Short bible study

Liked what the author had to say. Was especially impressed how he was able to identify and biblically back up the virtues of this woman

An Interesting study of the woman of Samaria in John 4

Most of us have been taught that the woman at the well was one of ill repute, but is that what Scripture says? In this short but thought-provoking book, we are shown something entirely different. Using only scripture to define the scene, and a well defined description of the culture of the day, we find some new and interesting insights into the character of this woman. I challenge bible students to read this with an open mind and heart.

I won this in a Goodreads Giveaway and it was not what I expected at all. Instead of telling or explaining John Chapter 4 it seemed to be an in depth analysis of Chapter 4 and arguing some interpretation of the story. It was largely lost on me, I think it is really aimed at biblical scholars. Thank for for sharing though, I will pass this on to someone that might appreciate it more!

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Glad to see someone else who has actually read the story. I can completely support the author's interpretation. My only disappointment is the rather consistent negative judgement of the reader...

CHALLENGING!

This book will chalenge your thinking of this well known verse and although I don’t agree with everything, it really does make one think deeper and now the superficial.

Well worth a read, read with an open mind.
