NOAH
Navy SEAL Noah Coleman knows how to do two things well: underwater demolition and hand-to-hand combat. So renewing his enlistment is a no-brainer until he receives a message about his cousin’s aggressive terminal cancer. A quick trip home confirms the worst, which means his niece Bella will become his responsibility.
Elementary school guidance counselor Teagan Shaw has known Bella since her son announced the two were best friends. The shy little girl is also on Teagan’s radar because of Bella’s early signs of gifted aptitude. But Teagan is more concerned about the military man thrust into the role of single parent.
While Noah adjusts to civilian life and Eagle’s Ridge, he and Teagan begin forging a friendship. But Teagan has a secret, a shadowy figure from her past who is intent on returning to torment her.

Fans voted her onto Amazon's Top Picks for Debut Romance Authors in 2013, and her debut Titan series was both a #1 romantic suspense and #1 military romance bestseller.
Each Titan and Delta book can be read as a standalone (except for Sweet Girl), but readers will likely best enjoy the series in order. The Only series must be read in order.

I was looking forward to this book as something a little different from Cristin Harber. Though Noah is a former Navy SEAL, his service couldn’t prepare him for his biggest challenge yet: raising his 5 year old niece.
I often found myself smiling as I read this, both because Noah’s reactions to his new situation were entertaining and because the whole setting was just so sweet. He is over his head, having been away for most of Bella’s life. If it weren’t for video calls, he wouldn’t know nearly as much about his niece as he does, nor would she know who he was. But now he’s needed at home, and his service commitment is up, so he’s returning home where he’s needed most. His biggest problem is that he doesn’t know what a 5 year old needs, so it’s a good thing his cousin’s best friend is available to help with the transition.
Teagan has an inside track into what Bella needs, not just because she is a mother herself, but that she is the mother of Bella’s best friend and was good friends with Bella’s mom. It’s a good thing Teagan is so willing to help, because Noah lands himself in several tight spots over the first few days. As she helps Noah and Bella settle into their new normal, she finds she likes having someone else to lean on to help with her own son as well.
There is an element of suspense and danger, as Teagan is hiding a secret from her past that is back to cause trouble. I enjoyed the added tension as she starts to realize what is going on, but also loved the opportunities is afforded Teagan and Noah to get closer.
Bella and Will are such sweet additions to the story lines. I loved the friendship they have together, and the way they lighten the mood so many times. Bella has been through a lot recently, and her resilience and brilliance keep her precocious and tenderhearted throughout. Their innocence and energy, in hindsight, added another element of fun to the storyline.
This was a departure (slightly) from Cristin’s Titan and Delta series. There is a crossover character who makes appearances as a side character, but the storyline and feel of Noah is completely different. I hadn’t fully realized that Noah would be part of a collection of stories about soldiers (mostly because Cristin is on my list of always read authors), and the references to a few other characters in the collection has me curious about their stories as well.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Is that enough of a review for Noah to convince you to read it?
No?
How about hot AF Navy SEAL takes guardianship of his cousin’s five-year-old daughter and let the cuteness factor win you over in a blink of an eye?
Seriously. All it took for me was the very beginning where Noah planned out exactly how things were going to go with the adorable little Bella and I couldn’t put it down.
I adored Noah from the start—loved how he adjusted pretty damn quick when he realized that there is no concrete, fail safe plan when it comes to raising a child. His interactions with Bella were enough to make the grumpiest of people smile and laugh. I loved how much he tried and succeeded in getting through each day while figuring out how to raise a smart, tenacious little girl. And I especially loved how he didn’t hesitate to ask for help when he needed to!
Now, Teagan, on the other hand, should have been asking for help a heck of a lot sooner. Sure, she’s doing an amazing job raising her son alone, but sometimes it’s okay to lean on others when necessary. Especially when leaning on hard, broad, sexy shoulders—Noah’s shoulders for instance. But when she finally does, whoa, it’s intense . . .
I felt the intensity of the attraction between Noah and Teagan. Their amazing heat simmered through their words and actions. And I loved how quickly they fell for each other, but that they also considered the feelings of the kids involved, that they didn’t overwhelm them with their burgeoning relationship.
Noah is another excellent addition to the amazing 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series, and I hate knowing there’s just one more book. I really don’t want it to end! ~ Missy, 5 stars
Noah by Cristin Harber is a sweet and heartwarming read.
After reading the previous books in the series I was excited to read Noah's story. Real life had taken a big turn for Noah and it was going to take time to find a balance between taking care of his niece and juggling a new business. But with the help of Teagan and her beautiful little boy life was going to be OK.
I enjoyed watching Noah and Teagan move from friends to lovers. They took the time getting to know each other, support each other and then open their hearts to each other. Noah, Teagan and the kids touched my heart with their story, and after everything they'd been through they truly deserved their happily ever after.
Noah is a wonderful addition to the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series, each book has been a great read and I highly recommend them all!
5 Star Review of Noah (7 Brides For 7 Soldiers #6) by Cristin Harber This book packs an emotional punch from the first page. Once a Seal always a Seal, or so Noah Coleman has always believed; that is until tragedy and an unexpected twist changes the course of his life forever. When Noah’s cousin Lainey is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he finds out that she wants him to raise her daughter Bella, who will be an orphan once her mother dies. Elementary school guidance councillor Teagan Shaw was not only a friend of Lainey’s but is the mother of Bella’s best friend Will. She loves Bella as if she were her own and has been helping look after her since Lainey died whilst Noah was on deployment. Still reeling from Lainey’s death, Noah has returned to raise Bella and this is where the fun begins. When he meets Teagan and Will, he sees in them the love and friendship that they both have for Bella and when Teagan comes to his rescue with dinner on night one, he realises just how out of his depth and for a Navy Seal that is not acceptable. He has no idea how to raise a 5 year old, let alone one who is so gifted. Even though he has researched parenting blogs, reality still crashes in and he wonders if he can do this. Teagan is wary of Noah’s abilities to care for Bella so their initial meeting is stilted. Despite themselves Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other. Will they act on the mutual chemistry which seems to sizzle when they are together, or will they deny the obvious? The interaction between Noah and Bella touched my heart as well as the beautiful friendship that Bella has with Will which was absolutely heart warming. This was an emotional read, bringing me to tears on occasion. The pain at coming to terms with both his and Bella’s loss of Lainey was palpable. Well written, this is a story that will draw you in and keep you glued until the end.
I loved Noah he is one AWESOME uncle. When it came time to come home and take care of his niece Bella, he dropped everything and did just that. He is so out of his comfort zone yet he is willing to learn. Cristin Harber had me laughing at some of the things Noah did trying to take care of Bella, needless to say he went through a lot of growing pains. Teagan is very leery about Noah taking care of Bella and offers to help him however she can. In my opinion Cristin Harber did a good job of portraying Noah's struggles with adapting to civilian life and with figuring out raising Bella. I thought Cristin Harber did a good job of throwing in suspense into the mix. The romance there and how it grew. I loved this book, Cristin Harber did not disappoint me. In my opinion this book was the best in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers Series.
This is the 6th book in this set and I have loved each of them more than the next. We see some of Noah in the earlier books and know that he has stepped up to become guardian to his cousin/sister 's child after she dies. I would have picked this book up even if it wasn't part of this series. Single dad stories get me every time. Bumbling, tough guys thrust in to single parenthood and I am hooked.
Teagan was friends with Bella's mom. Bella and Teagan's son are best friends much like Noah and his cousin were. So understandably, Teagan is super protective of Bella. This Mama Bear buts up against Noah a few too may times before they decide it's better if they are friends than enemies. Like minded souls often find comfort in knowing they aren't alone. Teagan and Noah let the sparks fly.
i appreciated the honesty between these two. Both admit they are on a new playing field not only with parenthood but with the whole idea of a relationship. Loved the humor around trying to be intimate with two little persons hanging around. I was happy to see some of the group of friends helping Noah out when he needed it.
A little suspense in this one. Great addition to the series. Only one more to go. I will be sad to see this group of friends head off to do their own thing without us peeking at their lives.
*Complimentary copy provided for an honest review.
As any good SEAL does, Noah Coleman quietly infiltrated my heart and captured it completely!! I can't tell you how many times this man just breathing made me swoon and fall harder in love with him!! And if his mere breathing presence did that for me -- just imagine what happens when he's being all protective, confident, alpha male!!
Cristin Harber writes stories that just work for me - and Noah and Teagan (and Will and Bella)'s story continues in the same manner as expected: I can't wait to dive in, and I don't want to leave!
Noah struggles to find how to make his calling work with his new reality - and comes up with a plan and team to make it happen (like a SEAL would!). Teagan makes me want to be a better mom, friend, encourager, and listener. Put the two of them together with the love they have for their kids and things grow and explode beautifully! Then there's the sweetness that's Bella and Will -- those kids simply melted my heart!
This is a fun, sweet, cute, and just happy-feel-good kinda story with a touch of suspense and swoony-man-doing-his-protection-calling-well kinda book that pulled me in and made me want to start all over at the beginning just because I could. You don't want to miss this!
I can’t even tell you how nervous I was about reading Noah. Cristin Harber is a favorite author of mine - probably in the top five - so there was no doubt I was going to read this addition to the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series (FYI...we’re six books in, and not a single bride has been seen for ANY of these soldiers!). However, I’m a fan of several of the other authors who have contributed to the series, and I’d have to say I’ve yet to be wowed by any of them. It’s left me wondering if this type of series puts the authors “in a box” and isn’t conducive to them writing their best stories. So yeah, I was nervous about how I was going to like this book…
There are three things I love about Cristin Harber: her distinct writing style, the action-packed stories, and her macho, manly heros. This book was very different from anything else she’s written with all three, but it was still very good.
Noah Coleman has retired from the military and has returned home to Eagle’s Ridge to raise his cousin Lainey’s daughter. They were close in age and very close growing up, so when Lainey dies from cancer, it was like losing a twin sister. When Lainey named Noah as the guardian for her five year old daughter Bella, he didn’t hesitate - even though that meant he’d constantly be in fish out of water-type situations all the time. Those situations were cute, and charming, and made me love Noah and Bella!
Luckily for Noah, Teagan Shaw is there to help him out. As a close friend of Lainey’s and the mother of Bella’s best friend, they quickly forge a friendship. Which they try to keep as just a friendship. Of course, it doesn’t stay that way for long.
As I said, this book is very different from Ms. Harber’s Titan series books (if you like the military/suspense/romance genre, I highly recommend them!). The writing doesn’t have the usual quick phrasing, acerbic wit, and flow her other books are written with. There isn’t a whole lot of suspense or action. What is there was solved quickly and without the usual dramatics. Noah also wasn’t the usual majorly macho military man. In fact, he says some really cheesy lines - but they manage to come off as sweet and kinda swoony! But what was still there is the hero who finds the woman he’s supposed to be with and is then unapologetic about it. No hemming or hawing, no second-guessing. He’s all in and goes for it wholeheartedly. And this time, the hero was also the same way for a totally cute little girl!
This has been my favorite book of the series. I’m not sure if it’s because of my admittedly biased opinion for the author, or because this really was the best written book and best story of them all. I just know I really liked the story, the characters, and the writing. And I’m SO thankful I wasn’t disappointed with a Cristin Harber book!
Noah Coleman is an ex Navy SEAL who is taking on his most intimidating assignment...parenting his five year old gifted niece after her mothers death. He has given up his career, moved home, taken over a garage, and entered parenthood. He has always been strong, intelligent, focused, and good in a crisis, but now his head is spinning.
Teagan Shaw is the school counselor, but also the mother of his niece's best friend. She is there to support and guide him. But she is also attractive, smart, funny, and caring. Her history with men has made her guarded and independent.
They both feel the attraction and pull, but know it is wrong due to circumstances, obligations, and the kids. He is effectively friend-zoned. But when danger seems to start lurking in the background, his protective nature cannot be tamed. He is determined to make sure that Teagan and her son are safe. And the more time they are together, the more it is obvious that they want to be more than friends.
This is the story of two people building a new life out of broken pieces. They are bonded in loss, but now tied with their kids. And now they are seeing that they both maybe have a chance at a more fulfilling future. But first Noah has some business to take care of to make sure that their small town life remains safe.
This book is more novel length than novella, and is sweet, romantic, swoony, and a bit suspenseful. I only read this one book out of the Seven Brides for Seven Soldiers series, but it was easy to read as a stand-alone. But with that being said, I did enjoy the side characters of Adam, Ford, Ryder, Wyatt, and Zane and hearing a bit about their stories. And there was a little Titan tidbit thrown in as well. The kids, Bella and Will, were just adorable and made this a cute and fun family love story.
Noah. a former Navy SEAL, jumps headfirst into an unexpected guardianship for his five-year-old niece after doing extensive research on "mommy blogs" even though "there's a woefully inadequate amount of advice out there from the male and military perspective" and when the websites contradict each other, he just picks the option with the "most agreeable commenters then proceeded to outline his own crash course in Parenting 101." Seriously, how can you not root for this guy?
Even though Teagan Shaw--Bella's mother's BFF and elementary school guidance counselor--has initial reservations about the idea of Noah taking responsibility for the little girl that is her own son's best friends, she quickly sees that he has the little girl's best interests at heart, even if he needs more than a little non-virtual help.
It doesn't hurt that their chemistry is off the charts, either...though they try to keep things "just friendly" you know that isn't going to last. Throw in a bit of a romantic suspense plot element thanks to her what's-lower-than-deadbeat? ex, and these two didn't have a chance keeping their distance.
Noah is the sixth book in a seven book series written by seven different authors and as such works just fine as a standalone. It's a small town, so you do see a bit of some of the other series characters (just enough to pique your interest, of course!) but you don't have to have read their books (yet) to enjoy this one.
Rating: 4 stars / A-
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
WOW! This is an intriguing story. It starts out sad that Noah comes back after his cousin dies. Bella is such a sweetheart. Noah meets Teagan and as it goes, sparks fly. Before long the 2 fall in love with each other. I love the ending where Bella and Will think they are the matchmakers. Those two kids are totally adorable. The best scene was the blender scene. I am happy that all four found their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Cristin! I would recommend this book!
Noah has given up his career as a Navy SEAL to raise his five year old niece Becca. Having no experience with children is a challenge of its own which is further compounded as he adjusts to a new career and civilian life.
Teagan is not only the school counselor she was also Becca’s mother’s best friend and Becca and her son Will are best friends. She is willing to do whatever is necessary to ease the transition for both Becca and Noah.
They have an instant attraction however with her history in men as well as their connection regarding Becca she knows for the sake of their children friends is all they can ever be. Becca helps Noah adjust to being a single parent but when Teagan’s past resurfaces he is no about to let her face the danger alone and it becomes a game changer.
I liked both these characters as their resilience showed through as no matter what life threw at them they overcame it. The connection and chemistry between Noah and Teagan was deep and the kids were cute as could be. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
While this should be the love story between Noah and Teagan, the tow kids Bella and Will steal the show. Single dad and single mom romance at its best. I truly enjoyed watching this alpha military man break away from the norm and care for his deceased cousin's daughter. It takes a strong man to yield a glittery wand. So enjoyable I read it in one sitting. Another great read in the series.
This was the perfect addition to this series!!! While there were tears shed, seeing Noah and Teagan find their HEA was awesome. This book had the perfect amount of suspense, and I loved how much the kids played a role in this book. A great read that I would definitely recommend!!!
Cristin Harber is an excellent writer; but..... this book fell flat on its backside. Bummer as it was the one book out of the series I was really looking forward to reading. The story just didn’t come together & then just made no sense.
This book pulled at my heart strings on the first page. Noah is a man of his word and a man of action, anything can be done if you have a plan. He learns quickly that 5 year old gifted little girls dont necessarily lend themselves to plans.
This book is book 6 in the Seven Brides for Seven Soldiers series. Each book is written by a different author. It absolutely can be read as a standalone book. In fact, it's the only one of the series that I've read, and while I did find I wanted to learn everyone's story, I didn't feel like I had missed out on any important details in order to really follow this story.
I love Cristin’s Titan series. I've read them all. This book is very different from those books, so I hesitated momentarily on whether to read this or not. But hey… I really like her writing and had a hunch I wouldn't be disappointed. I don't get to say this often so I'll say it now… I was right!!! I was NOT disappointed!
This book is set in the small town of Eagle's Ridge. And it's just like any small town you'd imagine. Gossip abounds, and each time a story is passed around, it grows and grows. But tragedy has struck, so Noah returns to civilian life, and to his hometown, to raise his cousin's daughter after her untimely death. There he meets single mom, and guidance counselor, Teagan and they form a fast friendship…one that's full of undeniable chemistry. When her past comes back to haunt her, Noah steps up to make sure she and her son are safe.
While the story begins on a hauntingly sad note, it’s actually quite lighthearted in some parts, unlike her Titan series. There are fun, funny, quirky characters that make up this town and you can’t help but fall in love with all the characters. Except for the evil ones. The relationship between Noah and Teagan is intense, but at the same time, they move a bit slow (compared to Titan novels), and that was a refreshing change of pace. It’s also got the suspense that keeps you turning the pages to see how it all ends.
This book is perfect for those that love contemporary romance but aren't really a fan of military romance that Cristin is known for. However, Cristin’s Titan fans will be happy to know that her writing is just as great in this book as it is in her Titan books.
NICUnurse’s rating: I'm going to give this book a 4.75 star rating. The writing was very good, the characters relatable and likable (except for the villains who are hateable like they should be!). The story moved along very well, and it left you with just enough information on all the town's characters that I want to read all seven books now!
Noah has come home to Eagle's Ridge to become his "niece" Bella's guardian. Giving up his career as a Navy SEAL to become a single parent, Noah is a man with a plan. Several plans. He's Googled, asked for Mom advice all over the world, read Mommy blogs, books and anything else he thinks will help. But what everyone who is a parent knows, no amount of planning will help. Especially with precocious Bella in the mix. Noah meets Teagan, mom of Bella's best friend Will and realizes she's a great resource. It doesn't take him long to know she's going to mean a lot more to him. This is a funny, sweet, endearing story of a man creating a new life. He has a huge heart and sincere empathy, it's easy to see why Lainey, Bella's late mom, picked him for Bella's guardian. Teagan is a school counselor, a single mom whose ex-husband is quite the scoundrel. She's conscientious, helpful and loving. This is a terrific story of life changing experiences, small town hilarity and heartfelt community involvement. Did Noah really burn down his house his first day home? It's true his SEAL training makes a serious difference in all their lives. A story with heart, love and delightful people. I loved Noah, Teagan, Bella and Will, along with all the quirky personalities in Eagle's Ridge.
This was an amazing book in this special series of 7 Soldiers with Noah leaving the Seals to raise his best friend in the world, his cousin Lainey's daughter Bella. Lainey died from cancer and left him with her pride and joy, Bella because her husband had died earlier and knew he would love her. Lainey's best friend Teagon had a son Will that Bella loved like a brother. From the moment Noah met her he felt a special connection as did she. They moved cautiously in the beginning because of the kids but that did not last long because they were so attracted to each other. Teagon was divorced and her husband was never interested in their son so when he showed up out of the blue she knew he was up to no good. It was very suspenseful and exciting when Noah saved her and Will from some evil men using his Seal skills to save the woman he loved. This was an amazing love story as Noah and Bella became a loving family with Teagon and Will. The funny part was these two precocious children plotted to get Noah and Teagon together so they could be like Lainey and Noah were growing up. This was a fantastic story and I cannot wait to read the next book in this multi author series.
"I'm going to kiss you on one condition." "What's that?" "That neither of us will be sorry." "Promise."
I have absolutely adored this series!! Each book draws you in and you just can't leave!! This one is no different. I have been a fan of Cristin Harber for a long time. When I found out she had a book in this series I was so excited! I loved Noah's story. So heartbreaking but he rose to the task like the hero he is.
Navy Seal, Noah Coleman was ready to re-up when a family tragedy has him returning to his home town of Eagle's Ridge. Now the legal guardian of his niece, Bella, he finds himself in a situation he doesn't know how to handle. A first for him. Between trying to learn Bella's schedule and needs, and nearly burning the house down, he thinks this just might be harder than BUDs training. Thanks to the pretty school guidance counselor, Teagan Shaw, he just might make it through this new adventure alive. Teagan has been like a second mom to Bella and knows the drill. She's also captured his attention in ways he's never felt before. But, when her past puts them all in danger, can he protect everyone he loves?
Teagan Shaw has been burned before. Her treasure hunter of an ex-husband left her high and dry and shows no interest in knowing his son. She's not looking for a man or any relationship for that matter. Until she meets Noah. She feels an instant attraction and it's clear to her that he is completely lost when it comes to Bella. More than happy to help him get settled in and show him the ropes, she finds that the more time she spends with him, the more she's drawn to him. He makes her feel safe and beautiful. When her past comes back to cause trouble and brings danger to her doorstep, can she turn to Noah for help?
This story was so good! As if being a Navy Seal wasn't sexy enough, throw in taking on the responsibility of fatherhood to a sassy, smarter-than-you, six year old, and I just melted!! I would highly recommend this one!
Noah and Teagans story was beautiful because it wasn't just about them, but Bella and Will.
Noah has had to leave the SEAL because his cousin/ best friend aneore like a sister Lainey got cancer and passed away. Leaving guardianship with Noah. Noah does not hesitate to take responsibility of Bella who is A smart 5 year old. Noah is a planner so this territory is new for him and he is unsure how to go about this, but thanks to Lainey's best friend Teagan and her son Will help Noah in accomplishing this. There is nothing wrong with asking for help.
Noah's and Teagans bond and chemistry sparks from set go. They both help each other out in finding there place and being comfortable with them selves and each other. The best part is in their developing relationship not once do they forget the kids which is really nice.
This is an amazing story with great friends, local people and nosy match makers and you can't go wrong.
Life is almost like a puzzle, working together to form a mosaic!
Noah is a Navy SEAL and after returning from an overseas op he receives word, from his cousin and best friend, Lainey that she is sick and needs him to look after her daughter Bella. Noah leaves the SEALS and moves into Lainey’s house so that Bella is in a familiar environment but every blog he has read, has not prepared him for parenting! Teagan is thankfully there to help him but their friendship evolves into more. Unfortunately, Teagan’s ex returns to town and causes problems that none of them saw coming.
Loved Noah and his ways and also liked Teagan and how she was all about the kids being the top priority, definitely a mom to be proud of! Have to admit I haven’t read any of the other books yet, I only know Cristin and Lynn as authors so intrigued to see what else the other authors have in store for these soldiers!
When Noah learns that his cousin has terminal cancer he retires from the Navy SEALS and comes home to raise his cousin's little girl Bella. This is a learning process for Noah. And it's even more challenging because Bella is a genius. Teagan is a school counselor and her son Will and Bella are best friends. Teagan offers Noah advise and any assistance he needs. Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other and are trying to figure how far to let things go. But things eventually heat up pretty fast. But a threat from Teagan's past will show up. But with help from two clever kids Noah will use his SEAL skills to eliminate the threat. It also turns out that those two little clever kids were working behind the scenes to bring Noah and Teagan together.
Noah moves home because his cousin and almost twin died, leaving Bella in his care. Teagan is a school counselor and Will is her son and Bella's best friend. Noah is in over his head as nothing in SEALs training prepared him for fatherhood. Fortunately, Teagan is willing to help.him figure things out. But there is something going on from Reagan's past that puts her and Will in danger. Can Noah figure out what is going on and keep them all safe? What can he do when he starts having feelings for Teagan? Read this to find out, but I do recommend you read this series in order.
The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steamy scenes with no details. The characters are vivid and endearing. The kids are super cute.
Teagan is a school counselor, divorced with a five year old son. Noah is a underwater demolition expert for the Navy SEALS. He gets a call from his cousin that she is dying from cancer. So instead of re-enlisting he heads back home to raise his cousins little girl Bella. Bella is five years old, very intelligent and best friends with Teagan’s son Will. As Noah navigates his way through child raising, he learns that life doesn’t always go the way you planned. As he and Teagan get closer, someone from Teagans past has shown up and threatens her new future. Excellent story. I laughed and cried. So have Kleenex nearby. A little steamy and the brightest little girl I have ever read. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this after winning in a contest*
ok first up authors should be working together when writing a series so there are not inconsistencies now in Noah's story he talks about being at Lainey's funeral but previously in Jack's story he rang Jack and asked if he could be at the funeral because Noah was heading out on deployment????? thats a pretty glaring inconsistency
But now to the rest of the story for one the kids were super cute and who doesn't love making wishes on dandelions I still do that when i pick one. Noah and Teagan were both fantastic characters and I did love the little big of drama with her ex but i expected more from the small town feel there was no going to the diner which always felt like the heart of the town and the halloween parade was glossed over a bit but the basis of the story was good.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it! While this, and the other installments are listed as stand alone, in the context of this series I feel that does an injustice to the series as a whole to not read them in order. This book fit extremely well in to the the scope and sequence of the series. Noah returns home to take of the care of his now deceased cousin, that we learn in a previous book was raised with him like a twin. This book not only stayed true to the series, but dealt with some very difficult issues and did it well.
