Green Mountain #6

Öffne mir dein Herz

Rate this book

Charley has always been the prickly girl of the Abbott family and I was wondering who’d be willing to take her on. I like a girl with spunk, someone who speaks her mind, boldly saying what everyone else is thinking but doesn’t have the guts to come out and say it. Charley is that girl. As far as romance goes, Charley is jaded by an old college betrayal, something she never got over so she’s not inclined to open her heart up to another man, especially not Tyler who’s asked her out about a million times. Tyler is determined and serious, and not much about her escapes his notice. Charley wants nothing to do with him until a running accident incapacitates her, and Tyler steps up and in to help in any way he can. It’s impossible for Charley to ignore all the awesomeness that is Tyler.

Ever since Tyler laid eyes on Charley he’s been gone for her. He loves her spunk and feistiness:

“I’m crazy about you in all your prickly, difficult, sexy, funny, challenging, gorgeous perfection.”—You’re my dream girl, Charley,” he whispered.

The accident just about scares the death out of him, but it also gives Tyler and opportunity to show Charley just how good they could be together.

While Charley’s attitude could be a little annoying at times I could understand where she was coming from. When you’re burned badly by love it’s hard to take a chance again. Fortunately, Tyler was determined and patient. I can’t tell you how much I loved him! He was an absolute dream: sexy, smart-guy-hot, passionate, accomplished, and all about Charley! I would’ve scooped him up in a heartbeat! And boy was their romance HOT!!! Ms. Force writes some smoking hot scenes!

I was a little worried that there would be major drama on Charley’s part, shutting Tyler out for some stupid reason or another, but I was happy she would take a step back and think every time she had cold feet. I will say I hope Charley

The Green Mountain series is one of my absolute favorite small town romance series out there! I adore coming back to Butler, Vermont to catch up with the big, loving Abbott family every time! If you’re a fan of a small town romance complete with fun, quirky characters, and a beautiful setting you must pick up the Green Mountain series! Marie Force expertly captures the charm and homespun qualities I adore about a small town romance!

“I’m not giving up on you, Charlotte. And P.S., I don’t buy all your abrasive bullshit. Underneath all that bluster, there’s an interesting woman lurking. I’d like to get to know that woman.”

I absolutely LOVE this series. This is my go-to when I need something sweet and very romantic and sexy. It hits all the right spots, and I had a happy smile on my face throughout the entire book.

Tyler has been asking Charley out for a very long time, but Charley refuses to give Tyler, who she thinks is a know-it-all and too perfectly put together, a chance. And it gets even harder to ignore him when they join the same running club. But when she gets hurt while training with Tyler for a marathon, Tyler sees it as his chance to prove to the prickly and stubborn Charley how good they could be together.

“You’re my dream girl, Charley,” he whispered.

I absolutely loved the banter between Charley and Tyler. And I adored Tyler, and how he pursued her relentlessly, never giving up despite how his family and friends mocked him as being a masochist. There’s something so very sexy about a guy who knows what he wants, and who refuses to settle for anything less. I really loved how stubborn and opinionated Charley was. Unbeknown to everyone, Charley was betrayed by her first love, making her unable to believe in love and loyalty. And the main reason why she kept pushing Tyler away, is that she thought he was too smooth, he said all the right things, which just made him too good to be true. But the longer Tyler cared for her during her injury, the more Charley realised how wonderful, and sexy and perfect he was for her.

Their romance was sweet and very sexy and superhot. And I loved every moment of it.

I adore this series. The charming small town, with the wonderful Abbott family. I especially love the grandfather, and how he and Lincoln, the siblings’ father likes to play matchmaker for the children. It is so funny :-). And who can forget the town moose, Fred, who is just adorable.

This is a must read for everyone who enjoys small town romances, with funny banter, great characters and a steamy and sweet romance. A definite must read.

I cannot wait for the next book, which hopefully will be Grayson’s book.

Slick's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

I've enjoyed each and every book in Marie Force's Green Mountain series, but I really loved this one. A bit of an unrequited love story with one very prickly heroine and the man who is determined to have her. A fast paced, sweet yet supremely sexy story Ain't She Sweet is a must read for anyone who has enjoyed this series.

First off I'd like to say that while you could read this book on its own, I think you'd get much more enjoyment out of it if you've read the other books in this series. The Abbott family is a force to be reckoned with, but none more so than Charlotte (Charley) Abbott. Charley is a bit prickly, she has definite ideas of what she wants and doesn't want in her life, and she is convinced that marriage and family are not for her. Following a college romance that went horribly wrong, Charley doesn't trust men and she especially doesn't trust the slick and all too put together Tyler Westcott. Tyler on the other hand is convinced that Charley is exactly the type of woman he wants in his life and he sets out to prove it.

I felt like this was kind of a sneaky romance; Tyler helped Charley though a pretty scary ordeal and over time she began to see that he was more than his outward appearance; that underneath his perfect appearance lurked a great guy who wasn't afraid to get down and dirty. Tyler was the kind of man that Charley needed; one that wouldn't let her always lead, one that saw all facets of her personality and one that appreciated the strong woman she is, but was strong enough to make her feel safe, secure and when she was ready loved. I appreciated Tyler's patience and in all honesty his unwavering devotion no matter how difficult Charley tried to be.

The whole Abbott clan was well featured in this book, but it didn't take away from the relationship building between Tyler and Charley. I loved catching up with all of them and watching their reaction to Tyler breaking down all of Charley's walls. My one complaint and it's a minor one was that I would have loved more time with these two after they worked through everything, but mostly that's just because I'm nosy...LOL!

Completely entertaining and utterly sexy; romance doesn't get much better than Ain't She Sweet by Marie Force.

Charley sagt immer was sie denkt.

I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Tyler Westcott!

AIN’T SHE SWEET was a labor of love to read. Charley is a spit-fire and VERY adamant about not getting serious with anyone, including the ever-annoying Tyler. Fate, however, has different plans for Charley. When she has an accident during a cold morning run and is laid up for several weeks to heal, Tyler suggests he be charged with Charley’s care. He feels responsible for Charley’s accident by challenging her to a run in less than ideal conditions, but also looks at this as a prime opportunity to win Charley’s heart.

Tyler knows he’s facing an uphill battle when it comes to Charley. But Tyler sees that under Charley’s tough exterior and sharp tongue, hides the heart of a strong, courageous and loving woman. A woman that Tyler wants in his life, permanently. As always, Charley never surrenders and it will take a hope, a wing and lots of prayers to capture the heart of this prickly, stubborn-as-a-mule woman.

I loved the story but Charley was an exercise in patience. She was mean, surly (more mean), and just wouldn’t budge or melt as Tyler cared for and doted mercilessly on her. I swear I’ve never read a more stubborn, jerk of a heroine and I had to put the book down several times just to get away from her. She really put Tyler through the ringer.

Now Tyler, oooooo wheee! He is smart, goofy, sexy and has a frickin’ heart of gold! And I think he should be awarded sainthood for all the stuff he put up with in dealing with Charley. If she doesn’t want him, I’ll take him! He reminds me a lot of Noah from I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND. Tyler wanted everything with Charley but accepted what she could give him at the time. It’s almost fictitious to read a character like Tyler. Why would he go through all this and wait all this time for a woman who doesn’t want him?

My best friend was in exactly the same position Tyler was in. He met the woman of his dreams, but she had a lot of hang-ups and a lot of baggage. My friend KNEW that she was the one for him and so he waited and waited. He became her friend, confidant, lover, sounding board, whatever she needed…until she was ready to accept the love, support and everything my friend had to offer her. They recently celebrated their one-year anniversary and are so happy together.

When the RIGHT woman (or man) comes along, they will be worth the wait, sleepless nights and heartaches. I can’t speak for myself, but I know it happened with Tyler and Charley and it definitely happened in real life with my friend and his wife.

The story also has plenty of the Abbotts as well as a wedding and a few surprises. As with all the Green Mountain books, they are well-written, heart-warming, laugh-out-loud funny and have me wanting more!

I received an early copy of the book and read it a while back. I had written the review but when I went back to find it for the release day, it was just…gone. Disappeared without a trace. So I ended up having to re-write the review. And I’m glad I had to, otherwise I wouldn’t have remembered the real life Charley and Tyler I know. I wouldn’t have believed their happily ever after if I wasn’t there to witness it myself.

AIN’T SHE SWEET is a lovely read that will have you believing that anything is possible. All of the Green Mountain books are magical and have the one constant that every wonderful story needs: Love. I highly recommend this and every book by Marie Force.

I was a little disappointed with this story. I don't feel like Charley and Tyler had any real chemistry. It was all sex and pushing away then more sex. Not a really good romance.

What is not to love about a hero who adores the heroine? Flat out. Steadfast in liking her in all her prickles and pushing away.

The heroine's reasons for this behavior I felt were, well, hmmm, such a deep seated reaction and then her own behaviors unexamined behaviors around relationships begged for some therapy. I get it but there was something in the writing that did not make this part of the heroine make full sense really and was a drawback to enjoying the book.

Not a drawback--small town setting, big families, christmas, fantasy of a wealthy humble dude, sweet hot romance.

I was looking forward to Charley's story as she seems to have such a strong personality and just speaks her mind quite freely. I love her directness and that she seems like a tough character with a good heart. Tyler on the other hand was a rather unknown character before his appearance in this book, so I wasn't certain what to expect of him. He did surprise me positively though and I do must congratulate him on his determination of winning over Charley after so many rejections beforehand.

The circumstances of their coming together or rather how Charley ended up injured and living at his place where a bit over the top for me but I could get behind that. What really disappoint me though was that I wanted Charley to have her guard more up and fight this 'thing' with Tyler much more. That's just what I had expected from her personality that they would have way more bickering going on and that it would be way harder for her to let someone get close to her in anyway, especially someone she was so determined fighting for years and declared to not want anywhere near her.

For me it made it harder to get Charley as a character as I felt she was constantly contradicting herself and I wasn't really sure what to make of her anymore. Some of her decisions like why she went after the hospital with Tyler, instead of living with any of her family members, just wasn't quite clear to me. If I'm in pain, I do prefer to be surrounded by family and be at my own place or at least a familiar one to be comfortable when I'm feeling the worst. And I do get that everyone was rather busy themselves but she has a huge family I'm sure they could have figured it out one way or another. It wasn't so much that she went with him what irritated me than the reason behind it and that she just kind of said okay I'll go with you without really giving it a second thought.

We have also again the motive of a for years going on unrequited love from Tyler towards Charley and even though she was supposed to be closed up they seem to get close very fast and I don't mean just in the physical sense. As it also appears that we have again a lot of sex scenes which under the circumstances that Charley said that that's all she wanted I was kind of fine with it, although it was still a lot considering that the stories aren't that long and that she was in recovery. I also just want to say that I don't mind reading sex scenes, I just kind of get bored with them after a while when it seems that they keep happening constantly without much else to it.

Otherwise I did like Tyler a lot even though he was extremely devoted that sometimes I felt actually sorry for him. They do make for an interesting couple as they seem to have rather different personalities but somehow they seem to make it work.

Ain't She Sweet is the 6th book in adult contemporary romance series, called the Green Mountain series by Marie Force. While, I have not read any of the previous books in the series, I now have to go back and get my hands on every single one of the first five because this is exactly the kind of series I have been loving lately. The Green Mountain series is about a big family with a ton of siblings. Throw in a meddling father and grandfather who like to do some covert match-making, and you have a great time. I love big family books where each of the installments is focused on a different family member.

Aint' She Sweet is the story of Charley (she's the family member) and Tyler. Tyler has had a crush on Charley for forever, and she is constantly shooting him down. But Tyler is crazy persistent and he never gives up. I actually really admired that about him, because I sure as heck wouldn't keep going back for rejection after rejection. But, strangely enough, it is an injury kind of caused by Tyler - at least in his mind- that ends up bringing him and Charley together.

I flippin' loved Tyler. The book should have been called Ain't he sweet because he is seriously one of the most thoughtful guys ever. He is so good to Charley. You can't help but like him. Charley never stood a chance. I really enjoyed watching the two of them together, and as soon as Charley saw that she was being ridiculous for turning down Tyler, they had undeniable chemistry. I also loved getting to see all of the other members of her overly large and very close family. I can't wait to read each and every one of their stories.

Bottom line: Ain't She Sweet is the very definition of a feel good romance. Read this book when you are looking to be cheered up, whether it is in bed on a rainy day or poolside on a perfect summer day, Ain't She Sweet is the perfect read. And can someone please hand over books 1-5 in the series, so I can binge read them?

Marie Force writes so lovely stories! She hasn't disappointed me yet!

The relationship between Charlie and Tyler was an uphill battle. She had been hurt before and didn't want it to ever happen again. Tyler was perfect! PERFECT! He understood her and didn't dismiss her opinions or her feelings, he was a nurturing boyfriend who wasn't really a boyfriend :D When Charlie got hurt he stepped up to the challenge. As you can see I just loved him :)

The thing that I loved most: Tyler didn't try to change Charlie to suit him. You don't see that in every book. He just accepted her as she was: with good and bad parts. I can't get more into this because spoiler.

Anyway, it was a treat reading this book. It just made me sigh in pleasure every few pages.

PS: Tyler is also an amazing cook, if everything else didn't sell you to him :D

Very enjoyable installment in the Green Mountain series. I love that each book is about a different family member and their journey to a HEA, and we also get to catch up with past couples, and their ongoing lives. I feel like I'm catching up with old friends. This book features Charlotte, and Tyler the guy who has been relentless in his pursuit of her. Tyler is so sweet, in fact the entire book is sweet and very low on angst. Just what I was looking for. I enjoyed this book, and love the series.

This series is a bit of a hit or miss for me. I really enjoyed the 1st, 3rd and 4th one, but the rest have been a definite miss for me. This would have been more of a hit if Charlie wasn't so frustrating. Her reasons for not trusting men were a total stretch.

This book is part of a serial, which I didn't follow. Hence I felt a little lost and detached from this book. So readers be warned, although this book is a stand-alone, it is best appreciated if you have read books in this serial.

I didn't really enjoy book, apart from the fact that I find it hard to follow all the numerous characters in this book, which they had appeared in the earlier installment of this serial, I find it very hard to relate and grow attachments toward the main couple, Charley and Tyler.

My dislike for Charley didn't helps and the "Brady Bunch"air about this book didn't help either. The problem is, everyone is so nice in this book, even the bad one is still nice...... I miss myself some @ssholes, to be honest.....

I’ve enjoyed every book in the Green Mountain Series. It’s somewhere between traditional contemporary romance and the newer, more realistic contemporary romance.  The setting is a small town in Vermont with limited to no cell phone service.  It’s close enough to New York and Boston to draw in elements of them.  The romances have been happening to the ten children in the Abbott family.

Marie Force has managed to use some traditional tropes without being cliché. There are shades and layers to make the “trope” more realistic.  There has been insta-love, friends to lovers, and unrequited love, for example.  In particular, unrequited love has been used with Megan, Hunter, Ella and Tyler, in various degrees and interesting ways.  It’s something so relatable; nearly everyone has experienced an attraction not returned.  But I am not a spoilery reviewer.

The Abbott family and their life is one anyone might like to have.  The characters have been shaped and grown throughout the series so they have become real to me.  It is harder to remember some details with time between books, so this series will definitely be set for a comfort reread once it ends.

I loved seeing various family members and their continuing stories here. Yes, especially Will.  He will always be my favorite.  Will and Cameron were here, both together and separately.  The others were more than a mention; their bits were part of the fabric of the life in this small town.  Even Fred, the moose, wove his way down the street as usual.

The couple of Ain’t She Sweet are relatable, while not completely realistic. Tyler has always wanted her in his life. He is really too good to be true.  Charley had a bad experience and is reluctant to ever risk her heart again. I appreciate the people from their past relationships not being on the page, for the most part.   The heat level here is high and the sexy times a bit more detailed than others in the series.

And what would any Green Mountain series book be without Elmer and Lincoln and their plans?  There are quotes on risk at the start of each chapter which are GREAT. Highly recommended, along with the rest of the series.

Alarm Bells & Wedding Bells? AIN’T SHE SWEET by Marie Force
http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/201...

Throughout this entire series I have wondered why Charley Abbot has a bug up her butt or, if you prefer, a chip on her shoulder. Yeah, she had ONE bad boyfriend but she has an acerbic personality across the board and I could never figure it out.

I had some big issues with the last book in this series so I was worried going into, but it turned out sweet and sexy and fun.

I thought that Tyler was sweet and caring, but while this story is possible because he doesn’t give up, I also question whether he is going to end up being a total creep. He’s not quite as rich, screwed up or kinky as Christian Grey (of EL James’ FIFTY SHADES OF GREY) was, but he also isn’t willing to accept “no.”

Why does this make a good love story, because it does, and I don’t know why. Alarm bells were going off in my head: guy has money but he’s secretive about it, he’s hung up on a woman who has turned him down umpteen times because, he knows that deep down she’s really perfect for him.

Even the family has considerations; not because he is creepy, but because they feel they should be doing what he does when she is hurt. But, then they see that he’s an okay guy and is taking good care of Charley.

Beyond that point, Marie Force uses the one bad apple trope. And the guy was really bad. This is one of my least favorite tropes. I could see Charley being all anti-relationship if she didn’t have a ton of other examples of great guys and great relationships handy. Also, she has so much family support (SO MUCH) that I just don’t get her “never love again” issues. Her whole life is hiding from the potential or relationship pain; but with so many great relationships around her it didn’t work for me.

But, like I said, the story ends up sweet, and hot. Tyler isn’t a Ted-Bundy-in-waiting, which is not a spoiler because the series isn’t going there. Weddings, and thus the post title bells figure heavily into this series; the Abbot family patriarchs fancy themselves matchmakers. They’re doing a pretty good job too!

And, if Charley softens towards Tyler, will she be less nasty the rest of the time? Will love make her soft?

I like the inclusion of other story lines; in some very silky writing they actually influence Tyler’s and Charley’s romance. Will and Cameron, Patrick and Mary, and Megan and Hunter all get spots in this tale.

The series was redeemed for me in this book. While I still wonder about the wisdom of family-business, HR policies in the last book, this one was a kinder and gentler side of the series. I enjoyed it!

This is such a fun family saga. The meddling from Elmer and Lincoln is subtle in this one, but it fit for a character as strong willed as Charley. Charley is a firecracker. She has always moved to her own beat, preferring to play with the boys rather than her sisters, and marriage and a family have never been in her sights.

Tyler Westcott has quietly watched Charley for years, taking the ribbing from his family and friends about being interested in such an untouchable woman. Living alone in his house on the hill, his plans included waiting Charley out, watching for an in that might make her notice him.

She noticed him all right, but his clean cut exterior and perfectly put together self were not what wild-child Charley were looking for. A dare sent them running together during a storm, leading Charley to an injury that requires assistance.

Tyler’s steady personality and conviction that Charley was the woman for him were the perfect compliment to Charley’s lack of relationship interest. No one else had taken the time to break down Charley’s walls and get to know the woman she kept private, because the one time she showed a man that side of her, her trust was deeply betrayed.

Charley, herself, was such a hard woman to crack. She thought she knew what she wanted, even as she watched her siblings fall in love and have babies, neither of those things were in the cards for her. But behind her prickly exterior was a woman who had been hurt and put herself back together the only way she knew how: stronger than she was before.

As Tyler worked around Charley’s walls, taking advantage of her injury, Charley began to see Tyler in ways she had never noticed before. As his always polished self gave way to the three-day facial growth and glasses, she saw that clean cut wasn’t the only side of him. He wasn’t the boring man she had assumed. The sparks flew between them, building a tension neither expected due to her injury, but waiting also gave time for Tyler to prove his worth to Charley beyond a quick romp in the bedroom.

Woven through Charley and Tyler’s story are glimpses of Will & Cam, Hunter & Megan, and the rest of the Abbott family. Particularly dramatic scenes included Max and his son, and though I know the time isn’t right for Max’s story, I can’t help but want him to find some happy. Teasers from one of the Abbott’s cousins, Grayson, keep interest high as we meet not only his new interest, but the baggage he will have to wade through in order to win her over.

Ain’t She Sweet by Marie Force is the 6th book in her wonderful Green Mountain series. Green Mountain is a fabulous family oriented series, where we get to spend time with all of the Abbot family members. Marie Force does a wonderful job in each book of bringing together great couples, and giving us quality time to see our favorite couples from the previous books. Ain’t She Sweet gives us a fabulous hero in Tyler Westcott. Charley Abbott, our heroine, the girl who no one thought would ever allow herself to fall in love.

Tyler has been trying for a very long time to get Charley to go out with him, but Charley is not interested in the perfect Tyler and avoids him at every turn. In preparation for marathon race, Tyler challenges Charley, who never backs down from a challenge. In a very bad accident, Charley is hurt and Tyler finds help just in time to save her. Tyler feels responsible, since he challenged her to go up the mountain where she fell. Tyler has a house he built that is a perfect place for her to recuperate her badly damaged knee. He makes arrangements with her family, a therapist and gets Charley to agree to stay at his house and let him help. Tyler loves Charley, and will try to prove to her that he is worth giving a chance.

We learn why Charley is man shy from any kind of relationship, which stems from a former boyfriend who broke her heart. Charley refuses to allow anyone to hurt her again. What follows is fun filled story, where all the Abbotts will make many appearances helping with Charley, and even by themselves, so we get to see how some of the couples with previous stories are doing. That was fun. Tyler was wonderful, caring, fun, loyal, and a perfect gentleman. There were times I wanted to slap Charley, as she was stubborn, unbending, even when she slowly began to fall in love with Tyler. This was a slow build romance that with the help of most of the Abbott girls, and Tyler’s sweet determined personality slowly opening Charley’s heart. It did take some time, and I did roll my eyes a few times, as who can resist Tyler.

Marie Force has done it again, with a wonderful romance, a couple with some issues, and a super family that we want to continue to spend time with. Ain’t She Sweet is another do not miss in the Green Mountain series. If you enjoy romance, a great family, small town and wonderful couples, not to mention sweet fun sexy stories, then you need to read this series.

Don´t get me wrong here, I LOVE this series, and will continue reading the books until the last book.
But either the author has changed her style entirely or she decided to give the couples something darker and take out the humor and charm a bit.

A nice to read novel, otherwise, this book was rather disappointing. Sure, the author has managed to conjure a beautiful story on paper here as well. However, I missed the joke and charm that is inherent in to novels otherwise, here badly.

Marie Force has remained true to her style. At least as far as the sensitive, the gentle spelling and the way the Abbott family interacts with each other. But in some passages, was too much distraction from the actual happening in there. And there were disagreements. Only slightly noticeable, but they were there.

Molly oh, boy. There is one scene, where Charley´s mother gets so angry with her sister´s point of view. That was so inappropriate, because I know Molly in this series as a pragmatic, loving and always helpful woman. But in the scene, she shows a side of herself, which was very atypical. Didn´t like it.

Charley loves her family. But she does not always share their views. She says what she thinks, acts accordingly and defends her job with vehemence. She would do anything for her siblings, but give herself up for it? Does not have to be.

Sensitive, a bit cheesy and sometimes not very logical. Anyone who likes novels without any great pretensions and just wants to read without having to think much about them, this sixth volume of the Green Mountain series is certainly a hit. The book is mostly nice to read, but it couldn´t really pack, touch or entertain me as the first parts of this series have. Sad, really sad.

Marie Force delivers, yet again, another beautifully written, heart-warming, and sexy romance in her Green Mountain Series. Ain't She Sweet is Charley Abbot's story. If you are familiar with the series, you know it is all about the Abbot family, a family you can't help but love. Charley is quite the challenge for any man, able to go head-to-head with her alpha male brothers without blinking an eye. Few men are up to the challenge Charley Abbot presents, save one....Tyler Westcott

Tyler is crazy about Charley and determined to wear her down until she finally gives him a chance. When tragedy strikes, Tyler steps in and proves himself above and beyond the call of duty. He's convinced he wants to spend forever with Charley, now he just has to convince her of the same. Charley has a past that has left her jaded when it comes to trusting men. Forced by circumstances, she now finds herself in the capable hands of Tyler Westcott, someone she never thought she'd be interested in. The more she's around him, however, the more facets of him she sees, and the more attracted to him she becomes. She just has to figure out if taking a chance on love is worth the risk.

Tyler and Charley's story in Ain't She Sweet is one that Marie Force fans, and fans of contemporary romance in general will want to add to their to be read list. The Green Mountain Series is one filled with great romance and great characters you can't help but fall in love with.

This is the sixth book in the Green Mountain series. Charolette "Charley" was one of my favorite characters. She was fun and loved to date but she always said she wouldn't fall like her brothers and sisters were. I knew her story would be the best. Tyler Westcott has been chasing Charley for years and she wanted nothing to do with him. These are my favorite type of books. I love the chase and angst and then the fall. And when Charley fell (literally) Tyler was right there. He moved mountains to get her the best care. It was so sweet to watch these two build a relationship. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Easy to read romance with a strong cast of familiar characters from previous books in the series. Can be read as a standalone.

Tyler has totally stolen my heart, and I don't want it back.

This series is incredible and it keeps getting better and better by the book.
Charlie and Tyler were so perfect together. They connected so beautifully, even if Charley fought so hard to deny it. And as we got to know her even better, it was totally understandable. She wasn't being difficult to Tyler just for a whim. She was guarding her surprinsingly vulnerable heart.

Most people might think Charlie was a difficult person. But she was way deeper and more complex than that. Truth is, we are fast on idolizing a man that is determined and independent, but we are faster to judge a woman that acts the same way.
Charley was a strong person, and it's as simple as that. She was funny, witty, sharp with her tongue and driven. She was also caring, nurturing, loyal and oh so vulnerable inside all that bluster.
She was beautifully built and relatable.

Tyler was his own kind of perfection. He was sofisticated and incredibly smart, he was driven and succesfull. And normally that comes as a result of a ruthless and reckless personality. But just like Charley was a wonderful contradiction, he was also an amazing surprise.
Tyler was adorable, nurturing and so devoted. He was patient, trustworthy and I felt as if he could pacify all the ruckus around them. He had this calm within him, this way of dealing with things and people that made them feel safe. And Charlie wasn't imune to that.

At the same time he left her unease with feelings she wasn't ready to aknowledge, he also placated and gained the trust of her wary heart.

They were electrical and explosive in their peace and quiet, and they were also peaceful and cozy during their storm. They respected each other, they fed their banter, they were free to be their real selves from the very beginning.

I'm utterly addicted and deeply in love with both of them.

And I want more, oh so much more.
