Oh, my God, not another weird text…

I get loads of random messages from my admirers. But this one is strange — bizarre!

When suddenly a guy tries to molest me on the way home from the studio, a hunky stranger comes to my rescue. Now, I want to repay this sexy ex-SEAL for his kindness and hire him as my bodyguard. No misunderstandings, our arrangement should be a professional one.

But can I keep my eyes off him, and stick strictly to business?

This was a disappointing read for me. I did not enjoy the story. Actually, there was not really much of a story to go on. The thing I liked the most was that it was over. The characters were not interesting and it was boring. I wish there was more of a story, and character building. With what the book is, I found it disappointing. Overall, a meh read.

I hate giving out bad reviews but I have to be honest for my readers of my reviews this had no substance at all. I don’t like the characters it seems he doesn’t know or like him but she knows him. Nobody in their right mind would find a guy attacking the woman and not call the cops after he saved her so not realistic this book is just bad writing. I would not recommend this book. Sorry for the bad review I know how hard Authors work on their books but just chalk this one as a bleep in all the other amazing books you will write.

I have read several things by Arabella Steedly and have enjoyed them, but very disappointed here. There are way too many things that happen outside the story like how did she find out who the guy was that saved so that she could set up a time to meet him later. Then the story just ends. I don't mind happy for now endings, but so much was rushed right at the end and just left a bitter taste the way it ended. There is no character development and both of the main characters just come off unlikable. There is some steam but to me they are filled with so many clichés that they are not enough to make the story enjoyable at all.

Blair is a newscaster she is feeling good and living her best life. Lately, though she starts getting these odd short and poorly written texts. From a number, she doesn’t know. She assumes they are not for her.

On this day, the text she receives is bone-chilling because it is describing the dress she is wearing. Yet, when she stops to look around at her surroundings no one looks menacing. Or seems to be standing out as someone that would hurt her.

When she turns back around to go into the building she works in, a man who had been further back when she had looked around. Is now, in front of her putting his hand around her waist and another on her mouth. Pulling her into the alley. Just when she thinks that her struggles are a lost cause.

Feeling she will lose the fight for her life to this man she doesn't even know. A dark angel comes to her rescue. She comes to find out later his name is, Trey and he is a very tall, dark, and sexy man. Surrounded by mystery yet, she wants to hire him as her bodyguard. He does more than just guard her body. And it has never felt better.

This is a sexually charged yet, touching and can at times be an emotional piece of work that shows Trey dealing with things he went through while serving in the military. I give this: 4 stars. Found free on Amazon.

A disappointing read. Lots of dribbling juices and thrusting. Very little development of plot or character.

A short that ends abruptly, without warning, or promise of anything more to come.

Then again, after those 6 chapters I had had more than enough of everything but a good read.

I really don't like giving bad reviews but there are so many inconsistencies in this story. The end of the first chapter sees the main female character being attacked and being saved by a stranger, then he just walks away. No one calls the police. Then immediately in the second chapter she's meeting this stranger in a bar having a) found out his name - err, how? And b) had managed to contact him and agree a time and place to meet. How??? Then the story ends without really resolving anything.

This book ended very abruptly and honestly it just had a lot of bad points about it. It feels like this book was just thrown together in a hurry leaving out many details that were definitely needed. Going from being saved by a stranger who just walks away after he saves you to suddenly meeting up that night and you know his name. When did he tell you his name between saving you and just walking away? For that matter when did you decide to meet up? It just didn't really make much sense.

I found the mystique intriguing and though I started off not really liking the heroine of the story, both of the main characters were growing on me by the end. A quick entertaining read that borders more on a flight of fancy daydream by a horny old lady having a really boring day than it does reality.

It's a good short story but maybe too short.
Some parts are missing like when Blaire meets Trey for the second time : she doesn't know him and they never were introduce before, but she knows his name. So it would have deserve more pages.

A short steamy love story. Great characters, fascinating storyline and a damaged hero, what more could you want. I enjoyed this book and will recommend it to my family and friends.

This is the first book I've read by Arabella Steedly. This was a short story and not a lot of detail. A Seal romance that was missing how the characters met again. This story needs more depth to the storyline. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I realize this is a novella. Short story. Not a lot of details. BUT. in chapter one, the heroine is saved. Chapter two she walks in a bar to meet him. Nothing is ever mentioned on how they re-connected. And all they did was have sex.

A very short romance suspense story. I wish that the storyline was more developed and the ending didn't end so abruptly.

It was short, but decent. I felt like the author could have developed the relationship more between the characters and done more to provide solid closure to the book.
