Squeezed

Rate this book
If your wife organized a threesome for you on your honeymoon, what would you do? Scott is shocked by his wife Hannah's suggestion, but hesitantly agrees to go along with it. Back home, both feel a little guilty about their encounter with a Thai prostitute called Marilyn, but soon put it behind them when they discover Hannah is pregnant. They must both fight to keep their family together when Marilyn turns up on their doorstep, six months pregnant, and Scott comes to realize that in life there is often a price to pay for indiscretion. Squeezed is a story about family, and how sometimes we don't appreciate what we've got until it's gone.

I haven't enjoyed a book as much as this one in many a year. Laughing out loud most of the time and (trying not to give anything away) shedding quite a few tears as well. Yep, I'm a bloke and not supposed to do that but I'm not ashamed to admit it. This little story had all the right people in it and although it was fictitious every bit of it could have been factual. David Atkinson, tears of laughter rolled down my face but your story also broke my heart. This is my number one book of the year and I'm already reading another by this very gifted author.

More like watching a Rom-Com than reading a book - easy to read escapism rather than realistic, but hilarious, sad and touching at times.

A couple with two kids struggling to make ends meet find themselves in an awkward situation when the wife finds she is pregnant and an unexpected visitor drops in from Thailand on Christmas Eve.

Great read.

It was a little slow starting and I got bored fairly quickly. However it did pick up and the story itself was great.

Cute, but uneven and underdeveelopd

Poor pacing, and the consistent refrain of how dumb and how poor the narrator is dragged the story down. The side characters were delightful.

A wonderful read of life, love, trauma and its ups and downs. One to make the reader think perhaps and most definitely smile. A feelgood read I really enjoyed
