Socialite Mariah Pearle has everything that money can buy, but none of the things she really wants. When her boyfriend of several years dumps her instead of proposing, she makes a foolish mistake that results in her being sentenced to community service. And the man she has to work with is none other than Eric Woods, her ex-husband. Her first love, and the man she never stopped loving.

When Mariah Pearle walks into his office, one look at her is enough to show Eric Woods that he’s never gotten over his ex-wife. But even while the passion heats up between them once more, can they overcome what tore them apart before? Will love be enough to conquer all this time?

I really liked the book. But I felt like it was almost two books in one. The author wrote this sexy story. Then something really horrific happens in the middle of the book, and it completely changed the dynamic of the book. The author did an amazing job taking the reader step by step with all the emotions. It was fantastic. I forgot briefly I was reading a romance novel. Then the book switched gears and went back to a hot, passionate story line. The author can definitely write stories that are interesting and that make the reader wanting more. Personally I just felt the book was almost two different books that were put together and it left me a little confused. The author is clearly talented and I look forward to reading another book from her soon!

A sweet and sexy story (appropriately sexy) that brought a few tears to my hardened eyes. Had to stay up all night to see how it ended :)
