There were enough possibilities here that with a good editor maybe the author could come up with a good book. However, too many scenarios ran off the tracks. Too many coincidences. What made the journalist think he wasn't in danger in speaking with the firebombers. And what about their attitude? We're led to believe they are leading the journalist away from the truth. I kept thinking the book would improve, that instead of the main policeman thinking later he should have listened to his associate, that he would actually listen to her. Maybe prevent some deaths. I don't know, disappointing book.
