Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan are prisoners. Framed for a crime they didn't commit, the four young Greencloaks have been captured by the ruthless Oathbound.

Rather than facing trial with the rest of their order, the friends and their spirit animals find themselves smuggled to a remote palace. There they discover that the plot against them runs deeper -- and is far more sinister -- than anyone realized. Someone has been manipulating both the Greencloaks and Erdas's leaders, all to uncover a powerful relic with the potential to flood the entire world.

To stop this conspiracy, the Heroes of Erdas will need absolute faith in their spirit animals. If they fail, all of Erdas will drown.

Sarwat Chadda

Sarwat Chadda has lived and traveled throughout the world, from China to Guatemala. He’s been lost in Mongolia, abandoned at a volcano in Nicaragua and hidden up a tree from a rhino in Nepal. Not to mention being detained by Homeland Security in the US and chased around Tibet by the Chinese police. Maybe he just has that sort of face.

Anyway, now he’s trying to settle in one place and stay out of trouble. Hence his new career as a writer. It’s safe, indoors and avoids any form of physical danger.

Throughout his travels, Sarwat has soaked up the myths, legends and cultures of far away places. Now, with the Ash Mistry series, he aims to bring these unfamiliar tales of ten-headed demons and blue-skinned heroes back home and put them beside the exploits of Achilles and Thor. His heroes are Prince Rama and the demon-slaying Kali. Isn't it about time you met them too?

Conor, Meilin, Abeke i Rollan moje ziomki.

I'm really, really glad that the wyrm/zombie arc ended and went for the bond tokens, but the finale to this series fell short for me. I enjoy the four main characters a lot, but this book sort of spiraled into a cartoon finish that was incredibly open ended. I would have actually liked to see where the characters ended up a couple of years down the road, but we're left with them looking off into the unknown once again with the world in chaos all around them.

I still enjoyed the read and I'm happy to see that this series followed through with the arc. I wish the side characters (and the main characters) had been handled better, but I still recommend this series all the time.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars.

The book on itself wasn't bad, but I found that they were worshipping Meilin too often. Like yes, she is a skilled warrior, and yes, she has a lot of confidence, but it's not like she is the strongest fighter or most patient one.

The book was fast-paced, and I don't think there was any chapter without action. Accept when they were making their own bondtokens. I also find it ridiculous that they spend three and a half book searching for the bond tokens of legends just so the oathbound and Princess Song can take them so that our four heroes are forced to make their own...

The final battle was way too short. Princess Song got defeated too easily.

The Crazy Old Man was just perfect comedic relief, and we had a little bit of Worthy. ❤️

I'm going to read the book of Shane next, and then I'll be done with this series.

This was a really interesting book to read because it follows four adventurers who are all "bonded" to mythical creatures with special powers. Their "bonds" create a special relationship with their animals so the children are able to summon the animals at will, even if the animals are in a different room or place. My favorite part of the book is at the very end when the children find out that one of them has been a spy and traitor the whole time. There's a lot of dramatic irony in the book because at certain points the author actually hints that one of them is a traitor, but the characters don't know that. The dynamic between the characters after they find out one of them is a spy is also very interesting to read about, because they start turning on another and can't trust anyone. I would definitely recommend this book to any animal lovers or people who enjoy reading fantasy adventure novels.

Finally finished all of the Spirit Animal books! This will most likely be my last time ever reading these books and even tho I had a few problems with them I will miss them. First 7 books were well done book 8 to 11 were sad tougher to read through but were well connected to the whole plot and had clear connections to the earlier books and had good character development, while books 12 to 15 I feel were just written just to write more books they were lacking in plot and other things and made it kind of boring to read they added in a few cool things but disappointing over all. All things considered a decent series would recommend for younger kids just cause of writing style and storyline. Glad to have finally finished all of them and this book had a good ending and wrapped it all up. May not be the greatest but they were crucial to my younger self for getting into reading.

Wow what a whirlwind that this series was. I can't believe it's over (or at least seems to be). The stories were wrapped up nicely for the most part but the overall series suffers from continuety errors most likely as a result of multiple authors. WHAT HAPPENED TO DANTE LIKE 4 BOOKS AGO SERIOUSLY. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LEADERS OF THE GREENCLOAKS AT THE END OF THIS BOOK? Overall this is not a huge issue but it is obvious that the authors didn't totally communicate with one another. The four main characters were the most consistent and that can be appreciated because they were handled very well. I suggest this to anyone of any age.

I am glad that the series finally wrapped up, but I also felt like we could've been given a little more at the end. What are the 4 kids going to do now? We never really knew how much time lapsed during all of their adventures, either. I always wondered how old they were through all of this. They couldn't still be eleven years old. I just thought that after all of these books, we should have been told more about what the Greencloaks were going to do next. Maybe I missed some of that during my reading.

I like this series as I relate to Meilin quite a bit. And I like the characters in general. (Favourite is probably Rollan though)

But does anyone else think of them as older? I looked it up and found at that they are like 13-14 which ig isn’t that young… and makes sense. Like grade 8 or 9 I can believe that. (Even if sometimes I think of them as like 15-16.) But idk maybe people do look that young when they’re that age. (I.e The Cover) Maybe this is because they look different when I visual them though. Idk anyway yeah I like this series.

3.5/5-I really liked things about this portion of the series. I don’t think it quite measured up to the “Worm Trilogy” that preceded it. It never felt quite as desperate. And, it felt repetitive: traveling their world trying to find relics with great power. But, I loved that the 4 main characters were together for essentially the entire mission. And, I loved the climactic battle in the final book after they’ve strengthened the bond with their spirit animals. Good stuff!

So, here I am. At the end of series I truly love! I'm kinda torn. I'm glad it's all wrapped up and come to an end, but at the same time I wish it wasn't. If there is ever a continuation of this series, I'd love for it to jump ahead a few years and focus on life for our heroes when they're older. But if it never continues I'm fine with that too.

Rollan and Essix are still the best, and no one can tell me any different!

I'm enjoying how they are coming up with good ideas, but not unreasonably so like in the last book.

I like that despite having read so many of these books I am still getting surprised. Then plot twists continue to be interesting and exciting!

I really liked this one overall. The villan was good, them making their own tokens was an amazing addition to the story, and the ending was exactly what I would have wanted. I don't really have anything bad to say about it!

Sad to be done! My youngest and I finished both series together. I thought it was interesting how seamlessly the story flowed despite there being a different author for every book. Although I guess Brandon Mull wrote both #0.5 and #1 of the Spirit Animal series.

What an excellent finale to the spirit animals series. The Four Heroes have another epic struggle, but with the help of their spirit animals they find new ways to protect Erdas and bring hope. This was well written, engaging and exciting.

This book wraps the series well. The four heroes solve the mystery behind the emperor's assassination and find the final Greencloak gift. They save Erdas and help bring peace back to the countries.
