I don't know where Esther Schmidt continues to dig up these characters from, but I hope it's an endless tap. Crane and Faya were a great couple.
I honestly wasn't sure what to think of Crane at first. He's a nomad biker and an hired killer, so sweet and kind wasn't really his thing. His latest job tripped him up because he fell for her. He was rough with her at first- called her a few names but he soon realized she was his. At first I was afraid he was going to be a dick the whole time to her- I should have known better. Once he realizes she was made for him, he is all about her.
Faya has had a rough life. She grew up in some rough foster homes. She worked odd jobs to make ends meet and then she witnesses her roommate getting killed. Now she's on the run. Enter her hired killer. She didn't fight him.
-no cheating
-instant attraction
-no ow/om drama - neither were virgins. None of the women he'd slept with show up.
-no pushing away
-some club violence - nothing of a sexual nature
-steamy sex scenes
-just ok epilogue 6 months out
-really only two other characters in this story and we didn't have to see them being skanky manwhores. Ronin, who is up next, made reference to sleeping with other but we didn't see any of it at all. I appreciate that in a series.

3.5 stars I absolutely love everything EES writes but damn I wish this had been longer. This story could've been fleshed out more and been amazing. I still really enjoyed it. It's instalove on steroids. Looking forward to Ronin's story.

Hero and hitman, Crane was considered to be a nomad but also a member of Lost Valkyries MC. His assignment was given to him by his no- nonsense Prez, Ronin ( book 2's main character) and was to find Faya (witnessed crime boss, Tico killed her roommate and best friend) and by any means necessary -- kill her or make her disappear to another state or country. Well, Crane being Crane chooses to take her with him to his hideout cabin that she sarcastically makes fun of immediately.
What I enjoyed about this fast-paced romantic suspense was that the heroine was not a doormat but realize fast that her connection was not a fluke with Crane so they rolled with the punches together! With twists and turns and changes of the Crime lord's demand's, Crane is given another hit to protect what is his, his now old lady, Faya! It was so funny how Faya was able to defend herself against one the Valkyries MC member, Romeo as well as her reaction to seeing the evidence of Tico, the man who wanted Faya good and gone!
Loved this quick read!

What I enjoyed about this fast-paced romantic suspense was that the heroine was not a doormat but realize fast that her connection was not a fluke with Crane so they rolled with the punches together! With twists and turns and changes of the Crime lord's demand's, Crane is given another hit to protect what is his, his now old lady, Faya! It was so funny how Faya was able to defend herself against one the Valkyries MC member, Romeo as well as her reaction to seeing the evidence of Tico, the man who wanted Faya good and gone!
Loved this quick read!

Crane was doing his job and prevent her from testifying. He didn't expect Faya to be full of sass and not given an inch even though she knew what he was there to do. Crane decides to bide some time with Faya but he doesn't expect his attraction to her to continue to grow. Crane has some decisions to make about which path he will take with Faya.
Another fantastic read from Esther E. Schmidt. From the minute Crane and Faya meet it is electric, I wasn't sure where this story would go but it was brilliant. Crane is pure alpha male and he just oozes sex appeal. Can't wait for more in this series, introduced to some characters I would love to see books on.

This is my first book by Esther Schmidt and if you are looking for a quick and smutty book this would be a good one for you.
It is really short so it was definitely an insta love book and the hero is super alpha, but sometimes this is the kind of book I am looking for.
It does have violence but not really in a sexual nature….I mean it is an MC book so it stands to reason there would be violence.
This is my first book by Esther Schmidt and if you are looking for a quick and smutty book this would be a good one for you.

I was so excited for this book, because I love everything by Esther. She again didn't disappointed. Damn, this was one smoking little piece. I FLOVE Crane. That's one dirty rough sexy motherfucker. I love Faya. That's one strong amazing female. But damn, you girl better watch out. I will snatch him from under you. Lol.

I read these out of order lol. This was pretty short with some steam.
Crane is a nomad for the MC and a hired hitman he has a job make sure Faya a witness doesnt talk, he has option's to get rid of her. But for some odd reason he feels a spark but he is a jerk towards her since he has a job. As for Faya girl been through some tough times and now she has a hit on her because she witness her roommate get murder. So now shes locked in a cabin with a Biker who makes her body ooze with pleasure. Their banter is funny and the tension is high. Crane made up his mind he isnt going to harm one hair on his old lady unless its between the sheets ;). Now they have to deal with the guy who wanted her dead.
No ow/om drama,no cheating, Drama, sexy times, slight secondary charas, no virgins

Holy Smoke what a quick, hot sexy ride this book was. I LOVED IT! Only problem I had was that it was over to soon!!!
I absolutely loved Crane. Yes he was a badass dirty rough sexy hot biker, but... er what was I saying... sorry got lost in Crane again... lol
And Faya, she was no damsel in distress, she was feisty and didn't let Crane get away with anything! I can't even. Everything in this first book of a new series did so not disappoint. This author really hooked me. And man I so can't wait for the next one...

I admit it, I tease and torment Esther about when is the next book coming? Feed my addiction I tell her! I’ve read all the books! I.WANT.MORE! She is so patient with my demands and general lunacy and reminds me oh so gently (sarcasm, yeah?) there are some work to be done before she can release another. HA! I’m starting to think she secretly is holding out on us! She whips out this quickie on us and keeps us on the hook! Does she not realize this just will get me to bug her even more? If you’re a fanatic of her work like a good portion of us you know she is a master storyteller when it comes to her insta love books, dark romance, and MC books. But when she throws all three into one, it's a shock! OH man but what a good shock!
Crane lives by the code of the brotherhood, even though he’s a bit of a nomad. He fights for them, he fights for himself, he does his job well and he plays by his own rules. Those rules can be changed at any moment and they do in the moment he meets Faya. She’s a mark he’s supposed to take out so she won’t testify. But he’s drawn to her and there’s something about her that makes him change more than just those rules.
Faya has lived a life on the wrong side. She knows that eventually everything catches up to you. She’s a fighter though and she’ll fight until she has nothing left in her. She meets Crane and accepts her fate. But what is her fate with him? What does she do now and how does she choose to fight?
This is a super quickie full of angst, dark and dirty reality and the best kind of insta love….raw and hot! Esther never fails to impress me with her abilities to spin a good story. She’s an author you need to catch up with and watch for!

This is the first book in the Lost Valkyries MC series by Esther E. Schmidt. Even though I have several of her books in my library this is the first one I've actually read and I will definitely be rectifying that. This was a quick read but it definitely packed a punch and I'm looking forward to reading Ronin's story. Faya was just doing a favor for her roommate she didn't expect to witness local mob boss, Tico Borgio killing said roommate. Crane is a member of the Lost Valkyries MC and he's also a professional hit man. He gets his jobs from Ronin, the President of the MC. When he saves Faya from being attacked in an alley he questions whether or not he'll actually kill her. He straps her to his motorcycle and heads to his cabin in the mountains he built four years ago. Crane can see the pain in her eyes and he promises her no one will ever hurt her again.

This was my first time reading a book by Esther E Schmidt and I’m hooked! Crane is a nomad biker hitman hired to take care of a witness (Faya) so she doesn’t testify against a mob boss. Crane is a sexy dirty talking alpha biker who kidnaps Faya instead of killing her. Faya is emotionally damaged just enough to attract Crane like no other woman ever has. Faya was self-conscious being naked in front of Crane because she is overweight. Crane lets her know that he likes her curves and feels like he can have rough sex with her because she can take it. How hot is that! I fell in love with Crane just because of that. Well that and how rough & raw he was. The cover model fits Crane’s description to a tee. There is humor, hot steamy sex, and a quick but wild ride. I can’t wait for Ronin’s story next.

Loved this story. Esther E. Schmidt did a fantastic job on this story. The book is well written. Esther E. Schmidt is an AMAZING Author. I have read everyone of her books and have loved everyone of them.
This book has a great story plot and has great characters. Loved and Crane and Faya. I couldn't put this book down. Crane is a strong, sexy, possessive,protective alpha. Faya is a strong, sassy, beautiful, feisty, fierce woman. Crane and Faya are perfect together. Their chemistry is off the charts sizzling hot. They make a perfect pair. I really enjoyed this book. If you're looking for a quick read involving a dirty talking biker and a feisty, not what you'd expect woman - this is it!
I really enjoy Esther's writing and was thrilled to read this. Crane is a Nomad with the Lost Valkyries MC and he gets hired to "take care of" people. His latest job brings him to Faya, the woman that is going to change his life. Faya is not a shrinking violet kind of woman and perfect for Crane as we get to see during the story. Once our man decides Faya is his, he's going to do what ever it takes to keep her. Loved the epilogue.

Schmidt's stories always catch me from the first chapter and hold me until the end, Crane is no different. This story is raw, dirty, sexy and straight to the point. I fell in love with both characters and wanted more of them. Crane is all male alpha that takes and gets what he wants. Faya is a character who has been though hell, and she is ready for death but she is also looking for something or someone to make her feel wanted. Faya and Crane were made for eachother and according to Crane she can take the F@ing he likes to give. There are no sweet words in Crane it's all dirty talking at its finest. In het biker romance-genre heb ik al best wat gelezen. In het Nederlands is er niet veel te vinden, dus zodra Esther Schmidt een oproep plaatste waarin ze zocht naar mensen die haar boek wilden recenseren, was ik gelijk enthousiast. In het Engels doen haar boeken het goed, dus ik was erg benieuwd. Een huurmoordenaar die uiteindelijk gevoelens krijgt voor degene die hij moet omleggen, ik was ontzettend benieuwd hoe dat zich zou ontwikkelen.
Nou, in sneltreinvaart, zo blijkt. Zodra ik boekje ontving zag ik dat het dun is met een groot lettertype, dus het is eigenlijk een kortverhaal/novelle. Geeft niks, natuurlijk. Het maakt de uitdaging wat groter om een geloofwaardige relatie neer te zetten, maar dat vergrootte juist mijn nieuwsgierigheid.
Faya is een taaie – ze heeft veel meegemaakt in haar leven en wanneer het haar duidelijk wordt dat Crane haar wil vermoorden berust ze daarin. Het feit dat ze geen angst toont en haar scherpe tong behoudt, intrigeert Crane. Hierdoor gaat de aantrekkingskracht ietsje dieper dan het puur fysieke aspect, want dat is zeker. Ze voelen zich tot elkaar aangetrokken en dit leidt tot vrij heftige seks. Dit wordt nogal banaal omschreven – wat passend is bij het personage en wel vaker zichtbaar is in het genre – maar wat mij persoonlijk weinig doet en snel verveelt.
Zeker de helft van het boekje draait om seks, waardoor ik het gevoel kreeg dat het meer daar om draaide dan om het plot. Crane is zo groot geschapen dat hij blijkbaar nog nooit echt bevredigende ervaringen heeft gehad, want Faya is de enige die zijn ruigheid aankan en daardoor is ze perfect voor hem. Dit lijkt het enige wat belangrijk is voor het vinden van een partner en Faya heeft er verder ook geen problemen mee om samen te zijn met een huurmoordenaar. Hier miste er voor mij dus flink wat diepgang en voelde het ook niet echt geloofwaardig – Crane komt over als iemand die zo met zijn eigen genot bezig is dat ik me niet kan voorstellen dat hij die weinige kwaliteiten die hij van Faya waardeert niet bij een ander stevig gebouwde vrouw kan terugvinden.
Het niet nakomen van de opdracht wordt ook vrij gemakkelijk opgelost. Jammer, want hier verwachtte ik juist een beetje meer actie wat toch ook wel kenmerkend is voor het genre. Dit verhaal focust zich bijna alleen op de seks en hoewel er vast genoeg lezers zijn die dat graag lezen, had ik zelf meer van het verhaal gehoopt. Het voelt nu alsof ik het bikerwereldje amper heb betreden en alleen getuige ben geweest van wat expliciet beschreven seksscènes die ik een beetje afgezaagd vond.
Helaas was dit dus niet zo mijn ding, maar ik vermoed dat liefhebbers van erotica daar anders over denken. ;)

This is the first one of the new MC series and I loved it :) Crane is a nomad biker and an hired hit-man, so at first it gave me a pause moment because he was rough at first with Faye in their first encounter but that changed drastically when he started taking care of her and realized pretty quickly that she was his and the perfect woman made for him :)
Faye is a strong young woman, she's been through tough times growing up, going from foster home to foster home and being abused by them made her toughen up and develop a hard shell. So imagine when her life drastically changes when she becomes the only and primary witness to her room-mate's murder and a hit is placed for her death. Luckily, it was Crane that was assigned and this led them to each other's lives and Faye getting her man and protector, Crane :)
These two have insane chemistry and the sexy times ;) are boiling hot c(: Loved how Crane was with Faye after realizing what she was becoming for him and how he didn't care who he had to go against for, to protect and keep his old lady, Faye <3
Can't wait for Ronin's story and who's the lucky lady to tame him ;)
This is the first one of the new MC series and I loved it :) Crane is a nomad biker and an hired hit-man, so at first it gave me a pause moment because he was rough at first with Faye in their first encounter but that changed drastically when he started taking care of her and realized pretty quickly that she was his and the perfect woman made for him :)
Faye is a strong young woman, she's been through tough times growing up, going from foster home to foster home and being abused by them made her toughen up and develop a hard shell. So imagine when her life drastically changes when she becomes the only and primary witness to her room-mate's murder and a hit is placed for her death. Luckily, it was Crane that was assigned and this led them to each other's lives and Faye getting her man and protector, Crane :)
These two have insane chemistry and the sexy times ;) are boiling hot c(: Loved how Crane was with Faye after realizing what she was becoming for him and how he didn't care who he had to go against for, to protect and keep his old lady, Faye <3
Can't wait for Ronin's story and who's the lucky lady to tame him ;)

Talk about a book that will get you hooked. I can see myself getting completely addicted to this series by Esther for sure. I am dying to get my hands on the next in this series. Although this book was short it had it all and in no way did I feel as if it was rushed. We all know that most of the MC men we read about know when the woman they meet is their Ol' Lady so why waste all the time debating it. Esther was able to give us a book that had not only some hot scenes in it but you get some action and suspense as well. Crane and Faya are a perfect couple and I truly enjoyed reading their story.

This short read by Esther will leave you HOT!!! It's short, sweet, dirty, and just everything you would expect from an Esther book. Even with it being one that you can devour in under an hour! At least I did. And I loved every minute of it.
Not only do we have a rough & tough biker named Crane but we get a kick ass female character, Faya. I know I could go for some more Crane in the future!!

Crane is a nomad he is a hit man and does jobs for the Valkyries MC and on his newest job comes face to face with Faya who he's supposed to silence. When he takes her home things don't go how he thought they would.
Faya knows what life is like and dying doesn't scare her by when Crane takes her to his cabin things change for the two of them she isn't scared of him and feels safe.
This is a new series and sounds exciting,

Oh my another hit by Esther E Schmidt ! I absolutely love her writing and her imagination, she created a story that hit the floor and took off running , it's fast, sexy and it packs a punch!!! I loved Faya she's definitely one tough cookie ! Crane yeah every girl needs a Crane he's hot sexy and a so dominant!!! I love his whole caveman aditude! I'm ready and waiting for Ronin!!

It might be short but super steamy with a whole lot of story!!
This little story grabbed me right away and didn't let go til the very last sentence. This couple had immediate chemistry. Perfectly paired. I loved that he was supposed to kill her but ended up wanting to keep her.

What a fast hot read! Loved the intensity between Crane and Faya. Give me a dirty talking MC any day and Esther doesn't disappoint! I received an ARC for an honest review and here it is.... this is a must read!

Holy um ah Heck (yes, that works, good girl vibes here)... Crane, what can I say but oh baby I've been a bad bad girl. Oh yeah review time, right, mind out of the gutter. Esther has given us a brilliant beginning to a brand new MC series. It's short, it's hot and parts had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. I would of said laughed out loud so hard but thanks to a slight issue of having no voice at the moment, I didn't make my housemate mad by waking him up due to loud laughter. As soon as this baby hit my kindle, bam I was on it so fast I would of given both the Flash and Roadrunner a run for their money and I devoured each page just as quickly. Each book Esther writes is a guaranteed awesome read and the reader is captivated from the very beginning. No matter where you are in the book, your always engrossed no matter what and each book is always better than the last. I can't wait for more from the Lost Valkyries MC, because these guys I think are something extra special going off of Crane's story, in fact I think if this first book is anything to go by, I may need to invest in a walk in freezer cause cold showers are just not going to cut it.
