A steamy and hilarious standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Samantha Towle. I’m used to being in charge. In and out of the office. So, when my parents go behind my back and hire a co-CEO to help me manage my family’s business, let’s just say, I don’t take it too well. Especially not when the woman they’ve hired is the one girl who hated my guts in college. She thinks I’m an overprivileged, womanizing man-whore. I think she’s an uptight, stuck-up bitch. And, now, she’s here, in my office, telling me how to run my company. I don’t think so. It doesn’t matter that she has legs that go on for days or that I keep imagining bending her over my desk and showing her just how bossy I can be. I’ve worked my ass off and paid my dues to get to where I am, and she’s not taking it from me. No freaking way. Morgan Stickford is about to learn the hard way that Wilder Cross is the only boss around here.

The older books by ST are still on my keepers shelf. I found her writing engrossing with male characters who had their jerk moments but were so sweet and lovable that I could easily get past it. She also created maybe not the strongest female leads but definitely not the weakest either so I still ended up liking them. It saddens me to say that this book and another she wrote with another author feels like someone else is writing for her now. Her male characters in those two books especially this one was a disgusting piece of crap with no redeeming of his character even towards the end! I won't go into detail so much but he was a rotten human being so are his friends, his explanation of his youth in no way excuses his shallow and cruel behaviour. The fact that he and that wonderful friend Connor had that nasty saying that any girl over a size four was not worth noticing wasn't just shallow it was downright evil! Men with attitude like that cause young girls so much pain and insecurities that follow them all throughout their lives but yet his excuse of being young and stupid was just supposed to make us all forget and move on?! The heroine in my opinion was weak and too pathetic for me to like. She ended up with him knowing that what he did to help make her college life miserable, that he not only slept with her nasty roommate but also one of her best friends. Well if that's what she wants good luck to her because by his admission he has slept with so many women even he can't place the faces when he sees them. She is going to go through life with him with bumping into his ex shags all the time and know what a whore he was!
One last thing she knows he was a whore in fact he had been with another woman just before meeting her again but one time they run out of condoms and SHE tells him as long as he is clean she will go bare with him! What the hell is this woman thinking to go bareback with a guy with no physical proof that he is safe? She knew he slept around she evidenced it with her own eyes so why the hell was she risking her health on this promiscuous asshole? I seriously seriously don't understand when authors do that, this guy could have been riddled in STDs but because he said said he was "clean" she said she "trusts him" well to me that's a load of irresponsible bollocks!

It’s like nothing will ever be enough with her. I’ll always want more. She’s become the center of my universe.

UNDER HER is a sexy ”Enemies to Lovers” romance written by the talented Samantha Towle. Over the years I’ve come to love many of her books and I find myself always anxiously awaiting her next novel. The story is told mainly in the Hero’s POV, but in the few chapters that take us back to the past, we get to hear the Heroine’s voice and it helps us understand where the animosity between them comes from.

Wilder Cross is a wealthy bachelor who is about to take on the role of CEO of his parent’s successful lingerie company called Under Her. He works hard and he plays hard. Wilder loves living the life of the eternal ladies man. He’s never been in a serious relationship and there hasn’t been a time where he was even tempted to make a commitment to one woman. The perfect bubble that he lives in is about to burst when his parents announce that they’ve hired someone to Co-CEO the company with him. It only gets worse when he finds out that his Co-CEO is none other than Morgan Stickford, the woman he went to Northwestern with who openly despised him.

Wilder was a typical horny frat boy back in the day and he unwittingly was also the cause of many a heartbreak suffered by poor Morgan. Thirteen years later it would seem that she hasn’t gotten over the past and the two butt heads whenever they are in the same room together. Even though she has become somewhat of a thorn in his side, Wilder has fallen in lust with Morgan. From the moment she walks into the boardroom Morgan has become Wilder’s obsession. She’s all that he can think about and he’s losing his game with the ladies because no other woman can get Morgan out of his mind. And the more time they spend together, Wilder realizes that he might just be attracted to Morgan for more than just her physical appearance. For the first time in his life he wants to spend more than one night with a woman and it’s nearly freaking Wilder out.

 photo UnderHer.Teaser1_zps6uob7yxy.jpg

It took me a while to warm up to this story because I wasn’t crazy about Wilder. For almost the first half of the book, he seemed to be obsessed with his need to be “inside” of Morgan. I mean every other sentence he was describing how hard he was and it seemed to happen even if all Morgan did was breathe in his direction. But whenever we were brought back to their days at Northwestern and we get to experience the heartbreak that Morgan endured, I found myself wanting her to get the man she loved so much and hoped he would find out just how badly he had hurt her and would be able to make amends. When they finally give in to the passion that was building between them, well the story took off for me and I was unable to tear my eyes from my iPad. In no time at all, I was at the epilogue and wishing that the story could go on for just a little while longer.

UNDER HER is currently available and is worth a one-click as it's on sale for 99 cents!

PERSONAL OPINION BASED ON PERSON PREFERENCES

DISGUSTING male protagonist.

I should have stopped after the 1st chapter.
XXL manwhore. Only after reading the 1st chapter I assume his number of hook-ups was on the level "thousand plus/minus 1".
Due to his statement he was honest upfront with the women he slept with.

MCs knew each other in college and h had a crush on him. She caught him in bed with her roommate and after the girl said the h was fat, male protagonist did nothing but f*cked the roommate.

My personal trigger - woman sees/hears a man being intimate with OW and still wants him/gives him a chance.

She hated him since then, but the crush didn't disappear I guess.

Before meeting the h he drunk a lot and slept with OW, came late to the business meeting and had a note on his back with a very clear message from OW incl. her telephone number.
So the h clearly understood that he didn't quite change since the college.

They worked together, he lusted after her, but it didn't stop him from having sex with OW -> my reason for DNF.

Before I forget, he called the h stuck-up b*tch.
How romantic 😬😱

Not a male character I want to read about.
NOPE!

It hurts 😭, there are many books by this author I liked.

I DNF'd after about five percent after reading trusted reviews by Fre and Alex.

Authors have GOT TO STOP. In the grand scheme of things your book isn't the be all and end all. I totally understand that. But there are millions of books just like yours read by millions of women. And the number of times I see these small things has left me irritated because it's what gives power to trash like Harvey Weinstein who rape and sexually assault women.

If a woman is sexually active she's a "whore". She's slut shamed. If she's a virgin, she's preserved and pure. Or she's a prude. But creating men who have masses of experience so he knows how to pleasure a woman is appealing. This double edged sword is disgusting.

Men can be rowdy, and make sexist jokes and jokingly touch women because "boys will be boys" right? or "that's just him".

When the so called hero's you CREATE in YOUR books call women "hysterical" or their ex "CRAZY" using sexist vocab. The hero calls the heroine a "bitch" in the fucking synopsis.

How these heros are soooo "desirable", that no woman says no, and if she does there must be something wrong with HER.

Commenting on a woman's appearance by the male perspective and her fuckability.

Think about how you always create books with heroines much younger than the hero with less capital and status because it's INCONCEIVABLE that she be earning more money or God forbid have a better job.

Or how people of colour are always sub characters?

Or the "sorry I was drunk I have no idea what happened or what I did" said by heros. Then stop drinking. It's not good enough.

JUST STOP. Take a second. And think about the material you are publishing. We are trying to create a culture of change where woman don't have to feel this way. Where this isn't normal and your material ENCOURAGES this. And the simple characters in your books have more impact than you think to your readers because they should know THIS IS NOT OKAY. You are perpetrating this blatant sexism so no I'm not shocked that some men think it's okay or women accept this behaviour. Just DO better. We should all do better.

Isn't every multimillionaire a sexist, playboy, and asshole all rolled into one? Nothing is different for Wilder Cross. He grew up rich, he's about to become CEO of his parents company, and he sleeps with different woman every weekend. And lord have mercy, he is a hot one.

Being thrown in a situation that you have no control over, Wilder is about to find out that hey your new Co-CEO is a flash from the past, all grown up and hotter than ever, well hello Morgan Stickford. She's the girl that hated Wilder back in their college days. She was disgusted by the way the guy slept his way around, sickened by him sleeping with her roommate and then one of her best friends, and it doesn't just stop there. So when kind hearted, talented, and still undoubtedly having the hots for her new Co-CEO, Morgan tries to put the past in the past, her attraction behind her, and move on to making this her best business adventure yet.

Yeah right, it isn't that easy. At all.

This story is sweet, it's cute, and it definitely gives you the warm and fuzzy feels at the end. I just felt it was rushed at the end when things are pushed upon these characters, when they are tested, and when truths come out. I will say, it gives you what you want to know, but I wanted to read how it happened. Maybe that's a hint at maybe, just maybe we are gonna get more???????!!!!!!!!! Pretty please!!

What happens when the new CEO of a lingerie company comes face to face with someone from his past he’s now forced to work with? You get a lot Sexual tension DRAMA. “Under Her” was a hot office enemies to lovers romance that will leave you wishing for just a bit more.

“I’m not one of those guys who is all about the forbidden fruit and the chase. I’m not the kind of guy who wants something purely because he can’t have it. I don’t have to go after unobtainable because there’s more than enough of the unobtainable out there for me.

Wilder Cross is God’s gift to women. At least he thinks he is. Good looks, a successful career and soon to be CEO of his family’s company, Wilder knows that his life is pretty much made. Taking home a different woman every weekend and letting them know upfront that it’s only temporary is how he likes to play it. But his extracurricular weekend activities is going to come to a screeching halt when he learns that his parents has appointed a Co CEO to help him run the company. Not a bad plan right? Except that person who’s going to be working with him, is someone who’s hated him all through College.

Going to College is like a right of passage for some people. You work hard towards a degree that is going to elevate your future career, meet new people and hopefully make life long friendships, and you have fun because you’re only young once. For Morgan Stickford, getting to do all of these things is the one thing that she’s looking forward too and it doesn’t hurt that that the guys are pretty nice to look at. Especially one in particular but he’s the biggest man whore on campus. After an incident that leaves her hurt, Morgan’s hatred for Wilder became her new crush instead and from that moment, Wilder Cross became irrelevant to her.

“But it’s always the times when you’re at your happiest that things go to shit.
Because when things go up, they always have to come down.

Now thirteen years later and a completely different person, Morgan is about to be the new Co CEO with the man who left a lasting impact during her college days. But things are different now and with everything in the past, Will and Morgan have one goal in mind and that’s to take his company to the next level. Working together is not going to be easy, but the sexual tension is going to be the death of them.

I liked that this story was a bit different and Will was an outspoken upfront person from the beginning. He never steered you wrong with what his intentions were and even though I hated his man whore ways, he was very honest about everything and I respected that. My issue was that as much of a sexual chemistry that these two had, I wanted an emotional chemistry with them. I didn’t feel it and that bothered me so much. I needed to feel something for them emotional wise and it just didn’t happen for me. For the most part, I did enjoy the story and I think if you’re looking for a nice office romance, then this one is most definitely for you.

4.5 All I Need Is Her Stars!

 photo IMG_9722_zpsadzpw0nq.jpg

Wilder Cross has it all. He lives in a great place in Chicago, has wealth, is gorgeous, gets any woman he wants, & is about to take over the family business, Under Her Lingerie. His parents are retiring soon, & as an only child and the sole heir he's set to take the reins, & claim his rightful place as CEO. He loves his job & has worked hard to get to where he's at, so when his parents inform him they've hired a co-CEO to help him manage the business, he feels blindsided. They feel the male-female dynamic is one of the things that's always made the company successful. They think he needs a woman's perspective to help run the company. Not wanting to share, Wilder secretly plans to look for a way to get rid of his new partner, while pretending to go along with his parents wishes.

Wilder is shocked when he finds out his new co-CEO is Morgan Stickford, an uptight girl he knew in college. She hated him, but always intrigued him. She was always pretty, but now she's all grown up & stunning. It's been nine years since he last saw her, & he hopes she doesn't still think the worst of him.

Morgan had a huge crush on Wilder back in college. He was an overprivileged player & a total man-whore. She hoped she could work with him & not have a reaction to him. She hated how she'd always wanted him.

 photo IMG_9783_zpsgngituvz.jpg

-I've gotten really good at pretending. Pretending that I can't stand Wilder Cross. Pretending that my heart doesn't beat a little faster every time I see him.

-Why does the one woman who excites me this much have to be the one woman I can't touch?

 photo IMG_9784_zps01hyqwjj.jpg

As Wilder & Morgan work together, they really enjoy each others company. She's become all he can think about, & he's obsessed with her. He wants her & feels tied up in knots since she came back into his life. He's upset he can't have the only woman he truly craves. When they finally give in to the passion between them they both quickly become addicted. Being together feels so natural, & soon she means everything to him.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun, flirty story about a guy who gets another chance with a woman from his past. He's never settled down with one woman, but when he finds the one meant for him, he's done for. As I was reading this book, I literally couldn't put it down. It's sexy, super hot, & has a beautiful love story. Another fabulous read by Samantha Towle.

 photo IMG_9801_zpsqnynvpo5.jpg

-All of me is obsessed with her. My head and my heart. I'm crazy about her.

-Being with Morgan is like nothing I've ever felt before.

-For the first time in my life, I want something real. I want something with her.

-She's become the center of my universe.

Wilder and Morgan were students in college together but Wilder was "bewildered" as to why Morgan hated him so much. Well, he finally is going to get some answers when his parents hire her to be his Co-CEO at their family's lingerie business nine years later.

Wilder, the ultimate playboy, becomes undone at seeing Morgan again. Yes, she's grown even more beautiful than he remembers but it's her mind that does him in. He can't quit thinking about her and this is unprecedented for someone that only has sex on the weekends and one night stands at that!

description

Unfortunately, we don't really get much of an idea of what Morgan is other than the fact that she is quite smitten with him as well. However, it's hard for her to trust what he is saying because of the things he said about her in the past.

I felt a little disappointed in this story...not that it's not a good story and not that it wasn't enjoyable but just that I must've read at least 100 of these - the same office story, the same enemies to friends, just everything the same. And I know that Samantha Towle can work her magic because...Hello Jake?

However, I did like reading how much Wilder is taken by her and how she completely wins him over! The ending wasn't too shabby either.

I was not going to add this book to my goodreads because this uglyass cover screams SHAME but you know what? Fuck it lmao i didnt suffer reading this in vain.

If you look closely into this cover (and i advise you not to) you will notice that the guy 'Under her' has no dick whatsover and i think the only good thing about this book is that it gave 99.9% of guys the representation they deserve through out the cover only.

God more than half of the book was spent bragging about how many women he fucked, fucks and will be fucking in the future.... I bit disgusting if you ask me. The biggest manwhore I've ever read about. And I really didn't feel any deep connection between the characters since they apparently spent all the time only having sex.

Did not like at all and did not finish. Wilder is a complete asshole and undeserving of a HEA. I think that if this is the author's idea of a reformed bad boy story then she needs some help with her self esteem cause this guy is no woman's hero nor her equal.

Let me break it down:
h loves H in college but H calls her fat, sleeps with her friend and does more asshole stuff to her.
9 years later
H is the same except he sleeps with hot chicks only during the weekends cause he actually works during the week.
h joins the company as co - CEO and apparently, she is so hot H's cock becomes hard.(but he sleeps with another woman but that is not enough for his hard on..)
H meets h for the first time after fucking her future PA (which in his defense he did not know, but still)
H thinks she is so hot....
H tries to get rid of her because...I don't remember cause it was that foolish
H thinks h is hot and whoops another hard on...(SURPRISE)
H finally fucks h because duh she is so hot!
H does a HUGE ASSHOLE thing
H begs forgiveness
and h I have no words..she literally had no personality other than the fact she was SO HOT!!!
THE END
(now you see why i gave it 1 star)

This is a enemies to lovers story in a round about way. A college crush that is hurtful and unrequited and fast forwards to 9 years later. An office romance with a past.

This story was told from the male POV. I will say that I enjoyed that. Wilder is soon to be CEO of his parent's lingerie company. He is privileged, loves to work hard, loves to play even harder and basically hooks with with a different girl every weekend. Enter Morgan Stickford, brought in as Co-CEO to give Wilder the woman POV viewpoint. They went to college together but it wasn't amicable. But when Wilder sees Morgan again, it's instant lust. We also get the background to their rocky relationship in college from a few flashbacks. I was hoping that Morgan would have confronted Wilder about his past ways sooner rather than at the end of the story. It might have created a more deeper connection to the characters because of their shared past.

So in all, this is a sweet story that ends in a HEA. There is a moment of angst that ends as rapidly as it starts. This is all Wilder lusting after Morgan until they finally give in to one another. They had a good banter between them, the male POV was enjoyable, and the office story setting was cute. A quick enjoyable read in all!!

Wilder and Morgan went to College together - that was 9 years ago. And Morgan kinda hated Wilder. At first she had a huge crush on him, but then she found out what a man-whore he really was and that he would never date anyone over a size four!
Now - all grown up and professionals - they find themselves as co-CEOs of Wilder's parent's lingerie company!
Morgan's crush never went away completely. And Wilder is equally attracted!
But of course it's not as easy as boy-meets-girl-again-insta-happily-ever-after!
Wilder has to fight for his HEA!!!!

Under Her by Samantha Towle ~ 4.5 Stars

Squeeze! I so LOVE this book. This enemies to lovers/second chance romance is just adorable and cute. Wilder and Morgan have known each other since college. Back then Wilder was a man-whore - bedding the whole female population of Northwestern. He is cocky, rude and a butthead. Morgan had a crush on Wilder in college but he hurt her feelings badly. A decade later, Wilders’ parents decide to hire a co-CEO to help run their lingerie company. Wilder is in for a surprise because guess who will be working side by side with him? YUP! You got it! Except Morgan does not look like anything Wilder remembers. Can you smell the trouble?

I like Wilder’s character – funny, confident, knows what he wants and went after it kind of guy. The thing that bothers me about Wilder though is that he is portrayed as a man-whore when he is young and full of hormones which I understand, but the older version of Wilder is still a bit the same. Wilder is still making his way through Chicago only he makes it known to the women his intentions upfront. I was hoping Wilder had a good reason for treating Morgan badly in college (like he was jealous, drunk or high, or something) but I was disappointed he did it intentionally. However, I can see that Wilder does make an effort to get to know Morgan better now. He wants to woo her instead of trying to jump her bones right away. Wilder redeems himself and is quite swoony at the end. I like that Wilder is fun, witty and hardworking. He has a confident and maybe a bit overinflated ego but I like his honesty. I adore Morgan. She is smart, tenacious, works hard and becomes successful all on her own. She is also sweet, easy to forgive, and is gorgeous inside and out. These two have amazing chemistry and I think they complement each other well.

Enemies-to-lovers romance is one of my favorites. I enjoyed the angst and the push and pull relationship between the two characters. They definitely know how to burn up the sheets in the bedroom - SCORCHING HOT and passionate romance. I also enjoyed the fun and entertaining plot with just a bit of drama which is perfect for me. Over all, Under Her is entertaining, funny, sexy, and romantic. I miss Samantha Towle’s writing and Under Her just hit the spot for me.

If there is one thing that Morgan dislikes about some of the guys in college, it is the manwhoring players who seem to make a game out of sleeping with every girl on campus. Of course, they are more selective than that, preferring the slimmer, more attractive girls. When Morgan first meets Wilder Cross, she develops a huge crush on him, only to have it diminished when he turns out to be just like all the guys she loathes. Another player.

That crush does not completely go away though and over the years at college, she manages to channel it into hate towards him. Wilder has no idea why this girl hates him so much and doesn’t really dwell on it, he just steers clear of her as much as possible. She is just a stuck up study nerd.

Therefore, a few years later when Wilder’s parents are about to retire, making him CEO of their company Under Her he is blindsided by them. He will be co-CEOing the business with a woman they have just employed, Morgan. Wilder is not happy about this new development but has to accept it. His first meeting with Morgan does not goes as planned but it’s fair to say that he is knocked flat on his arse when he sees her.

Morgan is stunning, not only that but she is smart and passionate about her job. These two are working closely together everyday and it’s a daily battle for Wilder to fight his attraction to her. To be fair, Morgan is still crushing on him too but her body insecurites are pushing back against any thoughts of acting on her impulses. He can’t really want to be with her, she must be reading into it right?

Wilder is falling for Morgan and has no idea what to do about it. Crossing that line would not only be breaking his own policy of sleeping with an employee but his parents would have his guts if they found out. A slight conundrum then… However, when they go on a overseas business trip together, everything changes and now they can’t keep their hands off each other.

“So, where were we before I went to the bathroom?” Her voice sounds husky with sex. I tip my cock in her direction. “You were about to climb up on here and give me the ride of my life.” She lifts her hand, revealing a condom in it. “Well then, we’d better saddle you up, cowboy.”

Is Wilder now a changed man? The man who doesn’t like to ride the same rollercoaster twice now seems to have a season pass ride to the same one – Morgan (sorry Morgan, I meant that in the nicest way). This is a young college girl crush come true for Morgan, the guy she has always wanted, wants her. However, when a business deal goes sour the old Wilder reveals itself to Morgan and has her questioning whether she actually even knows him at all.

This was a fun, weekend read for me. Romantic, sweet and easy to get lost in.

A winned. A WIlder winner. Tye story is told mostly from Wilder POV. And boy he is hilarious. No holding back laugh out loud. Wilder is a jerk. A total manwhore. He has no shame about it. I love him. When he met Morgan as his co CEO, his world turned upside down.

I always love miss Towle works. But this book is the best. Hilarious. I am sure miss Towle has a good time writting it.

I was right - I ended up rooting for them NOT to get together *sigh*

I was supposed to write a full review/rant of this but after a few days I simmered down, so it'll just be a few points of what exactly didn't work in this book (clue: EVERYTHING lol).

1) I am so so tired of this obnoxious "I-can-get-as-much-ass-as-I-want" playboy vibe - especially since it was basically the gist of Wilder's character, like he literally had nothing else going on for him in the personality department. Prime example: in the span of approximately 7 pages he spewed all of this in his inner monologue:

"...wants to fuck me. Of course she does. I'm hot and rich as fuck."

"I sell underwear. Sexy-as-fuck underwear. The very thing that I love to peel off a woman's body right before I screw her senseless."

"How the hell people can drink lukewarm coffee is beyond me. The hotter, the better. Just how I like my women."

"I fucking love my job, but weekends are reserved solely for playtime, and I love playing."

"...it would be grossly unfair to the women of Chicago if I took myself off the market. My dick is just too awesome to keep to one woman."

*please excuse me for a quick ophthalmologist visit, I sprained something by rolling my eyes excessively*

I want you to understand - this was only the first 7 pages. It's like the author didn't know what kind of person Wilder was supposed to be so she just slapped "rich" + "hot" + "womanizer" with some minor mentions of "cares about his job" on him and thought that would make do.

Well, it didn't. Up to the very last page, all I knew of Wilder was that he's a narcissistic women-objectifying asshole who blames everything and everyone else for consequences of his own actions and a man whom I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

2) The whole book, apart from three flashbacks chapters that were in Morgan's (female love interest and the woman to convert Wilder's too awesome not to share dick to monogamy - that was pretty much her only role in this story, if I'm being honest) POV, was written in Wilder's POV. Given what I just mentioned above, you can imagine how tiring it was. The only thing that kind of amazed me was that even with the whole book dedicated to him, I still knew nothing of his character besides the rich playboy thing. No matter how many pages of POV he got, there was no warming up to him. Not with the things the author made spill out of his mind:

"My mouth feels as dusty as Morgan Stickford's pussy probably was in college."

3) The flashbacks made me care for Morgan to some extent and I honestly felt for her with all that she went through - unrequited (seemingly) crush, body-shaming, being surrounded by a bunch of rich assholes who don't know the meaning of words "hard work" and "stipend". But that fell flat when I didn't know any of her thoughts concerning current narrative. Morgan was just...there.

4) Writing - oh boi. From highly creative and poetic comparisons like "Like a cattle prod to the spine, sparking my dick to life" to the author's misunderstanding of word meanings (e.g. confusing "sadistic" and "masochistic"), this was just a 213-page long anti-lesson in how to English.

5) The romance - I didn't feel it. Like I said, I wished Morgan WOULD NOT get together with Wilder to the very end. And again, please allow me to provide you with some quotes on what counts as romance in Wilder's head:

"But then it's not Morgan's head that I want to into. I just want in her panties. Charmer - that, I am. And my plan today is to show her what a fucking awesome guy I really am, and then after spending all day around my awesomeness, Morgan will realize that she needs to be fucked by me immediately."

"I'll hold off for as long as possible before I stick my moves on her. And then stick it in her."

Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, as you can read with your own eyes, the romance indeed is not dead.

6) The conflict was ridiculous and completely predictable as well as another opportunity for Wilder to show what an utter asshole he is. When he finally saw the error of his ways, Morgan forgave him in like 3 seconds. For a little moment there, when she said to him something along the lines of "I don't think I can trust you with my feelings again", I thought this would be resolved decently with Wilder actually making amends and facing the consequences of what he'd said and done AT LEAST FUCKING ONCE IN HIS LIFE.

But no. It basically went like:

M: I can't trust you anymore.
W: Lemme give you the whole company, you'll be the only CEO (they were co-CEOs before)
M: Ok, I can trust you and love you now.

*EYE ROLL EYE ROLL EYE ROLL EYE ROLL EYE ROLL EYE ROLL EYE ROLL*

7) Safety - at the beginning of the story, Wilder gets trashed in a bar and sleeps with someone (woman who later will be hired as Morgan's PA because DRAMA). In the morning, he doesn't know where he is, how he got there, how it even happened that he had sex with this woman. So despite his inner thoughts of "never gone without a condom before", I was flabbergasted when he assured Morgan that he's clean when they decided to have sex without one. Because if you can't remember anything about the night before, how can you remember if you used protection???

I'm???

He pretty much lied to her???!

ABOUT SAFE SEX.

Anyway, I will leave it a that and just say this to sum up - do yourself a favour and don't go anywhere near this one.

I loved this book. It was so easy to read i couldn't put it down once I got started. I was dying to read this book when I seen the cover the cover is hot. The story is about Wilder (I just luv his name it suits him) and Morgan. Wilder is living life to the max he works hard and plays harder. Wilder works for Under Her lingerie he is goin to be taking over the company from his mum and dad. He has work from them from college and he has worked his way up nothing was handed to him or made easy. He really enjoyed his job and was looking forward to taking over until his mum dropped a bomb on him. She well they his mum and dad want to bring in a Co CEO. As you can imagine this didn't go down well and when he found out who it was goin to be things were gong to get worst.

Morgan is a great woman she has always worked hard to do well with anything she has done. Morgan always works hard. When she gets a chance to be the Co CEO at Under Her she jumps at the chance. There was also the chance to see Wilder Cross again it has been maybe 13 years since she had seen him and she wanted to know if she still felt the way she did so that time ago. Even though things didn't really go smooth for them back then.

This story was really good I enjoyed it a lot. It had great humour there were a few happy and sad moments. There were also times where I wasn't happy with Wilder younger and older but he is just a typically man. I really liked Morgan's characters and the parts from her pov were great. But I did like that this was told from Wilder's pov i really like a man's pov I just love getting into there heads. Wilder was just crazy the things he would think was ok that just wasnt. It's was hard to stay angry with him though he's very hot, funny, cocky and charming. What's not to like!

Overall it was a great book I would highly recommend it. I would love more from Wilder's friends Coop is brilliant but there is something about him I need more from him. Then there was Dom he seemed different from Wilder and Coop. So I would really like more from these characters if that's ok haha. But seriously its a great book there's nothing bad that I can say about it.

So disappointing...

I think I liked almost every book I've read by Samantha Towle...until this one. Especially since I'm reading this right after reading Breaking Hollywood, which I loved. It almost feels like a different author penned this one.
I appreciate the fact that she wrote a whole book from the male main character's POV, but sadly the results are disastrous. Usually when we read about a guy that acts like a jerk, and we get an insight into his mind, there's usually a motive behind his actions to justify them. Here however, when we get Wilder's thoughts, there's no reason for him to act the way he does, and that makes him completely unattractive.
She managed to create one of the most unlikable characters I've read. Wilder Cross is a pig. He's an incredibly shallow, selfcententered, arrogant, jerk, who has the thought process of a hormonal high school kid. And he's clueless about it. He really thinks he's awesome. He only says so about 50 times throughout the book. I can't think of one scene where I liked him. All he did was think about sex, who he was going to do, how and when, and who he had done in the past, which seems to be every female he came into contact with. It was ridiculous. He apparently has had sex with at least one female at every place he went. Or so it seemed, because he couldn't even remember, but was just almost positive he did... Ugh.
As for our heroine Morgan Stickford... she was your typical doormat. I think the fact that we didn't get her thoughts didn't help her case. The only times we get her POV was from the few flashbacks to college where she met Wilder, and that was a disaster. He was a complete jerk to her time and time again, and although she said she hated him, she didn't, and just had this pathetic unrequited puppy love for him, and sadly that didn't change in the present. It really was sad.
I know they got their HEA, but quite frankly I was hoping she would wake up one day and realize she could do better, but I guess she didn't because she couldn't. She had self-esteem issues, clearly, and no spine to hold her up.
Anyway, I just didn't enjoy this one and it's a shame, because I really like Samantha Towle's books.

This one had a lot of potential but kinda failed in the execution so it was a little underwhelming. The hero was a jerk and the book is mostly told in his POV (there’s some heroine POV but it’s only on flashbacks) so it’s really hard for me to figure out how she really felt. But she forgives him to fast and he doesn’t get to grovel enough after treating her like crap. Joe Arden is a great narrator though.

Oh how I have missed reading Samantha Towle's books. I haven't read anything by her since The Mighty Storm (her first book) and don't ask me - cause I can't tell you. I will just blame my ungodly long TBR list. But I am so glad that I was given an opportunity to read Under Her.

Under Her is very hilarious contemporary romance. Wilder has the whit and humor I love and that balances out his assholeish ways. But Morgan has no problems standing right up to him and dishing it out as well.

Morgan and Wilder went to the same college but never ran in the same circles. As kids, they both made assumptions about each other and now that they have to run the his family' company together. I won't give anything away except Wilder gets more than he anticipates from Morgan.

Morgan is no longer her mousey self she was back in college. All of her hard work has paid off and she's now in the position to prove that. Morgan has chosen to not live in the past and give Wilder a new slate to start on. But when he proves that his womanizing ways are still there, it's hard for her to see anything past that, both in and out of the office.

Samantha once again wrote some damn entertaining and intriguing characters. Even though Wilder came across as a huge dick at times, his overall personality just won me over. It's impossible not fall for his charm, especially once he realizes he wants Morgan and for more than just one night in bed. Morgan - I love her tenacity and how she has no problem putting Wilder in his place. She definitely makes him work for it, let me tell you.

Overall, I really enjoyed Wilder and Morgan's wild journey (ha, I am so corny). Only small gripe was Morgan's insistence on not talking about the past, but used the past against him in ways. Other than that, I really loved how it all panned out and flowed perfectly.
