He hasn't slept for centuries... Tristan Bain is a bit more restless than his fellow Highland ghosts. But it’s his turn to be mortal, so he’ll have to stop searching for what he lost and go. Sadly, his quest gets lost in the mist and the lass who has beguiled him wants no part of his ghost stories.
The vacation of a lifetime is almost over for Audie and her best friend, and monster spotting on Loch Ness will be their last stop. But what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend turns into Audie’s worst nightmare, and the handsome Highlander asks for something she can’t give.
Unfortunately, there is only one way for Tristan to undo the damage he’s done, and he’s about to lose the most important thing of all. *TRISTAN is #31 in the series. If you are new to the series, first read the short set up, THE GATHERING, to avoid confusion. Don't forget to come back and review them all, and follow The Ghosts of Culloden Moor on Facebook.
Audie doesn't believe in things she can't prove. Tristan Bain is a ghost who died nearly 300 years ago.
I loved how this story was set in Scotland at Loch Ness interweaving the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. Tristan was a great guy who showed patience, kindness, and a penchant for kissing.
I liked the cameo appearance by the Muir witches, and hope Audie's friend, Natalie gets her own ghost from Culloden Moor.
Content: mild language (d and h words used a handful of times each), some kissing.
These books are such fun. And, a very clever concept that keeps you anticipating the next "ghostie" to find his way off the Culloden moor. Just love them.
I have read all the books on Ghosts of Culloden. I honestly feel this is one of the most enjoyable reads I have had the pleasure to read. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read.
This is book 31 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background information on the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone.
Another great story in this series! All of the ghosties on Culloden Moor are unsettled. That is why they are there. However Tristan seems to be the one of 79, that is restless and he is not sure why. Audie doesn’t believe in Magic. She is a very practical and mathematical person. For her, everything can be proven with math or science. At the end of her holiday in Scotland, that is all tested. She comes to realize that there are things out that there she just can’t explain.
This was another winner. I just loved this story. It was one of my favorites. I have read all 31 books and loved everyone of them. I highly recommend all the books and different author s who writes this series . the ghosts of Culloden are a great read for anyone who loves ghosts and romance. Diana Romano
Each ghost has their own story to tell. Each one as different as each man/ghost. Tristan's story is no exception. Audie doesn't believe in anything... until she encounters Tristan at Loch Ness. With Soni's help and his unselfish love she learns that not everything is black and white and mathematical accurate.
Exhilarating! I've loved each of the Culloden Ghost tales but Tristan has an ending that's even more unique and surprising than the rest so far. I can't wait to meet Naill and find out what magic Soncerae has in store for him! I highly recommend all the "Ghosts" stories and can honestly and proudly give each one a 5-Star Rating!
Would seeing Nessie in the loch actually bring ones true love to them? Read this installment of the Ghosts of Culloden Moor and find out. I am constantly amazed at the talent of this author to keep readers guessing about what the witch, Soni will dream up next as one by one she gives the ghosts a second chance. Highly recommend this series.
Audi in this book Is practical and doesn't believe in any magic Or mysteries at all. A scientist to the bone once proof for everything. And then come The highland man of her The highland man of her dreams but She can't believe what it is. Whole series is full of Happy ever afters.
This book was not like the first 30. There's no depth or emotion that you have come to expect. It was just a short story romance and a bit shy of that. Hopefully the following will be better.
I have read every book in this series so far and every single one has been wonderful. I highly recommend them. I haven't read all the books by L. L. Muir but I am working on it.
Wonderful story about love and ghosts because he's a ghost and she doesn't believe him and freaks out and to put her mind at ease he asks the witch to take away her memories of him. Read on for more.
This series is so sweet it capture's your imagination. Even though it stretches witch craft to the imaginary and romanticises it a bit. A well grounded preteen could read and enjoy as much as this middle aged woman, the sweetness of true love found.
Wow, such an amazing story. I’m always afraid to say too much in these reviews. My best recommendation is start with “The Gathering” and don’t stop till all the Ghosts go home.
I loved Tristan but Audie not so much. I also felt that the ending was rushed and there were a few proofreading errors that annoyed me. Having said that, L.L. Muir is still one of my favorite authors and I love this series.
Plot would have been amazing - if it weren't all wrapped up and ended so suddenly. I loved Tristan as a character, not so much Audie. The story leaves much to be desired and some loose ends just dangling.

Loved this one! Actually, I've really enjoyed all the Culloden Ghosts romances. They're easy to read, alas have little twists and leave me feeling happy!
Reading them all. Laughter and tears. Best stories ever . C Can't WAIT FOR OTHERS,What is it about Highlanders that touch women's hearts? If you find out share 💛
