avoiding him at my favorite gym isn’t either. I can hold a grudge forever, can’t I? I just wish my pulse didn’t race every single time he looks my way. *Author’s Although a few characters from my past books make appearances in SWEAT, it’s not necessary to read any of my other books to enjoy SWEAT.
Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.
She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
Confusing. I have read other DB books and have rated them 4 stars+. This one didn't feel like the same author, I didn't get chemistry, and the story didn't flow well. Win some, lose some.
Wow, Brynn has held onto an anger for her brothers best friend, Smith for years. They meet again after years, he is definitely interested in talking with her, to apologize, so they can become friends once again. Only to realize, she has been angry about something that doesn't exist, and now they have to come to terms with can they become friends, can she get past her feelings? Love their story💞.
I didn't like how after seeing h at the gym H takes someone home. It's not like in some books where he does not know the h or may never see her again. He knew her and planned to reconnect with her because he had feelings for her. I guess not enough to not screw Caprice from the gym.

3.5 stars, I loved the characters. Their chemistry flowed but the storyline itself was just okay. Am an avid Deborah fan but this book just didn't make me "SWEAT" the way her other books have. Am so looking forward to Julian and Maya's story next.
I liked the h while she was holding the grudge. When her resolve started to fade, I quit. Highly unlikable, in my opinion of course, male protagonist. The flashbacks and the current thoughts about OWs (incl. possible threesome) don't make a man attractive to me. And if I got the time frame correct, he slept with OW the day he met the h again.

If you want some hate to love romance, then this story is for you. Second chances don't often come along, and when there is anger involved things can make you sweat! This newest story was an enjoyable short story to read. Full of heart, soul, love, and anger. The fuel they each had for each other was set to blow. When things finally combusted neither Brynn nor Smith were the same. Brynn just wants to make her mark on the world with her own terms. There are some secrets and anger that will come to head as she faces off with Smith Booth. She will have to find strength to weather the storm and come out on top. Smith just wants one thing now and that is Brynn. When he finds out that her anger isn't over what he thought, he will stop at nothing to prove to her that there is a fine line to love. I would recommend this story. All of the characters were written well and the plots closed up in a way that is typical to this author's style. If you are looking for some guaranteed HEA love grab this book.
4 Star Read: Among some of my favorites. Outstanding literary work. The characters are well developed, interesting. The liked characters are likable and the hated are unlikable. The writing is captivating enough to keep you interested until the end and leave you wanting more. It has a fairly original or uniquely well-developed plot. The pretense and romance were well balanced and done with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors, and chemistry. Not so much predictable if at all. Overall, loved it, I recommend reading!!

I chose this rating because this was an alright book. I enjoyed the characters pretty much. This book was really based on hurt feelings, sadness, and manipulation. I was happy that Smith and Brynn got together because there was some turbulence at first. She thinking he did something underhanded, that he didn't know about. He really didn't have a clue. She found out who was the real culprit, she was really hurt. Anyway things turned out last they should've. Recommend for all romance readers.
Another solid romance , Smith a tv presenter meets up with Brynn a woman he knew as a teenager she is his best friends sister, he regrets not kissing her when she was seventeen but now she is all grown up and all woman. She has always been attracted to him but now hates him because she thinks he cheated her. These two have to struggle her issues to get together but when they do it's sexual fireworks. A good all round romance.
First book by this author and I will be looking for more. Cannot wait to read Adley's and Julian's book. The chemistry between Smith and Bryn was good and the banter. I really enjoyed this book and was up till 2.30am as I couldn't put it down. If you've not read this yet then I would one click it today. Such a good read and well worth five stars.
First off I don't normally comment on covers but wow this guy is hot. Secondly I've got to say I'm a little disappointed in this one. I didn't feel a connection or feel any depth to this story. It was ok a take it or leave it on this one. Which surprised me as I've read every book released from Deborah Bladon. Anyway hoping for the next one. Hope it's better. ~
I always look forward to books by this author and while this book was good thought it could have had a little more to it. The story line is great as are the characters, there's humor, plenty of hotness and all around good read, just think there could have been a little more to the end. With that said would still recommend it.
very nice read...sweet, funny and sexy/steamy...loved the characters, the writing style and the storyline...initially its so fun to read when she is talking/referring about 'A' incident while he keeps thinking its about 'B' incident...this is my first read from author, and I'm looking forward to reading many more books by her:-)
Lol I thought this might be the usual cliffhanger. Glad it wasn’t. I love Smith and Brynn their story was unique but not. Smith was Brynn brothers best friend that part is the same, but I didn’t expect the story line or the history of family that where the suspense comes in at. Loved it.
Another good one for Bladon, but I got a little tired of repetitive dialogue about the brownstone and Caroline. Come on are women today really like that? If they are this world is screwed worse than usual. I really did like the story and characters.
Short, but sweet love story. Just enough heat to keep it interesting. Smith and Brynne are great Characters, and I love that Adley was included as well. I enjoy how Deborah incorporates elements of other stories in her books. I also feel that Brynne's brother Julian and Maya will become their own story soon.
Sweat will give you all kinds of good feels! Its a light, happy read. Brynn and Smith have known each other most of their lives, he is her brothers best friend. She has had a crush on him since she was 17, now 8 years later they reconnect.
Deborah, you never disappoint! You continually pull me into the characters and I feel like I am right there. I Love Brynn and Smith! Cannot wait for Crew and Troublemaker and Julian and Worth.
I absolutely love Deborah Bladon. I LOVE her books. They are so much fun to read. I loved Smith and Brynn. This was a super quick and easy book! Loved it and can't wait to read Julian's book!
As usual beautiful, wonderful and an amazing read. Couldn't put the book down for a second. Thanks for yet another wonderful read and I can't wait for the other 2 books.
I loved this book and everything about it. What a wonderful story about hatred, forgiveness and finding what you really wanted in life. What a great love story. This author never disappoints me. She just keeps writing awesome stories. A must read
Once you start...... you can't put it down. Love....sweet....Love. And hot, sexy, love! You can never go wrong picking up one of Deborah's books.... Always a great read.
Another hot and sweet hero that just loves his woman. This couple was cute and fun together. Plus the love that had been pushed away for all those years made it that much better
This is the constant remark for all of Ms. Bladon's books. I love everyone of them and can't put them down until the last page. She is an awesome writer. As always...Enjoy!!!
Thankfully it was a short book. When I write a review (a rare thing) it because the book made me feel something and this one... it was probably the first time I bursted out of laughing because of the writing : it was really bad. So nope, I won’t probably try another book from this author
I took a break from reading this particular authors books and just decided to start again. This book was incredibly predictable and rushed. I did not enjoy it, I found myself skimming it towards the end.
This is another excellent romance story. Love these two. These stories are just too short! I want more of their lives, cause you get such a warm feeling. There should be more.
Brynn and smith are amazing together! I love how they were drawn to each other even when Brynn was trying so hard to hate him and to be angry. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and watching their stories unfold. Very sweet and passionate
