Jonestown: DRINKING THE KOOL-AID

Rate this book

Jim Jones, leader of the “Peoples Temple”

This is the man that we all think of when we hear the words the “Peoples Temple,” “cult leader,” “mass murderer” and, of course, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid." To this day, people wonder how Jim Jones evolved from an idealistic young man to a maniacal cult leader who led a mass suicide in the country of Guyana.

Fooling Innocents

What does it take someone who is born with mental problems to fool thousands of people to believe in insanity. To be so charming that people would kill their own children. Jim Jones was insane. But this is an accurate description of what was reported. Excellent read

Really interesting read. I would have liked to see a bit more information on the people but it is what it is. Excellent for a short story.

Very tragic ending for those that chose to follow. Jim Jones. A reminder that things aren't always what they seem.

Too Short

This book was good but left out a lot of details. It was way too short for such an interesting and in depth topic.
