The book reminded me of one of the biggest problems with goodreads' reviews: never trust a score with less than 100, no make that 1000 reviews. A rating of 4.33 with 6 reviews when I got the book is a complete sham.
Most of the 14 stories were poorly written and even more poorly edited. The author's promise to "... empower us to seek the miracle of faith, devotion and love." fails miserably. The only thing I felt empowered to do was to write this scathing review. I hope you read this before wasting your money or time on this book.
Some of the wonderful advice "to embrace ... in order to live our best life" inside the book? How about:
1. "When in a hotel, or new location, note where the fire exit is."
2. "Donate your own bras (and for the men, your sister and wives' bras.)"
3. "Let your instincts guide you." followed immediately by, "Be aware of your inner critic." [No discussion anywhere on how to differentiate "instincts" from "inner critic."
Redeeming factors:
1. Two, or maybe three, of the stories are worth reading. And,
2. The whole book takes only about 2 hours to read.

The Magic Within by Sana Chawla is a collection of insightful stories about overcoming adversities.
There are 14 short stories which are real life stories of 14 people. These are inspiring stories which motivates us to face our problems. Stories that have spiritual belief stories to help others there are stories about how to overcome the situations like war, terrorist attack, stories about life after death, journey of self discovery etc. All the stories were written in first person's point of view. I like that part when at the end of every story writter has written what they have learned or suggestions they have given. I really loved the concept and the way it has written. Simple English is used so it was easy to understand. Cover and Title is good and attractive. The stories were kind of autobiographies of the writers. These real life incidents demonstrate how one can conquer setbacks when things don't go as quite as planned. There were inspiring quotes in the stories. Will recommend everyone to read this book as it is inspiring book and keep us motivated .
