This was actually pretty good considering there are three stories in this single issue and all of them are about 10 pages long. Each one has a Twilight Zone or Welcome to Night Vale feel and the art is really good. I would love to see something longer from this author because while they are good, I just have trouble giving something so short more than three stars.

I was on tumblr one day when I saw a long post of part of a comic.
It was very good. I went looking for more parts of it and found the entirety of it. [I will leave the discussion of copyright infringement and exposure to another day]
But… that was only one part. A bit more searching and I found it was a graphic novel that came with three stories.
1. Ark
A gas-masked man hunts a wolf in a blighted landscape. He mentions that after the bomb it is hard to find un-mutated animals.
The title is the hint. He’s saving animals and trying to look after them before the radiation kills him.
Hope… it’s about hope.

2. Midnight radio
If you’re listening to the right radio station at the right time the strangest music is played. The young woman searches for others who’ve heard it, but nobody knows where it comes from.
But one night she hears a whisper of numbers. She writes them down. They’re location numbers. After a long journey she finds the station, just in time to take over as DJ.

Hints of Nightvale here.
3. Test
A young policeman is dragged into an interview room by other cops. An old man sits at the desk. The room is packed with dead cops.
They talk. The man can control others. He makes the other cops point their guns at their own heads.
The young cop pleads for their lives and the man lets them go.
He says he is an Auditor, sent to judge Earth.
[I get an echo of The Day the Earth stood still] Unprepared worlds are given more time. Toxic ones are destroyed. Humans are failing the test.

He asks the young cop to prove why humanity should be given another chance…

The comic is given away free but it’s worth paying something for the last story alone.

Those were great! I believe I read all of them once on tumblr, but I came across it again and decided to re-read it. My favorite was definitely "The Ark".

The art is amazing and the stories are creative and just a tad bit creepy. The mystery that encompasses them is really great, and the twists amazing. I can't shake the feeling I wish they were just a bit longer, though I suppose that's half their charm.

Three great short stories about humanity and our fears and strengths. The art was beautiful and complex and the stories were intriging and left me wanting more. Really looking forward to more work from these authors!

3 shorts surprisingly though provoking considering their brevity.
Ark ⭐️⭐️ (myopic dystopian)
Midnight Radio ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Twilight Zone-ish)
Test ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (sci-fi moral tale-I couldn’t stop projecting that the Auditor character was an allegory for the coronavirus)

It's a short collection of 3 beautifully illustrated comics. Absolutely recommend this and the author's other works.

A brief read, too brief even, but with that delicious mysticism that characterises good stories. Three short stories, each with an unexpected twist. Read it to reaffirm your faith in humanity, especially in these dark times.
