From the author of best-selling novel and movie, Plug Love, Foolish is a perfectly crafted tale of love, lies, and deception.

Rita has sacrificed it all for her boyfriend, Victor, thinking that he would FINALLY wake up and realize that he had her entire soul and she would ride with him until the wheels fell off. But how much is too much? Will loving a man suck everything out of her... including her life?
Jaycee and Meech had been together since they were teenagers. Meech was all she knew. However, after becoming fed up with being lied to and cheated on, she seeks out for revenge. Foolish

I'll honestly say Jaycee and Rita were both foolish. Jaycee was foolish for continuing to stick it out with Meech all because she felt the need to be loyal. She became selfish by trying to hold on to both situations. King seemed to be that dude and he was actually spitting the truth constantly. Jaycee worked my nerves at times because one minute she was forgiving Meech and wanting to leave the past behind only for the past to play a part in her so called revenge. Rita put up with a lot with Vic and no matter how hard she tried she was always left looking foolish in the end. The countless ass cuttings did nothing and Vic's choices didn't make matters any better. I think had Vic takes more responsibility than things might've been different. As women there's always a chance we become foolish for the men we love that we eventually sacrifice so much. Trust is broken, loyalty is questioned and sometimes we have to suffer great losses before reality sets in. I really was hoping Jaycee would get with King although it was crazy how they began. There were some sad times but with the right support things worked themselves out.

Amazing Story

Danielle never disappoints. Her reads are always good and never has my interest in what I'm reading stopped. The story line was very good. Crazy but good. I felt bad for both Rita and Jay because of the things they went through loving the men they were with. It caused both of them to have some serious trust issues. Jay went through some things, but at the same time she wasn't innocent at all. She did some things that were all the way wrong. Rita did her thing too, but it wasn't to the extent to where she was completely foul. A man doing dirt can always leave the door open for another man to be that shoulder she cries on. Meech and Vic both did their women foul. I can't fully say they didn't love them because they did. They just had their dog moments as well. Rico was foul, but when things were explained I definitely understood his reasoning and honestly I believed he may have had a little more love for Jay then Meech. I had my moment when I shed a tear because of the tragedy that happened. That was truly sad. Things didn't end how I thought they would but I can say that some may have gotten their happy ending while others are taking things slow to figure out things.

Really

Although I admit I did enjoy reading, I did not enjoy the double standards. Meech wanna be on some back and forth and although Jaycee was wrong too he wanna be all in his feelings like he wasn't wrong as two left shoes, boy bye. Same goes for Vic he got all bent out of shape for Rita having dinner with somebody and this man done had a baby on the side. Like come on then she pays for his mistakes and he still walks away with a happily ever after. That ending though how Rico still aint get his girl. I don't know why she playing like she don't know that's where she wants to be, she better stop dilluting herself. This was supposed to be a stand-alone but with an ending like that they need to have a spin-off you can't leave it hanging like that. Come on now!!!

I knew from the first chapter this was going to be one of those books that you finish quickly because you cant put it down. Every reader will be able to relate to the topic of being "Foolish" in one way or another like both Jaycee and Rita were for their boyfriends Meech and Vic. The author did a good job showcasing the double standards that associated with infidelity. Woman are expected to deal with it while most men can't handle an once of the dirt they do being done to them. While the book did have some editing issues : name mix-ups and word mix-ups, I thoroughly enjoyed this standalone. I was pleased with the drama it entailed as well as the ending. Great job Danielle!

Foolish

This book was amazing! It touched my very soul. I felt like I knew the characters, I identified with their stories, their pain, and their love. All of the characters lost something precious in the end, but some gained a love like no other. Should Rico and Jaycee have been together? Absolutely. That's why they were so drawn to each other over the years. My heart hurt for Meech, but in the end he gained the right soul mate for him. Friendship is for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Meech and Rico's season was up. Very well written book! I'm excited to see what Danielle Marcus has up her sleeve next.

Foolishly in love

I
This was a good and quick read. This author never disappoints. Love is hard enough but when you mix the streets, deception and betrayal in it, it leads to a whole lot of foolishness. When friends allow list to get in the way of good common sense, you end up with a well written novel that keeps you surprise. I must say this was an enjoyable read and I do recommend it. Kudos, Ms. Marcus as usual she kept it entertaining.

Happy Reading,

Foolish

This book was everything! I've always said the a cocky dude with too much pride would be the death of him & this book proved my point. Meech figured since he was Jaycee's first everything that she would stand by him no matter what. But even the most loyal person gets tired of being made a fool of. Vic did so much dirt to Rita that he couldn't take it when it happened to him. King was sitting back trying to tell both Meech & Vic to get themselves together for their women but since he didn't have a women it fell on deaf ears. The drama and lies always come to light.

So good!

My heart goes out to Rita. She literally died being a fool for Vic. I can see how Tamika and Vic would be perfect with them both experiencing losing the love of their life. Rita should have walked away the moment he came in with his daughter. Jay and Meech. Man o man. Things definitely happen for a reason. Meech loved her but definitely didn’t deserve her. King loved her and she was too loyal to give him a real chance. She gave him a child so why not give him a chance? This was such a good story!

10 damn stars

Omg... I had to take a few minutes before I started to write this review. You know a book is bomb asf when you question your self & wonder if you're loving yourself the right way. I don't think I've ever cried through a book this much lol. The emotions that you took me through with your pen is just crazy. Everything about these characters felt so real and I just wanted to wrap my arms around them so bad. 10 damn stars lbs I loveeee it !

First Timer

This was my first book by this Author and although the story was interesting. It took me a moment to read it. The women in this book was just straight up dumb to me waiting 10 plus years with any type of real commitment and cheating and outside children and some more. I liked that that author didn’t give a traditional ending as well. It was different and something I like when reading. Because everything is always perfect.

Jaycee pissed me clean off. Ughhhh I know meech wasn’t worth spit but dang you don’t get a brotha back like that! Rita, Rita, Rita... and that’s all imma say about that. I wish Jaycee was less indecisive and I wish Rita had more of a backbone. I don’t like Vic and Tamika... I’m too loyal for allat 🤣🤣 anyway great read. I love anything this author puts out since I first read Plug Love 💕

Great!

This is the first book I read by this author and I must say I loved this book and I plan on reading more by her. It's crazy the things we go through for love, and it's a shame that Rita had to go through everything she went through. Jaycee and King were wrong but maybe they were meant to be in another lifetime.

Great story

This book was so good and well thought out. I didn't think that I was rooting for Jaycee and King at first but Meech deserved to get his Karma just as Vic did too even as the cost of losing everyone to make him. This was a great read everyone need to read this story because it touches on home.

I was liking Meech and Jaycee together but she and King did the Ultimately no- no. I felt Rita pain but Victoria was innocent in all this. I was Glad that Meech walk away. He should have put crazy it Nyasia in her place. Vic mess up. Well in this book it's seems to me there wasn't true friends. A great read I can't wait to read moreof your books

Well!

I will say that I was disappointed that Meech and Jaycee didn't make it. Life can take you through obstacles, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I can't believe that Vic of all people was given a second chance. He was the biggest fool of them all. I gave this story four stars.

This was a very emotional book. I was literally lost and sad but happy because it real life explained how everything can be what it's not. I feel that it ended how it should have and not drawn out.

It's funny how you can love a man so hard and you end up finding yourself lost without him.. I am at a loss for words with this one. Ri was a good girl and she didn't deserve what happened. I guess she really was foolish

First of all the fact that this was a STANDALONE made this book pretty damn good. The characters were still developed well and it was a good storyline. This book could have been EASILY drawn out BUT I'm SO glad it wasn't!!!

Dang!

I did not see this ending like this! Rita dying had me in tears. She didn’t deserve that. Jaycee was foul for coming between two brothers like that. She knew Meech wasn’t going to just let it go smh
