The first saga introduced a world called Metamoor, ruled by a tyrannical ruler named Prince Phobos. Years ago, Prince Phobos caused the disappearances of his parents and took over the capital city, Meridian. To prevent his spreading tyranny, the Oracle lowered a veil over the planet, separating Metamoor from the rest of the worlds under Kandrakar's protection. However, twelve portals opened between Meridian and Earth, creating a series of passageways for the desperate refugees and monsters of Meridian to infiltrate Earth. The portals also weaken the veil and in order to prevent this, generations of Guardians were sent to protect it from collapsing. In the present day, five girls are chosen to become the new Guardians: Wilhelmina Vandom, the Guardian of Energy and the Keeper of the Heart, making her the leader; Irma Lair, the new Guardian of Water; Taranee Cook, the Guardian of Fire; Cornelia Hale, the Guardian of Earth; and Hay Lin, the Guardian of Air. Together, they must prevent the collapse of the veil and promote justice throughout the universe under the guidance of the Oracle of Kandrakar.

I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this comic series once again. I started reading them for the first time when I was around 9 and I remember loving them. Sadly for some reason I stopped, maybe they stopped selling them in Portugal or I just watched the tv show on Disney Channel.
But thank the lord, a couple of weeks ago I just saw them here on goodreads and it brought so many memories that I decided to go and look for how many issues had been out (139) and if I could still buy them. With no luck whatsoever I just forgot about it... but I kept thinking about them and for some reason, I just had to find out how it had ended. So, I made my personal mission to find out if there was any change that I could download them or read them online. And EUREKA!!! Apparently I am not the only grown up that wants to relive her childhood :)
First I thought I was just gonna read a couple of them and then maybe skip to the end just to know how they finished the series. But oh boy, was I taken on a ride. I am completed addicted and know have the intention to read them all. Oh and also... I am watching the tv show too. Not has good as the comics but still very entertaining.
The story is just fun, light and easy, but with a touch of mystery and complexity... and the art work is GORGEOUS!!!
A nostalgic return to my roots in comics. W.I.T.C.H. was the first physical comic I ever read, rereading it felt like revisiting childhood friends. So happy I did that⭐️
I really like this book because personally I personally like drawing, comics, painting and other stuff related to art. I also like it because it attracts the reader into reading more till the end. I would really recommend this book if your a comic lover like me or if you enjoy pictures such as animes or half cartoon, half anime looking pictures. So if you decide to read this book/comic enjoy it and I hope you like it.
