I felt technically nothing for this book. It just was. Michael ‘Mikey’ Reinhart (25) and pride alpha Lukas Waverly (how old?) was a cute couple, I guess, but I didn't feel anything between them expect desire (as in; there was just sex between them). There was also the fact that I didn't feel like there was anything shifter related in this book, expect for the mpreg. Overall, this was just a read that will be forgotten quickly. A easy, fast read, with little depth.
Lukas scooped me up as if I weighed nothing at all. The feeling of being cradled against his chest made me swoon. He was so hard, a wall of pure muscle. Even his scent was amazing—like the jungle and the hunt and pure raw dominance.

I was a big fan of Judith Shale's first story, Omega Twink, so I was happy to see that she had a new story.
This story was low on angst, had decent chemistry and heat between the two MCs, and a couple of conflicts to keep things interesting. I enjoyed this, but probably not as much as the first story I read from her. Mikey came across as very young, I was surprised when I read that he was 25, as he seemed closer to 18.
Personally, I would have preferred a bit more attention to the world building - do humans (aside from Mikey's friends) know about shifters, do they know the men can get pregnant, and the conflict with Mikey's screenplay seemed just a bit over the top and not realistic.
Still, I enjoyed Mikey and Lukas (even though I don't know how the alpha can know everyone but not Mikey enough to know they're mates) and thought they had good chemistry together.
I'll be looking forward to the next story from this author.

Mikey grew up in a small town and left for college and a life in New York City. He wants to be a successful screenwriter and has a screenplay he has been working on for years. Lukas is the pride alpha in town although he and Mikey have never met before. It takes about two seconds after they do meet for Mikey’s beginning heat to blossom into an inferno and they recognize each other as mates. The few days of heat sex are pretty intense but both men come to a stumbling halt when Lukas insists that Mikey has to get pregnant right now and Mikey feels it’s far too soon, plus he has a movie producer interested in his script. Lukas is under some pressure as well seeing as his brother is trying to take away his alpha position claiming the pride needs a family man.

Pregnant for the Alpha was the first book I've read by Judith Shale. It was a fun short read. I liked it.

What a charming book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were well developed and thought out. Mikey is an Omega and Lukas is an Alpha and they are the MC’s of this book and mates. There was humor, tiger shifters, jaguar shifters, betrayal, mates, family, a movie, a baby and so much more in this book. The only thing that I really didn't like is I felt like Mikey gave in up in a way. Without spoiling the book, I can't explain much but it was like who he was overshadowed by the mating. But overall it was all good book.

Mikey has a meeting with Herman, a movie producer, about his screen play which Herman says needs work! This upsets Mikey so he goes home to North Hanglake to spend time with his mum! After 5 season in heat his mum tells him that his mate is out there!
After meeting with his friends, Kaye & Peter (humans) and Tony, a shifter photographer Mikey gets this overwhelming feeling that his mate is close. Lukas finds Mikey, on the ground with Kaye, she tells Lukas that Mikey's in season and doesn't know what to do! Lukas takes control, scooping Mikey into his arms and taking him to his house! Mikey knows he's found his mate, but Lukas upsets him when he tells him that he wants to put a baby in him. He doesn't want a baby he's going to be a famous screenwriter!!!
There are plenty of twist and turns with both Joseph and Herman that keeps you gripped to the end.
A very enjoyable read.

As he walks he thinks about his screenplay then stops outside an unknown door which he realizes is the Pride Leaders Office but he finds it hard to continue on past it.He has a good time with his friends. He walks home with Kaya who lives along the way but as they get near the Pride Leaders Office Mikey starts to feel ill and when Kaya calls out in alarm Alpha Lukas Waverly appear and it becomes apparent that Lukas is Mikey's mate.

Mikey is jaguar shifter and an omega. He is coming into heat and really wants to find his alpha. On returning home he is walking past the group leader Luke Waverley’s house when he collapses, overcome with his heat spasms. Luke comes out and collects him up taking him into his house and Mikey knows he has found his Alpha. The one problem he has is that Luke wants to begin a family immediately whereas Mikey wants to wait a while.
This is a very hot story. While not a fan of Mpreg, this is very well written and also very hot! There is more to the story than just Mikey finding his mate but also the problems Luke has with his brother wanting to take over.
All in all not bad way to spend an evening reading.

Mikey figures he will find his alpha someday. He is a budding screenwriter hoping to have success there since he has not found his one yet. When he hits a snag with a script and goes home to visit his mother he does find his guy. Lukas, his mate, literally finds him in time to help him through his heat. Lukas wants and needs a family as he is being challenged by his sibling for control of the pride. Mikey is not sure that he wants to start a family right away as he has been working on being a success as a writer. There is not a lot of angst as they work through their different goals to their HEA.

Nice story. Herman posed as producer; Michael wrote screen play of Omegas struggling to find their way through discriminating society. Herman kept asking for revisions which no longer matched Michael's original intent. Will Michael ever get his dream screenplay published? What is Herman up to? Lukas recognized Mikey as his mate immediately and acted accordingly. His brother, Joseph wanted to challenge him for Alpha. Will Joseph succeed? Will Lukas get his goal of a family? Do Mikey and Lukas find love? Nice characters. Mikey's Mom was a hoot! It would be nice to hear more about her life. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Mikey and Lukas are the main characters in this cute, quick read. I enjoyed the storyline, but felt it could be expanded into a longer story. I felt the connection between Mikey and Lukas, even though it's a true mate connection and instalove, I did see it. One big con in my eyes is that the 2 main characters don't even shift until the epilogue; we know there is a Pride but there is very little insight into the world of shifters. All in all it was a good solid book that I will reread. 3.5 stars

Mikey's dream is to be a successful screenwriter, so he moves to New York to try and achieve his dream. On a rare trip home, he goes into heat and meets his Alpha, Lukas, who's is also the Pride alpha.
Lukas' brother thinks he should be Alpha, because he already has a family, so Lukas convinces Mikey to try for a family right away. Mikey ends up moving home to be with Lukas, but continues to work on getting his screenplay made into a movie. The brother continues to be a nuisance, but says he'll wait for the baby to be born to challenge Luke.
The brother does try to discredit Luke, going so far as to kidnap and drug him, but Mikey brings a friend with a camera and to rescue him. He ends up getting forced out of town before he can challenge Lukas.
Lukas wants Mikey's movie to be made, and he's tired of Mikey getting dicked around by a industry person. So he finds a way to get it made without funding it completely. They also successfully sue the other guy for trying to steal the screenplay.
This was an okay read. First of they are shifters, but they don't shift until the epilogue. There wasn't anything wrong with the writing, but it wasn't great either. I think Mikey was 25, but he seemed juvenile.

Comfortable story of alpha and omega and a baby (mpreg)
I believe this is first book I've read by this author. Well constructed story about a young man who moves to NYC as an aspiring screenwriter, but on his first visit back home to his small town, he meets and falls in love with the alpha of his local pride. There are twists and turns and the necessary HEA.

A quick read that I loved. Great storyline that really captivated me and kept me glued to my kindle from beginning to end. Lukas and Mikey are great characters with lots of chemistry and a strong connection. I love watching their relationship grow. This was my first book by this author but it definitely won't be my last!

Not bad
This isn't a bad story, but I wish it had some more detail to it. I feel like it is flat and lacking in strong emotion. I like the premise, but not so much how it evolved. I also don't like how Lukas demanded that Mikey stay with him and get pregnant right away. He didn't end up acting like a jerk, so why make him a huge one at the beginning like that?

Though I'm generally not into LGBT romance, I'm a fan of omegaverse and of shifter romance books so I latched unto this one.
I've gotta say I wasn't disappointed at all! It was an enjoyable read with great characters and a great plot.

Mikey just wants to find his mate and write movies. Hes more then ecstatic to possibly have his work produced. Mikey finds his alpha when he goes home. Lukas has been waiting for his mate and now that hes found him hes not willing to give him up.

Honestly, I loved the small portions about his filmmaking since it was different and showed the hobbies and passion he had outside of the relationship. The plot part of that was also rather unique and interesting. While I also feel like the alpha did have all too much of a personality, their relationship was alright and the protagonist was rather well done.

This was a very enjoyable read which was written in first person through the perspective of Mikey, the omega. The last chapter was written through the eyes of Lukas, Mikey's alpha mate. The characters were interesting but I really liked the personality of Mikey's mother. She had a lot of spunk and was truly a caring person. The conclusion was sweet and very satisfying.

This is a lovely story with mpreg theme. I like Mikey and Lukas and their progression from "insta love mates" to a strong couple was smooth. There was just enough of a danger element to add to the story without overtaking the romance. An enjoyable read.

Okay book. Kind of different from other shifter book. There was no biting..which I love. There was no knotting..which I also love. But there was mates, so that was a plus. And I kind of wished something more was done to the brother, he got off way to easily.

Omega cat shifter falls at the feet of his Alpha cat mate while in heat. Initially I thought the Alpha was too demanding, but he turned out to be very supportive of his mate. It was very sweet, and even the villains weren't horrible. It reminded me of a cartoon.

This was a good read. The storyline was interesting and full of action and adventure. The characters are exciting. If you love a great romance adventure then this story is for you.This was a first read from thid author and will not be the last .

I felt like every plot point of this book was missed. We knew all of the conflicts, but the book basically skipped to the moment all was well. Also, Mikey was basically forced into having a baby. I’m not really a fan of Insta-love, too, so that made it a little worse for me.
