Red Hot Kisses

Rate this book
One seasoned playboy who is determined to steer clear of relationships. One feisty freshman who is determined to steer clear of players. One red hit kiss that changes everything.

Stay away from Rushford Knight was the only rule my brothers gave me. But it’s my first year at Whitney Briggs University, my first year from out of the shadow of their wings, and I plan to discover who I really am. I’m pretty certain about one thing, I’m no longer interested in living under the dictatorship of the aforementioned brothers. Yes, Rush Knight is a player who’s only after one thing—but the last thing he’ll get from me is another notch in his belt.

I’ll teach both Rush and my brothers that sometimes life doesn’t play fair.

And neither do I.

I always love these stories especially since they’re all standalones. This book did not disappoint. The chemistry between Rush and Trixie is remarkable. One thing I did not like is Trixie and her “flight” issue. When things got hard she would try to run or she would get very defensive and not very nice. Rush like every other guy has times he was an idiot but overall i loved his character. Fierce and protective. Rush takes his “task” of looking after Trixie a little to far. Knox and Rex don’t want to allow Trixie to grow up but it's about time she starts to. I did like Trixie forwardness in the book. She made the first move.

** I received and Advanced copy of this book for an honest review**

First of, I have to say that Addison Moore books are amazing, and this book was very good too. The way the author describes the scenes and how easily one chapter follows to the other makes you read and read for hours, not wanting to stop. I liked how the chapters are divided by the perspective of the main characters, I have only read another book that did this, and is like you can see clearly two stories, two points of view while reading the same book. Rush is this gorgeous, great body, sexy, hot guy that has every single girl around him wrapped around his finger. And there Trixie and her two overprotective brothers. They all go to the same college, and just so happens that Rush and Trixie will have the most sexy and steamy road to get to know each other...you will sweat, laugh and enjoy this book I'm every chapter. I have to say I was a little disappointed as I was expecting a more adult setting, a little more adult content and I got a college setting. Now, that fact affected me personally as what my hopes were but the book and it's content were still great, I definetly see my self following in the other books if this series.

Rush and Trixie know each other through their siblings. They each attend Whitney Briggs and Rush is a junior while Trixie is a freshman. Trixie was quite caustic throughout this book and I found it hard to connect with her. Her immaturity knew no bounds and I had a hard time believing Rush would look at her twice, let alone find her even remotely attractive. When Trixie found herself uncomfortable, she would lash out. If she didn't want to deal with something, she would just run away from it. It got downright annoying at points and I didn't really care for her much. When someone intentionally degrades and utters words that are intended to hurt another person, I find them to be a bully and not someone worth knowing. I felt that way about Trixie. Rush was no saint but did change his ways throughout this book. He also had a tragic past and blamed himself for the death of his mother when he was a child. He thinks he is unlovable because his mother was taken from him in an accident that occurred while she was going to pick him up. He is still messed up about it years later and has some understanding about Trixie's hang-ups with long lines and feeling trapped. The book was an overall okay read but I had a hard time feeling their connection and that took away from it for me personally.

First of all I love the 3: AM Kisses serie. And this one wasn't an exception. I really loved the story of Rush and Trixie. This book is very well written and the characters are so real, passionate and loveble.

This book can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is amazing and a recommedation if you like romance.

I love these books just felt like their was too much back story like the past but nothing really in the present. Don’t get me wrong the book was good I just got bored easily and wanted both Trixie and Rush to be together more. Show how they really felt for each other.

It's taken me forever to read this book, but I finally did it! And, you know what? It was ok. I enjoyed myself. There were a few good laughs, some incredibly sweet moments, and a bit of exploration into trauma and healing. But I also had a couple of issues with it. We'll get to that in a moment.

We follow our main characters, Trixie and Rush, as they slowly fall hopelessly in love with each other. Trixie is ready to step out of her brothers' shadows when she starts her first year at Whitney Briggs University. However, her older brothers have one rule for her to follow: stay away from Rushford Knight. Rush is known as the university's player, with a reputation the size of a mountain, and he wants to keep it that way... until he sets eyes on Trixie. When Trixie goes against her brothers' wishes and ends up sneaking a hell of a kiss with Rush, sparks start to fly between the two. But Trixie isn't falling for the player and refuses to become another notch under his belt. Or, at least, that's what she thinks.

Red Hot Kisses is filled with your typical university shenanigans and a ton of humor. The majority of the jokes will make you laugh. As I said, when these two characters start acknowledging the chemistry between them, it is so sweet. Rush literally is made out of honey with the gestures he does for Trixie. It is adorable. We discover that both of them have anxieties that were caused by their past trauma, Rush dealing with grief and Trixie dealing with family betrayal. The fact that Trixie has a hard time standing in a line with more than three people is extremely relatable. And it's very comforting to see them get closure and to start healing with each other. But with that said, let's talk about the couple things I wasn't fond of.

Ok, I don't necessarily want to call it slut-shaming but boi, do they hammer into your brain that Rush is a no-good man slut. Look, I don't mind when something is mentioned every now and again, but every time Rush enters the scene, somebody, including Trixie, has to remind you that he has slept with multiple girls. And it's not just one time either. There will be like five or more paragraphs telling you that he is disgusting, that he is a man-whore, that he can't possibly stop himself from sleeping with people because he is so horny, and I don't think that's ok. Especially when he says to people that he no longer wants to be a player and that he wants to put that lifestyle in the past. And despite that, Trixie, herself, uses that as a way to get under his skin, and it's all jokes until the tenth time she's brought it up. Like, I just don't care. Speaking of Trixie, she's a fun, quirky, and humorous character with some bite, and that's great. However, her humor, as well as her quirkiness, can be overwhelming and unrealistic at times, which would completely get on my nerves in those moments. Lastly, this book could've been under 200 pages. Don't get me wrong, I love details, but it just felt like it would go on and on about one thing and just keep dragging on.

In conclusion, did I like it? Yeah, I did. Do I see myself reading more books from this series? Probably not. Do I recommend it? I think it really depends on the person and if they like the new-adult-university kind of setting. I'm giving this 3.5 stars.

As always, I really enjoy heading back to Whitney Briggs because the stories that happen there are pretty amazing and this is the series that made me fall in love with Addison Moore’s work. As I’ve read each book, I’ve noticed that Addison’s writing just improves each and every time. If you ever suggest something that she needs to improve on, she always takes it into account and does her best to try and use that feedback within the next book she writes and I honestly think that’s amazing of her, because now a days, it’s not often that you are able to give some feedback to authors in your reviews without the author completely flipping at you and I honestly admire Addison for taking everything so well. I know for a fact that I’m going to keep reading Addison’s work for a long time as she manages to keep me hooked until the end. I’m really looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

With Rush and Trixie, I was hooked until the end of the book, I thought that this book was just done perfectly, don’t get me wrong there was times when I just wanted to shout at Rush because of how much of an idiot he was being, but that’s guys for you. Plus, I always think that if an author can get you wanting to shout at their characters then that’s a bonus for them. I found the storyline easy to follow, but not that easy that you’d find it boring, easy that there was nothing complicated about it and that you didn’t end up being left confused. That’s another thing I love about Addison’s writing, she does what she can to make sure that you’re not left feeling confused with how the storyline is. I do think that the way things turned out in this book was amazing and honestly, I think Addison did another amazing job. To both of Trixie’s brothers, she’s the good girl who gets up to no trouble, but honestly, she’s starting to get fed up of that title and wants to be able to find out who she is. The last thing that she expected to do was drag the one boy who she had been sworn off up into a dark room…. It’s like she’s been cursed with a spell, but in reality, she knows what she’s doing, but for some reason she can’t seem to help but want more. That is until someone walks in and the disturbance drifts them apart, will she be able to just stop at the one time or will she give into temptation and want more.
Rush on the other hand hasn’t been able to get Trixie out of his mind since the first time he saw her, but he knows for a fact that she is off limits and that’s mainly due to her brothers, but also due to the fact that he thinks he doesn’t deserve love. He pretty much is a player considering he has a different girl in his bed every night, but he’s starting to get bored and fed up with living life like that, but there’s 1 girl who may be able to get him to stop his matressing ways for good….

Ah an exciting hot, red hot, trip back to Whitney Briggs!!! This time around we get to watch the campus mattress king Rush Knight fall for Freshman Trixie Toberman. When Rush is suppose to look at Trixie as a little sister seeing as her brothers are Knox and and Rex who put Rush in the position to look after her. Not only that but his little sister is her best friend and roomie. Trixie is a good girl who is ready to grow up, best part is she has a snarky attitude! So when Trixie is tired of being treated like a child, and decides one night to find out what all the rave reviews the master panty dropper are all about. One make out session in a frat house bathroom sends their lives in a upside down crazy ride of dirty little secrets, deep denial, and breaking down old barriers. With Addison’s writing we get to take the emotional ride along with some of our favorite Briggsters. With the 3:AM Kisses series not only can they be read as a series but each one can be read as a stand-alone. Each and every one leaves me with a favorite couple and I seriously can’t pick just one!!

I was so lucky to receive an ARC copy of this in exchange for my honest review and all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Red Hot Kisses by Addison Moore is probably the best Kisses book out there. You can tell Addison put her heart and soul into this one. Each page was crafted with beautiful descriptions of fall and the blossoming of true love. We have Trixie Trouble is my Middle Name Toberman as the female lead in this book. Let me tell you, I thought a lot of the other Briggs girls had attitude, but Trixie is her own brand. She’s feisty and has the most caustic bite but still manages to pull it off like one might in person. These characters came alive on these pages. I’ve always been enchanted by Rush while also disgusted by his philandering ways, but we find out he has his reasons for it, and it makes complete sense. It isn’t a senseless stream of girls but a coping mechanism of sorts. Trix was his wake up cal and believe you me, this player needed one. I’m so glad I got to see a different side to Rushford Knight in this red hot novel. Trixie and Rush are a match made in heaven—or hell. Whichever but they’re a perfect fit. I was so super glad to see Rush had changed and Trix had a part to play in it and it was amazing to see Trixie grownas a person. Another PERFECT book set on your favorite college campus. Whitney Briggs University waits for you!

4 Stars!

Welcome back to Whitney Briggs! You're in for a red hot ride!

You all remember Rush Knight, campus manwhore? Well, this is his story and you're going to love it! Trixie Toberman (sister to Rex and Knox, step-sister to Scarlett) is a freshman at WB. She is explicitly warned by her brothers to stay away from Rush Knight. So, what does she do? She drags Rush into a bathroom and plants a big one on his sexy lips. Trixie kinds of hates Rush, but she can't stop thinking about the kiss.

Lots of angst in this one! Addison Moore is the queen of college romance and the master of snark. I love this series to death! Familiar faces continue to pop up bringing a sense of nostalgia. Trixie and Rush are great! You will root for them and especially Rush. He gets his redemption in this book and you find out more about his back story. You can't help but fall in love with the boy!

(I also love that Addison Moore continues to write this series and was psyched to see another book coming!)

Fall in love with this book, this series and these characters! You won't regret it.

Sweet!! Another Awesome WB Hookup!!
No matter which story I read about Whitney Briggs University they never get boring.
They are some of the most Hysterical and Heartwarming Stories EVER!!!

Rush and Trixie's story had me giggling throughout the book. Trix is one that defintely has no filter on her mouth, lol. And boy can she be mean at times, whoa.
Rush is truely a college jock in all ways, if you know what I mean.Between his reputation and having Rex, Trixies brother, as a bff he is headed down a dangerous road. And boy oh boy is that road bumpy, hehe.

Fantastic Story! Laugh yourself silly at times and have those Aww moments inbetween. Awesome.
You just gotta Love Addison Moore and her crazy stories at Whitney Briggs University!!!!

Must Read in my book!!

Wholly Hotness! Addison Moore does it again! She likes to always have my panties wet and stomach on fire from the heat level in her books! Without a doubt, Addison Moore's 3:AM Kisses Series is amazing and this book was no exception.

Rushford Knight (AKA Rush) ... Just the name alone makes your panties melt. He is quite the Whitney Briggs player and man-whore. Yes total man-whore, but oh so sexy! I love how easily he fell for Trixie and her sass. He not only loved her body, but everything else about her as well.

Trixie Toberman ... She is so sassy and feisty! I love her character. She puts up quite the front to keep anyone from getting too close and from getting her heart broken. She falls hard for Rush and it all started because she was told to "stay away from him".

There is something about Whitney Briggs that always keeps me coming back for more. Until we meet again...

4.5 STARS! I'm a huge fan of Addison's books and I just love this series! I was feeling down and in a reading slump and this fixed it fast! I love the WB world and all its characters and Trixie and Rush were so much fun! I loved how their relationship evolved and the reveal of their backstories. Trixie has a prickly personality and a has quite the snarky mouth. She can seem cold or intimidating to some, but give her a chance and you'll see the great girl underneath that facade. Rush is yummy and not the shallow boy toy people think he is....

Of course there are plenty of smexy times in this book, as well as humor and drama, but the main focus was on resolving past traumas and the power of friendship and family. I read this almost in one night-I stayed up late because I didn't want to put it down. If you're looking for contemporary romance books with great characters, and laugh out loud dialogue, I definitely recommend this series! I received an advanced e-copy in exchange for an honest review. Thanks so much!

I voluntarily read an ARC for an honest review. I love Addison Moore, bite this book there me a bit. It starts right away and I felt like I was missing huge chunk of the story and backstory. Maybe it would have been easier if I'd read the previous book in the series. Some of the names sounded familiar but these books contain a huge list of characters since they are college based. Trixie is a freshman with a huge cop on her shoulder. Her twin brother, older brother, and older step-sister all attend the same college. She feels overwhelmed and under-appreciated.
Rush is an older student that Trixie has known for years and who she sees as a manwhore. Suddenly, she decides to have a go at him to test her limits. Rush has always found her beautiful but forbidden. Let the games begin! There is fun, drama, misunderstandings and misdirection. Lots of angst and sexy times as well! Addison never disappoints when she brings her stories to life!

So what can I say about book 15!! Yes 15!!
The story of Trixie and Rush! Such a cute couple..now they are but they haven’t always been!
On a night out at the Black Bear the local hang out. Trixie’s brother told her to never fall for a guy like Rush... a guy that has put out to almost every girl on campus.
The problem there is that by just saying that sentence it does the opposite to her. She instantly seeks him out and begins a make-out session with him and Rush doesn’t mind at all!

What a total mess!! She has feeling for him... he has feelings for her but she says she loves him but he can’t say it back... total relationship buster!!
He needs to deal with what happened to his mom. She also needs to fix her relationship with her mom. It’s the only way they can be together!!

As usual I cannot wait till the next book!!

Addison Moore brings the HEAT again in the 3:AM Kisses Series. While it's in a series it's a complete standalone. I wanna say this book was AMAZING!

Rushford Knight (AKA Rush) the campus manwhore of Whitney Briggs seems to have met his match in the snarky, quick witted, sassy freshman Trixie Toberman. As much as she tries to keep Rush behind her walls, he finds a way around them.

Addison Moore writes such believable, relatable characters you can't help but to fall in love with them. Watching Rush and Trixie at times I wanted to shake them both and scream WTF are you doing???? The chemistry between them is slow burning. And I loved that about them. I can't wait for more from the gang at Whitney Briggs!

Yet another amazing story in the 3:AM Kisses series by Addison Moore. Red Hot Kisses is a great romantic comedy filled with laughs along with some great stories that are written across the pages and chapters. I loved Rush's character. He may be cocky, full of himself - but is that all there is about him?! Definitely not and I significantly enjoyed how the author unleashed/uncovered this character's personality. He improved chapter to chapter and was absolutely delicious in all his male glory!! Trixie's character had me laughing on and off throughout Red Hot Kisses. She was a terrific character and I loved everything about her. Some of Trixie's comebacks in the book are absolutely priceless! This latest book reinforced the reasons I loved Addison Moore's stories and how I cannot get enough of this series!!

I'm a huge Addison Moore fan & I adore this series!!!
We're once again brought back to Whitney Briggs! Rush & Trixie's story is red hot for sure! Super steamy!!!
Trixie's warned by her brothers to stay away from Mr Popular Rush Knight ;) Ummm NO, that KISS though lol
I love the banter, I love all the other characters I adore from the rest of the series popping up, so much steam, angst, funny moments! This book and series is the complete package and probably one of my most reread series!

I'm sure you'll fall in love with both the leads, I know I did!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from this devoted fan! I highly recommend the entire series :)

She hits another one out of the park! Hello fellow Whitney Briggs alumni. This story is about Trixie and Rush and how they love-hate each other. I love Trixie and how she's feisty, funny and filterless. Rush is *sigh*, the man on campus and the book guy who currently makes me swoon. It's a tad bit too hard for Trixie to see how Rush is like due to her two brothers who are good friends with Rush who make sure she stays away. Trixie is wanting to meet the elusive Rush to see for herself and judge him at the same if he's worth it. Will she go behind her brothers back? Will she listen to her brothers and stay away? Grab this book now and find out what happens with Trixie and Rush.

Rush is a very cocky boy, “oh, honey, I’m an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert.” I can’t help but grunt it out with pride." Trixie knows what buttons to push to get a reaction out of Rush, "a fire line of rage rips through me, and all I see is red. “Are you trying to make me jealous?” I liked this book, I fell in love with Rush and Trixie.

I just couldn't get past all the woman-woman bashing. All girls in that university were sluts or hos and having the heroine refer to them as such instantly made her very unattractive. Also I'm ok with attitude- but she was just downright mean. This was all in the first 20% of the book btw. So this was a dnf for me.

One of the better later ones in the series

I've followed this series from the start and I must say this is one of the better ones as of late. Funny characters with their own share of baggage and heartache. A little less steamy than the rest of the books but maybe with a little more realistic and humorous take on the deed.

Great story!

Who knew that telling someone to stay away from one person would lead to them falling in love? I love how that one little conversation lead to two people finding each other and working out their issues with the past. Great love story with a happy ending! Can’t wait to see what is next for this group...

Trixie & Rush were hot from the beginning. You could tell between the banter they yelled back at each other that they liked each other. They just weren't sure how to handle or process it till they were both ready too admit it.

Addison did it again. i was sucked in from the first page.
