Unwilling to allow the Darkness to take another life or dominate her own, Morgan and her Guardians must find a way to stop history from repeating itself. When Morgan finds an ancient spell that may do the trick will the Guardians assist her? And if they do how much risk are they willing to take?
So far I’ve liked this book the most. We saw a lot happen - the Morrigan is making herself and her desires known more, Morgan is growing, the guys are more instrumental, a decision is made, and....did they stop the apocalypse or not? Well, that’s still up in the air because while something did happen to make us believe they did the door is wide open and I have a feeling the Morrigan is going to rip it off the hinges!
Absolutely awesome. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. I think I said ok one more chapter until I realized there were no more chapters. There is enough drama and suspense to keep me wanting more.
We get to learn more about Morgan and her guards. With the Morrigan getting stronger the Raven Guards are trying to make sure catastrophic events do not occur. And Morgan still needs to make the ever important choice of who is to be her mate.
I like that book 3 takes place almost directly after the events in book 2. I like that for every question answered 3 more come into place. It's enough to make sure the story doesn't become boring without over whelming you.
So this book just didn't hit me like the first two in the series did. I was just bored. I felt like three books of prolonging her choice between chosing a mate was just boring. I felt like nothing happened in this book. Although so much happened. I was just so bored with her taking forever to chose a mate that the exciting stuff that happened in this book just didn't make the book enjoyable.
And what was that ending?! I am so entirely confused with that roof scene...
At this point, the only reason I am continuing is because she did finally choose and I want to see how that choice plays out in the rest of the series.
As always Angel Lawson delivers an amazing installment in the life of Morgan and her guardians.
Morgan is finally fed up with the Morrigan having any kind of control or say in what happens after her encounter with Anita and Xavier, so she works up a plan to defeat her once and for all.
I loved watching Morgan become more…herself. That’s the only way I can think to put it. She makes her decision and despite the protests of her guardians she sticks to her guns to cast a spell that puts her own life in danger. She more than ever must deal with the Morrigan trying to control her and convince her to let the darkness win. She continues to basically tell that bitch “bye” and fights her every step of the way even though she’s getting so much stronger.
There was a scene where she does FIGHT in the literal sense and it was glorious lmao she was powerful and made a point VERY clear to someone who dared disrespect or underestimate her. Not to mention flirt with her man haha.
Speaking of her man..men. She becomes more and more comfortable with each of her guardians and her feelings only develop to a point where she must ask herself the big questions…can she REALLY give up any of them? You’ll have to keep reading to find the answer.
I am falling more in love with this story as it progresses and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
I was lucky enough to beta read this book and let me tell you, it is totally awesome, and I voluntarily decided to review it.
Morgan is still learning more and more about her Raven guards and we also get to Know them more as well. The story continues from where book two left off, the Morrigan is getting stronger and Morgan and her boys are still trying to ensure that the past does not repeat itself
Morgan finds a spell which may help, but the boys are not sure the risk is worth it. Also, Morgan still has to make a choice as to who her mate will be
Full of intrigue danger drama and twists the story is getting even more exciting and for every question answered more appear which is keeping me on the edge of my seat. This series is so exciting and full of action and romance. Angel Lawson is a great story writer giving enough answers to satisfy yet also keeping you engaged and on the edge of your seat.
I highly recommend this book and if you have not read any of this series I highly recommend that you do so, a sting five star read
I was lucky enough to beta read this book, and I can't stress enough how well done this series is. There is so much tension and suspense, so much plot and relationship development, it's unbelievable.
This book picks up with Morgan in turmoil. The line has been drawn. The Morrigan is getting stronger. Even though Morgan is training and has the support of her ravens, she only manages to one up Morgan briefly. The danger to the world is real, but Morgan and the guys are determined to do whatever is necessary to stop the past from becoming the present once again. Morgan continues to get closer to each guard, but still can't choose just one. She comes up with an interesting alternative and she also has a suggestion as to how to best deal with the Morrigan. The guys aren't in agreement due to the risk to Morgan, but it's her decision.
This book has so many entertaining scenes including some sexy times. A couple characters make re-appearances and we also meet a few new ones. The guys continue to be perfect. They each fill a unique role. As one answer becomes clear, another mystery arises. The ending will take your breath away; leave you reeling wondering what comes next. It feels like we are nearing a critical point. Can't wait!
As Morgan grows in confidence, so too does the Morrigan. Morgan needs to convince her Ravens that her plan to kill the Morrigan is worth the risk to her own life. Why it took Morgan three books to decide to have five mates instead of choosing just one of them I'm not sure, but hopefully this will mean some fun reading to come. Fav Quote: "So very stupid. You’ll rip me from your side but that won’t stop me. You’re not the only one. Contingencies have been made. You slipped through my grasp once before. If you spit me out the regret you’ll have will make the angels weep. I don’t need you, mortal, you need me." Star ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
Rating all 6 books as 1 because they added up to about 800ish pages (19hours) combined and I listed to the full collection audiobook so the chapters were literally back to back so I have no idea when each book ended. This also makes no sense and should have book 2 books but I think it was a little bit of a Wattpad story to start with..
The overall story was a bit different from the norm which I liked enjoyed for the most part but the FMC erked me to no end as her personality started out okay but then started to become nothing but whiney as fuck but taking in the wording also made it extremely childish at times. The MMC's were decent, I just wish they were more prominent throughout the story as we didn't get much relationship development with any of them, making it mostly about herself.
If you were looking for a quick easy read then go ahead but I wouldn't recommend it 🙄💀
Ooo, the story really is heating up in this third instalment of the Raven Queen's Harem and I'm loving it, it's exciting. Black Magic picks right back up after the shocker at the end of book two. Morgan now has a tough decision to make and some hard situations to both mentally and physically battle herself through, which she does but not without its consequences. Some mysteries are revealed in this third book, but some more arise that are even more mysterious than the last. The end was a shocker, but it felt right however it's not over and I suspect that its only going to get harder from here on out. I really enjoyed this book and am loving the series. I can't wait to find out what happens next in book four, hopefully it won't be too long a wait.
So I made it through this one, three months after I initially started the series and this is where I end. Nothing of importance seems to be happening. Even the relationships between them all seems stagnant not to mention at this point or even before the end I thought she would have demanded she not choose a single 'mate' and instead demand they all be together. Sure there was a little motion when she demanded to do the ritual but I'm just not overwhelmed or even underwhelmed I'm just blah. I'm not moved with this one and as it's been so long and so many books have been in between this one I am moving on to something else. I tried but I just got too bored. Maybe I'll try again in the future.
The 3rd release in The Raven Queen's Harem series might just be my favorite so far but overall I think it is just a cumulative effect - the more time I spend in this world the more it and its characters grows on me. This, in turn, makes me wish there was just a little more - whether that's more to each novella or more detail within the events that take place, or even more about the characters, I can't really put my finger on. I really enjoy what exists, I just want more of it (stomps foot like a toddler). After the things that happened in Black Magic (and the things that didn't - can't be too specific here!) I am very much looking forward to the next part.
I loved the action in this book, the fighting and how strong she is without the Morrigan controlling her. I loved that she held her own against Hildi the Valkyrie. TWICE!! Morgan is totally badass and I love it!
I will say one thing however. . . I really wanted the group scene to be more than it was ;o) and god damn it when will Dylan just fully give in to her!! He's frustrating me haha.
Can't wait for the next one and to see what's in store for Morgan and her sexy guardians.
ByBrittany VanLanenon September 22, 2017 I love love love this series. The third installment is just as good as the first two if not better. Angel continues to develop the characters in such a great way. I really like way the MC isn't whiny, takes everything in stride and comes more into her own as person and grows into her role as The Raven Queen. She decides what she wants and is going to get it. I can't wait to see what is next for Morgan and her men!!!
The story and background infos of the characters are deeper, you're sucked right into it like always. Be prepared for gut wrenching feelings, outbursts of love and falling even harder for everyone of the characters! You'll feel the struggle of the MC as if it would be your own and it's just fantastic to see her development.
This part hasn't disappointed the least, it was beautiful and you'll get even more addicted as you've already been!
these book are written with some great form of reality it is as if the writeris living the dream it is wonderful and more than worth the effort to read but i am sorry to say that the amazon book loaded for part 3 will not allow me to read it the same goes for book 4, i am at my wits end as to how i can rectify whatever is the problem or the remedy murray.rh11@gmail.com
Holy smokes, for how quick I read this book I feel like an awful lot happened! The revelations, Morgan being such a clever little minx, all these sexy guys of hers, The Morrigan getting crazy, a Valkyrie thrown into the mix! Man, it was a lot and it was wonderful, Clinton is still me favorite but I’m starting to slide Dylan into first place in my heart! Can’t wait to see where Morgan’s choices get her in book four!
Readers did an excellent job telling the story!! There were times I wanted to literally crawl into the book and wring the main character’s neck for being so stupid about things but in the end she learned and she grew along with her five raven warriors. All of these books kept you glued and interested and just waiting to find out what would happen next in the battle of good versus evil! I don’t think I’ve read anything from this author before but I do plan on it in the future!!
This book is continuing the story of the Morrigan, Morgan. She wants to be free and asks the guys for help. They offer her what they can. The relationships develop great! Now this book will leave you wanting more. I could tell you how amazing it is but you need to read it for yourself. I was given this book for my review.
The series keeps getting better. In Black Magic, Morgan is getting stronger, she is learning to fight the darkness and starts really asserting herself and what she thinks should be happening. I love the guys and how we get to see a little of their uncertainty and jealousy. I. Ant wait to see what happens next!
I was lucky to get an ARC of this book, and voluntarily reviewed it.
Another success at leaving me wanting and craving more!!
I love this series. Morgan is such an amazing woman. Finding strength, love and all while the fates are destined to brinf her down. She maintains her kindness, he ability to love and more than one person at a time. I really did expect more from the spell however maybe the next book will give us some insight.
I felt this story was a turning point in The Raven's and Morgans life choices. They really have to band together to figure out what is happening and listen when they need to listen. Again, the story is fast, the details flow together nicely, and I didn't get lost in the details, more that I fell into them.
This is such a well written series. This is the third book and it's even better than the first two. Morgan has finally decided she's strong enough to fight the Morrigan with the help of her ravens. Morgan's relationships develop in this book also. I can't wait for the next book!
Another great book in the series. This series has kept me on the edge of my seat. There is enough drama and suspense to keep you wanting more. Pulling you in and not letting you go until the end. And then it ends and you want more. I’m looking forward to the next part.
Really enjoyed this installment of the series. I love the take on The Morrigan that the author creates. The story first avenue was brilliant. I’m going to snap the next book up next. Have found a new Author to obsess over! Five glittery stars!
This installment was kind of predictable. Other than the outings the guys took her own and the spell she'd found, one could have guessed what her choice was going to be. And the further involvement of Anita and Xavier was no surprise either. Only the ending left me wondering the results.
Wow! The shit sure hit the fan in this book! Let the games begin and the tests come rolling in! I loved every second of it! Steamy sex scenes with the Ravens and an impossible choice! Morgan and her men drive me nuts and I can’t wait for more!!!
A decision finally made. I hope there’s a bit more cohesion in the last three books. I still find that they are far to short, that the content is rushed and so much seems to be missing.
It's picking up alot more and it's still all mysterious. The ending didnt give too much which will lead you into the next. I enjoyed the relationships solidifying more and the fight scenes are great.
