Rate this book
Mia
I was sent to my brothers motorcycle club to cover his back and to make sure he stayed safe. Only to find the man of my dreams in his best friend and president Reaper. I am normally a person who likes to be alone and to watch over others of my family but today while I stare down at the Devils Guards president, I wish for only one thing. Please make him mine....

Reaper
I'm one mean bastard when it comes to protecting my club and their families, but when I see this small delicate woman staring down at me from that water tower. I knew I had just found the woman who will be mine in all the ways that matter. I just have to get her to stay still long enough, so I can make her understand that was what was going to happen and there was no way of stopping it....

I really liked it, but definitely needs an editor. Really bad writing, but I liked the story. Didn't like the ow drama, but thankfully didn't last long. The h was only gone for a few hours, so I don't call it a really separation. I didn't care for how he didn't put the h before the ow at first. He made up for it but still, didn't like it. Don't know why I like these books, bad editing, but I just can't stop reading.

this book... there is so much wrong with it that I am still trying to wrap my mind around this book.

first lets talk about the 21 year old virgin heroine. 21 years old. still a virgin but can sharp shoot over a mile, get in and out of any situation without being seen or heard. she is a tiny little thing but can carry a full grown buck on her back and swing it around like its nothing, (even knock a sweetbutt out with it 😂) and lets not even start talking about the sex talk during the smut/ sex scenes. Really what 21 year old virgin starts calling a guy "daddy" right out of the gate?? IMO it was just creepy. I honestly did not see how it fit into the story, seriously if you were to edit that daddy calling out of the book it would not change the story one bit.

so now we have this bad ass heroine who is 21 and can do all these skills that take normal people years and years to develop just walks in takes out a crew and then instantly fall in love with the Hero. If I read the book right it was all done in less than a week. so in that week she falls in love, looses her virginity, calls her man... "daddy" 🤢 gets pregnant, and yes the doctor was able to miraculously tell her she was pregnant. and then with the help of her dad, mum and brothers they were able to take down a US Senator. With some falsified police reports no one questions the missing senator??????????????? then the President of the United Staes gives them money on the in top secret for taking this Senator out.............. that is not how that works.

I understand this a fictional book, but damn I had no idea that it was also a fairy tale.

How?

This book was SO riddled with glaring, egregious errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax it's the equivalent to an editing Armageddon. Attempting to complete it was frustrating and headache inducing. There really are compound words, they exist for a reason. That reason was lost here. There are entire paragraphs that make absolutely no sense the way they are written. Somewhere here there was a good story, too bad it got buried under the weight of bad writing and non-existent editing.

3. Stars

So this gets a couple of stars for being entertaining and for reading quickly. It didn’t drag so that’s a definite plus.
It loses so many stars for lack of editing though.
And continuity problems. Someone needs to explain to me how a woman can get shot in her FEMORAL artery and 1. Not bleed out within minutes and 2. Have back room surgery and wake up from sedation within minutes and 3. Be walking around, having sex, and JUMPING down on her two feet in the same day?
There also lies in continuity problems. We have no idea when the days are. There are no definitive Day breaks so reading this it almost seems like it is within 2 days or so.
The I love yous are immediate, the betrayal was out of character, the ott actions of all the characters but especially the female ones were eye roll inducing.
The lack of knowledge of the US but written in the US as a setting was irritating.
But yet, it was entertaining and I am going to read book two. *shrugs*

What in the ever loving...

I don’t even know where to start. Mia (the h) saves her brother MC. At this stage she meets his prez Reaper (H). It is clearly not written in the book, but it felt like in the span of 2 days the h meets H, saves his life, stabs a club girl, 2 people, kills a deer, loses her virginity, gets shot in the femoral artery (almost bleeds to death), climbs up and down the roof & has sex the same day she got shot in the leg, kills more people and somehow manages to get pregnant.

It’s 100% unbelievable and makes me wanna pound my head into a wall.

It didn’t help that there were so many stinking grammar/spelling/word choice errors. So many times in the book where the author should have used “too” they used “to”. The punctuation was wrong through out it. Thankfully it was a quick read. Would I recommend this book? No. Hands down needs a re write.

loved this story

i loved this story. Instant attaction and hot to trot chemistry within a Mc. Mia wow how i loved her personality and the fact that she was a strong and capable women, who is so good with weapons and trained in so much. As for Reaper i had to laugh, he really has not met a women like Mia before but everything she does just does it for him.
Mia is sent by her Pops to her brothers MC to protect them and just as well as she did as she stoped just about half the MC getting killed. It seems that someone is out to take out the MC but who. The answers to that keep on coming. Reaper stuffs up majorily but is soon forgiven. It seems that someone is immitating another club.

You dont want to miss this exciting story with an instant love and so many good characters which you dont want to miss reading about.

Needs work

The story in this book has promise. The characters are likable. The action is good, but there are major problems. First is the passage of time, as in there doesn't seem to be much. The story seems to go from Mia & Reaper meeting to falling in love to Mia pregnant all within a day. There is no indication of the amount of time passing. Secondly is the language used. This book is based in El Paso, Texas but the characters are using words such as arse on a regular basis. No one from Texas says arse. Also the author seems to think New Mexico is in Mexico when it is actually a state in the US.

Hmm

Ok, this is my first time reading this author. First I actually really did like the storyline. There were a few grammar errors like shot instead of shoot. But it didn’t take away from the story, for me anyways. But here’s what did.... The whole Daddy thing. I’ve read books where the h called the H daddy and it didn’t bother me. In this book it totally creeped me out. I actually cringed every time( which was a lot) I read it. Also, the whole seed convo.. again was just dumb. Spread the story out. Make it more then one or two days, it’d be more believable. I will be reading the next one.

I liked the story my issues come from too many British words like using bloody as a curse repeatedly mum instead of mom ,and arse for ass.American English when it's supposed to be set in the US is important.Ive also noticed this in the second book using the spelling of tire as tyre and a bit of mispelling as well. This series only needs an editor and spell check to be selling like hot cakes.Im not sure if the author reads the reviews but please take my advice have it re edited and published you will make a killing .These books have the promise of being top sellers to MC lovers but not like they are now .

Thoughts: Holy cow this book needs a lot of work! Editing...just...everything. It was also extremely just extra..but I kinda had to read it all the way..it was like a trainwreck that I just had to watch..I hate that I'll have to continue this series, but I kinda have to, I heard there was a psychic one and I've yet to read one of those.

Great idea, horrible editing!

The idea for this story is a good one, but would be better with more background. I felt like Reaper and Mia met and got together in a few seconds. His trust issues and her forgiveness of it came unnaturally quick. I have issues with the timing of some other things, also. If you read, you will know what I mean. I enjoy reading this author's books, but find myself editing them as I go along. It really takes away from the books and hasn't gotten better in newer books. If you can deal with those things, the book is an entertaining read.

Mia is asked to keep an eye out for her brother who is VP to the Devils Guard MC. She knows about the President of the MC Reaper and is attracted to him but right now she needs to keep his MC safe.

All it takes is for Reaper to hear Mia's voice to know she is going to be his Old Lady. A threat though is surrounding the club and he also has to keep his woman safe even if she is intent on doing her part in the protecting.

Started off good but got a bit silly towards the end. Had the whole Daddy thing going on which I couldn't wrap my head around during the throws of passion moments.

Ok

The story it's self has lots of potential and is fairly good, except she made Mia an over the top super woman .She made the male alpha love interest as a bit of a dumb ass. I do not care who you are you are not going to be up and walking immediately after surgery on your femoral artery. Plus the author needs a good editor who knows when to use " their " and there're. Then there is the fact that this is an American MC capital M capital C. We say wrench not spanner and ASS not arse especially in Texas. I will be reading the next book in the series .

wouldn’t recommend this book

Story started off with potential then the author seems to forget what she’s actually written I.e h tells him she’s a virgin … then says she not got much experience then H “discovers” she’s a virgin and thinks “she wasn’t joking when she said she didn’t have much experience. Also at start of book she has a dog and then it’s never mentioned again all through the book. Story very far fetched in part too. Struggled to get through this and wish I had a pound for every time I rolled my eyes!

Good but…

I really would have liked to have scored this book higher as I liked the idea of the book and some parts has some quite funny comments.
Didn’t like the Daddy bit as it came out of nowhere. Instant love…not sure.
Quite a few inconsistencies and unfinished parts.
What happened to the dog?
The spelling and grammar mistakes throughout the book let it down.
However I will read the next book as I like the storyline and often in a series of books they improve as the series progresses.

love the strong women characters

I liked the book and plot but the “my love” stuff was a bit much. I would like to see names used more often than not. I realize that the author must be from the UK but using the word “arse” over and over for a Texan would be utterly ridiculous. If you ever need a proof reader or beta reader let me know, there were some simple misused words. This ended up being more a a writing critique then a review. The book itself is really well done I I just love Mia, talk about a bad ass woman.

Could not even get 2 Chapters in

I'm so disappointed in this book. I liked the premise of the story line, but the constant run on sentences were a turn off. Not to mention how you're dumped in the middle of the plot wondering how the characters got their skills. The biggest annoyance was the author trying to make the heroine a badass, but making her talk and giggle like a 15yr old....Maybe getting a better editor would help??

Great story absolutely rubbish execution!

This is a one star book due to spelling and punctuation errors, also the timelines are unclear if you are going to publish a book ensure it is edited properly. The upside is it had a promising storyline and with a good editor or better writer it would be good book. Due to all the problems with this one I will not continue with the rest of the series.

I liked the story line, and the characters. I found the same as other reader’s comments, I was rereading some sentences to try and edit to understand what the Author meant. I agree that the three books I have read so far all could strongly use more editing. I will read her other series, for the most part I enjoyed her books

Oh my gosh Mia is a badass!! This book had you laughing one minute, worried about the club the next minute then laughing again! Poor Mia has 3 protective brothers, protective dad and mom now she also has a protective man, good thing she knows how to handle them all! I cant wait for Killer and Toni's story, hopefully it has his groveling in it! ;)

Not great, but not bad!

The premise is great, strong independent woman, possessive males. The main problem for me was the editing, not knowing the area you write about, also if you are writing about the U.S. need to us the correct terminology. Would I recommend...most likely yes, but with Cervantes.

When I started reading this book I thought that despite the grammatical errors and complete lack of editing it had potential, unfortunately the more I read the more I found myself rolling my eyes and cringing (especially at daddy and little girl being used constantly).
Would not recommend and will not be continuing the series but would commend the author on doing something that I could not.

Good story , Bad Editing.

The story idea was good , however like other reviews mentioned the editing is horrible. I'm able to read and correct as I go along so for me I could overlook it ( mostly it was really bad) but for others it might be too much. Also , SPOILERS!!!! Not a huge fan of the Daddy thing during the steamy stuff.

Needs editing

So, I did actually enjoy this book and will be reading the next one. It definitely needs editing. There are a lot of missing words or wrong words used like me instead of my.
Despite the mistakes, it was still a fun read.. It's not even a bit realistic, but if I wanted real, I'd watch the news..

I liked this book but..... Kinda hard reading a book based in Texas that all the characters talk using Australian slang. Not many texans say arse or nappy LOL Having said that it was a pretty decent story. It needs some serious editing. No really some seriously, serious EDITING. LOL

Not good reading

The best part of this book is the cover. Writing is pretty amateurish. Plot is bordering on being silly. The whole "daddy" thing is just weird. An entire family of mercenaries with a daughter that is written up to be some terrorist Barbie is ridiculous.
