This book was picked for me to do a buddy read with my sister. Rain Jenkins has been through a lot on her fifth birthday her father left her when he caught her mother cheating on him. Lorraine who drank a lot was not nice to her. On her 14th birthday her mother sold her to a man she didn't know. Entebbe Wotten needed to get married in order to stay in the country and he wanted a virgin he was a mean sick s.o.b. he beat her and her mother told her to suck it up. When her friend comes out to her they have sex and she finds what she has been missing Rain has been married for five years and never had the big "O". Rain has been saving money to leave him but she gets pregnant and decides to stay when he beats her while she is 7 months pregnant the baby dies two days later. When leaves him for good her doesn't want to give her a divorce until her lawyer shows him the evidence they have against him and a video of him having sex with a man. I wish the author of would have went into more detail about Entebbe and his past. Also what happened to her father. This was a good read, but it was a lot of problems with grammar and spelling also the format was bad and at times it was hard to read that's why I gave it 3 stars. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Well alright

This story was none of what I thought it would be. So I love that your story took a turn and probably will shock your readers about 30 pages in but that is the beauty of being an Author you can interpret the stories however your characters speak to you. One thing I did notice was that there are a lot of characters and sometimes you would confuse names and it made it hard to understand but overall I love the journey that Rain is on for self discovery and for 12 minutes I wanted Entebbe to really win her over but I respect the process of an author so im a rock with it.

Good story, bad editing.

The story line was a good one, but it took me so long to get through the book because the grammar is terrible. I don’t like the style in which is was written and there are so many errors, it’s almost unbearable.

Whoa

Now that's a book. Rain over came things that would have broken anyone, especially a child. But through it all she found herself and became the person she was meant to be.

It could've been good but...

This story could've be better. The plot was good but the way it was delivered needed work. First & last book I'll read from this author.

I love the style of writing that jumps off the page of this series. This series will encourage and give abused women strength. Hi-5 to the author.
