A deadly swarm of earthquakes shakes the planet. In the sky above, the sun appears to stand still. While the world reels from the vast destruction, George Pierce and the Cerberus Group, a team of scientific and historical experts, uncover an imminent threat straight out of history that must be stopped. But not everyone wants them to succeed.
An apocalyptic death cult, made up of suicidal martyrs and true believers who will do whatever it takes to ensure the destruction of all life on Earth, goes head-to-head with a billionaire tech-genius commanding an army of robots, on a quest to own the sun itself.
Caught in the middle, the Cerberus Group must fend off both sides while traveling to every corner of the map, and into the depths of myth and history, to find the holiest treasure on Earth—an artifact that can harness the power of creation. The prophecies are true.
THE END IS NIGH.

YAY!!! The Cerberus Group is back!!! It's no surprise that I love this series, given how much I love Erik Lazarus (AKA the REAL Bishop). Jeremy Robinson and Sean Elllis have combined to once again pen an awesome thrill ride of a book, that leaves you guessing up to the very last page, and even beyond. I love where the series has gone and I can't wait to see where it continues to go.
Hardcore fans of Robinson will love this book. Causal fans will love this book. Have not read one of his books yet? You will love this book.
So many things are right about this story. There are several story lines and they all fit in together so well. This book is well paced and runs the spectrum from religion to aliens. There is also a fair bit of humor in the book as well (running Indiana Jones gag, a wink to The DaVinci Code, and Lazareth tells a joke!)
Well written and the "facts" of this book seem very believable. Hope there is a book three coming.
Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis have written a wonderful sequel in their Cerberus series. Faced with earthquakes, solar anomalies, and suicidal terrorists, the group has to stop events that threaten the earth itself. This is a very thrilling book and is a great read.
It is great to be back with the Cerberus Group! This story by Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story starts with massive earthquakes, and continues into the world of wicked cults and killer robots. This was a fast-paced read, and I can't wait to see where the Cerberus Group goes next!
George Pierce finally gets to follow in the shoes of his silver-screen hero, Fiona learns more about her heritage and the mother tongue, and our old friend Bish—I mean, Lazareth continues to fight his inner demons. We find more hidden strings Alexander has manipulated behind history, and go for one hell of a ride in the process.
Cerberus Group—a spinoff of the Jack Sigler Chess Team series—never fails to deliver on a history driven, mystically inspired, action thrill-ride.
Oh boy this one had a lot of moving parts and they all intertwined fantastically in this adventure. The thrills and adventure do not take a backseat to the artefact hunt which will keep you guessing all the way through. I enjoyed the worldwide trip through time. The authors manage to get all the details right and I am sure this is due to some extensive research. Great adventure mixed in with some technology and an artefact hunt, I always love an artefact hunt. The performance was very good by one of the most recognizable voices in the industry. Drawing from his attention grabbing quickened pace in the tense scenes to his precise and mood changing descriptions it was a great performance. This was not my first performance by Kafer and I have come to enjoy his performances very much. You know just what you are going to get with him. A very good second edition to the series. I was gifted a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This in no way affected my opinion of this work.
I love how things come together. These stories bring things together I wouldn't expect to relate, yet they fit. Religion, gods, aliens, and so much more tie in threads to each other along with adventure. I get caught up and find I stop and listen, pausing to take it all in. I can see the connections! Myths and the way things were related in stories for what could have been something people lived through.
A real page turner. Interesting story with a strong pace and interesting characters although there was a tendency to veer off into "data dump" territory here and there. I recognize the need to clarify the science (or pseudo science as the case may be) and the authors did appear to keep it manageable but it did tend to slow things down a bit. Over all I enjoyed the story as it's generally among my interests but a healthy dose of reality suspension is necessary.
Helios was a great final(?) entry in the Cerberus Group series. It nods fondly to a great adventure flick without feeling like a ripoff of it, with original characters in several crazy situations at once, more than once. If you like the Chess Team thrillers by Robinson, you'll enjoy book 2 of this mini-series. Check it out!
One of the best books I've ever read. Could not put it down. It's very difficult to read books like this because there are so few a d you never know when another one will come along. Glad there swill be a continuation of the Cerberus Group but sad to see Jack Sigler go. He is one of my favorite characters along with the chess team
I actually liked this one better than book 1.While the goal is constantly changing for the group as they discover more clues, the end goal is to save earth from those wanting to destroy it.It is full of action and globe hopping.Interesting characters.Jeffrey Kafer is the perfect narrator.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.
A solid story and adds a little more to the mythos that the other novels in the series have established. The new characters were interesting and it never seemed to slow down or accelerate for no reason.
It definitely does a good job of setting up the next Chess Team/Cerberus Group Novel and I'm glad to hear we should be getting it sometime in 2019 so the wait shouldn't be too long.
During JR High school, I say the Indiana Jones movies and was hooked on historical/mythology myths. So the Ark of the covenant is one of those myths that combines religion and magic. Here the impossible is made real and the Cerberus Group is right in the middle of the action.
A complex action adventure. Good but not as good as some of his others. There are some parts that dive into non relevant info which is a bit different for JR, his books are typically very tightly written and every page has vital info. That said this is still better than many other books I have attempted to read.
Hello, this is a really good story. Very well written and entertaining. The amount of historical study that Mr. Jeremy put in this book is amazing. Damn good stuff. Thanks.
As always, another action-packed book by Jeremy Robinson. The Cerberus Group, an offshoot of the Chess Team, go in search of something to save the world and follow a Biblical treasure map in order to find it and come up against some very nasty enemies along the way.
In true Robinson style, the story that is weaved carries you from city to city in search of relics to hold even the most sinister at bay. Grab your passport and ride with Robinson and Ellis as they take you from Rome to Jerusalem in a whirlwind adventure . A Must Read series.
George Pierce and his Cerberus team are in a race to stop the end of the world. Chased around the globe as they hunt the ark to stop the Black Knight from eclipsing the sun. Good book, that moves at a nice pace.
The Cerberus Group is back, and this time the stakes are even higher. Filled with high-octane action, a grand mystery, and enough adventure to turn even Indiana Jones himself into Roger Murtaugh ("I'm too old for this... stuff."), Robinson and Ellis have outdone even their previous amazing outing with this group.
