Sometimes two isn’t enough for a happily ever after.
Shifters Roy Cocker and Bill Soreno have been together for years, but they’d never become mates. Roy had not been able to fully commit to forever when a part of his heart belonged to a man he’d once left behind in San Francisco.
Now that man, Adrian Marlow, shows up in Harrington Hills unexpectedly, and their world gets thrown out of whack. Roy can’t go through losing Adrian the second time, Bill’s instincts are sending him mixed signals, and Adrian? Adrian doesn’t want to get his heart broken again.
But can he really leave Harrington Hills behind after only one day? Or is there a way for the three of them to right the old wrongs, heal each other’s wounds, and become something more?

Roy and Bill are partners for a long time. Only they never mate. Roy just can't. There is something missing....someone. Ten years before he met Adrian. Who he left behind. Both with a hole in their heart.
Adrian is in town. Just to deliver his friend Patrick, who wants to be with a pack. Sitting for breakfast Roy steps in and he smells a familiar scent...he is shocked. Bill feels there is something wrong with his partner and hurries to him. He never met Adrian but knows when he sees him....he is immediately possessive.....Roy and Bill both...
"a mate loved their chosen one with all their heart"
When Adrian sees Bill his mind is confused and his heartbeat accelerates. Then Roy takes charge and makes Adrian an offer...
A complicated relationship very well described and very appealing put together. The tension between the three was amazing, the hurt, the doubts, the considerations all very good. Their dynamic was intense. Their threesome sensual and hot. What I missed was a bit of what happened ten years before between Roy and Adrian. Great story with a lot of love and awesome written.
Review backdated; I read this as an ARC (courtesy of the author, whom I am happy to know) and forgot to add and review here. My bad!
By now, Harrington Hills werewolves are a bit of a comfort read for me. This triad romance might not have been particularly my thing, or quite the favourite of the bunch, but there was a lot of fun in returning to the known setting and seeing glimpses of characters I know in the background. That said, this had a bit more angst than the previous volumes, and I thought that was quite an interesting direction for the series to take.
