I think that it is the best book about Margaret Tudor we have (if it is not the only one). Margaret Tudor is famous for her bad choice in men, her selfishness and emotional instability. This book shows us who Margaret Tudor actually was, what and who forced her to act in such manner and her influence on Scotland. As a regent she did not succeed, but her connection to English crown and giving birth to heir, future king - James V, in future made Mary, Queen of Scots second in line to English throne. Finally, leading to Union of Crowns in 1603. Margaret Tudor is a controversial figure, but Patricia Hill Buchanan shows us who Margaret Tudor really was.
