I enjoyed this immensely. Regina "Reggie", has come to the big apple to take a chance on her long held desire of a career in dance. So on the evening of her celebrating getting a callback for an audition in a musical, which would have involved the solo drinking of boxed wine and a tasty stromboli. Or it would have if she hadn't had to tend to the victim of a gunshot wound and then by proxy herself becoming the victim of the same criminal. This is certainly a case of being in the wrong place at the right time. Reggie meets Jay's uncle at the hospital after ridding with him at the young man's insistence. And when Reggie and Hyuk meet, there is an intriguing layer of attraction. He offers her protection from an unidentified gunman, but soon opens his heart as well. Alon with a few of his secrets. These two made an interesting and easy couple. If only there were a second book! The ending was too quick and would have been better if Reggie had more time to process Hyuk's admission.
