His hand slackened around her throat and she slipped a little ways down, still pressed hard against him, and she almost let out a little mewl of disapproval...
His teeth sunk in deeper into her throat. Signals flashed through her body that it hurt. Her brain interpreted it as pleasure anyway.
He pulled her back and tossed her easily onto the couch.

Don't waste your time
Detective Treasure Hunt has a problem, and what it's not what her parents considered a good name. No, it's a case. Big surprise. Other than that I couldn't tell much of what was going on.
The story needed a good content editor...stat! The story meandered in places and moved too fast in others. The author has also stuffed the book with other books in order to take advantage of Kindle unlimited.
The actual story doesn't inspire me to buy more
