This is the best book to read clinical examination from. The author has a clear understanding of what is medicine and what is not and tries his best to convey that information to reader. Traditionally held (wrong) beliefs are challenged in quite plain text. For example, what's the normal respiratory rate, according to you?

An excellent book for mastering the basic skills like history taking and physical examination. I have reviewed it multiple time over the years using the fourth, fifth and now the newer sixth edition. the new edition is very colorful and has many useful tables summerizing high yield information. highly recommended.

Currently, in my internal medicine residency, I felt that I need to revise my clinical examination knowledge and skills.

I went back to read this book again, and I have to say it's one of the greatest medical books ever.

I feel I will always need to reread throughout my medical career.
