抒情传统与中国现代性: 在北大的八堂课

In 2006 the writer was invited to Peking University to give short-term lectures. This book is made according to the 8 classes. There are 6 speeches in the 8 classes and they are about the theme of being lyrical and discourse of modern china such as enlightenment, revolution, nationalism, time / history and creation of the main subjects to make observation. The other two classes cover widely like talking and discussion. The writer cited the examples ranging from the major contemporary writers in ""May Fourth"" to the excellent overseas. The writer talked various forms of literature like lyrical poem, novel, prose, drama even music. In addition, the writer also compose the as the prodrome to complement the background and comment type on the one hand, on the other hand to make systematic answers put forward by the students in the classroom

王德威笔下的抒情传统像一个硬凑的概念，需要更多精细论述。以及附录什么鬼…… 课倒是讲得很生动，氛围和谐，很多话已不能说。文本细读很有想象力。 了解了一点海外汉学的背景，把陈世骧放在历史中解读还算新鲜。有空再读一下王的沈从文研究。
