Brett makes a mess of personality tests. In daylight, he designs systems and consults for investigative agencies as the premier expert on crime and bomb scene management.

At night, he imagines wildly.

And in the twilight in between, he is an accomplished game theorist, author, and world builder.

Under the vibrant Worldspanner universe, he works with other designers and authors to create an interconnected body of gaming and storytelling. He is designer of the acclaimed Duel of Ages game series and author of the exceptional unfolding mystery series known as Dusties.

Watch for the upcoming novel series, Jurney. And two tabletop game series, Tragick and Westhope, are due in late 2019.

Gosh, I wish more people knew about these books. This series has turned out to be one of the most unique I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The characters are fascinating, the pacing is perfect, and every hint and clue makes perfect sense in the grand scheme of the story. I'm awe-struck by the sheer amount of work that must've gone down behind the scenes of this series.

One thing that I particularly enjoy about these books is its characters. Each one is a distinct individual with motivations and quirks that make them immediately recognizable to the reader. I never had the issue of trying to figure out who was saying what line of dialogue. It's rare to find such a solid group of characters all in one series. Even the antagonists were interesting and well-rounded!

This has become one of my favorite series, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well-developed high fantasy story.

This series is going from strength to strength.
There is a good air of science fiction here mixed with fantasy but it's hugely philosophical in nature.
It's nice to see such a hugely populated fictional universe with many diverse beings, the like that rivals LOTR. But instead of falling on the now overdone usual suspects for creatures or races eg elves, orcs, wizards etc Brett builds up classes of his own. There’s a complete fictional universe that is ripe to breed many more stories and lore.
There's so much potential I feel and I just can't get enough.
