Shonni "Noni" is Kingston "Nike's" first love and vice versa. Noni's a good girl who wants more from Nike than he's willing to offer, so after graduation she runs to Atlanta to start college and get a fresh start from Nike after he's broken her heart not once, but twice. Nike loves her but he just can't seem to get things right so he pushes her out of mind and out of sight. But after 4 years of being gone Noni returns, not only running from an abusive ex but also because she has a secret and she needs Nike help. How will he deal with the bomb Noni drops on him? Will he man up? Or keep her buried in the past?

For this to be the author first book she did a really good job. The story was fast past as far as the time line goes, it was like the next days event before you knew it. For King to be such a hustler his character traits come off as a cry baby. He does more whining about getting back with his ex than she does. He actually got on my nerves because he didn't respect her space. He held her at fault for everything. Noni's character went through a lot, I feel like her character could have had more time to heal and get her back on track. At that point I think the connection would have been better. Trina actually stuck out more in the story, she was very up front about herself and feeling. Granted she did have her hang ups. I like Duke, he's a no-none sense type of guy, but he knows when to accept love is better. The story has a lot of potential, some of the descriptions could have been smoother, but it's a work in progress. As far as the ending goes, for me I think it gave away too much. All in all it kept my attention, I would definitely read part 2. Beside I need to knew what happens to tweedle dumb and tweed dumber.
They first book I dislike from Tay…I’m not feeling the relationship between either couple. Both women are silly. Duke sleeps with Farrah and Trina. Trina is supposedly his baby, his love. Farrah just something to do. But the minute Trina meets someone else, Duke gets pissed, gets violent with the other guy, and Trina is apologizing. That was throwing me off. Same concept with Noni and Nike. Nike is consistently sleeping with Taliyah and Noni. He will literally sleep with Taliyah, then Noni the next day, his excuse… until Noni gets back with him, he will continue to sleep with Taliyah…BRO you forced Noni to move with you. You have sex with her…what do you mean. Noni and Trina was allowing too much for me and I don’t care for their happily ever after because the men were exhausting and the women constantly apologized when they didn’t do anything wrong. Oh! Noni finally gets a little action from another guy and then she is terrified that Nike will find out. WHO CARES! He sleeps with you and Taliya y’all still not even. He holding you hostage and doesn’t want you to move on while he sleeps with Taliyah. I was hating the story more and more. Both women met men who they could’ve progressed with but no they want their dirty d**k men. Super weak women in this book
I love Tay MoNae, but she did us a disservice with this book. All of these characters were annoying as hell. They were all childish, immature, dramatic, contradictory and selfish AF. Duke and Nike both swore that they were in love but never ever once stopped sleeping with other women. What kind of love is that? Nike talked about the Taliyah chick but ran his butt over there every chance he got. In addition, he was helly hypocritical, worried about Duke dogging out Trina, yet he was doing the same thing to Shonnie.Shonni was super dumb butt was always keeping secrets, talking about she forgot to tell someone. WTF? Your sister is in danger and you forget to tell someone that you received a call. Then Trina’s dumb psychotic butt always fighting while pregnant. Who purposefully puts their baby in danger like that. So all of that to say, this book was just okay to me. I will definitely never get the time that I wasted reading this book back.😡
The characters were very dense to the point it was just unbelievable. That goes for both the main and supporting characters. None of the characters' actions or thoughts were consistent with those of functioning adults. Momma T was the only one that had common sense. I was hoping as I read there would be some character growth but sadly there wasn't any. In addition to the poor character development, the story was mediocre. Many of the events in the book were either extremely unrealistic or unnecessary. I've read other books by this author that I really enjoyed but this one wasn't it. Though i really disliked this book, I will continue to support this author.
"4 Ever Down With Him" should have been titled "How To Get Away With Murder," because there was a whole lot of homicide in this love story! Kingston and Duke had been best friends since they were in single digits, and they were not to be messed with, especially when it came down to the women they loved! For Kingston and Noni, this was a story of not second, but third chance love! Throw in a psychotic stalker ex-boyfriend, a few guys who can't take no for an answer, a few women who can't take no for an answer, a few weirdos in the medical profession, and you have another excellent reading experience courtesy of Tay Mo'Nae!
Oh. My. God!! I have never wanted to fight every main character in a book before. Trina, Noni, King and Duke got on my nerves! Duke the less, but the rest of them? I wanted to shake them like a Polaroid picture! I felt all of them needed to grow up and were too old to be acting the way they did. Especially King. How do you claim to love and want to be with someone but you for the streets until you get what you want? Anyway, I was glad to see them finally get their lives together and have healthy relationships. It was definitely a journey, and I’m glad it’s over. LOL
This book just flowed. I mean all the characters are well developed it a great story. The writers style just draws you in to the characters lives . Nike and noni was playing games. Noni holding back on information from nike cause alot of unnecessary pain and suffering in her life. Nike been an ass cause her to keep the info from him. Trina and duke story was just as good as the lead characters. Great cliffhanger can't wait for part 2.Now if we can get lo a man the circle we be complete. Good job tay. kc mills is find a lot of great talent this year
This was my first time reading a book from you. The opening had me hooked and it kept my attention. The storyline flowed nice and the characters were relatable. Both Noni and King were childish in the beginning and Noni is like most woman and think that she can handle things on her own until something happens. Trina and Duke we're crazy. I believe the attraction was already there the liquor just gave them the courage to act on it. Great book and I can't wait for part two
Another great read from this author!!! I loved Nike and Duke. They initially got on my nerves with the jump offs. Farrah and Taliyah were super thirsty. Evelynn was thirsty but I hate it ended the way it did for her. The leading ladies Trina and Noni were awesome. I loved Trina’s feisty demeanor. She would fight for her man at the drop of a hat.. Glad her and Duke got it together. Noni get on my nerves with all the acting on impulse. I am glad by the end she learned to let her man do the dirty work. Great read👏🏽🙌🏽
Perhaps my lack of ghetto is showing cause I just couldn't comprehend WHY they hadn't turned the ex in to the cops? But I get it. They were hood 🥷's and had to handle and flex. I guess 🙄. IT WAS SELF DEFENSE!!!
These 4 were made for each other because loving anyone of them was hazardous to one's health!
These 4 had gold between their legs, and everyone was ready to risk it all to get it, geeze!
This is my first time reading books from this author. I’m definitely not disappointed, Shonni and Nike really need to get it together. Trina was making me mad, I get she was scared to tell her brother, but she should’ve just left Duke alone if she was going to be on bs. Dashawn was a hot crazy mess, I hope the catch Eve. Farrah needed to be punched . I hope Noni is ok⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow this 3 in 1 book is lit. My babies didn’t play at all Nike and Duke are beasts over their ladies and kids. And it seems everybody was coming at them but I’m glad they got their karma. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of ur books. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
I swear Noni and Trina is some of the most immature females I have ever read about. They have gotten on my nerves the whole book. Duke and Nike are fuck boys and messes around with all these crazy chicks. I could not finish it. I was about 80% done but I just couldn't take any more of the stupidity and childish behavior. It was good but there's a limit to the amount of drama I want in a book.
These characters worked my nerves so bad, especially Trina omg she was a hot mess, childish, indecisive and always ready to pop off.
Didn’t care for King Noni or Duke either. Noni trying to regain feeling in her legs but kept them spread for King and Shamar, gross 🤮
King and Duke were 2 in the same they claimed they had so much love for the girls but couldn’t stop sleeping with or chilling with other women smh, I’m glad to see them go they were too much.
This was a great book their were so many delusional people in this book. Taliyah thought she was more than a screw. Farrah I'm not so sure about I am happy that she helped Trina & Sophia out they definitely would have died. Noni ex was the most delusional one of them all she should have killed him. Duke was a mess in the beginning I'm glad he got himself together. King was just that.
So I usually love all Tay Mo’Nae books but I just couldn’t with this one. It was wayyyy too much drama. All the main characters were immature. I literally skipped through half the book. Noni was weak. Like why do you authors think sex solves everyone issues? These men were out sleeping with other when on one page then sleeping with “their woman” on the next page. Thats beyond nasty!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ There was so many twisted and turns but I definitely enjoyed the ride. Both couples couldn’t get it together for most of the book and that was so annoying because it was a lot of self sabotaging. I was able to read the story in a day due to it being so good.
The story has some grammatical errors but not too many to take away from the story.
I would recommend especially if someone is looking to read a really messy story. 💖
This was a very good read. It was entertaining and fast paced. Although there were some obvious editing errors, they did not substantially take away from the reading. But that cliffhanger though? I can see that being a big problem! Like what was she doing? Why did she do that? I can't say much more without giving away the story though.... Can't wait for part twoooooooo
I loved this story they had to go through it for real love that damn Dashawn was a super special case he needed to come back to life and killed a few more times Shoni and King were meant to be Trina was a hot mess but Duck should have told her about the shop what the hell she was suppose to think the way he was moving SHamri was just dumb and desperate
This book definitely had drama galore. The title was exactly what the women went through with their men. Although the men had their fill of the shenanigans, the women weren’t two for behind them. All of the characters were immature and got on my nerves at some point, the author did pretty good with the character development.
I liked this story from beginning to end! Its a quick read but once I started I couldn't put the story down!! I definitely think if you like "ride or die" style books you will enjoy reading this!! It has some crazy plots in it as well
In my opinion it needs another part to it maybe a small part 2 read
Ok so I instantly fell in love with the characters. Each page has something new that sucks you right into the story. That ending tho.. I hope everybody gets it together. Can't wait for part two.
I read this entire book while I was suppose to be working but it's ok it was worth it great read I can't wait for part 2. I'm looking forward to what she has coming in the future.
Noni and King both need to grow up. King needs to stop bringing other females into the picture knowing he doesn't want them. Deshawn, Evelynn and Farrah need to seek some help.
I really enjoyed your book I couldn't put it down. Yes definitely have you a new fan. Noni was my favorite her a Trina. Please don't let nothing happen to her. I hope Deshawn get what's coming to him. Duke is real life crazy ass hell. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL PT2
This book was great and I hope Shonni is OK! I hate Evelyn evil behind and she gotta go! Farrah was super petty too! Character and plot development was good and there was plenty of drama!
U petty for that ending but I can't wait for part 2 I hope Nike kills that damn deshawn and duke get there to save them. This was an amazing book and won't be my last time reading from this author
STORYLINE OFF THE CHAIN CHARACTERS I LOVE THEM ...THIS FIREMAN IS CRAZY ...HE DON'T KNOW HOW TO KEEP HIS HANDS TO HIMSELF BUT WANTS SOMEONE TO STAY AND TAKE IT OMG THIS HOTTER THEN FISH GREASE OUT FREAKING STANDING
OMG this book was really good. Nike is bae. Everybody called Noni stupid but I honest think she was very scared and didn’t know what to do. Trina, so glad she got her truth out now I just hope things fall into place. Great job! On to part 2
This was my first book by this author. Man Nike got on my nerves expecting her to just forget he played her twice. I don’t like his butt. Let me jump in book 2 and see if my feelings change.
