The Buckhorn series is always a great escape! Great romances, fun characters, entertaining storylines and adorable pets..is there any other reason I need to list this as a favorite series?! Garrett and a Gray’s stories are my favorites in this volume, but Shohn and Adam give a good showing too. Definitely time well spent!

PSA: (Because I bought this thinking these were books I didn't own, then found they were duplicates. Argh! There goes $5.99 down the drain that I wish I'd spent elsewhere.)

Shohn = Buckhorn Ever After (published as a standalone (?) and in Animal Attraction/Buckhorn Ever After/Imagine Me And You/Gimme Shelter/Partner In Crime )

Garrett = Back to Buckhorn Back to Buckhorn

Gray = A Buckhorn Summer A Buckhorn Summer

Adam = A Buckhorn Bachelor A Buckhorn Bachelor

Hopefully this info will keep you too from being bait-and-switched.

Great stories and progression but....

Love all the characters but would have thought Georgia would have been included more especially in the books GRAY and ADAM since they were abouther children Lisa and Adam.

All these are novellas so very short stories with not much depth. You actually get 5 stories with the fifth being the bonus story Kiss and Makeup.

So to make it easy, I rated a star for each story which is why this review is 3.25 stars. I liked all the stories except Shohn and Garrett which sadly were the two I was most interested in besides Gray's.

I wish there was more depth to Shohn's story. He just came across as an ass. A total player who is upset cause the women he is attracted to won't fall at his feet like the rest of the female population. Like hello, you've done nothing to let her know you would be interested in more?? And you weren't even sure you wanted more until you kissed her. The story didn't convince me his relationship could go beyond a hookup. So I took a star off cause Shohn's story was a bust for me.

I took a half star off for Garrett's story because the plot reminded me too much of Casey's story and Casey's plot was better. Garrett was very likeable and while he was similar to Morgan, there were enough differences in his personailty that I wasn't unconciously comparing him to Morgan.

The rest of the stories were great. I really liked Gray's story. I felt that despite the length, there was enough there for you to understand Lisa and Gray and where they were coming from. The plot was a bit "eh" especially with the mysterious vandalism but not too much out there that the possibility of it happening was nil. Kiss and Makeup was a wonderful surpise and awesome story. I really enjoyed that one too.

The final quarter star that I took off on the rating was for Adam's story and it's because of Amber. Amber is a recurring character in all the novellas in this collection except for Kiss and Makeup. She's Garrett's sister and wow is she hella annoying in each of the stories but so much so in Adam's story.

Amber meddles by "setting" each of her cousins up with their mates and I mean "setting" by giving totally worthless advice and helping to make her male cousins jealous. Now if she done it in a tactful and very low key way, I would greatly enjoy her role in these books. However, her meddling usually contributes to the obstacle the couples have to overcame and I felt it was such a pointless plot twist that didn't add anything but frustration. I felt considering the constraint the author already had of it being a novella and thus limited word count, she could have done something else to add depth to the plot or characters besides Amber's meddling.
