In the aftermath of Jaime Lannister's brutal attack upon Eddard Stark and his men, King Robert meets with the wounded Eddard-and presents him with a choice of evils: either Eddard accepts the heavy mantle of the King's Hand once more . . . or Robert will appoint Jaime to the position. Adding to the troubles of House Stark, Tyrion Lannister wins his freedom from Catelyn Stark; now the Imp will return to his father, intent on revenge for his treatment at the hands of Cat and her mad sister. Meanwhile, far to the north, the bastard Jon Snow becomes a sworn brother of the Night's Watch and must put his loyalty to the Starks aside.

DISCLAIMER: there is not even one booby in this issue ! I know, for that alone, this deserves 1 star, but whatever..
One of my favorite scenes from the first book. It's also very important because ,I think, it holds the answer for many questions such as what the knights of kingsguard were doing in the Tower of Joy instead of protecting the King Aerys in King's Landing or fighting alongside Rhaegar in the battle of Trident. Was it because they were protecting Lyanna who was giving birth to Rhaegar's child at that time? And what exactly did Lyanna want Eddard to promise to do?
This is Robert slapping Cercei and she deserves it
Serves you right, you bastard!!!
Speaking of bastards, hey, Jon!
And Catelyn, she is so gorgeous in these comics, I just can't get enough of her!
..enough to drown the Freys, Boltons and Lannisters, I hope, Cat..
And guess who this is, I'd never thought I'd see you like this, Littlefinger, not so cocky now, are you?
Brynden Tully, The Blackfish makes an appearance in the Vale. The Arryn boy and his mother are trying to punish Tyrion Lannister, who demands a trial of combat, here Ser Bronn of the Blackwater is his champion. In King's Landing, Ned dream of the War of the Usurper.
George R.R. Martin, “A Game of Thrones: The Graphic Novel” (NY: Bantam, 2014) Issue#13 {It was said that Rhaegar had named that place the Tower of Joy, but for Ned it was a bitter memory.} “You can't hammer tin into iron.” - Jon - - -
Again, Wrapped up far too quickly and failed to linger long enough on any area to really capitalize on it, Which again is very disappointing and why I gave it such a low rating.
