Rhennan is next in line to be Oracle, the one chosen by the Creator to guard the secret of Heaven – The Tree of Life. Rhen's grandmother, the current Oracle, gives her a beautiful pendant for her birthday. Soon after, strange things start happening, and Rhen sees things she shouldn’t. Coming into her powers before her time, Rhen believes she’s going crazy.

Maddox Bell is the new guy at school. When the tall, good-looking bad-boy shows up in his leather jacket and moto boots, all it takes is one look into his sapphire eyes, and he makes Rhen forget about her ex-boyfriend - the one who broke her heart. As Maddox and Rhen become closer, things get stranger, threatening to rip them apart.

When Rhen makes one wrong decision, her life and that of her family, is irrevocably changed forever.

The Guardians of Truth is a YA fantasy series revolving around 2 sisters and their journey of discovery.

Ever since certain Angels fell from Heaven, they have been searching for the Tree of Life. The Tree holds the Truth of the Heavenly Throne, and they are determined to take it from the Creator.

The Guardians - half Angel and half human - were created to protect the Oracle and her family.

Nephilim are the product of humans and demons, and it is their job to help the Fallen Angels get closer to the Oracle and discover the Truth. As the sisters find out, good isn’t always dictated by the blood in your veins.

The Fallen get closer to the Truth, and it will be up to the sisters to figure out who they can trust. One wrong move can destroy Heaven.

Follow Rhennan and Nikira Ward as they learn who they really are and what that means for their future.

Fantasy with a bad boy? Yes, please! I was totally willing to indulge in Oracle as soon as I had read the blurb. Not to mention Nephilim... I'll always have a soft spot when it comes to them.

Before I'm going to start my review, I have to say that it's been quite some time since I had such a love / hate relationship with a novel. To clear that up: I went from nearly hating and getting annoyed by Oracle to loving it and wanting more.
My challenge? Trying to explain that evolution to you!

In his plain white T-shirt and black leather jacket, Maddox looked like a goth James Dean.

When I started reading, I expected the first couple of chapters to be slow, to ease into the world and slowly caption my complete attention. The contrary happened, though! I was thrown in the deep end immediately.
It only took a couple of sentences for Maddox to arrive at the scene, being the typical bad boy he is, and capture Rhennan's attention. Cue the kind of insta-love trope making a stormy entrance.
I don't necessarily have anything against tropes, but this is just the one trope that I keep having some difficulty with.

Let's add Rhennan's personality. She got on my nerves at times. Her feelings were all over the place throughout the first part of the novel and - maybe because I wasn't like that - at eighteen years old, I'd expect a little more.. maturity? Less naivety? For some reason, Rhennan was just that and it bothered me to no end.
She kept changing her mind about more than one subject, made those opinions clear in both actions, words and thoughts and then went the other way again. Why not?!

"How do I do that? How do I tell the one person who's been there for me for so long everything I need to say to her? How do I tell her goodbye for the last time?"

Just when I was at the point of saying "Nope, I'm not liking this novel", Copeland took me by surprise and made me fall in love with her writing, with the world of Nephilim and Guardians.
The moment Rhennan grew up a bit more. The moment both she and I started piecing together more and more of what exactly was going on. The moment I lost myself in the twists and turns Andi Copeland created. Loved it!

I liked Andi's writing throughout the whole novel. It's very direct, yes, and I know that isn't everybody's cup of tea. And while, at times, it feels way too detailed - figuratively speaking, I could really go without knowing when Rhen puts her left foot in front of her right or vice versa - the story does have a flow, a steady one, that keeps its pace throughout the entire novel. It made me enjoy reading even when I didn't like the content all that muchScratch that, I did like the content, I just didn't like Rhennan and that can be a problem when it's written from a first person POV, huh?
Anyway, because of the pace, I really did fly through the pages.

Rating this novel was both easy and hard at the same time. I ended up loving it! So it should be easy, right? Right? Nope! The dislike was still there and I can't just ignore that.
But.. being able to keep hold of a reader while she gets frustrated over and over again with the MC is a talent in its own. As such, 4 / 5!

I liked the Oracle, the general world building was fabulous, and the flow of the story was good. The story held my attention until the last page.

The ambiance in the story was similar to Cassandra Clare's City of Bones - novel. And of course, there are similarities as far as the ages of the characters go. The back story is the familiar too, the eternal battle between good and evil. The heavenly creatures are trying to fight the beasts of hell and protect what is theirs to guard.

Rhennan lives her life as she knows it until her 18th birthday. She receives a pendant from her grandmother and everything changes. She starts to have these dreams that feel almost real, dark and mysterious Maddox enters her life and things begin to happen. Bit by bit, the truth is revealed to her, and she feels the huge responsibility weighing on her shoulders. There are Guardians and Nephilim, blood-thirsty demons and a whole supernatural universe that Rhennan had no idea of.

Rhennan is 18 years old, and it shows - teenage tantrums, stupid an irrational behavior, mood swings, you name it, it's there. And I didn't like her or her sometimes very self-centered ways or the way she treated her Guardian. It would have been vital, for me to love to book, that I had liked the heroine.

But still, Andi Copeland has written a very good YA fantasy book that I will recommend to my daughter in a couple of years when she gets a bit older.

Andi Copeland brings a whole new look at Angels and Demons, myth, romance, and action impacted into this first edition of The Guardians of the Truth series. Rhennan’s semi-normal life is about to be turned upside down. Angels and Demons are beginning a war and Rhennen’s family is right in the middle of it.

With the arrival of Maddox, a mysterious teen, at Rhennan’s school – she can’t help but feel very strange around him. Both of attraction and something deeper, darker than she could ever imagine. Then her father and grandmother begin to act strange around her until the truth of their hidden heritage comes out of the woodwork.

It’s a story of growth, tradition, and the battle between good and evil on a whole other scale!

Brilliant! Just Brilliant! I know I have said this before about Faith Gibson’s books but, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Oracle! Oracle is a young adult book. This is meant for teenagers to read but, even an adult, namely me can love this book. The author means that 14 and up can read this. There is a mention of sex but, to quote the author “not the down and dirty details”.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about reading a young adult book. But, let me tell you I loved the story. I encourage any age group to read Oracle. Yes, it is just that good! I can’t tell you about the book because everything I would say would be a spoiler. But, let me tell you I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in 1 go. Oracle is a page turner. I just hope you love this book the way that I do! I can’t wait for the next book in this series and know that I surprised by how much I loved this book!

Release Day Hoarder Review ❤️️❤️️❤️️
Andi Copeland The Oracle is live today! It's a Young Adult Fantasy and y'all it did not disappoint!

Here's my five star review! FIVE FREAKING STARS! I can't stress enough how much I loved this book!

Rhennan is a normal teenage girl until she's not!!!!! Her journey is epic! Andi creates does an immaculate job at world building. You'll become completely submersed in Rhennans story. You'll feel everything right along with her!
There's love, heartbreak, and suspense! If you haven't taken a chance on a young adult I urge you to try this one! I don't read a lot of young adult but this one completely floored me!
I admit I even shamelessly messaged the author to see when the second book would be out! I simply can't wait to see how the story continues!!!!!

Congratulations Andi! I can't wait to see what else you put out!

Great start to the series. This is a new exciting read for me, I usually don't read YA but I already loved the take on this supernatural universe. Rhennan Ward hasn't had a great time lately, stupid ex boyfriends and secretive family history. Maddox Bell shows up and they are drawn to each other but who can she trust? How is she going to figure out what she can do or who she is? This book has intrigue, I was drawn in right off the bat with this fresh idea and I loved it! It's nice to read something that is not always vampires/shifters. There are other paranormal things that should take center stage! I can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

Andi Copeland is a new author to me as well as this genre. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. This was a book that I was able to read with my teenage son and he loved it just as much.

Rhennan was in her last few months of high school and had her future all planned out….that was until Maddox Bell walked into her classroom and her whole life changed. They had an immediate connection that she couldn’t understand. Was it infatuation? Only time would tell. Then there were family secrets. And her tree of life pendant.

I really do hope there is a second book. I highly recommend Oracle.

I devoured this book it was so good. My daughter read it and recommend it to me and I'm so glad she did I was absolutely gripped from beginning to end and can not wait for the next one to find out what happens next. I normally have 1or 2 characters in a book I love but with this book there are at least 5 that I love and can't decide which ones I love more. Or who I want Rehn to be with in the end I love Maddox and Talon but also Justice and Scanlon stole my heart. Definitely worth the 5 stars and I would very highly recommend this book to everyone.

I had become disillusioned with reading YA, they all seemed the same. Until I started reading this! I knew immediately that I was going on a journey and couldn't wait to see where I was taken. I did not put this book down! The world the author has created is easily envisioned, and the characters are well thought out and developed beautifully. The story line moves quite quickly and will seriously have you flicking pages at a frantic speed, until you get to the end.......and then you cry because you realise you will have to wait for book 2!!!!! Now impatiently awaiting bk 2!

Great fantasy book, with a normal girl who finds herself in a supernatural situation. Though I think it could have had a better ending. It leaves quite a few unanswered questions and it looks like book 2 is the story about the younger sister who develops powers of her own when she turns 18. So I am not sure how much that book will focus on answering the questions left in this story. But one can always hope.

I never read YA or Fantasy and decided to take a chance on this one! I LOVED IT! Andi’s writing was amazing- and captured my attention from the start. The characters were well written and you really felt you knew them – all of them! You think teenage girl falls for bad boy – but there is so much more than that! The story was wonderful! I am definitely looking forward to the next book!!!

Oracle by Andi Copeland, Jay Aheer. This is a very interesting story of Rhennen a high school senior who has a strained home life. Her boyfriend dumped her at the end of her junior year when he was going off to college. Her mother is very cold and stand offish. There is some sort of contention between her parents and her grandmother who she loves dearly. Now a new guy has started school and for some reason there is some sort of pull between the two. She is trying to handle this the best she knows how. All she knows is that she is some type of Oracle. Maddox is not who he says he is. He has his eye on Rhennen and has every intention of making her his. Rhennen however has some sort of gift but for some reason she cannot get the full story as to what her gift is from her grandmother and how it works. She does know that there is something about Maddox she cannot quite figure out. This is a story of a gift and world Rhennen never knew existed. Now she is trying to find her way in this world. Now she has to figure out who she can trust and who is telling her the truth. I have not read anything like this story before and I can say I really liked this story. The premise was something new and different. I am truly looking forward to the continuation of this story. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of the book. I give this story 5 stars

When I started reading Oracle I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not typically a reader of YA or fantasy. That said, I fell in love with this book from the first chapter.

Author, Andi Copeland has delivered a story about the age old rivalry of Good vs Evil in a most spectacular way. As in life, in Oracle, nothing is cut and dry. Just when you think you know what the next chapter holds, Ms. Copeland throws a curve ball and leaves you wanting more. The flow of the story carries you to places you least expect and were glad you went.

This book may be categorized as YA, but it's a perfect read for all mature readers. There is enough romance, adventure, suspense and excitement to please everyone. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to escape reality with a well written book.

I rate this book 5 stars and cannot wait for the next book.
